I stopped walking in the middle of the woods and dried my cheeks, which were soon soaked again by my tears. I looked at the starry sky and the mysterious, yet beautiful moon and smiled. I closed my eyes and let myself be embraced by moonbeams. Even though everything around me seemed to be upside down, the moon would always be the same.

“Look what we have here, guys.” I opened slowly my eyes and looked at the group of men in front of me. They were looking at me hungrily and one of them moved to fast for my eyes to accompany. He showed up in front of me and I looked at him with nonchalance. I ignored his presence and kept on admiring the moon which seemed to be trying to comfort me with its beams. “You shouldn’t ignore people like us, sweetheart.” I looked again at him who had a malicious smile on his lips and grabbed his hand before it touched my cheek. I squeezed his hand with the strength I had to control all time and he let out a yell.

“SHE’LL BREAK MY HAND!” His friend tried to come to his aid, but a gust of air threw them far away.

“I hate vampires who think of women as the easiest preys.” I said and he looked at me terrified. I let off his hand when I heard his bones break and he ran away along with his friends. It was easy for them to act as jerks when they were sure that I was a simple human. I watched them disappear in the darkness of the woods and I fell on the ground. I looked up and tears started to fill my eyes. The moon, which had seemed to comfort me before, had a glance of superiority as if it was happy of my sorrow. I started punching the ground and I couldn’t say if my tears were of sorrow or of anger. I shouted out of frustration and looked at my bloody knuckles.

‘What is happening to me?’

“Mina.” Someone said my name softly and I lifted my head. Yoongi was approached me quickly and his eyes were full with confusion and worry. “What are you doing here?” He bent down and wiped my tears with his thumbs. I remained silent and contemplate his beauty. I lifted my hand to touch his cheek and I smiled softly when I felt his cold, yet soft skin. My hand went up and ruffled slightly his messy hair. He must have been running for a while. He was watching all of my moves without saying anything

“Why are you in the woods so late, Mina?” He asked softly and I rested my head on his chest without answering him. He sighed and got away. That act was like an arrow to my heart and I bit my bottom lip so as not to start sobbing. He lifted me delicately and he grabbed my hand in order to make me follow him. We were walking in silence through the forest and my energy started to fade away slowly.

“Yoongi.” I called him, but he didn’t stop. He grabbed my hand more tightly and fastened his pace. I tried to keep on with him, but he was walking too fast for my legs which were lacking of energy and I ended up falling. He put an arm around my waist and the other under my legs and he lifted me easily. I managed to close my eyes before he started running in his normal speed. I hid my face on his chest because the wind was beating with too much strength against my face. Yoongi’s arms were my favourite place in the world. It was as if I were on the clouds and everything around me were peaceful.

“Mina, Doctor Oh is here.” I opened my eyes and Vicky smiled widely at me. I stood up and looked serious at her. Her smile faded slightly, but she managed to keep on smiling at me. She grabbed my hand and I followed her out of the room. We went downstairs and entered the living room where everyone was waiting for us.

“Mina.” Annick walked towards me to hug me, but I dodged her. I looked blankly at her and I went from her.

“You can sit here, Mina.” Yerin pointed to the space next to her on the couch and I obeyed silently.

“How are you feeling, Mina?” Lina, who had a notepad and a pen in her hands, asked and she started writing something when I didn’t answer.

“Do you want to eat something?” I looked at Jaebeom who had a bind on his lips.

‘Let’s go.’ Rose said, also tired of them.

I stood up and I left the room without saying anything. I went to kitchen in order to reach the garden and I walked towards my greenhouse. I grabbed the thread of the necklace with the key to the door I made so as to never lose it and I opened it. I went in quickly and I locked the door. I lay down on the cold floor and I hugged tightly my teddy bear as if my life depended on it.
