After concluding yesterday’s promotions with the Musketeers, Hannah meets up with the members today as well. It is Monday and in the middle of filming a shoe commercial, Hannah had left for a few hours to go at a meeting so she will be prepared to join movie filming tomorrow (last meeting before re-joining the crew on set) and in the evening, she is now back to do the last scenes for the commercial. Wearing white sneakers, a t-shirt dress and a long jeans jacket, Hannah is dressed and prepared to be running the streets. That is what she does for an hour. She goes running down the street countless of times for them to capture it in different angles. She runs alone, she runs with Kai, she watches him run alone, then repeat. They have already filmed the scenes of the group dancing and when Hannah and Kai runs up to Taemin outside a café, then meets Ana in a garage for them to do the dance-sequence. Only left is this running for fun part with Hannah and Kai. She is standing with her arms crossed on the street, smiling as she is watching Kai dancing his way down the street for a scene. He comes over to the side to see on the screen what they just filmed, smirking when Hannah tries to lean closer to see it too. “Why are you sweating so much?” he asks with a snort and shows off a bright smile to his own stylist fixing his hair. “Shut up,” Hannah grimaces. The weather is hot and they have been running, of course she is sweating. He is sweating too so he shouldn’t say anything. “That looks good.” “We’ll move on to the last scene,” the director says. “Yeay,” Hannah cheers at the same time as Kai goes ‘yes!’. They laugh at each other’s reaction and a staff member comment that the two of them get along well. Kai shakes his head to the comment. “Hannah is too weird to get along with,” he says, literally frowning and pointing his thumb towards her while Hannah finds herself gaping at her, in shock as she thinks they have gotten along well today. Kai laughs loudly at her reaction and gives her a second-long hug to make up for it. “Kidding. We’ve even slept on the same pillow.” It is the staff member’s turn to gape in shock and Hannah leans her head back in a laugh, following Kai over to where the director tells them to stand. “Sleeping on the same pillow and getting along well has no connection,” Hannah points out to him. “It doesn’t? But if we didn’t get along, we wouldn’t want to share pillow, right?” Kai mentions, sounding like a kid settling the case. Hannah turns around to tell the staff member that they did not sleep on the pillow at the same time but that Kai borrowed her pillow in the van for two days. Kai nods, distantly saying he wants to get one of those pillows. They do get along. While they both come off as calm at times, they easily start laughing over nothing and now too, when the director explains the last scene and Kai starts dancing as he is happy he can go home and sleep after this, Hannah follows his example and they are simply said just dancing a bit before filming. Finishing filming the commercial, it is time to head home and get prepared for tomorrow. Hannah dyed her hair today, to not arrive on set tomorrow with a sudden outgrowth hairline. In the van, she is tired for maybe five seconds, for the rest of the drive she is talking to Manager Lim and Manager Lee and she is singing along to music on the radio. They are mostly talking about Manager Lim slowly coming back to work. He is joining meetings at the agency this week, the first one was today which Maria and Carolina attended (Emelia is in New York, Hannah had her work and Julia has her promotions). The talk about 5 Pieces’ comeback is officially starting. “So you’ll be staying at the hospital on Wednesday?” Hannah wonders. “I will stay there over the night to do the tests on Thursday.” He has been going back and forth from the hospital to do the tests and make sure the cancer isn’t returning. Whenever Hannah thinks of it, she gets sad, scared the tests one day will say he has gotten sick again. She doesn’t want him to get sick. Manager Lee says it too, saying he is glad the cancer was noticed when it was and that he has recovered quickly. A few minutes later, Hannah is singing out to [Titanium] on the radio, laughing hearing Manager Lee sing to certain parts too. Manager Lim looks amused at them, asking if this is how they entertain each other usually – singing in the car. He hasn’t heard Manager Lee sing before, while Hannah has. “It’s only the start of the week; I feel energized,” Manager Lee formally tells Manager Lim, smiling at him. “He sings more than me in the car,” Hannah points out. Manager Lee laughs at those words and Manager Lim says he doubts that. “I have not yet met anyone who sings as much as you and the other ladies in the car,” he says. “Besides from EXO’s Chanyeol, perhaps.” Hannah keeps singing when the bridge arrives in the song, leaning back to sing out, holding out a hand to add emotion to it and Manager Lim is smiling in the seat in front of her. “I really like this song,” he points out when the song is coming to an end. Hannah nods, humming behind him as she thinks of the song. I am titanium, is sung. She nods again thinking that it is a good song for