Jinho : It's snowing...

 

I just landed at Incheon International Airport. Yesterday, I went back to Malaysia to collect photographs and family portraits. I thought that it would be for the best if I had them with me now. I went there at this time to avoid any delays due to hazardous weather, or even fully booked flights.

When I got back, it was already snowing. I looked outside as I was captivated by the weather. No matter how many times I've seen it, it never fails to get me to stop whatever I'm doing and simply appreciate its beauty.

I went ahead and took a taxi back to the city. As I was riding at the backseat, I softly sang a song as I was excited to be driven under the snow.

 

Jinho : Do you want to build a snowman?... It doesn't have to be a snowman...

 

4 December 2016 (Sunday), 4.30 p.m.

I asked the taxi driver to drop me off at a coffee shop in our vicinity. I realized that going back to the dorm now won't help me enjoy the snow, so I decided to delay it and simply relax at the coffee shop.

I dragged my luggage bag inside and found a vacant couch. I left my bag there and went to the counter to place an order.

 

Jinho : I'd like to order a... hazelnut chocolate.

 

Suddenly, a slightly shorter girl with long black ponytail came standing next to me. She was wearing a red sweater and blue tight jeans.

 

Nayeon : Make that two, please?

 

I turned to my right to see Nayeon. I was surprised, but after looking at her smile, I quickly smiled back.

 

Jinho : Nayeon! Were you here when I came in?

Nayeon : Yes! I saw you walked in and I thought I'd join you for coffee.

 

Hearing those words, I began looking around the coffee shop.

 

Jinho : So, you're alone? None of the girls are with you?

Nayeon : No. I just spent the day with my pare...

 

She didn't finish her sentence. Instead, she gave me a worried look.

 

Jinho : What? Parents? I'm glad. Did you have fun?

 

She was probably worried that mentioning her parents would upset me. I'm glad she was worried about me, but I had to show her that I was fine.

 

Nayeon : Eh? I mean... yes! I had a lot of fun.

Jinho : That's great. Why don't you go ahead and sit by the couch over there? I'll get our drinks.

Nayeon : Then are you paying for my coffee?

Jinho : I mean... you can always buy me coffee next time to call it even.

 

She laughed in response to my idea for compromise. I didn't know why though.

 

Nayeon : Daebak...

Jinho : What is it?

Nayeon : We haven't had our coffee yet and you're already planning for next time.

Jinho : Fine! You don't have to if you don't want to! I guess TWICE is too popular now to have coffee with someone like me.

 

I turned the other way, playfully acting angry. She quickly held the back of my shirt and acted cute, jumping up and down.

 

Nayeon : Don't say that... At least, let me pay for this one! You can buy me coffee next time.

Jinho : All right! Your call.

 

4 December 2016 (Sunday), 5 p.m.

We ended up chatting for a long time. We've been on the same couch, talking about the things that have happened this year.

Some fans spotted us and even took pictures. Me and Nayeon coolly smiled for the pictures. It's not like we were holding hands. I doubt this will turn into a scandal. In my opinion, this is an opportunity for me and her to be good friends.

We also played a few games. The most recent one was 'Muk-jji-ppa'. I lost and Nayeon had decided a punishment for me. She even took out her phone to record my punishment on video.

 

Nayeon : You have to do it!

Jinho : I know that! Just give me a minute! This is so embarrassing...

 

I tried to calm myself by taking a deep breath. Nayeon kept smiling as she was looking forward to what's about to come.

I clenched my fists and placed them by my cheeks. I loosened my wrists in hopes that what I'm about to do will look more natural. Here we go!

Once it was done, I immediately covered my face with my hands. I've never been this embarrassed before. I've playfully done this with the guys, but never in front of a girl, or in public for that matter.

Nayeon laughed as she was more than satisfied with the video she recorded.

 

Nayeon : You were really cute!

Jinho : I hope the video was good, because I'm not doing it again.

Nayeon : I'm going to show this to the girls. They'll definitely like it.

Jinho : Please share it with me. I think our fans would like to see that.
