‘’I am so not ready for this’’ Jennie muttered as she looked at the sky high tower in front of her. Good thing Chaeyoung cuddled with her last night or else, she would be having eyebags right now. Jennie tightened her grip on Chaeyoung’s hand ‘’Please tell me this is a dream’’

Chaeyoung chuckled ‘’Unfortunately you’re up and awake wifey’’ She said ‘’Now don’t be sad, we’re not immediately going to bungee jump. We’ll take some pictures first, go to the café, sightseeing and then we’ll finally bungee jump’’

Jennie gulped ‘’Aren’t you scared for this? Like we’re literally going to jump 192 meters straight down’’

Chaeyoung laughed ‘’Well, I’m kind of a thriller person to exciting rides and heights. I’m a bit nervous though but I know my adrenaline will kick in at that moment’’ She said before winking at her ‘’I want to make sure I’ll be there…assuring you that everything will be alright’’ She said sweetly

‘’Aww hubby’’ Jennie blushed ‘’That’s so sweet of you’’ She smiled making Chaeyoung avert her eyes away from her while stuttering a small ‘’A-anything for you…’’

‘’We got the ticket!’’ Alice smiled ‘’Let’s go love birds! It’s time to see the amazing view of New Zealand!’’

Both wifey and hubby blushed at her statement but nonetheless, went with her while meeting up with their parents along the way.

‘’Well, first we’re going to eat a few snacks so that no one would suddenly faint from nervousness’’ Mrs. Kim said while looking at her daughter teasingly ‘’Sky Café is our first stop this afternoon, let’s go!’’ She exclaimed making Mrs. Park laughed at her enthusiasm as they shared a mother talk along with Alice, while Mr. Park and Mr. Kim talked about their youths in this very city.

Chaeyoung couldn’t help but smile at the scene in front of her, it feels like she’s complete, like there’s nothing more perfect than what she’s experiencing right now...

‘’Seems like our families getting along’’ Jennie suddenly said beside her as if hearing her thoughts. Chaeyoung let out a giddy smile ‘’Yeah…it looks like it’’

‘’All that’s left is Kai and Kuma then we’re all complete’’ Jennie chuckled

‘’Don’t forget Joohwangie’’ Chaeyoung pouted

The cat-eyed girl laugh, looking at the young girl with fond eyes

‘’Yes hubby, Joohwangie too’’

‘’So what are you girls having?’’ Mrs. Kim asked

‘’I’ll take what my wifey will take’’ Chaeyoung smiled sweetly

‘’Kappiti Ice Cream mom’’ Jennie’s eyes lightened up ‘’Milk flavored if there is some as well as mango flavored, it's my hubby's favorite.’’

Chaeyoung’s heart fluttered ‘’She knows I love mangoes!’’ She smiled unknowingly at her wifey with love, which didn’t go unnoticed by Mrs. Kim

‘’How about some topping ms?’’ Mrs. Kim joked making Jennie roll her eyes playfully ‘’Just sprinkles and chocolate syrup mom’’ She murmured, a bit embarrassed that Chaeyoung is witnessing this

Chaeyoung giggled at the teasing look of Jennie’s mother ‘’Thank you Mrs. Kim, we really appreciate you guys for this vacation’’

Mrs. Kim grinned excitedly ‘’I take it you’re enjoying it very much?’’

Chaeyoung nodded immediately ‘’Totally! Especially since I’m with my wifey’’ She smiled lovingly to Jennie; unaware she was looking like a love struck idiot.

Mrs. Kim was surprised at that, it’s like Chaeyoung was suddenly love-stricken to Jennie, which she didn’t mind at all seeing the look of utter adoration in her daughter’s voice. She leaned towards Jennie’s ear and whispered ‘’You got her….now you better keep it and make her realize her own feelings’’

Jennie smiled ‘’I know…I’m just making sure she feels loved by me…and that she’s happy.’’

Mrs. Kim leaned away and sent out a proud smile to her daughter before walking away to get the orders.

Jennie looked outside and saw people sky walking at the tower ‘’Are we also going to do that?’’

