“It’s good that we are home.” The petite girl jumped out of the car, taking in the fullest content of the humid air into her lungs. It’s almost noon when they left the Jittaleela’s Residence and it was such a relief to Pie when she could finally escape the golden cage. It supposed to delight her that she could at last living her dream life – having a great shelter to live in, had no lack of luxurious things but then she found things were not in their right place. She was terrified with her own dream and yet she was still clueless for the anxiety.

The stinging sun ray of the tropical climate started to invade her every inch of skin. No one would ever bear the heat of almost 40°C but miraculously they survived. “Kim, hurry up! Unlock the door for me. Are you trying to let me be a roasted Pie?” The girl turned around just to find the tom wandering around their yard aimlessly.

            “KIMHAN!” The girl shouted when she got no response from the tom.

            “Hey what’s wrong?” Pie watched how the tom hurriedly made her way to her.

            “Unlock the door and let me get into the house.” Pie growled.

            “I thought you see something else.” Kim murmured softly in between her breath. The next seconds Pie knew the tom gestured her to get into the house.

            “What should I see?” Pie asked instead of making her way straight to her room.

            “It’s nothing.” Kim shrugged innocently.

            “I know that face and the tone of your voice.” Pie stepped forward, closing the distance between them. “You lied to me.”

            “We can see it later.” Kim said and she could tell that Pie’s curiosity arisen in the air. “You don’t want to be a roasted Pie right? Neither do I want that.” She added.

            “If you don’t want tell me, I will figure it out myself.” Pie snapped and in no time she rushed to leave the house.

            “Pie, wait!” Kim ran after her. “Are you sure of what are you looking for?” Kim smirk cracked into a soft chortle.

            “Didn’t I say that I will figure it out? I will figure it out.”

            “Alright, let me take you there.” Kim sighed and at the same time she took out a piece of cloth from her pocket.

            “What is it for?” Pie alarmed.

            “I need to close your eyes. Shall we?” Kim asked but before Pie could even answer her, she has already reached out to blindfold Pie.

            “Do we really have to do this?” Pie seemed disagree with the idea. Kim could mean more harm to her. It was too soon to trust the promises that the tom had said to her.

            “I don’t mean any harm and all you will see for the next moment is your happiness.” Kim assured it to the girl.

            “You made me nervous.” Pie complained. In the mean time she tried to compose herself, her thought wandered around for any probability and possibility for the surprise she would see.

            “You will like it.” Kim said. “And now, hold my hand. I will lead you to the place.”

            “Please don’t take too long. It’s kind of hot now.” Pie complained again with her childish manner.

            “I have told you that we can see it later and now you’re complaining. You are such an impatient girl.” It’s time for Kim to counter their argument about the matter.

            “I hate you Kim.”

            “Why did I heard it as; I love you Kim?” Kim jested.

            “In your dream!” Pie nixed.

            “We are here.” Kim told Pie. “Are you ready for the surprise?”

            “I’m so nervous but yes I am ready.” Pie was excited.

            “I’ll count and after three you can open your eyes.” Kim directed.

            “Alright.”

            “One. Two. Three.” Kim released the blindfold cloth gently.

It took a few seconds for Pie to believe her sight before she turned to Kim and hugged the tom heartily. “Thank you.” That’s the only words she could ever say to the tom. Kim on the other hand was definitely glad to return the hug. She gathered the tiny form of the girl in her arms securely. Pie’s sweet scent was somewhat a fragrance from heaven. She used to smell it every day since the girl came to her life. It was the best cure to her. The best cure that no one has ever known.

            “How did you do that?” Pie asked in disbelief. She released herself from Kim and eagerly stepped into the glasshouse. It stood magnificently before her eyes with all various kinds of plants in it.

            “Kim, how did you do this? The last time I check this glasshouse, it was empty.” Pie queried almost burst into a cry of excessive happiness.

            “It’s magic.” The tom answered short.

            “There’s no magic in this world. Don’t kidding me.” Pie grumbled but she was too occupied with the thrilled feeling rather than to argue with Kim with the magic matter.

            “I have my minions to do the work. They are efficient in every possible way.” The tom said, proud with them.

            “You call your employees minions?” Pie laughed. “They must be cute.”

            “No way! I supposed to be the cutest of all.” Kim pouted and ridiculously Pie caught the reaction.

            “You’re ugly. You have to accept that.” Pie quipped.

            “My handsomeness has never failed to charm any ladies, Pie. You will regret it that I am here right in front of you but you do not appreciate the pleasant view.” Kim said but Pie always found the tom was bragging.

            “Oh look! I see lilies.” Pie made her way to one spotted corner of the glasshouse, obviously trying to ignore Kim’s saying. “They are beautiful, Kim.” The girl beckoned the tom to follow her as well.

            “We have a lot more here. You can tour around.” Kim said and Pie admitted it that they had various kinds of floras in there. The tom was right. The hemisphere glasshouse was quite huge for the limited space they had in their backyard but by any possibilities, Kim managed to fix the glasshouse very well.

            “Wow Kim! We do have hydroponic vegetables?” Pie observed the long object in front of her. It has somewhat a hydro system equipped with weird connections at its base.

            “Yeah, we could save some expenses.” Kim smiled proudly. “Do you think I will build something which would never benefit me in return?”

            “Yeah I know you. Everything comes with a price.” Pie rolled her eyes.

            “I wonder if this glasshouse would turn into a mini jungle.” There the childish, imaginative Pie came to the view.

            “Oh yes Pie if you did not look after it.” Kim locked her gaze to the girl with a warning look.

            “From this day and onward, you are the guardian of this glasshouse. You have to make sure that all the plants are healthy yet none of the pesticides would harm them.” Kim said more to give a command to the girl.

            “How would I do that? I am just a helpless and weak girl. The shovel is even much taller than me.” Pie created her excuses.

            “No excuses sweetheart. All will be done automatically.” Kim said. “All you need to do is set the things rightly and everything will be done by the machine.” Kim led Pie to another corner of the glasshouse. There, Pie saw a medium machinery item and she knew it must be the centre of control for the glasshouse.
