After the meeting, I went to visit my dad's grave. It's been years since I've come here.

Jinho : Hi, Dad. It's been too long. Guess who's finally grown up?

After moving back to Korea, I never got to visit the grave again. He was a local businessman. One day, he was diagnosed with Stage 3 lung cancer. His life wasn't terrible though. He had a good family, good job, good friends... I just wished he could stick around longer.

Jinho : My memory is still good! Remember when we thought it would disappear one day, and I'd have to play chess with you like a normal person?

Back then, I always remembered my dad's habits in a game. I took out his pieces before he could use them. I'll admit, chess quickly got boring for both of us.

Jinho : Oh! I finally have brothers now! Their names are Haneul, Kyuchul, Sungho and Joohwan. They are a pain, but they have been really supportive since my accident. Oh yeah! I also have bits of plastic and metal in my knee.

I forced a laugh to ignore the loneliness I was feeling. I just kept talking and talking. I thought my dad would want to hear all this.

Jinho : So yeah! I thought last year was ty. This year definitely broke the scale, but it's also the best year so far. I got to come back here, see you again... I've also made a lot more friends.

I didn't plan on talking about bringing mum to live in Korea, but it just came out.

Jinho : So, I want to bring mum to live with me in Korea. I know, I know! Who's gonna visit you after that? I can't promise things will change for me, but mum will definitely come here less often. I hope you're not mad. I just want to take care of her, but I can't do that if she stays here.