‘’Definitely!’’

Alice’s voice made the two girls jump as Alice sat next to Jennie, much to the irritation of her younger sister.

‘’Alice why are you here….’’ Chaeyoung groaned while sending her sister some suspicious glares

‘’What I can’t hang out with my sister and her…’’ Alice looked at Jennie mischievously ‘’…wifey?’’

Chaeyoung grumbled, hating the way Jennie smile towards her sister ''Whatever...'' She huffed making the two older girls snicker.

‘’So…we’re really going to do that?’’ Jennie pointed out to the people who were sky walking outside the building.

Alice nodded excitedly ‘’Yup! We’re going sky walking after eating some snacks’’ She then winked at Chaeyoung ‘’Aren’t you excited lil sis?’’

Chaeyoung brightened up at the mention of sky walking outside the building ‘’Definitely! I’ll be sky walking with my wifey’’ She grinned at Jennie while sending a wink at her, she glanced at Alice who was giving her a knowing smirk making her suddenly realize what she said 

''A-and my family of course!'' Chaeyoung stuttered

Jennie could see Alice struggling to not laugh out loud seeing how her sister is acting so she chuckled ‘’Of course hubby’’ She winked back

‘’We’re not going to die right?’’

After eating some snacks, a few glares and triumphant smiles from Chaeyoung to Alice since Jennie fed her with her ice cream, they went on ahead to the section where they will sky walk. Right now, the guides are helping them suit up as well as go through safety protocols.

Jennie gulped and looked down ‘’I’m going to die not even having to confess to my oblivious hubby’’

‘’Hubby if I’m going to die, please know that I love you so much’’

Chaeyoung blushed and laughed as she was finished getting suit up ‘’Pabo, just hold my hand you scaredy-cat’’ She teased

‘’I-I’m not scared’’ Jennie huffed ‘’I’m just stating a fact’’

Chaeyoung smiled at how cute her wifey is ‘’Don’t worry my wife’’ Chaeyoung pulled her into a hug to reassure her ‘’I’ll protect you’’ She whispered

Jennie’s heart soared and her face was sporting a full blown blush making Mrs. Kim laughed silently and snapped a quick picture of it.

‘’You…you better’’ Jennie mumbled softly

‘’We’ll just enjoy the view okay? Focus on that my wifey so that you could enjoy’’ Chaeyoung smiled and pecked her in the forehead

Jennie grinned ‘’If I’m going to get more kisses like that, I’ll act more like a scaredy-cat’’ She flirted

Chaeyoung giggled and watched as their families started going towards the sides of the building. She held out her hand ‘’Let’s go?’’

Jennie grabbed her hand and intertwined them ‘’Let’s go’’

Chaeyoung didn’t mind that, in fact, her heart very much loved the feeling. The strong and cold wind immediately attacked them as they went outside and Jennie unconsciously pulled Chaeyoung to her and shivered from the cold wind.

‘’You cold?’’ Chaeyoung breathed out and visible cold air went out from . Jennie giggled ‘’I forgot that it’s Christmas season…It’s bound to get cold anyways’’

Chaeyoung frowned cutely and pulled Jennie close to her ‘’Stay close to me…It’s the least I could do’’ She smiled softly to her

‘’Thank you my hubby’’ Jennie grinned and tiptoed a bit to kiss her in the cheek.

Chaeyoung froze and held her kissed cheek tenderly before a smile stretched from her lips. ‘’Jennie…’’ She thought while looking at her wifey with a red tint on her face,

‘’Chaeyoung! Stop your googly eyes with Jennie, it’s your turn!’’ Alice yelled

Jennie chuckled while Chaeyoung pouted at her sister but both girls walked a bit faster to be with their family

‘’So, what are we doing?’’ Jennie asked

‘’We’re going to stand at the edge and pose’’ Mr. Kim answered her daughter

Chaeyoung excitedly went on ahead but Jennie has to let go of her hand. Jennie looked fearfully since they were quite high ‘’Please be careful hubby’’

‘’I will’’ Chaeyoung smiled reassuringly at her and ran her thumb at Jennie’s hand before letting her go. The instructor told Chaeyoung to hold the rope firmly as she balanced herself at the edge.

