The house that they all currently lived in was much easier to live in than they had anticipated. Sure, they couldn’t leave unless they absolutely had to, but the Internet was much better than anything any of them had. Okay, so they couldn’t log into the things that they usually did like Acebook or Witter, but that didn’t mean that they couldn’t do something else with this Internet access. Plus, they had been given enough money to keep their food stocked for months if it came to that. Sadly, it still got quite boring just lounging around in the house.

“Jonguuuuup?” (Z) Zelo’s life practically revolved around his phone and without his phone, all he had was his computer. What happens when he can’t login to the usual things he loved to do? Well, boredom kicked in and when that happens, the only thing that can cure it was by occupying his time through doing something with another person.

Turning onto his back, Zelo continued to stare at the laptop he had been given before realizing that he had yet to hear a response from the person he had just called out to. Zelo turned his head, staring at the doorway as he decided to give Jongup a few more seconds. When it was becoming evident that Jongup wasn’t going to be entering the room, Zelo let out a small whine as he kicked his feet in the air. Turning his body fully to the right, Zelo swung his feet onto the ground before standing up with a grumpy look on his face.

Joooonnngguuuuuppp!” (Z) Zelo slid his feet forward, pouting as he continued to wait for Jongup to make his appearance. Oddly enough, there still wasn’t any response. Something felt suspicious and Zelo didn’t like this, but all he had to do was wait until he found Jongup. When that happens, then he can see whether his suspicious feelings were true or not.

Peeking his head out from the doorway, he looked around for a moment before stepping out of the room, walking around the railing and making his way downstairs. He was hoping to get Jongup to get him food, but it became quite evident that he was going to have to obtain his food himself. Of course, that can wait until after he found out what Jongup was doing!

Stepping onto the ground floor, Zelo looked around for another moment. In the living room, Baekhyun and Jongin were currently watching television. He didn’t know if Baekhyun was still awake, but it seemed like Jongin had fallen asleep. Of course, he didn’t really care about what they were doing right now. Since it was somewhat clear that Jongup wasn’t in the living room, or at least in the area that he could see, then he had little to no interest for that room.

Peeking from behind the corner, Zelo looked into the kitchen. He could see that Jin was currently preparing something and as interested in food as he was, Zelo could see that Jongup wasn’t in here either. So, that left the dining room and the den, but why would Jongup be in either of those places? Sure, he could check to see if Jongup was in the bathroom, but he was far too lazy to do so.

Yet, Zelo was determined to find Jongup.

Walking down the hallway, Zelo paused for a moment as he looked to his left first to see if Jongup was in the dining room. When there was no sign of life there, Zelo turned his head to the right to look into the den. A disappointed sigh escaped his lips as he slowly made his way towards the backdoor. This house was nice, but it wasn’t exactly big enough for him not to find Jongup. Did that mean he was in one of the bathrooms? Maybe he was outside.

Moving the curtains a bit, Zelo looked out the window merely just to make sure that Jongup really wasn't outside. His eyes wandered for a moment before quickly honing in on the back of a familiar person. A grin spread across his face as he quickly opened the door and made his way down the porch steps before running towards him. “JONGUP!” (Z)

Jongup turned around, a look of curiosity on his face as he stared at Zelo. It took him a moment, but when it became evident that Zelo wasn’t going to be slowing down, Jongup’s eyes widened as he took a step back. However, instead of getting out of the way, Jongup quickly found himself taking the full brunt of Zelo’s tackle. The wind was practically knocked out of him as the two fell to the ground rather roughly. Luckily, it was dirt and grass underneath them, otherwise it may have been much worse for them.

“Why are you out here?! I’ve been calling for you!” (Z) Zelo waited for an answer, but Jongup seemed to be a little hesitant to tell him. Furrowing his eyebrows, Zelo sat up before making sure that he had Jongup completely pinned down to the ground. “Tell meeeee~!” (Z)

“I, uh… I saw a bird’s nest up there and I was helping the baby back into the nest.” (JU) Zelo lifted his head and looked up into the branches above them. At first, he didn’t see anything, which only added to his skepticism. After all, it was far too early for the birds to be back in this area already. However, once he heard the chirping sounds, his eyes honed in on a little nest hidden away in the corner of a tree. Inside of it was a little baby bird sticking its head out from behind the edge of the nest.

