21 June 2016 (Tuesday), 5 p.m.

De1 is attenting LightUp Entertainment's first ever trainee showcase. We never had one because there wasn't a point to doing it. We were the only trainees at the time. The company was practically betting everything on our success, but now, things are different. The company is more financially stable and have made a mark in the competition of K-pop industry.

We'll be watching the trainees that will be LightUp's first girl group. These girls were the last to be scouted by the CEO. However, they were done so after our debut. We have not personally met them as they had private practice sessions. Also in our defence, we were pretty busy at the time.

As we arrived at the LightUp building, Manager-nim brought us to the 3rd Floor Practice Room. I guess it will suffice for only one group to perform. Once we entered the room, we noticed there were seats placed on one side of the room. I guess that's where we're sitting.

We took our seats, but it didn't take long for us to start chatting.

Sungho : So? Do you guys know any of the girls?

Jinho : None of us know. It could be anyone.

Sky : We only know that it's four girls.

Q : This means we'll get more breaks, right? When they debut?

Sky : Maybe. I hope so.

Jinho : They'll debut near the end of the year. Let's be good sunbaes and help them out in anyway we can.

Everyone nodded. After a while, the four girls finally entered the room. They were definitely pretty. To our surprise, they immediately went to our direction. One girl with long black hair spoke.

Somi : Hello. It's nice to finally meet you sunbaes.

We immediate stood up.

Jinho : One, two, three...

De1 : We De Best! Annyeonghaseyo... we are De1!

I extended my right hand.

Jinho : It's nice to meet you too. My name's Jinho.

She accepted my gesture for a handshake.

Somi : My name's Somi. I'm the eldest of the girls. This is Soyi, G.A, and Inna.

Jinho : Hello, there. These are my dongsaengs, Sky, Q, Sungho, and Joo.

Both our groups exchanged greetings. They seem like very friendly girls. At first, I thought it would be too weird for De1 to get along with the girls, but I can see now that it won't be a problem.

Somi : It's time to perform! You guys, please be sure to support our performance, okay?

In unison...

De1 : Okay!!!

We went back to our seats with anticipation. What will the girls' performance be like? Cute? y? Or maybe something different all together?

As the lights dimmed, everyone's attention were on the girls. Piano music began to play. Somi began the song with her soft voice. The song appeared to be a ballad. We listened to her voice and she was almost as good as Q. After Somi's part, the song started to pick up. A drum beat joined in and Inna started to rap, but she was doing so with many pauses an
