Me and Wendy will be hanging out tonight. What surprised me about this is where she wanted me to meet her.

 

Jinho : It's good to see you again!

Store Owner : It's nice to see you too! I didn't think you were going to come back so soon.

Jinho : Is there a customer inside?

Store Owner : A lady. Are you meeting her?

Jinho : Yes. Can you keep a secret?

Store Owner : Of course! Don't worry.

 

I went inside the music store. I remember when I was struggling with myself and the store owner helped me out. I still haven't listened to all the albums I bought.

As I looked around, I see Wendy, wearing a denim shirt and blue tight jeans. She was looking through the shelves. I sneaked behind her to say hello.

 

Jinho : So, what's a pretty girl like you doing in a place like this?

 

Wendy turned around. She smiled at my American greeting.

 

Wendy : I'm meeting this guy. He obviously doesn't know the meaning of punctuality.

 

I smiled as she decided to play along.

 

Jinho : Maybe it's because he's busy?

Wendy : He's a very busy person, but I'm grateful he can keep his promise.

 

I was confused. I didn't remember making any promises.

 

Jinho : What promise?

 

Wendy smiled as she saw my confused look.

 

Wendy : He said he would text me the night we met. I'm glad he did.

 

I couldn't help but smile to myself.

 

Jinho : It sounds like you miss this guy.

Wendy : It's not everyday I see a guy that would get sick for stray cats.

 

We laughed. Wendy was certainly different compared to Mina and Dahyun. Maybe it's because she's older.

 

Jinho : So, what are you looking for?

Wendy : Nothing. I just like to look around for old songs. Rare ones, mostly.

Jinho : Like classic hits?

Wendy : Yes! Any recommendation?

Jinho : I don't think they have it here, but you should listen to Survivor songs.

 

Wendy was surprised when I recommended her that.

 

Wendy : 'Burning Heart'?

Jinho : Yes! or 'Eye of the Tiger'.

Wendy : Wah! What else do you know?

Jinho : Have you heard of Dire Straits?

 

We got excited as we found something we have in common. We ended up talking for a long time. I almost forgot about dinner.

 

Jinho : Do you wanna get out of here and get something to eat?

Wendy : Sure! Where to?

Jinho : I know a cold noodle place nearby.

Wendy : Okay. Let's go!

 

At that moment, I smirked to myself. Why did I recommend that? I don't like cold noodle.

 

13 October 2016 (Thursday), 8.45 p.m.

We were having our meal at the cold noodle restaurant. Wendy finished her bowl. I was barely halfway through.

 

Wendy : You don't like cold noodles, do you?

Jinho : What? The song?

 

She laughed at my joke, but was a little annoyed.

 

Wendy : Ah seriously... If you didn't like this place, we didn't have to go.

 

I smiled as I see how annoyed she was. It was cute.

 

Jinho : I usually eat plain food, like rice. I think I'll get used to cold noodles eventually.

 

Wendy pouted. She can see I was having trouble eating the noodle.

 

Wendy : Can you finish it?

Jinho : Sure, but by that time, I think our date will be over.

 

Wendy looked surprised by my reply. She began to act shy.