“Oh…” (Z) Looking down at Jongup, he stared for a moment before his face began turning red. Quickly turning his gaze, Zelo cleared his throat before moving off of Jongup and getting up to his feet. “Uh… well… okay! You saved a baby bird, so can you get me food now?” (Z)

“Oh… okay! What kind of food do you want?” (JU) While Zelo took a moment to think about that, Jongup pushed himself up to his feet before dusting himself off. He didn’t quite understand why Zelo looked for him when Zelo could’ve gotten his own food by now. Of course, Jongup didn’t really mind. He was feeling a bit hungry too, so eating with Zelo would be nice.

“I want… anything yummy! Come on.” (Z) Taking hold of Jongup’s wrist, Zelo turned before he began pulling Jongup back towards the house. Jongup nearly tripped over his own feet from the sudden movement, but he managed to catch himself. He couldn’t help but smile as he looked around for a moment.

“Dad… mom… I don’t want to marry Young Jae anymore.” (TF) Whatever her dad was doing instantly came to a stop as he looked up from his papers to stare at his daughter. His wife had been busy helping with the latest project right next to him, so feeling two pairs of eyes on her only made her feel that much more nervous.

“Why? You agreed to this beforehand.”

“I… I thought on it a little more and I decided that I want to fall in love not… force love from someone else.” (TF) Tiffany’s father let out a heavy sigh as he sat back in his seat. Tiffany could see her father rolling her words around in his head, most likely attempting to see the pros and cons of this predicament. Her father was always like this, however, unlike Young Jae’s father, Tiffany knew that her father would put her happiness above all else. Being an only child, both of her parents always wanted the best for her.

“Are you sure about this? You don’t like Young Jae?”

“I do! Just not… as a husband. He’s a very good friend and… I don’t want to take his happiness away.” (TF) Her father narrowed his eyelids as Tiffany watched his eyes seemingly look around for answers. Well, that’s what she assumed he was doing. “Please, father. Isn’t there another way for you to handle this business deal without an arranged marriage?” (TF)

“Let me think on it for now. Leave me with your mother.” Tiffany gave a slight bow before turning on her heels and making her way out of the room. Closing the door behind her, she began walking down the hallway with a sort of nervous smile on her face. She had high hopes that her parents would go through with it, but there was always that slight chance where her hopes would end up not coming true. Still, what’s done was done and all she could do now was wait for the end result.

Pulling out her phone, Tiffany unlocked it before she began scrolling through her contacts. Now that phase one was complete, all they had to do now was get Young Jae’s mother to understand the situation. Of course, the one to tell her had to be Young Jae, but maybe it would be best to wait until her parents had come to a decision.

As she scrolled down to where Young Jae's name was, she paused for a moment as she stared at the text on her screen. In a way, Tiffany was jealous of Young Jae. Sure, the predicament he was in was rather… difficult to get out of, but he at least found someone that he may truly love. After all, if he was willing to fight for just a small chance to be with someone, it could be considered true love. Would she be able to find someone like that too?

“…-lo?” Tiffany jumped at the sound of a voice that seemed to be calling out to someone. When her eyes focused in on her phone’s screen yet again, her eyes widened the second she realized that she had unintentionally called Young Jae. Quickly clearing , Tiffany smiled as she put her phone up to her ear.

“Hey Young Jae!” (TF)

If anyone else was in this situation, they probably wouldn’t notice anything. However, Taehyung was acting weird and Kyungsoo knew it. Something was telling him constantly that Taehyung was hiding something and Kyungsoo didn’t like this at all. Taehyung is SUPPOSED to be his most TRUSTED employee, not some back stabbing bastard who thinks they can out maneuver their boss. Fine. He could be completely crazy and believe something that wasn’t actually happening, but Kyungsoo wasn’t going to risk it. He needed to find out what Taehyung was hiding as soon as possible, otherwise, he was going to go crazy not knowing whether this feeling was right or not.

“Taehyung… If you’re hiding something… your days are numbered… Hehe…” (DO) Kyungsoo turned the knife in his hand a few times, his eyes never leaving the picture of Taehyung that he had tacked onto his wall. There were four knives already sticking out around the picture as well as a number of holes that indicated how many times a knife has pierced through the walls. The holes themselves showed that the person was either bad at throwing knives or was tactfully avoiding the photo on purpose, which Kyungsoo was doing… until he threw the knife that had been in his hand just mere seconds ago.

The knife hit its mark directly in the center, piercing the photo with little to no resistance. A small chuckle escaped Kyungsoo’s lips as he ran his hand through his hair before turning around and making his way towards the door. Today was going to be a special day. Why? Well…

It was Taehyung's day off.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Peeking his head through the door, Young Jae made certain that there was no one around before making his way out of his room. In all honesty, he should’ve spoken to his mother much sooner, but he had ended up waiting until Tiffany had spoken to her parents to do so. Why? Well, he didn’t really know. Maybe he was nervous, maybe he was scared to know what their response would be, but either way, if he truly wanted this, he had to get it done.