someone who is recovering from cancer; he is bulletproof. “Appa, I think this song suits you,” she mentions. He turns his head around to try give her a smile. “It suits you, Hannah. If you get the chance, sing this in the next car karaoke thing you ladies film at times. It is a pity not letting others hear you sing it.” Hannah grimaces at what he says. She meant the lyrics in the song, not her singing for the fun of it. They drop her off and Manager Lee follows her upstairs, because 5 Pieces still need security when they step outside. While she promises to go to bed early, Hannah isn’t tired. She is excited and nervous to return to set tomorrow and checks her bag and practices her lines countless of times while walking from one room to another. Meanwhile, her dear husband is working in his workroom but helps her practice her lines when he comes out. He is in a tank top and underwear, saying it is hot when taking a seat in the sofa where Hannah is sitting in a huge sweater and blanket over her legs. They have decided to watch an episode of a drama currently airing on TV, just to do something together. Though they follow the episode for a few minutes, they start talking. Talking about what Jonghyun has been working on, talking about that they are going to Japan on Saturday for Taemin’s first solo concert; Jonghyun’s mother and sister are going too. They talk about Hannah returning to film the music video for two months and the fact that Jonghyun has his last solo concert on Sunday (that he repeatedly asks if she is coming to see). Of course she is going. Watching him talk about a song he is currently working on, being so passionate about what he is saying and moving his fingers to describe the sound with movements instead of actual sound, Hannah leans forward to lie down on his chest. She breathes him in and hugs on to him. Jonghyun puts down his arms down her back, still talking about the song though he remembers another song he has been working on. “I started working on it weeks ago but I lost inspiration for it,” he tells her and places his lips on her head for a second. “It isn’t a song I want to share with others, instead it is one of those that I want to work on in private for a long time. You know that?” “Mm.” “But I’ll play it for you one day. Not now, not tonight… another day. I’ll work on it a bit more so you can hear it,” Jonghyun quietly promises and moves down a bit to lie down with her in his arms. “If you stay like this I am going to fall asleep, Nabi.” “Fall asleep then,” Hannah mumbles, comfortably resting while watching the TV. She isn’t really following what is happening on the screen though. She has been thinking of something since she was in the car before. “You know the song [Titanium]?” “Yeah, David Guetta.” She tilts her head back to give him a smile over the way he says David Guetta. Koreans and their way to say foreign names is always a bit difficult to understand. Jonghyun shoves her hair into her face for laughing at him, knowing what she reacts at. “What about it?” he asks. “Appa talked about it before and I was thinking to call Mr. Bear so I might do a cover of the song. But I’m not sure,” she mumbles. Mr. Bear is a vocal coach. “Mm, it’s a hard song,” Jonghyun agrees. “Start by talk to Mr. Bear about it.” “I’m going to call him in the morning.” “He’ll probably ask you to sing a bit for him.” Jonghyun is patting her back, lightly playing on it like you play the drums. He is definitely not watching the TV. Though they both get tired from lying in the sofa, they don’t fall asleep. They keep talking about this and that, changes the channel on the TV to watch something else but end up just cuddling and mumbling that they should go to bed or that they should eat something. They eventually chose the bed over food. ++ - + - + - + - + - + - + - + - + - + - + - + -+ - + - + - + - + - + - + - + - + - + - + - + - + - + - + -+ - + - ++   Though she almost forgets to give the vocal coach a call, she does it after visiting the saloon, heading to the day’s set. Just as expected, he wants to hear her sing it. rather than hearing her sing over the phone, she gets to go to the bathroom when arriving on set to record the song on her phone to send it to the coach who later texts her a response. While she is focused on set, being cheerful with the crew because Hannah has indeed missed filming the movie so to be back is a lot of fun, she takes glances on her phone to stay in touch with her coach. Before they sit down to have dinner, she has contacted the PD at Honggi’s radio she is guesting on and has gotten the approval to sing the song on the radio this Wednesday. She has it all planned out; tell Manager Lim to listen to the radio ad surprise him by singing the song. It is perfect. She just needs to practice the song like crazy until then, which is tomorrow evening. During dinner, most people are taking a break together. At first it was planned to go to a restaurant and eat there, but the weather is horrible with heavy rain and thunder nearby so they ordered take-out instead. Actor Kim Heewon, who is playing the dirty police officer in the movie, spends a part of the dinner to talk about experience with Hannah. Others are listening too