“Young Jae…” (DH) The tone of Daehyun’s voice made it evident that he was about to scold him. Nervousness coursed through Young Jae’s veins as he attempted to swallow the lump in his throat. What was he supposed to say? What was he supposed to do? He couldn’t let Daehyun find out what he had just done, but at the same time… there was just no escaping it when he’s been caught practically red handed.

“I, uh… this isn’t what it looks like!” (YJ)

“Really? So I don’t see you holding two pairs of my underwear... with you sitting in a pile of my dirty clothes... while in my room?” (DH) Young Jae looked down at the underwear in his hands, eyes as wide as saucers, before he looked back up at Daehyun. Daehyun’s eyebrows were furrowed and his eyelids were narrowed, showing that he was definitely not going to fall for whatever he was going to say.

“I… I only wanted to, um... see the um… outline…” (YJ) Daehyun lowered his head as he closed his eyes, let out a sigh, and shook his head. Young Jae could sense the disappointment and it stabbed at him like a sharp dagger. There was no way that he was going to fix this now, but… well, the only thing he could do at this point was to try and lessen the damage done. “I didn’t mean to do it! I swear!” (YJ)

“You wanted to see the size of my package, right?” (DH) Young Jae turned a deep shade of red before turning his face away. How was he supposed to respond to something like that?! He couldn’t admit to it, but at the same time… he kind of already did. “Well… I’ll show you.” (DH)

Young Jae’s eyes widened as he looked back at Daehyun. His jaw instantly dropped as he saw Daehyun already teasingly stripping away his shirt, showing off the abs that Young Jae never knew he had. His hands only seemed to tighten on the underwear as Daehyun threw his shirt away before he began swaying his hips. Young Jae’s eyes followed Daehyun's hands as they slowly caressed his exposed skin. He watched as his hands slowly made their way south before instantly gluing themselves onto Daehyun’s crotch, as Daehyun began to undo his jeans.

Just as the pants began to go…

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Young Jae jumped the second his alarm went off. He looked around, his breathing a little fast as his eyes tried to find Daehyun. When reality finally hit him, Young Jae let out a groan as he fell back onto his bed. He laid there for a moment or so before he turned his head to the alarm and stared angrily at it. “You… I was having such a nice dream!” (YJ)

Raising his arm, Young Jae swung it downwards before shutting his alarm off. Letting out another sigh, he turned his attention down towards the bulge that was currently displaying itself through his thin sheets. If he wore tighter clothes to bed, maybe it wouldn’t be so obvious, but for now, he would have to rethink his sheets. Reaching forward, he poked at it for a moment before adjusting it to make it more comfortable.

As much as he would have loved to take care of it, he was rather busy today. With another sigh, Young Jae tossed the sheets off of him before getting out of bed and making his way over to the closet.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“Uh… is something wrong?” (DH) Daehyun leaned forward, moving to the side a bit in the process as he attempted to get into Young Jae’s line of sight. However, Young Jae continued to look away as his cheeks and ears continued to remain a shade of pink. That dream he had of Daehyun kept popping up in his head and he couldn’t help but continuously think about it whenever he looked at Daehyun.

“N-Nothing’s wrong! What makes you say that?” (YJ)

“You won’t look at me and your face is red. Did I do something wrong?” (DH) Young Jae briefly glanced at Daehyun, but the second he made eye contact; he looked away once more and quickly shook his head. He felt guilty and not guilty about dreaming about Daehyun in such a situation, but he still couldn't make eye contact with him. Daehyun let out a sigh as he sat back in his seat before he began eating again. “Well… at least finish your food.” (DH)

Jongup looked from one male to the other, a little confused as to what was going on. Still, he merely ate his food, waiting to see what would happen next. Looking at Young Jae, he watched Young Jae move his plate off of the table before setting it on his lap. Why didn’t he want to look at Daehyun? Did he do something wrong? Jongup didn't understand, but he was hoping to see what Young Jae's answer might be. “So? How’s the taste?” (DH)

“Taste?!” (YJ) Young Jae shot his gaze at Daehyun, his eyes wide and his face an even deeper shade of red than before. Daehyun had a confused look on his face as he rubbed the back of his head. Why did Young Jae react like that? He was clearly hiding something, but Young Jae was being a bit stubborn at the moment.