“Move out of my way, Young Jae.” (DO) Young Jae paused for a moment before turning around to see Kyungsoo now standing directly in front of him. When had he gotten there? Okay, sure, his room was right around the corner, but Young Jae was certain that he hadn’t heard a door open or close within the few seconds that he’s been out here. Though, now that he thought about it, Kyungsoo was rarely the type to order him to move out of the way. Usually, he would make fun of him in some sort of way before walking off.

“What’s with you?” (YJ)

“This is all your fault, you know? If you hadn’t been adopted, none of your friends would have gone missing. You know that, right?” (DO) Young Jae furrowed his eyebrows a bit as he tried to make sense of what Kyungsoo was saying. Why would his adoption have any correlation with his friend’s disappearance? Of course, if Kyungsoo were saying what Young Jae thought he was saying, then… he would know where the correlation is.

“What did you do with them?” (YJ)

“HAH! ME?!” (DO) Kyungsoo began laughing, but it seemed more forced than anything. The laughter soon came to an abrupt stop as he grabbed Young Jae’s collar and roughly pulled him closer. Young Jae could see the clear anger in his eyes as Kyungsoo shook him up a bit. “I… did nothing. Learn your ing place and listen to your… BIG… brother. Or… I might have to punish you.” (DO)

Kyungsoo then shoved Young Jae, causing him to stumble a bit before falling over. Taking a few steps closer to Young Jae, Kyungsoo crouched down as he tilted his head a bit to the left. “Remember, Yongguk isn’t going to always be there to save you and… as for your little boyfriend, I already told mom and dad about him. Now you don’t have to sneak around to get some in you.” (DO)

Young Jae’s eyes widened as he saw the smug look on Kyungsoo’s face. Mixed emotions were surging through Young Jae, but one specific emotion was ready to burst out. Unexpectedly, Young Jae kicked Kyungsoo onto his back before pushing himself forward and pinning his older brother down. With one hand, he roughly grabbed Kyungsoo’s collar before pulling him up and knocking him back down. “You did WHAT?!” (YJ)

“Heh… Does that get your blood boiling? Does it make you angry knowing that at any moment, our parents could disown their precious little angel? Tch… you’re such a weakling.” (DO) Kyungsoo chuckled a bit, which only seemed to infuriate Young Jae even more. Gritting his teeth, he was about to throw a punch at Kyungsoo, but something was keeping him from doing so. Turning his head upwards, he was about to yell at the person holding him back, but his gaze instantly softened as he saw Daehyun staring down at him.

Young Jae attempted to pull his wrist out of Daehyun’s grasp, but Daehyun merely shook his head. As much as he wanted to not follow Daehyun’s suggestion, Young Jae let out a small sigh as his whole body seemed to relax. As Young Jae begun to stand up, a laugh quickly turned both of their attention back towards the ground. “Seriously?! Do you think I’m pathetic enough to be given mercy?! ing cowards!” (DO)

Just as Kyungsoo swung his leg upwards, Daehyun quickly pulled Young Jae away, minimizing the damage that could have occurred had it made full on contact with a certain… sensitive area. He may have been in constant fights when he was younger, but having these reflexes honed through these fights are what kept him alive this entire time. “You need a check on that personality of yours.” (DH)

“Tch… Boring scrubs.” (DO) Pushing himself up to his feet, Kyungsoo dusted himself off and straightened out his clothes before turning towards the two. Placing his hands into his pockets, he scoffed as he turned his head away. “I’m busy. Get out of my way.” (DO)

When it was clear that they weren’t going to move, Kyungsoo let out an annoyed groan before pushing past between the two. Daehyun let out a small sigh as he rubbed the back of his head and placed his hand on his hip. “Why does he treat you like that?” (DH)

“It’s because… he wants to be an only child. All the attention on him and none of it to share. He’s never liked me ever since I came, but...” (YJ) Young Jae folded his arms as his thoughts went back to what Kyungsoo said earlier. It was bothering him, but he doubted that Kyungsoo would tell him anything else.

“Come on. Let’s get something to eat.” (DH)

“… I’m not hungry. I have a few things to do first.” (YJ) Young Jae looked at Daehyun for a moment before placing his hand on his shoulder. Clearing his throat, Young Jae took a step closer before pausing. “Can you… wait in your room until I finish everything?” (YJ)

“Hm? Oh… uh… okay.” (DH) With a simple smile, Daehyun reached up and gave Young Jae’s hand a firm squeeze before walking off. Young Jae let out a small sigh as he looked back in the direction that Kyungsoo had walked off to. If what Kyungsoo said was true, then he was going to have to deal with his parents as soon as possible. There was no telling what his father might do.

