Hannah is standing on the movie set for The Visitor. Though she was told she doesn’t have any filming today, it is Kyungho’s first week. After filming for a few months now, Hannah is comfortable around the crew and when chatting to her younger brother about him starting to film this week, they both kind of told each other to be there. Hannah wants to see how he does as well as being there as a familiar pillar among all these faces. Not that Kyungho seems to need it. He is social and lovable to everyone, but he does look around in search for Hannah from time to time as well. She is smiling like a proud sister. One of the staff members are standing next to her, both watching the set where child actor Kim Kyungho is being directed to run down stairs over and over and over again for different takes in a chasing sequence. “Did you teach him that?” the staff member asks with a laugh, asking it as a joke so Hannah laughs back. Did she teach Kyungho to run with a scared face? “He’s good, right?” Hannah responds with another question and the two of them smile at each other. The assistant director’s voice is heard, calling out that they will start filming – meaning everyone has to be quiet. Hannah’s eyes are focused at the top of the stairs prepared, she gets serious when they start filming and while she feels extremely proud, it also hurts when she sees Kyungho come dashing down the stairs. Being chased though the followers aren’t seen now, the focus is solely on Kyungho’s face-expression. Blood and tears on his face from witnessing his parents and older sister get killed, but it is that face-expression that shows that even as a thirteen-year-old, he is an actor. At the last few steps he even stumbles, almost falls but doesn’t slow his running and he turns at the end to continue around the corner to end this scene, and the director calls out CUT. Some of the staff are applauding and Hannah takes two steps forward to get behind the director and the screen where they will look through what they just shot. Kyungho steps over too, smiling nervously because he stumbled and rather than watching what they filmed he was prepared to hear the director say they will do it again. Director Yang is smiling at him, patting Kyungho on the arm to say he did well. Mistakes are okay to do. They look through what they just filmed and Hannah is smiling when Kyungho glances over at her. He did well. Though his expression changed when he stumbled, the rest is good. The director gives him some pointers before they do it again. While Hannah knows she shouldn’t be at the movie set for too long as she has other things to do today, she can’t help it. A food truck was sent over for lunch to everyone, and Carolina texted Hannah like ‘did you get it, was it good, do you feel my support for you, maknae?’. They had written on the chat at the start of the week and with 5 Pieces spending a day in Japan to record and Hannah was filming for the movie in Korea that day, Carolina said she felt bad and compensate by sending the food truck. She asked Hannah about where they will be and such and Hannah almost ruined it all when saying she isn’t filming today but that she will be on set anyway, so everyone’s pleased. For lunch, everyone is enjoying the food that Carolina sent over with the food truck. Hannah takes a picture by it to send to Carolina, letting her know everyone is thanking her for today’s food (they thanked Hannah for the food but she sends their thanks to Carolina). Staying for another hour, then she has to leave. Manager Lee has commented countless of times don’t forget the time, showing up behind her during a break look at the time and eventually, Hannah goes around wishing them luck for the rest of the day and especially giving Kyungho a hug and telling him to text her when he is done for today. Then she leaves, because in a few days it is time for SMTOWN’s concert in Seoul and Hannah is going to perform. Emelia is in the practice-room. There are dancers there too as well, busy practicing when Hannah arrives. Hannah pretends to be invisible when she steps inside, watching their practice and seeing they are not distracted by her so she sneaks to the back to leave her things and get warmed up. When they are done practicing the song, they take a break. Emelia sits down near Hannah and they are talking about what they will perform at the SMTOWN concert on Saturday. Emelia is performing [Soldier] together with EXO’s Chanyeol, [Microphone Slap] as well as [BA RAM BA BAM] together with NCT’s Taeyong. She says they have gone back and forth on what songs to perform because Emelia wanted to perform [Super Woman] but the agency told her not to perform it. The agency didn’t want it in her album at first, because of the lyrics and saying it wasn’t good enough but gave her a chance, and it got