“You’re ready.” (DH) Even when he heard it from Daehyun, Young Jae still wasn’t sure that he was. The test that he has been studying hard for was already around the corner. Uncertainty loomed in the air and it gave Young Jae the feeling that he wasn’t ready yet. Then again, he couldn’t help but have that same feeling each and every time a test showed up. It wasn’t a great feeling, and most people understood, but he wished that there were at least something he could do to get over it. “You’ll do fine.” (DH)

“I’m not so sure about that…” (YJ) Daehyun smiled a bit as he turned his pencil around before poking Young Jae’s nose with the eraser. Young Jae flinched backwards at first, his uncertainty flying out the window for a brief moment. His eyes widened with surprise as he looked at the pencil before looking up at Daehyun. “What was that for?” (YJ)

“To get you over your fears! They say that if you poke someone on the nose with the eraser end of your pencil, they’ll get good luck.” (DH)

“Who said that?!” (YJ)

“Me.” (DH) In that instant, Daehyun couldn’t help but start laughing at himself. His words sounded lame and he wished that he could’ve said something else. However, if it helped Young Jae loosen up even a little bit, then it was definitely worth it. Seeing Young Jae’s expression, however, only ended up making Daehyun laugh even harder.

While Daehyun lost himself, Young Jae could only stare at Daehyun. He was at a complete loss for words, unable to understand Daehyun’s odd superstition. So, instead, Young Jae merely lowered his head and pinched the bridge of his nose as a slight smile graced his lips. “That makes no sense.” (YJ)

“You smiled. Good enough for me!” (DH) Young Jae shook his head, but his smile ended up growing in the process. Daehyun held a grin as he leaned back in his seat, satisfied with the outcome of the situation. The test wasn’t for another two days, so until then, there was no need to be worried about it. As long as Young Jae continued to study every now and then at the very least, then he should do fine. “So, do you wanna do something? Maybe we can go on our first date.” (DH)

“Date? Su- Wait, WHAT?! I, uh…” (YJ) Young Jae’s face turned a deep shade of red as he quickly looked away. Taking in a deep breath, Young Jae tried his best to recompose himself as he slowly lifted his gaze back up towards Daehyun. “When… did you want to go?” (YJ)

“How about now?” (DH) Young Jae pursed his lips as he felt his face and ears begin to heat up. Picking up his cup, Young Jae originally attempted to take a single sip. Instead, that sip turned into downing down the entire drink, leaving nothing behind. Placing the cup back in its original spot, Young Jae let out a somewhat satisfied  sigh before looking around the room in an attempt to avoid meeting Daehyun’s gaze.

“Uh… y-yeah… suuure… We can go on a date now…” (YJ)

“You sure? You’re acting funny now.” (DH)

“Yeeeahh… I’m sure! I uh… where should we go for our date?” (YJ) Daehyun took a moment to think as he quietly hummed to himself. It had to be somewhere affordable, fun, and hopefully somewhere Young Jae hasn’t been to before. Movies weren’t really a great first date since it doesn’t really give them much time to interact with each other. He’d go for the amusement park, but he heard that it was a bad first date. Why, he didn’t know, but he didn’t want to risk it. So… what else would be left?

“I heard the museum opened up a new exhibit. Wanna try that?” (DH) The museum? Now that Young Jae thought about it, the last time he went to the museum was when he was fourteen. Over the years, he’s heard that the museum has expanded, so maybe it would be a good time to check out what they had to offer. He did love art after all, so it wouldn’t hurt.

“Okay… sure! I’d love to go.” (YJ)

“Great! Let’s get ready and I’ll meet you at the front.” (DH) Getting to his feet, Daehyun flashed Young Jae a quick grin before leaving the room. When Daehyun was no longer in his view, Young Jae let out a relieved sigh as he let himself fall backwards. Sadly, since he wasn’t on his bed, Young Jae soon felt a sudden pain crash against his head. Twisting and turning in place, Young Jae held the back of his head and hoped that the throbbing pain would go away soon.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“So… I saw you with Sungjong the other day.” (HC) Well, that wasn’t discrete at all. Yongguk knew that there was something bothering Himchan, but this was definitely the last thing he would have expected. What was he supposed to say? Would any explanation be good enough for Himchan? As he thought about it though, he did wonder why he felt the need to hide any of it. He was being blackmailed and it was as simple as that, but… was it really as simple as it sounded? Maybe his pride was on the line, but since when has he ever cared about his pride? “Well?” (HC)

“I… have to provide him with information…” (BY) Himchan raised a single brow as he adjusted his posture a bit. He half expected Yongguk to give him an excuse, but it seems like he was willing to be honest about it. The main question now was what that information may be about and why he was giving it to Sungjong in the first place.