Chaeyoung did as she told and with a look of concentration, she got her balance right. As she looked down, a slight gulp was heard from her making her knees buckle a bit

‘’Relax ma’am, you’re safe with us’’ The instructor smiled at her ‘’You’re doing it, you just need to relax’’

Chaeyoung still feels a bit rigid even though she has a thrill for heights. Jennie noticed it and thought of something ‘’Um, excuse me? Can I stand beside her?’’

The instructor smiled ‘’Sure! I know what it feels like to be with your girlfriend’’ She chuckled

Jennie blushed a bit and followed the instructions as she balanced herself besides Chaeyoung ‘’This…is easier than I thought’’ Jennie laughed freely as the wind hit them making her squeal a bit.

The sound made Chaeyoung laugh ‘’Guess you’re not a scaredy-cat after all’’ She teased

‘’I’m the best after all’’ Jennie stuck out her tongue as she gloated

‘’Oh shut it wifey’’

Together with their family, they took on different poses as they walked around Sky Tower. Joking around and taking some pictures along with their family, both hubby and wifey admired New Zealand’s landscapes and beautiful scenery.

Jennie looked at the person beside her and leaned her head on her shoulder, smiling as Chaeyoung scooted closer to her ‘’There’s no one else who make me so happy like you do my hubby…’’

After the cold but fun walk around Sky Tower, they decided to rest a bit by the Sky Deck before they go on Sky Jumping, the highest floor in Sky Tower that offers amazing views and some worth picture taking for them.

‘’That was fun!’’ Chaeyoung laughed in exhilaration 

Jennie giggled and smiled softly at the view, her mind going back to the days she spent a few years living here ‘’New Zealand is still beautiful as I remember’’

‘’I know right?’’ Chaeyoung chuckled ‘’I have some of my memories here before we went to Australia’’

‘’So that’s where you got you Aussie accent’’ Jennie teased ‘’I was a bit confused since you’ve said this is where you were born and yet your accent is…different’’ ‘’More like hot’’

‘’Yeah’’ Chaeyoung smiled ‘’Want to take some picture?’’

Jennie’s eyes brightened up at that ‘’Can we?’’

‘’Of course’’ Chaeyoung giggled ‘’I want to capture every moment with you’’

‘’Chaeyoung…’’ Jennie whispered and raise her hand to gently touch her hubby’s cheek. Jennie gulped maybe this is the time where she would confess to Chaeyoung. The view is just astounding; A place where some time of their life…lived here. She knew in her heart that, no matter what other timelines there are out there, her heart will always belong to the person in front of her.

Jennie smiled sadly ‘’I’m sorry Jisoo…looks like your way of moving on is not for me…and I’m sorry Lisa…you can’t get rid of me no matter how much you love her’’

Jennie looked at Chaeyoung’s eyes and saw the emotions reflecting in her own eyes which made her smile lovingly ‘’I know you love me too hubby…please just realize it.’’

‘’I’m not giving up on you…’’ Jennie whispered lowly

‘’What do you mean by that?’’ Chaeyoung whispered, her eyes just swallowing up the beautiful being in front of her. Her heart constricting making it harder to breath for her ‘’What…am…I?’’ Chaeyoung thought in confusion and she bit her own lip because of the turmoil inside her. She’s feeling too much…too…much

Jennie saw she’s starting to panic so she leaned towards her and touched their foreheads together. ‘’Calm down…’’ Jennie said soothingly

And like a hypnotized person, Chaeyoung immediately calmed down, her heart unknowingly beating at the same time with Jennie’s. ‘’How…?’’ Chaeyoung whispered before giggling softly ‘’did you know I was panicking?’’

Jennie started giggling as well ‘’ To be honest, I just felt it’’ She smiled, happiness shining in her own eyes ‘’Looks like we have a stronger connection than we thought’’

They didn’t hear a click as they just continued staring at each other with their eyes and mouth smiling and shining in joy and peace.

