Rolled omelette, ham, kimchi, rice, cucumber salad, soybeans, bulgogi, kimbap and a fried egg on top. That is the lunchbox Hannah is eating backstage at the award show. In another lunchbox next to her are sliced fruit for dessert. “Is it good?” Kai scoffs next to the table. Hannah glances up to see him smirking at Hannah and Taemin, who are both eating as if they haven’t seen food for days. She covers to try chew her food before being able to answer, but Kai doesn’t wait around as he is told to go sit down to have his hair done. Hannah looks at Taemin, whose mouth is stuffed with food and he keeps stuffing it almost as if he fears someone will take the food from him. Taemin always eats like that though. The Musketeers are sharing a room backstage for the Golden Disk Awards 2018, and after finished rehearsals they are now getting ready for the actual show, which means between getting hair and makeup done, they are resting and eating. Hannah had a lot to go through for her solo performance. She had a long walk-through with the staff as they have prepared a lot of background effects to make it a good performance, so she had to do a few changes in what she has prepared to suit the stage. It seems to have gone well and Hannah will keep going back to the rehearsal clip to make sure she knows what to expect for the actual performance. While Hannah and Taemin are still eating by the table, a talkative Ana shows up, talking about her up-coming album and the preparations for it. All natural she sits down next to Taemin and takes a bite of his food without stopping talking to a few in the room about her album. Hannah is listening too, then she gets distracted by Ana mentioning Taemin who has supported her a lot in the studio, because even when he is being mentioned he is too indulged in his food to even notice he is being talked about. “Hannah is releasing an album soon too,” Ana’s stylist mentions. Hannah slightly coughs for being mentioned while she has quietly been paying attention to the conversation and finding out more about Ana’s comeback. “Unnie, when is your comeback?” Ana cutely asks, leaning against the table. “It’s not in February, right?” “Uh… We are talking about March,” Hannah answers. “Mine’s in February,” Ana happily says. “She’s nervous about being rivals on the charts,” the stylist teases Ana. Hannah smiles at it. “But if 5 Pieces Unnies makes a comeback a few weeks after me, I think I’m good,” Ana confidently says. “Though I want to promote at the same time…” Manager Lee has sneaked up on Hannah’s side of the table to see how much she is eating, a bad habit of his. “The ladies are releasing a single in February though,” he simply mentions, looking pleased when seeing Ana’s happy face. “There is a possibility you’ll promote at the same time.” Ana’s fingers curls into a fist as she lowly cheers at that and Taemin finally looks up from his food, as if for the first time seeing Ana is sitting next to him. He looks oblivious to what they are talking about and just quietly offers a side-dish to Ana. The time backstage is occupied by a lot of things. They go through outfits, greet other artists that are attending, another quick rehearsal, warming up vocals and bodies, and in the midst of it all Taemin is doing a video call with Jonghyun. The whole group of Musketeers are suddenly in the sofa to talk to him. Taemin jokes that he is spending time with Jonghyun’s wife, asking if he is jealous but he wants to change the subject when Jonghyun says Hannah is all his after the show. Taemin with a dirty thought does not want to know what will happen tonight, though Hannah and Jonghyun just laughs at it. Several staff members wants to greet Jonghyun too. The red carpet is about to start and the Musketeers are checking their outfits. Hannah is wearing a pair of over-the-knee heels in black and a short fitting dress with off-shoulder and long sleeves. It is to fit the black dress-code they are going for and still go for Hannah’s style while having an elegant vibe. The problem is, Hannah isn’t pleased. The first issue that she complains about is the off-shoulder deal; she doesn’t like revealing her shoulders but because Ana has a one-shoulder ruffle trimmed jumpsuit for the red carpet, their outfits matches well. But thanks for the fact that both Kai and Taemin are wearing suits, Hannah manages to convince her stylist to wear a jacket – a black fashion casual plush suit Jacket with small lapel and a Gucci belt to create a point in her outfit. She loves it for the fact that her shoulders are covered in it. Kai and Ana both thinks she looks better without the jacket, saying it’s ier, while Taemin only comments on the belt she wears. The Musketeers are giving small comments about each other’s outfits when heading to the red carpet. Instead of having to arrive in cars and walks on a red carpet that way, it is a hall at the venue prepared for photos – which is called red carpet. Being filmed and having their pictures taken while looking a tad to the left to a tad to the right. The four of them stand together as a group, being here as the Musketeers. Even when being briefly interviewed, the MC says she needs a few seconds to take them all in, because they are four members with individual success. It’s like a power group, she mentions with a laugh.   