Waves delicately crashed against the cliff walls, creating a rather calming atmosphere for the time being. With all that’s happened, Jin couldn’t help but feel as though he needed some time to think, or even forget, about everything. It just felt nice to not have to worry about so many things at once and to just… get away from it all. Sure, his family was worried about him and he was probably fired from his job by now, but that was okay. Just being at such a nice place made it much more worth the trouble.

“You’re not gonna jump… right?” (V) Jin chuckled a bit as he shook his head. He could barely hear the sounds of footsteps approaching before coming to a stop to his left. Taking in a deep breath, Jin smiled as he kept his gaze out towards the ocean. Taehyung looked at Jin, curiosity and a bit of confusion crossing through him as he tried to figure out Jin’s expression. “Why are you smiling?” (V)

“It’s nice… being out here and away from it all. Doesn’t it?” (JI) Taehyung thought on Jin’s words as he turned to look out at the ocean. Sure, it was nice to be here and all, but it didn’t get things done. It would be great if he could stay here like Jin and not have to worry about responsibilities, but he needed to ensure that everything worked in their favor.

“It’s just running away then.” (V)

“Isn’t that what we’re doing by hiding here?” (JI) Taehyung turned his head towards Jin, which in turn, had Jin turn to look at Taehyung. Taehyung would have said something, but the smile that Jin currently held just seemed to make all the words fly out the window. For some reason, he didn’t want to ruin whatever happiness Jin felt and it was… a very weird feeling. “Did you figure out your answer?” (JI)

“Answer? To what?” (V)

“My question.” (JI) Taehyung stared for a brief moment before quickly turning away to hide his reddening cheeks. He had thought on it and for some reason, no matter how many times he kept telling himself no, another part of him kept telling him to at least try it out. There was just something about Jin that annoyed him, but even that part seemed to make his life feel like there was more to it than just… gathering dirt on someone. “Is that a no…?” (JI)

“… To which question?” (V)

“Either one. You pick.” (JI) It would have been safe just to tell Jin no. With the kind of work that he dealt with, there was no telling what kind of trouble he could get into. Sure, he planned to quit after all of this was dealt with, but even then, he might just cause Jin too much trouble.

But… even if that was the case, something inside of him was telling him to just go ahead and take the risk. He’s taken so many risks already, so why couldn’t he add one that was much safer than any other risk he’s taken? Looking at Jin, Taehyung opened his mouth to say something, but a sigh merely escaped his lips as he looked back out towards the ocean. Hesitation was all he seemed to know when it came to anything related to romance. It was a rather frustrating feeling, but he knew that he owed Jin an answer. “Why… me?” (V)

“Why not?” (JI) A question met with another question. He didn’t know how to respond to that, but it only seemed to further push him towards saying yes. Why did Jin have to make no sense yet, somehow, help him find the answer that he needed. Looking down for a moment, Taehyung made certain that the answer he found was the right one before turning his back towards the ocean.

“Okay… I…” (V)

“There you are.” (DO)

Chapter 48: I swear this is like one of the best fanfic I have ever read. The childhood part was really interesting and nicely done, I wish you would detail some scenes but that's okay. And now... I don't know where you are going with this but I feel so excited. I am sad for Jin though because for the first time, he found someone important and yet, he lost it. That's so cruel you know. R. I. P Taehyung ~ ;-; Kyungsoo is a freaking bastard, hope he would end up in prison. Seungjong too! Feels like you are plotting something with him haha! Especially since he didn't get his revenge. Damn.... Daehyun will get to suffer again. X) about DaeJae, I love how slow you are making it. That's frustrating and sweet at the same time. And BangHim gosh, I want them to be together officially. But each time something interrupt them. X) is their couple going to be part of your plot or is it not that important? That's funny because I thought from the childhood that Himchan would have ended up with Sunny ~ By the way, that's been a long time we haven't seen her, is she going to make a cameo haha?
I also found it funny how Zelo and Jongup didn't like each other and how dependant Junhong seems to be towards Jongup when they both grew up haha! I actually laughed a lot when they bickered back then and now Junhong likes his hyung haha! Funny ~ Anyway I'm just going to end this review because I spent the last four nights reading these 48 chapters, I feel like I'm not making any sense anymore haha! Well, fighting for the next chapter, I am kind of excited to read it now! Fighting!!!!