“The uh… food.” (DH)

“Food? Food! R-Right, uh… It’s good! Very good! So tasty! I would eat it all the time!” (YJ) Young Jae quickly turned his attention back to his food, keeping his head low in an attempt to hide away from his embarrassment. What was wrong with him?! He just needed to pull his mind out of the gutter and continue on as if nothing wrong was happening.

“Young Jae. Are you done eating?” (BY) Young Jae jumped a little, nearly spilling his food in the process. He quickly looked up at Yongguk, who looked at him with a suspicious look on his face. Looking back down at his food, Young Jae shook his head before looking back up at Yongguk. Yongguk let out a small sigh as he folded his arms. “Well, hurry up. We have to be there by nine.” (BY)

“Y-Yeah… I know.” (YJ) Young Jae mumbled to himself as he quickened his eating pace a little. Yongguk raised a single brow as he watched Young Jae for a moment. He would have said something, but he decided against it for the time being. With a small shrug, Yongguk turned and left the room.

“You have a meeting?” (DH) Young Jae looked up at Daehyun before shaking his head.

“No, nothing like that. I have to attend a seminar to get extra credit for my class. I’m, uh… failing a little.” (YJ) He didn’t want to admit it, but he was having quite the difficulty with his classes. Then again, he has been a little too focused on helping Daehyun and Jongup that he had completely forgotten to study... not that it explained his grades from before this week. Now, it was biting back at him.

“Really? I can help you study if you want.” (DH) Young Jae stared at Daehyun for a moment before looking back down at his food. Should he take him up on his offer? School has been rather tough regardless of the studying he put forth and Daehyun might be able to make it easier. After all, Daehyun has been tutoring little kids. It could potentially work on him too.

“Um… could you really…?” (YJ)

“Sure. Just let me read the necessary chapters and I can tutor you when you’re ready.” (DH) Well, since Daehyun was offering, maybe he should take him up on his offer. It wouldn’t be so bad to get a little extra help. Plus, he would have an excuse to stay in his room now.

“Okay. I’ll have my textbooks brought to your room. Um… I kind of have to read a lot, so I might have to stay in your room to, uh… stay caught up in my class.” (YJ) Daehyun nodded, though he was wondering why he couldn’t just go to Young Jae’s room to read his books. It might have been better that way, considering the fact that Young Jae still needed his books. Though, if Young Jae preferred this arrangement, then maybe he shouldn’t question it.

“Alright. I’ll start reading them when I get the chance.” (DH)

“Young Jae. Are you done yet?” (BY) The trio looked up at Yongguk, whom seemed to be losing his patience. Young Jae looked down at his plate as he quickly took the last remaining bites of his food before he set the plate on the table and quickly followed after Yongguk out of the room. Daehyun stared at Young Jae’s plate for a moment before shaking his head a bit.

“He could have at least placed it in the sink.” (DH)

“But he did that yesterday too. I think the servants usually take the empty plates.” (JU) Daehyun nodded as he continued eating. He needed to keep reminding himself that things were fairly different here as opposed to back when he lived with just Jongup. “Oh! Um… Can I have some money please?” (JU)

Daehyun looked at Jongup for a brief moment, taken a bit off guard by how forward Jongup had been with asking for money. Now, it wasn’t necessarily a problem, but he did recall giving Jongup some money already not that long ago. “Eh? For what? I gave you your allowance a few days ago.” (DH)

“I wanted to buy a present for Zelo…” (JU)

“Oh, is it almost his birthday?” (DH)

“Um… yeeeaaahh…” (JU) Daehyun narrowed his eyelids as he stared at Jongup with suspicion. Jongup, feeling uncomfortable, shifted in his seat a little as he began toying with his food a bit. After living with Jongup for so long, Daehyun knew exactly when Jongup was lying and… well, it was fairly obvious that he was lying.