During the award show, Hannah’s mind is somewhere else. If she isn’t thinking of the performances she will do, she is checking her phone as secretively as possible to make sure Jonghyun is okay. Yes, she is still worried even when knowing he is with his mother and sister. He had a meeting at the agency today but now he is at his mother’s home, where he has been staying since he came back to Korea. Taemin and Ana helped her to sneak her phone with her when Manager Lee wasn’t looking, and now when sitting together next to the stage among the other artists, Ana is very dramatic when helping Hannah check her phone without getting caught by cameras. Ana is hilarious because she suddenly leans over Hannah and even stretches her arm out when commenting that fans are watching. It makes Hannah laugh and she doesn’t touch her phone as much because Ana only brings more attention when leaning over like that. During a short break, Manager Lee snatches the phone from her and Hannah is left thinking of the performance while trying to focus on the show. After Hannah has received the Digital Bonsang award, she goes backstage to prepare for her solo performance. She walks through the performance in her mind while getting ready and she talks about it with her dancers to check positions and details. Hannah gets changed into a wine red A-line long dress with spaghetti straps and a side split that they have cut higher for effect when moving around on the stage. She has a stern expression when checking her mirror-reflection, putting on golden bracelets and checking which earrings to end up taking. Though there is always a chosen style, the last minute is always there for changes. Her stylist is repeatedly saying she looks pretty. “It looks like you’re going to sing a ballad,” Myung comments when they are heading to the stage. Hannah is nervous, not even responding to him. It’s her first performance in Korea in a while, and after what happened to Jonghyun she has had a lot of attention on her today at the venue. People asking how he is doing, friends have been asking but also people she has met a few times. Everyone is curious, wishing her well and such. And now she is going on the stage to perform. Microphone in hand, sweaty palms and a bunch of staff members saying they look forward to her performance. Waiting for her turn, Hannah picks her phone from Manager Lee’s pocket to give Jonghyun a quick call. She turns around to face the wall, trying to keep her voice low when talking to Jonghyun for a bit. He calms her and says he is watching it on TV. His mom butts in from next to him to say Hannah looked pretty when receiving the award. After a quick cheer, everyone takes their positions. Dancers and the band are on the stage and Hannah is on the side, not going up yet. She is spacing out, almost looking mad with her focused expression. Maybe she did a bad choice in the rearrangement of the song, she is thinking. The music begins after her performance has been introduced. A deep intro for [Just Like Fire] and Hannah is pretty much glaring at the screen. She is wearing the long dress, as suited for the concept of the song she has been performing for the past year. But the music playing is more of a rock version of [Just Like Fire], which is why it felt important to have a live band to play. It sounds good, Hannah thinks. “They are singing along,” Manager Lee comments next to her. She gives him a quick glance. There is chanting from a part of a song that the audience seem to be singing along too. *We came here to run it, run it* is chanted over and over, the dancers bouncing and chanting to liven up the mood. On the screen, the camera moves from the bouncing audience to film some of the artists. BTS’ Jimin and V seem to be chanting along and moving their fists up and down to the rhythm. It is Hannah’s turn to head on stage. A staff member guiding her. “Fighting,” Manager Lee cheers her on. She mouths it back to him, her fist held up and a brief smile before heading out to join her crew. She is bouncing her way out; the camera is filming from distance so it isn’t even clear that she is coming out to the dancers bouncing on the stage. The seconds are counted down before Hannah bursts out with the chorus. The stage lights that have been shifting during the intro blasts on and the background screen is showing some cool fire details