“So? Tell me more.” (HC) Yongguk let out a small sigh as he leaned back in his seat.

“He’s threatening to do… indecent things to Zelo if I don’t comply. So, until I can come up with something, I have to keep Zelo safe.” (BY) Himchan let out a quiet hum as he leaned against the back of his chair. Folding his arms, he looked down at his drink for a moment as he tried to think of something. Sure, Yongguk hadn’t asked him for help, but that didn’t mean that he wasn’t going to try.

“Can’t you just move Zelo somewhere else?” (HC)

“He’s attending the college here.” (BY)

“What if you drove him the first day he has school and he stays with someone else for the remainder of the week?” (HC) Yongguk thought on Himchan’s idea for a moment as he absentmindedly caressed the edge of the plate with his thumb. It seemed like a good idea. Though, whom would Zelo stay with during that time? It would only end up endangering whomever it is that Zelo is staying with if Sungjong ever found out.

“Who would he stay with?” (BY)

“Uh… Who do you know has constant security?” (HC)

“The only person I know is… Young Jae. You think he’ll… go for it?” (BY)

“Why not? He’s a nice enough guy. He let Daehyun and Jongup stay with him, right?” (HC)

“That’s true…” (BY) It wouldn’t hurt to at least ask, right?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“So… How do we date?” (YJ)

“Huh?” (DH) Daehyun looked at Young Jae, trying to see if he had heard Young Jae correctly. Did he really not know how dates worked? Then… did that mean that Young Jae hadn’t gone on a date before? Well, it was clear that he hadn't gone on a date before since he had asked, but for some reason, he wanted to confirm it in his mind. It was a little hard to believe, considering how many contacts Young Jae probably had. There had to of been at least one person he had dated before. He hadn’t even gone on a date with Tiffany before? Well, Daehyun decided to have a little fun with it. “Ah! ?” (DH)

“T-That’s none of your concern!” (YJ) Young Jae’s face was a deep shade of red, but he was trying to stay as calm as possible. Just because he had asked one question didn’t mean that was he was . Okay, so he is definitely a , but he wasn’t about to tell Daehyun that! Especially not after how much of a big deal Daehyun seemed to have made it out to be.

“Eh? I’ll just ask later when you’re more comfortable.” (DH) Daehyun grinned happily as he put his hands behind his head and leaned back a bit. Young Jae stared at Daehyun, dumbfounded by how happy he seemed to be. Was that really something to be happy about though? Sometimes he wondered just how different Daehyun has become and other times, he can see that Daehyun hasn’t really changed much.

“Let’s... just start the date…” (YJ)

“Great! I’ll get the tickets and you uh… be you!” (DH) Daehyun gave a quick thumbs up before jogging off towards the front desk. Young Jae rubbed the back of his head, a bit confused how he was supposed to just ‘be himself’ while standing around. With a mere shrug, Young Jae stuffed his hands into his blazer’s pockets as he waited patiently for Daehyun to return.

Meanwhile, over at the front desk, Daehyun held a goofy grin on his face as he stood talking to the person tending to the admissions. Unknown to Young Jae, a good friend of theirs just so happened to be working at the museum as a part timer. “You think Young Jae’ll like this bouquet?” (DH)

“He’ll love it. You two have been looking forward to going on a date for a while now. I'm sure he'll enjoy whatever you give him.” (SH) Daehyun nodded, though he couldn’t help but feel the butterflies fluttering around in his stomach. In all honesty, Daehyun almost wanted to run away to avoid embarrassment, but his… attraction… for Young Jae was keeping him there. He wanted to learn more about Young Jae, to get closer and see if he was truly the man that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. Of course, he wasn’t going to just flat out admit that that was his intentions. Best not to scare Young Jae away after waiting so long just to go on a date with him. “Hey! You shouldn’t keep Young Jae waiting.” (SH)

“Ah! Right, right!” (DH) Daehyun carefully picked up the bouquet and cradled it with one arm before picking up the two tickets from Seohyun. With a quick smile, Daehyun bowed his head a bit before turning and rushing back over to where he had left Young Jae. Hopefully Young Jae hadn’t tried to see what was taking him so long to get the tickets.

