Spending one and a half days filming a new music video, the ladies are showing their tiredness differently. When they film solo parts, others are either walking around or taking the chance for naps. Hannah hasn’t slept much, taking each break as a time to check online. The number of followers on her Instagram has grown a lot, articles and videos focusing on her at the AMAs are a hot topic and she is still processing the whole thing. But she is also tired. All the nervousness from attending the award show without her ladies has taken its toll and after not sleeping enough, Hannah has lied down on a bed in the massive house they are filming in. Julia is taking a nap next to her and Hannah has closed her eyes with her phone still in her hand. She falls asleep while thinking she is just resting her eyes and wakes up when Carolina is loudly singing in another part of the house. Their new single will be released in less than two weeks, before November is over. It is a song that will be in their next album, so the ladies are excited. To officially start preparing for their fifth album release. [Pillow Fight] was written by Carolina and Emelia, about a breakup where a group of girls gathers for a pyjama night of support. The ladies have been filming in the house, jumping around in the bed, headbanging and dancing around in the living-room, singing when heading up the stairs, getting pizza and popcorn ready in the kitchen and whatnot while wearing different pyjama sets. They have switched from the Korean to the English version of the song but are happy that scenes of them just playing around without lip-synching doesn’t need them repeat in another language. Hannah moves up her knees to her stomach when waking up. She is wearing a pair of plaid flannel pyjama pants with a cropped light grey top and a cardigan. They wanted her to show off her abs in the music video, but in another outfit when wearing silk pyjamas, she got long pants and a buttoned shirt covering her up. At least in this outfit, she can cover with the cardigan when resting. Julia is still taking a nap next to her, sleeping with pins in her hair and a pillow under her head. Hannah stretches out her legs and arms to wake her body up, and yawns when looking down towards the door, just to see Emelia stand there with a camera in her hand, smirking. “Did you get some rest?” Emelia asks in English. “Don’t film this,” Hannah groans and rolls around to hide herself, embarrassed and laughing. “You look funny, it would be bad to not film it,” Emelia chuckles and steps closer. “Tell me how you’re feeling about this video.” Hannah thinks of whether to ignore her, since it is Emelia filming and not some behind-the-scenes camera-man. But once she has finished yawning for a second time, Hannah sits up and moves her hair to try hide her sleepy face a bit. “The filming is fun, the waiting makes me sleepy.” Her friend waits a few seconds, then steps up even closer when asking if she doesn’t have anything more to say. Hannah laughs behind her hand when leaning away. “You’re too close.” “Not close enough,” Emelia teases, getting even closer with the camera, “Just a few days ago you were performing at the AMA’s, how does it feel to shock the world?” With Emelia saying what the articles has been saying, Hannah just laughs more and tries to push the camera away. She keeps her laughter low to not wake Julia up, but Emelia doesn’t seem to care as she keeps asking what Hannah thinks of her performance and how it feels to represent 5 Pieces and shock the world with her performance. Even when Hannah falls on the bed from laughing and keeping the camera away, Emelia doesn’t stop. She gets up on the bed, on top of Hannah to not have her run away and playfully pokes her while repeatedly asking the same questions about how she feels with the camera held in her hand. Hannah squeals, trying to not laugh loudly or give out a loud sound from being poked. Both freezes when Julia moves next to them and Emelia turns the camera to spot the sleeping lady. “Hannah woke her up,” Emelia comments and looks pleased when Hannah gives her a gasp and hits her lightly on the arm. “I did not!” Hannah hisses. “You’re the one- Hi, Julia.” Hannah smiles widely for her eyes to almost disappear when Julia turns around to look at them. Julia puts an arm over her face, careful to not ruin her makeup, and she asks what they are doing. “Ladies?” Manager Brooks is heard outside the room. She gets visible by the door. “There you are. I need Hannah to get ready for her turn.” Hannah giggles when Emelia gets off her. She gets to run away from the camera and the teasing. Hannah gives Emelia a smile before heading after their manager to go get her makeup and hair touched before her solo scene will be filmed. A few hours later, they wrap up the filming and the biggest topic is what to eat. Maria wants pizza, Carolina wants Chinese food, while the other three wants hamburgers. That’s the beauty of finishing filming, knowing you don’t need to think of what you put in your body for the rest of the week; they can eat whatever they want. They head back to the hotel to wash up and get dressed before heading out to eat at a restaurant, where they can choose a lot of different things depending on what they want to eat; hamburger, pizza, chicken, anything. They sit there for three hours, eating and chatting away and going through the schedule for tomorrow. Their last day in Los Angeles. After Hannah’s performance at the AMAs, a lot of people had called, wanting interviews, appearances and whatnot. Since the ladies have been filming a music video for two days and they are going back to Korea tomorrow evening, it was very last-minute on what to do and if they should