I'm filming for a drama tonight. I was offered a cameo, singing in a cafe scene.

Yesterday, I was a little disappointed that Dahyun hasn't seen my keychain, but it didn't bother me much. We didn't chat much afterwards. She must have been tired after cooking. After we left the rented kitchen, I took her back to her dorm and we parted ways. I hope she had a good rest.

Currently, I'm just waiting in the cafe with Manager-nim, watching the main actors film a scene outside. It was an actor and an actress doing a comedy love scene.

 

Jinho : That must be nice.

Manager : Acting or talking to a girl?

 

I laughed at his question.

 

Jinho : Both! I think I can have a good career as an actor.

 

Preparing for this was easy. The script was easy to remember. However, I should consider taking acting lessons before becoming an official actor.

 

Manager : I think you can do it. If you want to, talk to the CEO after De1's comeback.

Jinho : You know what, nevermind. I should just focus on what I'm doing now.

 

As I watched the actors filming, I saw three stray cats outside. They were playing near the set.

 

Jinho : Can you buy me fried chicken? I'm a little hungry.

Manager : Okay. I know a place nearby. I'll be back in 15 minutes.

 

The kitchen in the cafe was closed due to the filming, so Manager-nim has to go somewhere else to get the chicken.

 

Jinho : I don't want spicy this time! Just get the regular kind.

Manager : Okay!

 

He left the cafe. Once he was out of sight, I went out and pet the cats. They were practically kittens.

I sat next to them and laid against a wall. They came close and rubbed their fur on my legs. I guess they were feeling a little cold.

After a while, someone came over and stood a few feet away from me. 

 

Wendy : They're so cute!

 

She was a girl with brown hair, wearing a white top, blue jacket and blue jeans. She looked familiar. I just couldn't put my finger on it.

To avoid the awkwardness, I casually replied.

 

Jinho : They are. Are you an actress here too?

Wendy : Yes, but just a supporting role. I just arrived on set.

Jinho : Ah... must be nice.

 

Soon, it became quiet. She looked at me confused.

 

Wendy : Do you... not know me?

 

I smiled to myself. I got caught.

 

Jinho : I know I've seen you from somewhere! I just can't remember where.

 

She pouted. She looked very familiar.

 

Wendy : I know who you are, but you don't know me...

 

I laughed at her reply. I seriously can't remember where I've seen her. I know we've never met.

 

Jinho : Are you an idol?

Wendy : Yes. I thought you have a really good memory?

 

Now my pride was on the line. While I was still playing with the kittens, I tried to figure it out.

 

Jinho : Can I have your name?

 

She gave me a smile.

 

Wendy : Wendy!

 

Finally, my brain pieced it together.

 

Jinho : Ah! Red Velvet!

Wendy : Yes! And you're Jinho from De1.

 

She walked closer and laid against the wall while standing up.

 

Wendy : You like cats?

Jinho : Yes. I like to play with them. Even strays. You?

Wendy : I don't think I can touch strays.

Jinho : That's normal. Not everyone's the same.

 

We were a little quiet for a while. Soon enough, Manager-nim came back.

 

Manager : Jinho, what are you doing outside? It's cold.

Jinho : I was just playing with the cats!

Manager : Well, come inside and wash your hands! I'll put the food on the table.

Jinho : It's okay! Just bring it here!
