"We have arrived." Hanna said out loud while I was still daydreaming. She turned off the engine after she had parked in front of my house. It hadn't changed at all. I smiled when the memories of my childhood popped up like a movie in my head. We had been so happy back then, before Gisele's arrival. We grabbed my stuff from the back seats and got out of the car. We got the rest in the trunk. Hanna took her keys to open the door, but it opened by itself. In front of us were my father with a girl of at least three years in his arms.

"Finally! Vicky couldn't stand this wait anymore." He complained. He gave Hanna a quick kiss, then he kissed my forehead.

"It's a lie, Mommy!" The girl named Vicky protested. I wondered how that little girl could be Hanna's daughter. She had light brown hair, which was too long for her age in my opinion. Her skin was a bit pale and her eyes were as blue as the sea. She looked at me with curious eyes. "Daddy, is she my new sister?" She asked my father. She was so cute.

'Has she just called my father daddy? Do I have a younger sister and didn't know it?' All those questions popped up in my head along with other ones.

"Yes. Say hello." Hanna said, looking at me with a smile.

"Hello. My name is Victoria and I'm four years old. Daddy and Mommy call me Vicky. What's your name?" She asked in the cutest voice in the world. I didn't know why, but I just started crying and couldn't stop.

"Daddy, did I say something that hurt her?" I heard Vicky ask, worried.

"No, darling. Come in." My father stepped away from the door, so we could come in. He told her to go to her room and get ready for her bath.

"Why did you start crying?" He asked and hugged me.

"I have missed four years of my sister's life, a sister I didn't even know existed!" I answered, still crying.

"Mina, calm down. Vicky isn't my daughter, but my niece. Your uncle and his wife died three years ago in a car accident on their way to our house. She miraculously survived and I decided to take care of her." He explained and I stopped crying.

"Uncle Bob died?" I asked in shock.

"Yes, unfortunately." He answered with sadness in his eyes. Hanna comforted him with a hug.

My father and uncle Bob had always been very close. They had abandoned in an orphanage in Germany and had had to grow up without affection because the orphanage was very rigid. They had only had each other and together they had faced the hard life in Berlin. One had been the pillar of the other. Together, they had created a construction company that these days was among the 20 best in the world. My father must have suffered a lot and I hadn't been there to comfort him.

"I'm sorry, Dad." I said and hugged him quickly.

"It's not time for sadness, but for joy. One of the women of my life is with me again and I couldn't be happier." He pulled me and Hanna into a hug. Our moment was interrupted by Vicky's call.

"I'll see what she wants." I said and parted from my father's hug.

It was easy to find the door to her room. Among the doors, there was a pink one with a pink plaque with her name on it. I walked in without knocking and found her sitting on the bed.

"Hi." I said as I sat down beside her. "My name is Mina."