but he started telling her about a previous action movie he filmed, where he also had the bad guy role. Rather than talking passionately or with a lot of expressions, he comes off more like simply talking to her. He is charismatic. Hannah admires all her co-workers on the set and she is interested in everything they tell her. Which is why, when Kim Heewon pats her on the back after dinner, praising her in front of the director that she is a charming junior, Hannah only smiles happily. They are going through the next scene, the director describing it for them step by step while they are standing on set. Hannah hasn’t been filming much today, she has mostly just been watching Kim Heewon doing his parts. It is a good day to come back to because it isn’t too hectic, the weather outside is terrible so it gets kind of cosy working indoors and the conversations are mostly about crops and weather. A lot of the staff has been complimenting Hannah of her promotions with the Musketeers, like saying they heard the song on the radio or watching a music program and so on. But it feels good to be back on set, she repeats that a lot during the day. Hearing what they will do, Hannah is smiling widely from director to Kim Heewon. “I’m going to really punch him?” she asks. Kim Heewon laughs and holds out his hand towards her. “Your eyes are glimmering. Don’t look to happy to hear that you’ll get to punch me,” he says with a laugh and Hannah smiles widely. “Not an actual punch, just a light one. Make it look tough, but don’t make it tough,” the director explains with a play of words and add as a joke; “I don’t want to ruin his face, after all.” Kim Heewon keeps laughing lightly and touching Hannah’s arm as she still looks happy. She is just excited to do some action rather than sneaking around and stalking, which is the kind of scenes she has this week. Dressed for the character, Hannah is in a pair of long denim overalls in black and a dark grey cropped hoodie underneath. White and black converse and a black cheap cap to fill out the stalking-concept. She likes the outfit, especially now when she has worn it for a few hours and gotten comfortable in it. Her co-star is dressed in a suit, looking like an important person for his role. They go through the scene step by step, Hannah can’t stop smiling when she is in slow-motion practicing how to punch him to make it look good on camera. He will move when her fist touches his cheek so it won’t be a real punch though it looks tough. Rather than going through once and waste film doing the scene, they practice several of times to know exactly what to do that when the camera is rolling, they know their parts. Filming it once, filming it twice- Out of nowhere, the room goes dark. All the lamps are turned off; the electricity in the building is gone and for a second it is completely quiet before people start asking each other if they are okay, what to do now and how to continue. Hannah just laughs, squatting down. “Everyone, it’s a blackout,” an assistant is announcing to everyone. “To not knock things over, please use the lights on your phone and … we don’t have a choice but to take a break until the power is back. I’ll let you all know when we have more information.” Countless of phones are being used to shine light on where they go, being careful of cameras and equipment and Manager Lee is out of nowhere standing next to Hannah. Though it is a sudden break and blackout, the mood is good. some are laughing that this is happening and Kim Heewon tells Hannah that these kinds of things are good signs; a blackout during filming can mean the movie will be a success. The director and a staff member agrees with him and within minutes the mood is even better as people are believing it is a good sign. Manager Lee is probably the only person around who does not believe it, muttering when they are back in the dressing-room that Koreans believe everything are signs. He means there is thunder outside, that’s why it is a blackout. Hannah doesn’t talk back. She has found an opportunity to go practice [Titanium]. She goes to the bathroom to be alone, watching the lyrics on her phone and playing the instrumental to sing along. Her phone keeps giving off a sound though, interrupting her. Jonghyun is texting her, sharing a story about this manga he is reading online because every manga he has gone through, the girl will say I love you first and the boyfriend will answer with you too. Hannah sighs when just reading that much, knowing before reading what he is annoyed over. Jonghyun doesn’t like it when someone answers you too when it is such big words as I love you. She turns off the sound on her phone with a smile after writing a short response to him so she can continue to practice without interruption. It is dark for about forty minutes. Hannah is practicing for almost half an hour, and during that time she is interrupted two times by those who actually want to use the bathroom, and after that half an hour, she is being laughed at for practicing in the bathroom. “Is that how artists practice these days?” a staff member is smiling at Hannah from bright corner of the set when everyone are heading back to work. “I didn’t want to disturb