Me and Q are currently at the recording studio of LightUp Entertainment.

Apparently, Q had begun a project and he needed me to complete it.

Jinho : A Christmas love song? You're only doing this now?

Q : I've been too busy with De1 and Aurora. Now that I'm free, I thought that we can start recording it now. Here's the music sheet and lyrics.

Jinho : Which part am I singing?

Q : The chorus. The others have sang their parts for the song. It's just you and the chorus.

That caught me off guard. This was one of those really rare times when I get the whole chorus for myself. For most of De1's songs, the chorus is normally shared between me, Q and Joo. If not shared, it's normally Q that takes it all.

Jinho : Now I'm nervous! I liked how we used to share the chorus!

Q : Hyung, the chorus is made for your voice! I know you can do it!

I heard everything he said, but my eyes were focused on the lyrics he showed me. That's how nervous I was!

As I was looking through it, something else caught my attention.

Jinho : Why is the title of the song called 'Best Friend'? I thought this was a Christmas song?

Q : Christmas 'love' song. It's a song that talks about a budding love during Christmas.

Jinho : Ahh... and these couples were friends?

Q : Yes! I think it's very common. Two people who are so close, finally confesses their love on a special day. Christmas is perfect because of the weather.

Jinho : I understand. Just by reading the lyrics, I got the gist of it. Let's give it a try then!

I went into the soundproof room and began warming up my voice. At the same time, I tried to gather the emotion needed to sing the song, but what emotion is it?

I immediately waved at Q through the glass between us. He noticed and pressed a button on his desk that allows my voice to pass through the soundproof room.

Q : What is it, hyung?

Jinho : Is this a happy love song, or a slow love song?

Q : I'll play the latest recording I did with the others. You'll know when you hear it.

I quickly wore the headphones provided in the room to hear the song. I could hear a piano playing that sounded very uplifting, following a beat that complimented the soft and slow piano playing.

In conclusion, it was a happy but slow and emotional song. I have to maintain a high voice through the chorus.

Jinho : Are you sure about me singing the chorus? You know my voice has a slightly lower tone than yours.

Q : Your voice is what I need for this chorus. I practically had you in mind when writing the lyrics and melody.

And just like that, I regained my confidence. Not because of his comforting words, but by the fact that he taught of me for the chorus. He's amazing when it comes to music, so if he thinks that I'm the right guy for it, he's probably right.