accept any invitation at all. In the end they have decided to let Hannah make a radio appearance, to talk a bit and sing [Just Like Fire], live on radio. She had tried to say it would be better if 5 Pieces all went together, but her manager said Hannah will go alone. Maria was conflicted about it for about a second, first saying she can come along as support but when hearing the radio appearance would be at six in the morning, Maria patted Hannah on the shoulder and said she will be sleeping at the hotel while Hannah spreads their name. After dinner, the ladies go back to the hotel, being in one room having a lot to talk about until they get messages from their managers to wrap it up. Emelia sends a picture of the ladies and that’s it, joining in the conversation again. they talk deeply about their work, about 5 Pieces, their up-coming song and how they feel with everything they have planned for the up-coming year. Only when it knocks on the hotel door does they wrap up. They arrived early, have greeted people and whatnot to be ready when the radio will begin. Hannah has gotten dressed lightly in a beige oversized tee and light jeans shorts, makeup done in natural colours and her hair was slightly styled until she shoved up her sunglasses to the top of her head. Now she has been told to not touch them, because it looks good for now. Her stylist said that if Hannah takes off the sunglasses, her hair will be ruined. This radio in particular was chosen among a few because 5 Pieces have been interviewed here two years ago, during their WORLD INVASION promotions. The MC is eager to shake Hannah’s hand and say he has waited to have 5 Pieces as a guest on his radio again, though only one member is there today. They chat just briefly before commercials are done and Hannah is sitting there, hands held together under the table, a wide nervous smile on her face and MC Shaw starts to introduce her in an excited voice. “Everyone saw her performance at the AMAs this past Sunday and we just had to snatch her before she goes back home. Everyone, this is Hannah! Please introduce yourself!” “Hi, I’m 5 Pieces’ Hannah,” she says with a giggle and waves over to a camera they said will be focusing on her. “I just want to say, I am a fan of 5 Pieces and I was so excited hearing you will perform at the AMAs. Congratulations on that!” “Thank you.” “And while I know you’re very talented, I got super impressed by your performance. I even saw an article saying you got over 6 million more followers on Instagram after the AMAs, is that true?” “Uh, yeah, yes, it’s true. I suddenly got a lot more followers.” “How does that feel? How did you react when you saw the numbers rising?” Hannah can’t stop smiling, mostly because she is nervous but also because she is happy remembering who is following her on Instagram and the host sounds excited when he talks. “I’m one of those weird people who doesn’t check my phone during events. So, it wasn’t until after the awards that checked my phone, and so much had happened that … I mean, Demi Lovato started to follow me. That itself was crazy. I just scrolled through who was following me, not even knowing why it was happening. I even cursed in shock when I saw that Christina Aguilera was on the list. For those who doesn’t know, Christina Aguilera is an icon of my life. Since I was like ten, her music has been an inspiration and in 5 Pieces, we’ve covered her songs so… yeah, it shocked me.” “Did you get to meet her at the AMAs? Christina Aguilera?” “Uh…” Hannah starts with a laugh, “No. I didn’t get to meet her and talk to her, but I got to see her perform and that was like … unbelievable, and we were both at the AMAs and we were in the same corridor and all. That was enough for me.” “You don’t think you missed an opportunity to talk to her then?” the MC is curious to know, smiling at her. “No. Well, yeah, but I don’t think I could handle it. I got to meet Kelly Clarkson and a lot of other amazing people, so if I had faced Christina Aguilera, I would’ve cried and ruined my makeup. So I’m good. I got to see her perform from the second row, it couldn’t have gotten better.” “Then it’s enough,” the host laughs at what she says and checks his papers. “We’ll come back to talk more about the AMAs later, but now, we’re going to change the topic a bit. Hannah, you’re from Sweden and have been working in the girl-group 5 Pieces for the past nine years. Where do you live? Do you live in Sweden, do you have a place in South Korea or do you live somewhere else right now?” “Uh, I’ve lived in Seoul, South Korea, for the past nine years. Ever since 5 Pieces started off working in Korea, we’ve been living there and that’s, pretty much what we call home.” “Wow, nine years. That’s a long time.” “Yeah, it is.” “Do you want to live somewhere else in the future, another country perhaps?” “Um… I like it in Seoul. We mostly work there and we have really settled in, you know, so … for now, Seoul is good,” Hannah answers and giggles lightly while nodding her head. “Do you get recognized on the streets in Seoul?” “Oh, yeah. From the beginning, people saw foreigners and they thought of 5 Pieces. It was quite fun in the beginning, how foreigners visiting Seoul would be asked on the street if they are 5 Pieces. But I mean, the stores we frequently visit are a lot calmer, they don’t make a big deal out of having us there.” “Do you get recognized all around the world too?” he asks. “I… I thought at first, when we went on our world tour back in 2015, that we wouldn’t be recognized, but … our fans are everywhere. They spot us easily.” “So you get recognized. Not just in Asia, but everywhere. That’s as expected of 5 Pieces.” She laughs at how sure he is of 5 Pieces fame.