everyone,” Hannah answers with a pout. “Ah, why not? I would love to hear you sing,” another staff member says with a sad tone. Hannah just smiles in response, taking her words as a joke, though a few minutes later the staff member asks Hannah to sing what she was practicing. With everyone getting ready to continue filming, Hannah lowly sings a bit of the song. She sings it well, but she is smiling and is completely off on the feeling. But they still applaud her so Hannah gives a polite bow, saying they are too kind. The scene they do is the punch-in-the-face scene. Hannah keeps smiling again when they go through it anew but as soon as they are going to film, she gets into character and reminds herself of finding out that Kim Heewon’s character is a police officer sworn to protect the innocent but actually avoids the law and works with some bad guys on the side. She does punch him as they have practiced, laughing when seeing the footage because she looks like she is holding back and Kim Heewon tells her to just do it. “Punch me. Don’t worry about my face,” he says and jokes about it with the director as they head in position to do it again. Hannah swings her fist in the air to practice, being serious as she is still in character though she hears someone say she look like a boxer the way she is standing. This time, she does punch him. Though it feels like she punches him too hard as she put in more strength in the punch, she tries to hold her expression until she hears ‘cut’ being called out and she gives out a cry, apologizing to Kim Heewon. “Damn!” he exclaims with a hand on his cheek, but laughs as Hannah gives him a hug. “It was good, it was good.” “I’m sorry…” Hannah pouts. For the short time left of their filming today, Hannah keeps glancing at his cheek. She punches him a few more times but not as hard, doing it in different angles and such. Once they are leaving, she is yawning in the car, smiling with her manager and stylist about today – especially about punching her co-star and the blackout. She gets quiet when getting into writing to Jonghyun. He is doing a radio show later so he won’t be home until late and when Hannah wrote to him that she is now heading home, he started writing quite a lot. “Hannah…” Manager Lee questionably says with a glance in the mirror. “Mm?” she asks without looking up from her phone. “You’re still going to meet up with the vocal coach in the morning?” he wonders. She looks up, for a few seconds spacing out at her manager before saying she has book the vocal coach already so, yes, she is going. Manager Lee had heard they will get a late morning tomorrow and was glad for it, just to hear Hannah say today that she is meeting up the vocal coach (Mr Bear) tomorrow morning to practice for the radio broadcast tomorrow evening. He sighs when nodding at her answer and Hannah is writing a reminder to Jonghyun that she will leave earlier tomorrow than what she had told him, as she had forgotten she has practice with the vocal coach. Otherwise they had been planning to sleep in. As the van makes a stop outside the apartment building, Jonghyun sends his response. It’s simple; ‘you’re going on Honggi’s radio?’. Though it is written down, she can sense the dislike in the words. They fought about it last week and she has honestly been avoiding the topic though he knows she is scheduled to appear on the radio again. It takes just a few seconds from her seeing his texts and not even starting to write back that he is calling her. she puts her phone in her pocket to take her bag and head out, as Manager Lee is going with her upstairs – security. Only when she has said goodnight to her manager and locked the door after her to the apartment does she call Jonghyun back, explaining why she didn’t answer his call and sighing when answering that she is going on the radio. Her husband is not in a good mood. Not when she calls him back, not when saying she is home alone, not when finally answering his question about Honggi’s radio and his mood only seems to get worse. After some nagging back and forth, he ends up saying ‘we’ll talk about it when I come home’. Completely exhausted, more because of Jonghyun rather than working, Hannah prepared for bed with countless of sighs. She can’t think of tomorrow because all she thinks of is what fight they will have when Jonghyun comes home. She doesn’t understand why he doesn’t want her to go on Honggi’s radio, not understanding the jealousy. She could say she won’t go if it was some karaoke meet up with Honggi and some friends, just because Jonghyun is Jonghyun, but this is work. And she is going on the radio mostly to sing the song to Manager Lim. Lying down in bed, she writes on 5 Pieces’ chat to ask what everyone are doing. Emelia came back to Seoul just a few hours ago, as she has been in New York for KCON. The only lady writing back is Maria, writing that she is reading fanfiction and that Emelia has been dead in her room from the trip since she came home. Julia should be coming home from work and Carolina is a question-mark. Either way, Maria asks Hannah what she is doing and if she has re-started the movie filming now. They chat for a few minutes before Hannah gives Maria a call. They