To his luck, Young Jae was still standing where he had left him. Not only that, but Young Jae was looking in the opposite direction. That was perfect! That meant that these flowers would be an even bigger surprise for Young Jae. A large grin couldn’t help but make its appearance on his face as Daehyun picked up his pace. Once he was close enough, Daehyun cleared his throat loudly to gain Young Jae’s attention. “Oh, you’re ba- Wha-… What’s this?” (YJ)

Young Jae had been trying to get a sneak peek of what the museum had to offer while Daehyun went to get the tickets. Once Daehyun had returned, Young Jae turned around only to find his vision met with a bouquet of flowers. He saw a bit of Daehyun, but the flowers had been raised up to eye level. “These are for you. I uh… I heard that you may or may not like this kind of flower.” (DH)

A small smile crossed his face as he reached up and took the bouquet from Daehyun’s hands. Whether Daehyun remembered or not, Young Jae was still pleasantly surprised by the flowers that he had picked out. It was the same kind of flower that he had given Daehyun all those years ago, but then again… he did see that same kind of bouquet a few months back. “Well… your hearing seems to be correct.” (YJ)

As Young Jae now cradled the flowers in his arms, Daehyun couldn’t help but grin. Yes, Young Jae was now forced to carry flowers around with him during the entire date, but at least he liked the flowers. Since the gift giving part went well, Daehyun just had to worry about the date itself now. If that went well, then there would be a good chance for a second date. That’s how it usually went… right? “So, let’s get going! I got the tickets.” (DH)

“And here I thought you only bought flowers.” (YJ) Young Jae chuckled a bit as the two made their way towards the person handling the tickets. It felt like Daehyun already had the date planned out, which impressed Young Jae. Of course, he also felt like he had to step up his game as well. If they were still kids, he most likely would’ve been fine with letting Daehyun do everything, but he wanted to surprise Daehyun in return. How, though, was a different story.

Once they were let in, the first thing they saw was artwork that had been submitted for a competition. There were some people looking at the artwork already, but it seemed like the judging process had long since passed. Out of pure curiosity, Young Jae couldn’t help but make his way over to see what each piece had to offer. Daehyun followed soon afterward, a smile never leaving his face as he stuck his hands into his pockets.

With each piece they looked at, Young Jae took his time to examine it thoroughly. Everything just seemed to speak out to him, almost as if he could hear exactly what the artist wanted to portray. Being here reminded him of how he used to love drawing or painting, but it also reminded him that he wasn’t allowed to pursue a career as an artist. It made him a little sad, but… being surrounded by art once again just seemed to push that sadness away.

“Which one is your favorite?” (DH)

“Huh? Oh… uh…” (YJ) He looked from one art piece to another, but no matter how much he tried to judge it, he just couldn’t decide on one specific one. They each had a different style to them, making each art piece unique in its own way. “I can’t decide… I like them all.” (YJ)

“Why?” (DH) Young Jae took a moment to think before responding.

“They’re all different in their own way, that’s for sure. For example, this one over here was done with oil paints while this one over here was done with contour. Then, there’s also the composition of each piece. This one is focused on this person. You can tell because although there are other people in the painting, everything manages to pull your attention towards this specific person to tell its story. Then there’s this one. It’s not realistic whatsoever, but the way it was created can tell a different story. Everything has its meaning and… I can’t choose which one would truly be my favorite.” (YJ)

“Wow… You know a lot about art. How come you didn’t become a museum curator or… something?” (DH) Young Jae thought on the reason, but he hesitated on giving it. It was true that his father had driven him away from the art path, but he never thought about becoming a curator. Whatever the reason may be, it was in the past now. So, he merely shrugged as he turned to look at Daehyun.