“Okay. What’s the real reason why you want money?” (DH) Jongup fiddled around with his fingers a he tried to think how to word his reasoning. He knew that Daehyun wouldn’t get mad, but he also assumed that they might not necessarily have the money at the moment.

“I… want to buy lunch for my friend because he bought food for everyone yesterday.” (JU) Daehyun hummed in response as he nodded, trying to think of how much money they currently had in the bank. When he came to a number that felt right, Daehyun smiled a bit before nodding once more.

“Alright. We’ll go to the bank before I drop you off at school.” (DH)

“Really?!” (JU) When Daehyun nodded yet again, Jongup couldn’t help but grin as he continued to eat rather happily. Daehyun chuckled a little, shaking his head a bit as he finished up his food. He knew that they couldn’t just spend their money all over the place, but since they were saving money while living with Young Jae, it shouldn’t hurt too much if they used it every now and then.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After being dropped off at school, Jongup couldn’t help but grin happily as he walked. He didn’t know if Taehyung was even at school today, but it didn’t hurt to try. Plus, despite telling Daehyun that he wanted to buy lunch for Taehyung, it might have been better to just give the money to Taehyung. That way, Taehyung would be able to use it for something else that he might need the money for.

When his eyes landed on Baekhyun, Jongup quickened his pace a bit. Since Baekhyun and Taehyung are cousins, then Baekhyun might know where Taehyung was at that very moment. If he didn’t, well, then that was alright. As long as Baekhyun had Taehyung’s contact information, then maybe that would be able to work too. “Baekhyun!” (JU)

Baekhyun turned here and there for a moment before his eyes landed on Jongup. He gave a small smile as he looked back down at the book he was reading before flipping the page. As Jongup sat down next to Baekhun, Jongup thought out what he was going to say. “Hi.” (BH)

“Hi! Uh… Is your cousin around…?” (JU) Baekhyun briefly glanced at Jongup, a bit of curiosity showing on his face, before he turned his attention back to his book. He thought for a moment before shaking his head. Jongup frowned a bit, leaning back in his seat as he looked forward a bit.

“He doesn’t go to this school. Taehyung just wanted to meet you guys. Why do you ask?” (BH) Jongup sat up a bit as he fished through his pocket for a moment. When he pulled out the money, Baekhyun briefly glanced at it before looking back at Jongup. “What’s that for?” (BH)

“I wanna give Taehyung money because he paid for our food yesterday.” (JU) Baekhyun looked back down at the money before thinking for a moment. He had nearly forgotten that Taehyung had done that, though he was now curious as to how Jongup managed to get over a hundred dollars to pay Taehyung back. Well... at least it looked like it was over a hundred dollars.

“I’ll call him and ask if he’s free.” (BH)

“Thanks.” (JU) As Baekhyun began to pull his phone out, Jongup neatly folded the money back up before putting it back into his pocket. Maybe it would be alright if they also did something that was less scary too. That way, Taehyung might at least be able to have fun too without getting sick in the process.

“Huh?” (BH)

“Already here!” (V) Taehyung hung up his phone as he ran around the bench before plopping down between his cousin and Jongup. He set his arms on the back of the bench, a grin on his face as he looked between his confused cousin and a surprised Jongup. “So, what did you need me for?” (V)

“Why are you here already?” (BH)

“Me? Uh…” (V) Well, he couldn’t just say that he was stalking Jongup since... that was part of the job description. That was definitely something he couldn’t do. No, instead, he already had a nice little lie to tell them. It wasn’t that big of a deal, right? “I started attending this university too! I wanted to make it a huge surprise and everything, but I guess I kinda ruined that. Anyway, did you need me for something?” (V)

“Oh, uh… Jongup wanted to give you something.” (BH)

“Give me something?” (V) Taehyung instantly turned his head towards Jongup, whom was still a tad bit surprised by Taehyung’s sudden appearance. However, once he managed to snap himself out of it, he quickly pulled the money out from his pocket before holding it out to Taehyung.