while the band is playing the chorus. They are bouncing around on the stage, Hannah and her dancers. For the rearranged version of the song, they skip the entire first part and skips right to after the first chorus. Similar to how they usually do, Hannah stands with her dancers lined up on her sides when singing about how everyone is exactly the same. She shakes her head directly to the camera moving in front of them and she continues to sing when walking away from her dancers. They move behind her, ruffling their hair or taking their jackets off to reveal they are all dressed differently underneath. To be yourself and not follow what others are telling you. Being on the stage, she forgets everything. She forgets the past few weeks, she forgets that she hasn’t performed this version of the song before, she forgets everything and just do what she has practiced and what feels good in the moment. Following the camera, moving around. It looks like she is walking around freely, but she has practiced it all. It is good teamwork. Hannah, her dancers and the camera-crew, they had rehearsed it well so when Hannah is guiding her dancers out to the next stage, the camera is capturing them well. Of Hannah from the front with the dancers behind her, showing some dance moves to the music and interacting with the audience around them. In time for the chorus to begin, dancers run past Hannah as she slows down to show off some vocals. Everyone is bouncing. The audience is loudly singing along. Even Hannah can hear it despite wearing the in-ears. She can’t help but to smile. At the end of the performance, Hannah is bouncing over to the main stage while everyone is chanting the lyrics with her crew and she jogs the last bit to turn around just in time for when the band stops playing and everyone on stage are singing the chorus loudly with Hannah. A loud ending that even without the instruments feel powerful. It’s just one song, but she feels exhausted as soon as it ends. With a big smile at the hall her stage has ended and she hurries off as soon as the lights turns off. Music begins to play for the next segment. “Good job!” her dancers applauses when they have come backstage. Hannah is walking with them, getting her microphone taken and starting to take off the in-ear by herself while listening to the talking around her. Good job, everyone says. Heading back to the room backstage, Manager Lee is saying how well they did. He has already given Hannah her phone and he is mostly talking to the dancers, who are excitedly saying they felt the energy during the performance. The audience was not just singing along but they were bouncing the entire time, almost as if they were at a concert. “Even the staff backstage was bouncing along to it,” Manager Lee adds to the adrenaline that they feel after being on the stage. Inyoul is laughing by himself from being excited. “You should perform this version more. It really livens up the audience.” Hannah nods without answering, having Manager Lee’s hand on her arm to guide her while she is staring down at her phone. Only when getting inside the room and she puts down the phone does Hannah talk with them about the performance. She is getting changed right away, having her crew help her out while they are talking about what they thought of the performance. Hannah thinks it went well. Her voice sounded good and she is told she looked confident. When almost being done, her three friends of the Musketeers come to get changed for their performance. “Unnie, woah!” Ana says the second she sees Hannah, clapping her hands with an amazed face. “That was amazing! It felt like I was at your concert. Everyone here is a Puzzle!” Hannah laughs at the praise and at Ana’s dramatic move of her entire arm to mean everyone at the venue. She almost hits Kai on the head though. “Let’s turn it into the Musketeers’ concert instead,” Hannah jokes. Kai gives a bad laugh at that, pointing a finger at her and Hannah grimaces at him. “Musketeers’ concert,” he imitates her and laughs when almost getting a shoe thrown at him. Ana joins in though, starting to imitate a host that welcomes everyone to the Musketeers’ concert of 2018. The room is in laughter because of her. The project group gets changed for their stage together. As they are almost done, Hannah and Kai are in the middle of the room practicing. Ana is warming up her voice while getting a touch on her hair and Taemin is mumbling by the side while getting changed. They get their microphones put on and there is a lot of mumbling going on while heading to the stage to wait. It is still around ten minutes left until it is their turn to perform. They double check details for their performance and Taemin is hitting his hands out to see if his clothes will hold or not, they are basically waiting to get on the stage. Taemin gets up