Alice shook her head and looked at the picture she took with a proud smile

‘’You’re getting there Jennie…’’

‘’AHHHH!’’

Jennie screamed watching her parents fall as she clutched her laughing hubby’s arm tightly. ‘’Stop laughing!’’ Jennie glared at her but still Chaeyoung kept on laughing freely

‘’It’s just that’’ Chaeyoung snickered ‘’You weren’t even the one who jumped yet you’re the one who screamed the loudest’’ She said before laughing out loud again

‘’Stop laughing at me!’’ Jennie grumbled like a child and watch as her parents held each other while laughing in a carefree way, as well as hearing her father’s shout of enthusiasm.

‘’Looks like they’re enjoying themselves’’ Mrs. Park giggled hearing Jennie’s dad screaming in happiness

''The Kim family is ready to take on the world!''

Jennie hid her face in Chaeyoung’s shoulder to cover up her embarrassed blush to her father acting like a child. ‘’I don’t know whether I’ll die of jumping the tallest tower in the area, or die because of embarrassment that my dad caused’’

‘’You won’t don’t worry’’ Chaeyoung chuckled, her laughter finally dying down ‘’I got you wifey’’

‘’Please don’t let go of me when we jumped’’ Jennie said, her lips quivering and in a pout

Chaeyoung’s heart exploded at her cuteness and felt her eyes getting watery ‘’Oh wifey…I could die because of your cuteness’’ Chaeyoung then dramatically clutched her chest ‘’Help me I’m dying!’’

Jennie giggled ‘’Dork’’ She rolled her eyes playfully

They were the last one to jump and after the instructor pulled Chaeyoung’s family up, they were next. Jennie’s feet was tapping the floor beneath her nervously as the instructor made sure their equipment are strong and safe.

‘’Ready?’’ Chaeyoung grinned at her, nervousness and excitement bubbling up in her chest as she looked down below and the cold wind blowing softly in the air.

‘’L-Let’s get this over with hubby!’’ Jennie stuttered in confidence even though a flash of fear crossed her face when she looked down.

‘’I’m not going to die, I’m not going to die, I’m not going to die’’ Jennie chanted. She wants to take out her heart because it was beating so fast in fear, excitement, and nervousness.

‘’You’re not’’ Chaeyoung grabbed her hand as the instructors told them to get ready. Jennie took a deep breath and gripped Chaeyoung’s hard tightly, so tight that Chaeyoung has to wince a bit in pain.

‘’For a small girl, she sure is strong’’ Chaeyoung grinned playfully, the adrenaline now coursing through her veins.

‘’3…2…1’’ The instructor started as their muscles tensed and Jennie’s stomach dropping, she looked at Chaeyoung who nodded at her and smiled at her for encouragement. Jennie bit her lip and smiled back.

 ‘’Go!’’ Their family yelled in excitement.

They jumped together and gravity did its work, just as their smiles appeared, it converted into screams of fright as well as excitement and they could actually hear the wind attacking their ears like a gun.

‘’Oh my God!’’ Jennie shouted as they were still falling and went on to hug Chaeyoung, clutching to her body like no tomorrow.

‘’AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!’’

Chaeyoung grabbed Jennie’s waist in instinct as both girls screamed at the top of their lungs, so loud that they could very well break a mirror. The view of New Zealand being blurry for them until it finally steadied as they dangled at the side of Sky Tower.

Both of them were panting and the adrenaline still running through their blood, the cold wind calming them down and they could actually hear their blood coursing around their body from the thrilling ride.

Jennie suddenly chuckled…then it turned into giggles…then it turned into a full blown laughter.

‘’Oh my God!’’ Jennie laughed ‘’That was….exhilarating!’’

Chaeyoung joined in the laughter as well ‘’That was so fun!’’ She said in excitement ‘’And the view is amazing!’’