“I wanted to pay you back for the food you bought everyone yesterday.” (JU) Taehyung stared at the money for a brief moment before looking at Jongup with surprise. He didn’t want to admit it, but he felt bad that Jongup had managed to scrap together some money to pay him back. It made it even worse that he hadn’t even used his own money to buy the lunch. So, he merely smiled as he gently pushed the money back towards Jongup.

“Ah, uh… That’s okay! I don’t mind at all.” (V)

“But, um… maybe you could use the money for something else that you need.” (JU) Taehyung let out a nervous chuckle as he shook his head and pushed Jongup’s hand back to him once again when Jongup had tried to hand him the money a second time. Jongup was rather persistent, which he would have to take note of. “So I insist!” (JU)

“No, really! It’s alright! Just keep it. You don’t have a job, right? So you should keep the money.” (V) Jongup looked a little disappointed as he put his hand on his lap. Just as Taehyung was about to say something to comfort him a bit, a voice had quickly interrupted them as a body laid across all three laps.

“Hey! Whatcha guys doin’?” (JI) Taehyung stared down at Jin, fairly annoyed that he had no sense of personal space. He stabbed at Jin’s stomach with his fingers, which caused Jin to flinch before laughing a bit. Jin looked up at Taehyung, a grin on his face as he poked Taehyung’s stomach in response. “Someone’s being playful today!” (JI)

“Eh? No I wasn’t! Get off of me.” (V)

“Oh, come on! I’m so comfy here.” (JI) Jin to his back as he held his hands behind his head. Taehyung let out a small groan as he set his elbow onto Baekhyun’s shoulder and used his hand to keep his head propped up. Jin stared at Taehyung for a moment before remembering something important. Digging into his pocket, Jin grinned as he pulled out a wad of money and held it out in front of Taehyung’s face. “Here. To pay you back for yesterday.” (JI)

“What? Why are you paying me back?” (V)

“Why not? I mean, you paid for everyone’s food yesterday. Might as well pay you back.” (JI) Taehyung looked down at the money before lowering Jin’s hand back down. Why was everyone so damn nice in this little group?! He wasn’t used to being around nice people, minus Young Jae and his mother, but it was still something he didn’t quite know how to handle. “Eh? Rejecting my love and money? Come on! It isn’t so bad to take money.” (JI)

“Uh… I already rejected Jongup when he tried to pay me back.” (V)

“Eh? Jongup?” (JI) Jin looked up at Jongup while he looked down at him with innocent eyes. Jin was rather surprised that Jongup would be able to pay someone back, but then again, that was the kind of person Jongup usually was. With a smile, he reached up and gave a few pats to Jongup’s head before looking back up at Taehyung and grinning. “Alright. If you won’t take our money, then let’s hang out again today!” (JI)

Taehyung scoffed as he looked away with a smile on his face. Why was he happy that Jin wanted to hang out with him? Jin was probably his least favorite person in this group, but at least this would get him a little more on their good side. “Well… alright. What are we doing then?” (V)

“After class, we can go hang out at the mall.” (JI) Taehyung scratched the side of his head as he thought on the idea for a moment. It wasn’t exactly the greatest plan and it may also mean spending more money. Well, he could technically buy stuff for everyone this way. After all, it was usually easy to buy someone’s good side. Plus, it could get them to owe him something in return.

“Alright. After class.” (V)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Daehyun quietly mouthed the words that he read, his eyes scanning the sentences on each page. He may be a fast reader, but he wasn’t going to be fast enough to read a minimum of five different textbooks to start tutoring Young Jae by tomorrow. If anything, Young Jae would be on his own for the next few days while he read all of these. Luckily, Young Jae had some sticky notes of his current assignments and tests, so he managed to skip to where Young Jae was currently studying.