“Let’s go to the next area.” (YJ)

“Okay?” (DH) He was a little confused, but Daehyun assumed that Young Jae just didn’t want to talk about it or he just didn’t think about the possibility. There were far too many reasons for Young Jae avoiding the question, but it was probably best not to think too much about it.

As they looked through each art piece, Young Jae couldn’t help but feel inspired to start up his art once more. Sure, he couldn’t pursue it on a professional level, but at least it would be nice to have it as a hobby of sorts. It would have been nice if he had the time to paint though. “Hey, look at this one!” (DH)

Turning his gaze away from the painting in front of him, his eyes landed on Daehyun, whom was currently waving his arms in an attempt to get his attention. When it succeeded, Daehyun grinned widely as he motioned for Young Jae to come to him. Young Jae raised a single brow as curiosity coursed through his veins. What could possibly have Daehyun so worked up? Well, whatever it was, he probably needed to head over there quickly before they ended up attracting too much attention to themselves.

Clearing his throat, Young Jae adjusted his tie as he quickly began making his way over to Daehyun. With mere glances here and there, he could see that there were a few people that were staring in Daehyun’s direction. Luckily, it wasn’t long before Daehyun disappeared back into the room he had come from. With a relieved sigh, Young Jae followed after Daehyun before finding himself being blinded by a rather colorful light. Using his hand to try and shield his eyes, Young Jae attempted to look at whatever it was that Daehyun was trying to show him. “So? What do you think?” (DH)

Moving off to where the sun wasn’t blinding him, Young Jae finally had a good look at the piece of art before him. It wasn’t exactly what he had expected, but it was definitely something not to overlook. In front of him was a carefully crafted window with four different sections. Each section, although it looked like one location altogether, represented a different season. There were vibrant colors that seemed to compliment the darker shades, emulating a sort of peaceful feel on one side, while the other side felt cold and distant. It was interesting to see the changes in seasons through sections of the same location.

“Well?” (DH) Young Jae looked to his right, allowing him the chance to finally realize that Daehyun had moved in rather closely. He could’ve sworn that he could feel Daehyun practically breathing on him, but he was certain that Daehyun wasn’t that close. Maybe it was the air conditioning. He did notice, however, that Daehyun had a look of curiosity on his face. Were his thoughts really that interesting?

“It tells a story… to me, anyway. Sometimes, seasons represent a person’s life. Look how soft summer and spring were painted. It's light and feels welcoming, but when you look at autumn and winter, it feels more like a person’s hardship. It feels dreary, almost like there’s no hope, but… the light says otherwise.” (YJ) Young Jae folded his arms as he shifted his position. It was made out of glass, allowing for natural light to shine through it. Regardless of whatever the artist was feeling, the sunshine must have represented hope.

“Wow. You got all of that from one look? I just thought it was pretty…” (DH) Young Jae looked at Daehyun, whom was now looking at the artwork with a bit more concentration. It was understandable that there would be different views on the piece. For all they knew, the artist or the group of people that had worked on this piece could have just made it for fun.

“Hey. I’m hungry. Let’s go eat, yeah?” (YJ)

“Eat? Sure! I remember passing a food court earlier. Let’s head there.” (DH) With one last look at the artwork around them, the two soon began retracing their steps. Every now and then, Daehyun would glance over at Young Jae before quickly looking away and smiling. He wanted to hold Young Jae’s hand and if they were kids again, he probably would have, but he was a bit embarrassed to do it at that time. Hopefully, he’ll gather the courage necessary to at least do that.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So far, the date was turning out better than he expected. Okay, so he didn’t have any expectations for the date, but it was pretty good. Though, because of how well it was going, Young Jae was starting to become quite curious about how the rest of the date will go. Would Daehyun even tell him what was on the agenda or would it continue to be a secret? “What else do you have up your sleeve?” (YJ)

“Oh… Nothing.” (DH) Well, at least he could say that he at least attempted to find out. Still, it was a bit suspicious that he went with that kind of answer. Did he really have nothing up his sleeve or was he just trying not to spoil it? It was only around one in the afternoon, so there were still plenty of things that they could still do. They haven’t even held hands yet, so maybe the next activity they do could involve that. “Are you done? Let’s get going.” (DH)

