I had stared confused at the huge building in front of us. With a sad smile my father opened and I’d got out the car. He grabbed my hand and we’d walked towards the building. A woman and a man, both in white clothes, had been waiting for us. The woman had smiled at me widely and the man had remained a serious expression. Gisele and my father had greeted them with a handshake.

“Go with this kind girl while I talk with this man.” I had obeyed my father and I had grabbed the woman’s hand so as to follow her. I’d looked around curious and I’d frowned because people were wearing the same. She had opened a door and she had invited me to enter in. I’d obeyed and I sat on the bed.

“I’m Carrie.” The woman had introduced herself.

“My name is Mina.” I had smiled and I had watched her take a set of clothes out of a drawer.

“Put this on.” Once again I had obeyed her though I was very confused. When I had had the white dress on, Carrie had grabbed my clothes and she had left the room. I got out the bed and I’d approached the window. I’d seen my father and Gisele getting on the car and the car getting away.

I remembered how I had felt something break inside of me while I had stayed there seeing the car getting away. Instead of crying like any child, I had got back to the bed and I had laid down. I had refused to cry even though I had wanted so bad.
 

Days later when I had been about to break down, Lan had appeared in human height and he had showed his usual huge smile. He had hugged me tightly and I had finally let the tears fall freely because I had known that we wouldn’t ask the reason. I was easier to cry in front of a friend than of strangers who asked strange things for a little girl’s mind. With each passing week, he would spend less time with me until the day where he hadn’t come at all and he let a letter on my couch.

Somehow it had been easier to forgive him than my father. Even though he wasn’t allowed to show himself to me, he had done it to ease my pain of having been abandoned and he had at least been brave enough, even it was through a letter, why he was going away.
 

I hadn’t cried that day and I had spent my days seeing the sky through the windows while thinking about my childhood. For the nurses I was just a patient who hadn’t wanted to be there, which actually was true, and would ignore everyone except Carrie to show its discontent. The idea of a child suffering hadn’t come through their mind. They couldn’t understand that the crystal ball where every child is put in, so that it didn’t have to face the cruel reality of the world and it could dream limitless, had broken too soon in my case. They couldn’t understand that it was too premature for a child to see what the world had done to people.
 

“Where have you bought those necklace?” Annick’s voice brought me back to reality.

“I didn’t bought it.” I answered and I grabbed my pendants which were still hidden underneath my sweater.

“Then who gave it to you?” I remained silent and I looked at nothing.

‘Send her away.’ A voice similar to mine and Roses’s said.

‘Solux?’ I said her name unsure.

‘Why would she do that?’ Rose asked.

‘Yes, it’s me. To answer your question Roseline, she’s exhausted and since you’re the one who knows her longer, you should know that to talk about the past hurts her a lot.’ Rose didn’t answer and she became aware of the pain I was suppressing.
 

I hated to lie to them. I could even lose my life when they found out the truth even though there was a chance of Hoseok preventing them of killing me. He was a quite pacific vampire who tried to avoid death, but he would not hesitate if Namjoon told him that the suspect was lying.

‘You forgot a little detail, Mina.’ Rose said and I frowned.

‘What?’

‘Maybe the fact that Namjoon can’t hypnotise you.’ Solux answered in her place.

‘Then I’m lost.’

“MINA! THERE’S SOMEONE ON THE TELEPHONE WHO WANTS TO TALK .” Yerin yelled. I grabbed my teddy bear and I went out the room without looking at Annick because I didn’t want to talk anymore. I went downstairs and I thanked Yerin with a small smile before answering the phone.

-Hello.-

-Hello, Mina. It’s Ara.- I smiled involuntarily, but I hid it from the others in the living room.

-Hello, Ara. How are you?-
 

-I’m fine. I called you because we are supposed to go shopping together this Saturday and I would like to know when we should meet.- I managed to understand her despite the noises in the other side of the line.

-1 A.M. Is that fine for you?- I suggested and I walked out the living room to escape their analytical eyes.
 

-Yoongi, I’ve already said no. It’s a girls’ day and you’re not a girl as far I know.-

-If it’s a girls’ day, then I can come too.- Alice said excited.

-You can’t also come because you’re too young.- Ara explained and I heard her huffed. -I’m sorry. I didn’t hear what you said.-
 

-I asked if at 1 A.M was fine for you.- She didn’t answer again and I heard some noises.
 

-Hello, Mina.- Jungkook greeted me.

-Hello, Jinsun.-