to become an extra single thanks to fans really liking it in the album. So she won’t get to perform it, but performs three other songs instead. Julia is performing two songs, and then Hannah is performing [Just Like Fire] and also a few songs with the Musketeers, though she doesn’t know which songs yet. When fans found out that only three members of 5 Pieces will attend the SMTOWN concerts this summer, for sure there has been a lot of different comments. Questions about disbandment among some once again, others showing disappointment as they want to hear solo songs from Maria and Carolina as well (since they both released songs for SM Station last year) and there are questions why those two are nowhere to be heard of lately. It’s true and understandable. For the months 5 Pieces has been on a break, Emelia has released her album, done her tour and promoted in Japan, Hannah has done acting and promoted with the Musketeers, and then Julia is now promoting solo. These three have also been the most active on SNS while both Maria and Carolina have kept a low profile. While Maria has been the most invisible, her few appearances have been rare and odd, like when she came to the airport completely covered up and fans complained that she dismissed them. Then Carolina makes appearances on concerts and the pictures she has uploaded on SNS has been on random things like a tree or different updates with different filters on a building. Artistic, but fans want selfies and see what she is doing during her days. Going from those things followed with only three members attending SMTOWN’s concert though all five members have solo songs they can perform (as well as hit songs as a group), fans are again getting worried with disbanding rumours or the members not getting along. It’s not as crazy as it was a while ago so no one has been paying attention to it. Hannah finds out about it when talking to Emelia. “But it’s all good,” female dancer Eundae says with a smile and a positive voice. “Since there is a big comeback being planned, your fans won’t have to worry for long.” Even Emelia smiles at her words. “Well said,” Emelia nods, agreeing with her. “So, whatever is being said online now, we’ll ignore it,” Hannah concludes. “Since we’re coming back soon enough,” Emelia adds, her smile turns into a smirk as she rolls a bottle of water on the floor over to another dancer. “If we get along and work quickly, we’ll make a comeback before the year ends.” While some of them are resting, Hannah gets ready to begin her practice. when getting into position to begin, she suddenly starts smiling widely as she can hear Emelia and some dancers talking about Julia’s birthday that is on the day of the concert. They want to mess around with her, to play pranks like they did at their world tour last year. Listening to them is Manager Lee, and he reminds them that the agency won’t allow it. There is a lot of restrictions, Emelia says, but decides to pull a prank backstage instead. After practicing just one song, [Just Like Fire], Hannah goes to another room to ask Kai if he knows what songs they are going to perform with the Musketeers. She doesn’t know how many songs they will perform or which ones, if someone has chosen it already or if they have to decide on it together. Heading inside EXO’s practice-room, she stays by the door clapping along to the music. The weird part is that D.O, Xiumin and Suho are the only three dancing. The room feels empty because of that. Some members aren’t there but she catches Kai and Sehun in the sofa; Kai sleeping while hugging someone’s bag and Sehun commenting on Suho’s dancing, chuckling at it. Sneaking over to the sofa, she waves her hand to Sehun, who loudly greets her back. “Nuna! Aren’t you filming? I saw a picture of you by a food truck,” he comments, talking loudly to be heard over the music. Hannah shakes her head. “I’m not today,” she answers and nods at Kai. “Did you kill him?” Sehun chuckles happily at her question and he roughly slaps Kai on the forehead with the back of his hand. He looks happy when Kai’s head falls down before glancing up with an half-awake expression, as if he was not just hit on the forehead. Sehun asks if he has come back alive now and smiles at Hannah like dogs do when they have fetched a stick. Hannah just laughs and sits down at the end of the sofa, asking Kai about what she came for. Kai spaces out while mumbling that he doesn’t know anything, and Sehun starts saying they have been practicing for EXO all week. There is both this SMTOWN concert as well as their comeback in two weeks. The other members joins in the chatting when the music stops and Hannah is there way too long, talking about EXO’s comeback and schedule rather than finding out what songs the Musketeers are performing. In the end, Manager Lee comes to