“Is there anything else that you may need?” Daehyun looked up at the servant currently still by the doorway. After opening one of Young Jae’s textbooks, Daehyun had completely forgotten that he had been escorted Young Jae’s bedroom. He gave a bit of a nervous chuckle as he smiled and shook his head.

“Ah, no. This is all. Thank you.” (DH) The servant gave a small bow before walking off to do whatever it was they needed to do. Daehyun turned his attention back to the book as he went back to reading, looking specifically for important information that would help Young Jae in the future. Of course… almost everything in here was important, so it was rather difficult to pin point just specific things. Still, he needed to try and make it simpler for Young Jae to understand.

Looking around for a moment, Daehyun spotted a pencil before jamming it between the pages. With a small sigh, Daehyun leaned back in his seat as he looked out the window. Today looked to be quite beautiful, so maybe it wouldn’t hurt to do some reading outside. Okay, so it was still a little chilly out, but that was okay. Going out to enjoy the outdoors every now and then wouldn’t hurt.

Picking up the textbook, Daehyun closed it up before he turned and made his way out of Young Jae’s bedroom. Walking down the hallway, down the stairs, and through more hallways, Daehyun soon made his way out onto the backyard. He smiled a bit, looking around as he admired the flower gardens that had been set up. It was interesting to see so many flowers out here, but he was quite surprised that the flowers were still blooming despite it only just now nearing spring.

As he walked forward a bit, he spotted a nearby circular table. Walking up to the table, he set the book on the surface before sitting in the seat. Opening the book up, he was about to start reading, but the sound of two women’s voices caught his attention. Turning his head a bit, he soon saw Young Jae’s mother and Tiffany walking towards his direction.

Should he greet them? It would be polite to do so, especially since he was staying here for free. It was just a matter of when the right time would be to greet them. “Oh my! Daehyun? What a pleasure it is to see you out here! I mistook you for Young Jae! Oh dear... how did I manage that? Are you catching up on some reading?” (HB)

“Ah, uh…” (DH) Daehyun quickly stood up, roughly pushing the chair behind him in the process. He stumbled a bit, adjusting the chair so that it wasn’t so awkwardly out of the way before he bowed to Tiffany and Hanbi. Both women giggled a little bit as they came to a stop in front of him. “Y-Yeah… I was just reading Young Jae’s textbook so that I can tutor him.” (DH)

“Tutor? Oh dear… I didn’t know that Young Jae was falling behind with his studies.” (HB) Tiffany wondered why Young Jae hadn’t told her anything about it, but then again, she probably wouldn’t have been much help to begin with anyway. After all, she was becoming a fashion designer, not a doctor. “May we sit and chat with you for a while, or will that be too distracting?” (HB)

“A-Ah! No. Go ahead.” (DH) As Hanbi and Tiffany walked over to their seats, Daehyun pulled his own chair closer to him before sitting down. Just as he had started reading once more, their voices had pulled his attention away from the book.

“Daehyun, dear. Tell me. What do you think about Young Jae? Do you think he is too irresponsible?” (HB) Daehyun looked at Hanbi for a moment before scratching the side of his head. There were plenty of words that could describe Young Jae, but there were some descriptions that stood out in his head.

“Young Jae is… I think it depends on the situation. He can be responsible when he wants to, but he’s very carefree and a generally happy person. He’s so full of life and… his smile makes the whole world seem brighter. I think that’s what attracted me to him.” (DH) When Daehyun realized what he just said, his face began to turn red as his eyes widened. “A-Ah! As a friend!” (DH)

Hanbi smiled as she nodded slightly. Tiffany, however, had leaned forward, wanting to hear more. It was rare that she got to meet people who would honestly confess how they felt about someone close to them and it did make her feel good on the inside, but for some reason… something was telling her that there was something deeper. Okay, so it could have been clued in to the fact that Daehyun said that he was attracted to Young Jae, but she wasn’t sure if it was in a friend-like way or in a lover type of way. “My… after so many years, you still have these kinds of thoughts for Young Jae?” (HB)

“He… hasn’t really changed… and that’s what I like about him.” (DH) Daehyun warmly smiled as he leaned back in his seat. Hanbi nodded once more as she waved her hand for one of the servants at the entrance to come over to them. When the servant finally made it over to them, they bowed before waiting for whatever it was that Hanbi was going to say.