talk for twenty minutes and sometime around there, Hannah comes in on that she will fight with Jonghyun about Honggi. She is tired of it and doesn’t want to fight, and after those twenty minutes, Hannah is out the door. Hannah has her own car keys, texts her husband as well as her manager and the security guard to let everyone know she is staying at the house tonight. Different texts to them all, obviously, as she writes to Jonghyun that she doesn’t want to fight so she is going to stay at the house tonight. She is honest about it with him and adds that they can talk tomorrow when she is done working. It is the rare hour of the night when it is dark outside, as it is the summer, and Hannah quietly heads to the house in her car. Maria greets her by the door, giving her a tired hug, they head upstairs and basically go straight to bed. Hannah share bed with Maria, lying next to each other, both with phone in hand and chatting quietly. Hannah could sleep in the guestroom, but Maria suggested her own bed because Hannah was feeling down. Or because Maria wants some company.   With the sound off on her phone, Hannah sleeps well. It takes time to fall asleep but when she falls asleep, she is in deep sleep until her alarm sets off. Maria is still asleep so Hannah heads up on her own, getting dressed and ready before heading downstairs, just to surprise a half-awake Emelia sitting in the sofa. “Why are you here? Up there?” Emelia bluntly asks and glances upstairs, frowning and blinking clueless. “I slept here,” Hannah answers. She walks over to the sofa to lean over the backrest from behind, playing with Milo who is lying in the sofa. “Is he allowed up here?” “Not when anyone else is around,” Emelia answers, petting the dog with her foot. “What happened last night?” “Nothing. I got to go… work.” Instead of explaining the reason as to why Hannah stayed over, Hannah decides to leave instead. The van is waiting outside for her. Manager Lee sitting by the steering wheel and on the seat behind is Manager Lim, which is a surprise for Hannah as she didn’t know he would be here. He smiles warmly when she takes her seat, asking if she slept well. The whole reason he is here is because he heard Hannah was staying at the house and was worried she argued with Jonghyun, and wanted to make sure she is okay. And he gets an early ride to the agency, as Hannah is going there to practice. Hannah has kept a secret what song she is practicing for tonight’s radio, he just knows she is going to practice for it. While she does tell him that she slept at the house because of an argument with Jonghyun, she does her best to make it seem like no big deal though she still doesn’t want to talk to Jonghyun. He hasn’t texted her or anything since she wrote to him that she is staying at the house. Not even an ‘okay’ to show he saw her text. She had been worried he would call or text her tons as he isn’t the one to avoid things. She is happy to have Manager Lim with her in the van. Not that Manager Lee is bad company, it is just that she meets Manager Lee whenever she is working (and she is working almost every day a week) so it is nice sitting in the van, talking to Manager Lim. They buy some breakfast to bring with them. It has stopped raining during the night and bright clouds are covering the sky, making it unsure if the rain will come back during the day or if the sun will peek out. Still not fully awake, Hannah pulls a blanket around her before leaving the van. It might be morning, but she still sees four fans outside the agency. Foreigners, it looks like, maybe coming by on a typical tour as SM, JYP and FNC are in the same area. She knows fans coming to Seoul tend to stop by the agencies in hope to catch their idol or just to photograph the building their idols work in. With two managers on her side, none of the fans walks closer. They do call her name from a distance, squealing and staring, and daring out a shaky ‘good morning’. once Hannah has stepped inside, she hears the fans freak out outside; they saw a member of 5 Pieces. Hannah heads straight to the vocal practice room, starting to warm up her voice while waiting for Mr Bear to arrive. Now she is alone, as her managers are off doing other things in the building. When Mr Bear arrives, they are talking for twenty minutes before starting to practice. Two hours at the agency, then they leave to the saloon and head off to continue filming the action movie. Jonghyun texted her when she was at the saloon, asking if she is doing the radio tonight. One question and she get so mad at it. She doesn’t get how he thinks, as if she would call the radio and say she can’t come just because he doesn’t want her to? They are texting each other during the day, arguing and getting angry at each other for not understanding one another’s feelings. But they don’t call. Hannah is glad for that as she does not want to argue over the phone with others around her (as she gets her hair and makeup done, then she has staff and stylists around her, she is never alone). There is mostly just waiting for her today, so she can argue a lot through texts with Jonghyun, while she puts her phone down a lot to hang out with the movie crew; chat, eat, take weir