see why she isn’t coming back to practice, finding Hannah sitting with the members of EXO. He takes her back to their own practice-room and it takes just a few minutes before kai is standing by the door. “I forgot that I got the setlist earlier,” he says and steps up to Hannah to show his tablet. A staff member at the agency has sent the concert setlist to him and Kai is lowly laughing at himself for forgetting it. “Thanks,” Hannah laughs. “We’ve got three songs then?” “Eh? Just two,” Kai’s smile disappears when turning the tablet around to check it himself. “Yeah, here; [I Did It For Love] and [Hypnotic Dancefloor].” Hannah steps around next to him and points further down on the setlist. “And [Energetic]. You thought we’d perform [I Did It For Love] but not the title song?” She smiles at his miss and thanks him again for letting her know. Now, Hannah can practice those three songs. Not that there is much to practice. She just goes through the songs and half an hour later she is done. She sleeps two hours each night and when waking up on Saturday morning, her head is not with her. Though she is in the car with Jonghyun, going to the stadium together, she can’t keep her eyes open. Sitting down makes her head throb awfully and though she likes the feeling of Jonghyun’s thumb caressing her arm, she can’t get comfortable. She is quick out of the car when they arrive and she stands there waiting for the others so they can head inside. Jonghyun takes his time though, talking to his manager and reaching out his hand after Hannah’s, having his puppy-face leaning closer towards hers when he gets out of the car. “How do you feel?” he wonders, squeezing her hand. She pouts in response and Jonghyun gives an understandable nod. He looks cute, making her smile just by looking at her. “Text me whenever and I’ll come running over to give you some energy,” Jonghyun assures her as they head to the stairs. “Silly,” Hannah simply tells him. She lets him hold her hand until they reach the dressing-room’s. SHINee has their room in the same corridor as 5 Pieces, but far away from each other. 5 Pieces’ room is first. Emelia has already arrived, managers and stylists are there, resting and setting up for the concert. Hannah enters with a bow, greeting everyone in there with a ‘good morning’ and she receives a morning greeting back. Emelia is sitting down, smiling up at Hannah and waving her hand with her phone. “Sup,” Emelia says and points a finger over at the corner of the makeup table. Hannah follows where she is pointing and sees a camera set up. That’s right, Emelia said they will be filming backstage for the YouTube channel. “You’re filming all day?” Hannah wonders. “Yeah. I’ll be the one going through the footage later anyway,” Emelia answers with a smirk. Two cameras are set up in the room, still leaving blank spots in the room but Emelia seems very pleased with it. Hannah stays standing while settling down in the room and soon she goes with Emelia to take a walk around to greet their colleagues and friends as well as taking a glance on the stage. Rehearsals are already on-going for the concert, TRAX are rehearsing a song while Hannah and Emelia are watching. Hannah’s head is still hurting, but it is better as she is standing up. “Omo, look how cute!” SNSD’s Tiffany comes over to them, stumbling over a cord over the floor as she is too focused to take a hold of the hem of Emelia’s dress, completely amazed at it. Emelia is indeed cute today, wearing a mini-dress with light blue, green and black flowers. The lady smiles proudly at the compliment of Tiffany’s reaction. “I love this piece,” Tiffany says in English and asks where it’s from. “Ask Maria, it’s hers,” Emelia answers happily. “How are you, Unnie? Did the recording go well yesterday?” “It went well, it went well, don’t worry,” Tiffany answers with a laugh, waving her hand. “We are all being a bit emotional, it being our tenth year and all.” Hannah has no idea of what they are talking about but she tries to listen anyway. It sounds like Tiffany and other members of SNSD have been recording songs this week, and Emelia was there too, recording a new song (that Hannah is recording tomorrow). It feels like she is eavesdropping, just because she isn’t saying much. Her head is pounding, the music is loud and they are still standing by the stage. Though she suggests they go back to the dressing-rooms, the two friends are busy talking that they forget the suggestion after a few seconds. They go back only when Sooyoung comes over, asking what Tiffany is doing when they are having a meeting in the dressing-room. Hannah and Emelia goes with them, just to greet the rest of the SNSD members they didn’t get to greet earlier (because they hadn’t arrived). Then they head back to their own room where Julia has arrived, laughing