“Can you get us some tea and pastries?” (HB)

“Yes, ma’am.” The servant bowed once more before turning around and making their way back to the mansion. Hanbi neatly folded her hands and placed them on her lap before looking back at Daehyun.

“So, Daehyun. What are you dreams or your goals? What do you wish to improve of yourself?” (HB) Daehyun looked downwards for a moment as he began thinking. There were so many answers he had to her questions, but he needed to focus on his more realistic goals and improvements. Dreams were nice to have, but they didn’t always fix current problems that would arise.

“Well… right now, I just want Jongup to have a good life. He’s a good kid and I want to see him succeed. But for improvements, uh… there’s a lot that needs improving, but maybe I want to be better at helping people.” (DH) Hanbi laughed a bit, keeping her head down as she kept her hand in front of . Daehyun didn’t understand why she was laughing, but he remained quiet as he waited to see what she might end up saying. When she finally did calm down, she cleared a bit as she adjusted her posture.

“Oh my! I haven’t met a young man like you in so long. Most boys hope to be rich or famous, but you… you think of others before yourself. Oh dear… If only I had a daughter, then I would have liked for you to marry her.” (HB) Daehyun gave an embarrassed smile as he lowered his head in an attempt to hide his growing embarrassment. He wanted to say that he wasn’t into women, but he didn’t know what either woman’s stance was on homouality. For the time being, he was going to have to remain silent… at least until he figured out how they felt about the topic. “Are you still single, dear?” (HB)

“Huh? Oh, uh… yes ma’am.” (DH)

“I see… and do you have your eye on anyone?” (HB) Daehyun lowered his gaze as a small, yet warm, smile appeared on his face. Hanbi couldn’t help but smile at this response as she waited to see what Daehyun may say, but she had a feeling that they weren’t going to get a straight forward answer.

“Yes… I have, buuut… I can’t say. I can say, though… that they’re close to my heart and I would marry them in a heartbeat if I were given the chance.” (DH) Hanbi leaned back in her seat before looking up at the servant whom had just arrived. As she was looking over the items that had been brought, Tiffany had a giddy smile on her face as she let out a slight squeal.

“That’s so romantic! I hope you get the chance to be with them.” (TF) Daehyun looked at Tiffany, though he had to force a small smile on his face. Tiffany’s energy toned down a bit, though she didn’t necessarily understand what Daehyun’s smile meant.

“I… think it’s already too late.” (DH)

Chapter 48: I swear this is like one of the best fanfic I have ever read. The childhood part was really interesting and nicely done, I wish you would detail some scenes but that's okay. And now... I don't know where you are going with this but I feel so excited. I am sad for Jin though because for the first time, he found someone important and yet, he lost it. That's so cruel you know. R. I. P Taehyung ~ ;-; Kyungsoo is a freaking bastard, hope he would end up in prison. Seungjong too! Feels like you are plotting something with him haha! Especially since he didn't get his revenge. Damn.... Daehyun will get to suffer again. X) about DaeJae, I love how slow you are making it. That's frustrating and sweet at the same time. And BangHim gosh, I want them to be together officially. But each time something interrupt them. X) is their couple going to be part of your plot or is it not that important? That's funny because I thought from the childhood that Himchan would have ended up with Sunny ~ By the way, that's been a long time we haven't seen her, is she going to make a cameo haha?
I also found it funny how Zelo and Jongup didn't like each other and how dependant Junhong seems to be towards Jongup when they both grew up haha! I actually laughed a lot when they bickered back then and now Junhong likes his hyung haha! Funny ~ Anyway I'm just going to end this review because I spent the last four nights reading these 48 chapters, I feel like I'm not making any sense anymore haha! Well, fighting for the next chapter, I am kind of excited to read it now! Fighting!!!!