“Huh? Oh, uh… I’m almost done.” (YJ)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After leaving the museum, the two had decided to talk a small walk through the city. Well, it was more like Daehyun suggesting the idea and then making them go along with it, but Young Jae didn’t mind. Yongguk was following close-by, so if anything happened, he’d at least be there to stop it.  Actually, Yongguk had been following them the entire time so in a way, he was technically their chaperone. Young Jae would’ve told Daehyun about it, but Yongguk had made him swear not to say anything. Something about it making the date awkward or… something along those lines. “So… Is there anywhere specific you’d like to go?” (DH)

“Why? You’re not going to show me what else you have planned?” (YJ) Daehyun chuckled a little bit as he leaned back slightly before looking at Young Jae with his usual grin. Young Jae didn’t like the secrets that Daehyun was hiding, but it’s not like he was going to be able to get anything out of him. “Well?” (YJ)

“You’ll see. Come on.” (DH) Taking a hold of Young Jae’s hand, Daehyun began to take the lead. Looking down at their hands, Young Jae stared for a brief moment before an embarrassed smile came onto his face. A few seconds later, Young Jae quickly fought down his smile as he tried to hold his composure. He was excited, sure, but he didn’t want to make it blatantly obvious that he was.

After making their way back to the garage and getting into the car, Young Jae waited patiently as he began mentally guessing as to where they were heading. The beach couldn’t have been an option, right? It was already past noon and they probably wouldn’t have been able to get the most out of it. What about the amusement park? No, it was much too late as well. There would be a lot of people there and as nice as it was to go to one, Young Jae was fairly certain that Daehyun probably couldn’t deal with large crowds. That was part of the list for claustrophobia, right? He couldn’t remember at that moment, but he was certain of it.

So what else was there?

It took about ten or so minutes, but it didn’t take long for Young Jae’s curiosity to be sated. Upon entering the parking lot, Young Jae looked up at the large building. He had been here maybe twice in his lifetime, but he knew exactly where this was. Why they were here, however, he didn’t know. “Is this a good place for a date?” (YJ)

“Why not? Window shopping isn’t too bad.” (DH) Window-shopping? Young Jae’s heard the term before, but he wasn’t entirely certain as to what it was. Were they literally shopping for windows? If so, then he had to question where Daehyun planned to get the money for it. Otherwise, he didn’t really know what Daehyun had planned.

Once they were parked and out of the car, Young Jae couldn’t help but continue to scan the area. He had grown accustomed to seeing if a place was a prime place to set up a business and so far, the mall was obviously a good place for one. What kind of business, however, was a different story for a different day. For now, he’d have to see why Daehyun decided to bring him here.

Entering the mall, Young Jae noticed that there was definitely a good amount of people around. Would this be too crowded for Daehyun or would he be okay? Looking at Daehyun, he could see that the man had already begun walking ahead as if nothing was wrong. Maybe his fears stemmed from the dark tied in with cramped spaces. With a small shrug, Young Jae quickly followed after him before managing to match Daehyun’s strides. “Where are we headed?” (YJ)

“Over there! I want a cinnamon pretzel.” (DH) Looking over to where Daehyun was pointing at, he could see a food booth at a nearby corner. Would it be considered a booth, a stall, or just blatantly its own store? Regardless, it seemed like there weren’t many people buying food from there. Then again, it was a few hours after lunchtime, so it may be surprising to see a lot of people gathered around for food. “Want one?” (DH)

“How big is it?” (YJ)

“It’s pretty big. Have you had one before?” (DH)

“No. Is it good?” (YJ)

“Yeah, I think it’s good and it’s big enough to be pretty filling. If you want, you can try mine first.” (DH) Young Jae thought on it for a moment before nodding. He wasn’t all that hungry to begin with, but if it’s just for a small snack, it shouldn’t hurt to try a little bit. Who knows? He might end up wanting more if he ended up enjoying it. “Great!” (DH)

Taking a hold of Young Jae’s hand once more, Daehyun led him over to the pretzels before standing at the end of the line. As Young Jae stared up at the menu, Daehyun couldn’t help but eye the food that was currently on display. It was as if the food was constantly calling out to him like a siren luring in the sailors to their deaths. Of course… Daehyun was smart enough not to overeat, but he couldn’t help but salivate a little bit from just staring at the delicious treats.