at the cameras Emelia has set up and also pointing out that Emelia is cute today. Their charismatic rapper is dressed cutely in a dress and in white sneakers, fulfilling her charismatic part with a cap sitting backwards on her head. Julia is in a loose t-shirt that seems to be two or three sizes too big, a pair of big jeans and boots, looking tomboyish. Meanwhile, Hannah is in a grey set of sweatpants and long-sleeve top. With a headache when waking up she just took the cosiest outfit she could find and went with Jonghyun. Outside it is pouring rain and the air is hot but inside it is functioning air-condition, making the air inside cool. Wearing long-sleeves is alright. The three of them have a lot to talk about. All from clothes to recording, Julia’s promotions and how busy she is as well as Hannah enjoying filming the movie though she hasn’t gotten much sleep these few days. No, they don’t talk for long. They talk quickly because their own rehearsals are coming up and when Emelia heads for her rehearsal, the other two follows as they are still talking. Julia gets to be in charge of filming Emelia’s rehearsal, acting funny between some serious takes and Hannah is quietly standing next to her with a smile on her face. Taemin shows up to stand with them, chatting away with Hannah and a dancer while waiting for their turn to rehearse. Julia has to tell them to quiet down because she is filming and Taemin, like a clown, steps forward with a funny face to the camera before stepping back with a laugh. Ana and Kai are late but they arrive before it is the Musketeers’ turn to rehearse. Taemin is in a great mood, making fun of the others and fooling around, while Kai is half-asleep and Hannah has a headache, and Ana is just laughing along. There are usually a few times a year that SMTOWN get together. Just this summer, some went to Jeju Island for the workshop, but most of them haven’t really met unless it has been brief backstage during different schedules. That leaves today pretty chaotic. Hannah, with her head and tiredness, wants to be social but can’t be still. She goes to chat with EXO after rehearsal but is walking around a few minutes later, not standing still for long and she keeps changing people she talks to that Hannah ends up not knowing who she has talked to for the past three hours. But it is fun. Loud and fun with friends and craziness. There is not a silent moment. In 5 Pieces’ dressing-room, it is loud too. With cameras filming you could think they are at least a bit aware and cautious, instead they are busy playing music and talking. Hannah can’t sit down. She sits down briefly when getting her makeup done, but has to stand up after a few minutes as she thinks her headache is going to make her stomach turn. That goes on for a while until her stylist agrees on letting Hannah stand up while they put on the rest of the makeup, just to get it done. With a headache and eyes unable to stay open when she is still, Hannah is like a zombie. When Julia’s stylist asks what Hannah is doing (standing up with eyes closed), Emelia laughs and answers that Hannah is a zombie today. Emelia is getting her hair done, sitting with her phone begin in charge of the music playing on the speakers in the room. Not too loud to disturb the other rooms but enough for this room to enjoy. She plays a lot of mixed songs, going from NCT 127 to old hit songs, she plays English songs where both old and new appear, her own favourites as well as songs she has only heard on the radio before or requests from others in the room. “Julia, your turn. Any requests?” Emelia asks, sitting comfortably in her chair as the music quiets down in the room. “Ehhh…” Julia slowly says while thinking of what song she wants to listen to. She looks happy when stepping up to Emelia’s chair to borrow her phone. “I know a song. It’s been my jam these days.” After searching out the song, she presses play and gives the phone back to Emelia, the short-haired lady looking ready to enjoy the song. As the first tone is heard, Hannah burst out into a smile, looking over at Julia while commenting she likes this song too while Emelia admits she hasn’t heard it before. Little Mix is a British girl-group with the same girl power concept that 5 Pieces has, at least according to some fans and media slightly comparing them online. The song is [Power] by Little Mix. Both Hannah and Julia starts singing along to it. Hannah doesn’t sing loudly while Julia does, and some of their crew members chuckles at the singing birds in the room. She has missed this. It’s not just being backstage with them, it’s just enjoying time the way they are now. Even with a headache, when it comes to enjoying other people’s music like this, singing along, moving around in strange dancing, Hannah enjoys it the most with the ladies.