Jennie looked before her and indeed it was amazing, they could see the sun started setting down ‘’Wow…I didn’t know we were in Sky Tower so late right now’’ Jennie whispered

‘’A perfect ending should I say’’ Chaeyoung said warmly ‘’That I get to see this beautiful sunset with you beside me…’’

Jennie blushed ‘’Oh hubby…that’s so sweet’’

Chaeyoung leaned her head to Jennie’s hair, smelling her favorite scent in the world as she sighed calmly, her heartbeat calming down after the thrilling jump.

‘’…It’s even more perfect because I’m here with you hubby’’ Jennie smiled, cuddling to her ‘’You make me feel brave on taking this jump…I couldn’t have asked for a far more perfect partner’’ Jennie whispered ‘’Thank you my hubby’’

Chaeyoung hugged her back ‘’Thank you too wifey…for making me go to this trip. It’s been amazing so far…’’Chaeyoung said ‘’And I’m utterly happy to spend it with you’’

‘’Not even with Lisa?’’ Jennie smiled teasingly and Chaeyoung’s quiet answer made her go into a state of shock

‘’Yes…not even Lisa’’ Chaeyoung whispered so quiet like she hoped Jennie didn’t hear it and unfortunately for her, Jennie did hear it.

Jennie smiled and could feel tears of happiness pricking her eyes as the both of them just watched the sunset while holding each other…like true wifey and hubby.

Chaeyoung looked at Jennie who was admiring the view while clutching her tightly as she let out a small loving smile...if this was falling with Jennie felt like,

She would do it again with no hesitation

‘’Wasn’t that fun!’’ Alice exclaimed as they arrived home after eating at the 360 degree diner. They talked about how fun the day has been with Chaeyoung and Jennie being hubby and wifey in real life, feeding each other and sending each other some hidden smiles. Their families sharing knowing looks and just letting them be, the happiness radiating off of them is just…contagious.

‘’It sure is’’ Chaeyoung giggled as she piggy backed a sleeping Jennie. ‘’And this big baby is not patient enough to go home and sleep’’

‘’I’m sorry about that Chaeyoung’’ Mrs. Kim chuckled ‘’This day really took a lot out of her, being a cute scaredy-cat and all’’

‘’We should have bought her cats instead of dogs’’ Mr. Kim joked making the others laugh lightly

‘’I’ll carry her to my room and we’ll get some sleep.’’ Chaeyoung smiled at them

‘’Yeah’’ Mrs. Park nodded ‘’We still have tomorrow morning to pack up again and go to Waiheke Island by the afternoon.’’

‘’Got it mom’’ Chaeyoung yawned and went upstairs, carrying Jennie whose arms are still wrapped around her neck and snuggling to her. Unknown to her, their family watched her go upstairs with knowing smiles…even her mom and dad.

Chaeyoung laid Jennie down gently to her bed before standing up and walk towards her door to lock it. She kneeled down and observed Jennie’s serene face.

Chaeyoung couldn’t help but trace Jennie’s face with her fingertips with gentleness as well as carefulness, like she was observing a piece of art. There was these…uncontrollable feelings that surfaced up and going even stronger ever since this vacation started.

‘’How…’’ Chaeyoung muttered ‘’How are you…making me feel these things? Is this even right?’’ She cupped Jennie’s cheek and her heart fluttered how soft it was.

Alice was right, she does love these adorable cheeks.

‘’I…’’ Chaeyoung narrowed her eyes then she jumped in surprise when her phone began ringing.

Her heart dropped seeing it was Lisa calling to her, and just like that, reality was slapped back to her. She removed her hand from Jennie’s cheek like it was lava. Her eyes widening as different emotions are raging inside her.

Chaeyoung gulped at the continuous ringing of her phone and answered it with a shaky breath ‘’H-hello?’’

‘’Hi to you too my dear girlfriend’’ Lisa’s unhappy voice greeted her ears.

‘’Hey,’’ Chaeyoung tried to smile, hoping to convey it to her voice ‘’How’s your trip to Thailand?’’

‘’It was fine’’

‘’Oh that’s…’’ Chaeyoung swallowed the awkwardness in her voice ‘’great’’

‘’Uh huh’’ Lisa said ‘’Mind explaining to me why I haven’t received a single text or call since you went to the aquarium?’’