Once it was their turn to order, Young Jae had a better chance to look at the food as Daehyun spoke. It all seemed to be rather delectable, but he wasn’t certain how he’d end up liking it. This would be considered fast food, would it not? His parents had made a point for him to avoid eating unhealthy and thus, he’s only ever eaten either home cooked meals or at restaurants that he knew would be able to cook the way his parents would approve. This, however, didn’t seem to be all that healthy whatsoever, but he couldn’t say no now. His curiosity outweighed his cautiousness and it was probably best if he at least had one bite.

“Hey. Try it.” (DH)

“Huh?” (YJ) Pulling himself out of his thoughts, Young Jae looked up at Daehyun to see some sort of lightish brown pastry covered in what looked like cinnamon being held in front of him. Instead of being in the usual pretzel shape that he had grown accustomed to, it looked more like two pieces of toothbrush sized sticks being wrapped around one another. Judging by the appearance alone, the pastry did seem to be relatively soft and… messy to eat. “I don’t… have to touch that, do I…?” (YJ)

“Ah… uh… I’ll feed you. Say ahhhhh ~” (DH)

“Ah…?” (YJ) For some reason, it didn’t cross Young Jae’s mind that Daehyun would actually feed him. He assumed that Daehyun had been playing a joke on him and was just making a fool out of him. However, the second he felt something soft yet firm slide past his lips and into his mouth, his eyes widened, as he looked at Daehyun. Daehyun seemed to be really focusing on what he was doing, but the smile on his face also indicated that he was enjoying it as well.

The second the pretzel seemed to be deep enough, Daehyun came to a stop as he looked up at Young Jae. He waited for Young Jae to take a bite out of the pretzel, but they just ended up staring at one another. It was slowly becoming awkward and Daehyun wanted to end it before people began wondering what they were doing. “Uh… aren’t you going to bite?” (DH)

“Mm? Mm!” (YJ) Realizing that he was still staring, Young Jae quickly took a bite out of the pretzel before taking a step back. Was it bad that his thoughts had turned dirty rather quickly? If it weren’t for the fact that this pretzel had a really strong and surprisingly delicious sweet taste, it probably would’ve been difficult for him to distract himself from any unwanted… stiffness.

“So? How is it? Good, right?” (DH) He was about to respond, but all words flew out the window as he watched Daehyun take a bite out of the same pretzel that he had just bitten a few seconds ago. Did Daehyun not know that it was completely unsanitary to be sharing food like that?! Not only that, but would that be considered an indirect kiss as well?! Maybe he’s watched a little too many drama’s on television, but he could’ve sworn that counted as one! Or was it with a drink? He couldn’t really be certain. Regardless, his reaction seemed to be blatantly obvious as Daehyun now had a confused look on his face. “What’s wrong? It wasn’t good?” (DH)

“What? Oh! Uh… It was delectable. I quite enjoyed it, but uh… do you know that it’s unsanitary to be sharing food like that? What if I was sick?” (YJ) Daehyun looked down at the pretzel in his hand before looking back up at Young Jae. While Daehyun normally wouldn’t share his food with complete strangers, he didn’t mind if it was Jongup or Young Jae. So, as if he hadn’t heard Young Jae’s words, Daehyun popped the rest of the pretzel into his mouth before happily chewing away. “H-Hey! Did you even hear me?” (YJ)

“Mm. I don’t mind if it’s you, though.” (DH) Young Jae would’ve said something, but he found himself a bit speechless. It was both a nice and a bothersome thing for Daehyun to say. What if he had been poisoned? Would Daehyun still eat the same thing? Well, for the time being, Young Jae decided that it was best not to think of the worst-case scenario.

“I… guess it’s fine then… Let’s uh… Let’s just get going.” (YJ) As Daehyun led the way, Young Jae couldn’t help but begin eyeing the cup of cinnamon pretzels. Though, would they truly be called pretzels? Wouldn’t cinnamon twists better suit the delectable pastry since that’s what they essentially were? All of this focus on the name forced Young Jae to be caught off guard as he felt said cinnamon pretzel being pressed up against his lips. Throwing his head back, his eyes widened with surprise as he stared at a grinning Daehyun.

“You looked like you really wanted one.” (DH) Just as Daehyun was about to take a bite out of it, Young Jae took hold of Daehyun’s hand and pulled the cinnamon pretzel back towards him before taking a huge bite out of it. Pulling a napkin out from between Daehyun and the cup’s grasp, he dabbed at his lips as he made sure to avert his gaze away from Daehyun. He felt a bit embarrassed that he had just done that, but in all honesty, he did want one. “Woah. You’re hungrier than I thought.” (DH)

“No… I just… wanted another bite.” (YJ)

“Well, what store do you want to check out first?” (DH)

“Hm?” (YJ) Young Jae looked around at the stores in their general vicinity before looking at Daehyun. “I thought we were window shopping.” (YJ)

“We are! Just wanted to see if you wanted to look at a certain store first.” (DH) Young Jae merely shook his head. He only shopped at specific stores and he doubted that the mall held any of those stores. Plus, he didn’t really feel like getting any more clothes for the time being. There wasn’t a specific event to shop for, so he saw no point in expanding his already vast wardrobe. “Well, all right.” (DH)

As they walked around, they would stop in front of a store that seemed to catch their interest. Sometimes they would go in to see what else the store had to offer, but otherwise, they would just pass by it. After a while, Young Jae had managed to figure out that ‘window shopping’ didn’t actually involve buying windows. When he realized this, he couldn’t help but feel relieved that he hadn’t asked Daehyun what it was earlier. As silly as the concept may have been, oddly enough, Young Jae was having fun just being able to spend time like this with Daehyun.

“So, um… what should we do now?” (YJ) Daehyun opened his mouth to say something, but he quickly shut it, as nothing seemed to come to mind. He had hoped to make their first date interesting, but this was pretty much the extent of how much he had laid out for them.

“Uh… We co- Oh! Look. Donuts. Let’s go get some.” (DH) As Daehyun made his way over to the donut stall, Young Jae only had one thing on his mind: food, again? He may not be the sharpest tool in the bunch, but he knew when people were trying to hide something. As he quietly hummed to himself, Young Jae followed after Daehyun as he watched the other man buy about a dozen donuts. Either Daehyun was really hungry, or he was really trying to buy time. One way or another, Young Jae wasn’t going to fall for it.

“You were saying?” (YJ)

“Huh? Oh, uh…” (DH) There was no point in hiding it. He might as well just come clean now and pretty much say that the date was over. A date didn’t have to last all day, right? As long as they did something and it was fun, then that’s all that should matter. Taking in a calm breath, Daehyun turned to Young Jae and grinned. “That’s all for our date! I, uh… can’t come up with anything else. But you calmed down, right?” (DH)

Calmed down? What did he me- Oh… right. He had completely forgotten that his exams were coming up. Well, maybe this date really was what he needed. After having an awkward battle within himself earlier about whether he should attempt to be with Daehyun or not, he couldn’t help but feel foolish for ever turning his back on his feelings. “Okay. Then let’s go home. I’m a little tired.” (YJ)

“Okay.” (DH)

Chapter 48: I swear this is like one of the best fanfic I have ever read. The childhood part was really interesting and nicely done, I wish you would detail some scenes but that's okay. And now... I don't know where you are going with this but I feel so excited. I am sad for Jin though because for the first time, he found someone important and yet, he lost it. That's so cruel you know. R. I. P Taehyung ~ ;-; Kyungsoo is a freaking bastard, hope he would end up in prison. Seungjong too! Feels like you are plotting something with him haha! Especially since he didn't get his revenge. Damn.... Daehyun will get to suffer again. X) about DaeJae, I love how slow you are making it. That's frustrating and sweet at the same time. And BangHim gosh, I want them to be together officially. But each time something interrupt them. X) is their couple going to be part of your plot or is it not that important? That's funny because I thought from the childhood that Himchan would have ended up with Sunny ~ By the way, that's been a long time we haven't seen her, is she going to make a cameo haha?
I also found it funny how Zelo and Jongup didn't like each other and how dependant Junhong seems to be towards Jongup when they both grew up haha! I actually laughed a lot when they bickered back then and now Junhong likes his hyung haha! Funny ~ Anyway I'm just going to end this review because I spent the last four nights reading these 48 chapters, I feel like I'm not making any sense anymore haha! Well, fighting for the next chapter, I am kind of excited to read it now! Fighting!!!!