‘’Oh uh…sorry babe’’ Chaeyoung whispered and looked at Jennie with a soft stare ‘’I was…preoccupied with my family’’

Lisa sighed ‘’I know I said to enjoy your time with them but…’’ She whispered the next one ‘’I’m waiting for you, you know? Every minute I’m looking at my phone if I’ll get a notification, even a single dot from you is enough for me…and I didn’t even get to receive that…’’ Lisa said sadly  ‘’so I had to take actions…’’

‘’Lisa…I’m so sorry’’ Chaeyoung apologized ‘’I didn’t mean to make you feel like that…’’

‘’I know’’ Lisa chuckled sadly ‘’It’s frustrating to know that you really do not mean it…because you’re a sweet girl, and I take it that you’re really enjoying your time there at New Zealand…’’ Lisa said in a fake chirpy tone

‘’I…’’ Chaeyoung hesitated ‘’I’m really sorry babe…’’

‘’It’s okay chipmunk…’’ Lisa grinned ‘’I’m just glad to hear your soft voice again…I can finally sleep peacefully knowing that I heard you today’’

Chaeyoung let out a small smile ‘’Thank you for understanding…I know I haven’t been updating you but if you’re not busy, I have all night to tell you what happened since yesterday at the aquarium’’

Lisa finally smiled, a true one ‘’As much as I love you ramble about your vacation, we’re about to go out and explore my homeland a bit, with my father nonetheless!’’ She said excitedly

Chaeyoung smiled ‘’I’m glad you’re enjoying your trip there’’

‘’Someday I’ll take you here with me, explore my homeland and try out different foods and cultures! I’m sure you’ll love it!’’

‘’I will probably’’ Chaeyoung giggled ‘’Anyways, I won’t keep you much longer then. Have fun Lisa! I love you!’’

‘’Thanks chipmunk, I love you too’’ Lisa said sweetly before hanging up.

Chaeyoung stayed in her position for a few seconds and put away her phone from her ear, with a bit of tears straying from her eyes…because of guilt, confusion, and anger to herself.

‘’How can I forget communicating with my girlfriend?’’ Chaeyoung clenched her fist then looked at Jennie with a pained look ‘’and it’s not even your fault…It was all mine for too much enjoying my time with you…’’

She Jennie’s hair and  despite tears coming out from her eyes, a small smile stretched from her lips watching Jennie purring like a cat being

‘’Oh wifey…’’ Chaeyoung sighed

She knows she can’t sleep from all the emotions she’s experiencing right now, so she turned to the source that makes her feel calm and peaceful after playing it.

Chaeyoung stood up and grabbed her guitar from the other side. She beamed seeing her wooden guitar still cleaned, and her strings look liked it was brand new

‘’Thank you Alice…’’ She whispered

She strummed it and grimaced at the horrible sound that it created so she decided to tune it. After a few tweaking, she strummed again, and this time a pleasing smile crossed her face

Chaeyoung didn’t realize that as she was singing, her eyes were releasing water drops, the lyrics of the song hitting her straight in the heart…and as she was singing, she didn’t realize she woke up a certain sleeping cat-eyed girl who was watching her with dropped in amazement and a few tears visible in her eyes.

‘’That…was amazing hubby’’

Chaeyoung snapped her head towards Jennie who was sniffing a bit and holding her heart ‘’Wifey’’ Chaeyoung giggled ‘’I’m sorry…did I woke you up?’’

Jennie walked closer to her and sat down with her on the floor ‘’Yeah…don’t feel bad’’ She smiled softly ‘’It was a beautiful song so I don’t mind waking up and watching you sing with all of your heart’’

Chaeyoung blushed and stayed quiet, a bit embarrassed for waking her up. Jennie still see tears flowing from her eyes and reached up to wipe them away ‘’See? Your song was so emotional that you started crying’’

Chaeyoung was surprised and touched her face, and indeed she was crying. She looked at Jennie and a giggle escaped from her lips ‘’Hey…You’re crying too’’
