--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Everything seemed to finally be falling into place. After waiting for so long, they were reunited once again. Joy just seemed to be overflowing out of Daehyun’s body as he constantly glanced over at Young Jae. There was just so much he wanted to ask, so much he wanted to do just to get caught up with Young Jae. After all, there had clearly been a lot of changes since they last saw each other if Young Jae was all dressed up as if he was about to go to a formal gathering of some sort.

The little amount of time they spent together so far had been filled with nothing but questions and answers. Slowly but surely, the two were at least catching up on the things they had missed from one another’s lives; like what they’ve been up to, how their lives have been going, things like that. These were all simple things, but it was something that helped at least ease the pain of having been separated for thirteen years with no contact between one another.

“I knew that holding our promise would come into fruition sooner or later. I just knew it!” (DH) Setting the last, freshly washed container into the dish washer, Daehyun turned the faucet off before reaching for a hand towel. As he dried his hands, Daehyun turned to face Young Jae with a grin. “We just have a few more promises, right?” (DH)

“Uh... yeah.. um.. Hey, so uh.. how is everyone else?” (YJ) As much as he wanted to keep his promises with Daehyun, he just couldn’t. Young Jae mentally apologized to Daehyun, but there was nothing he could do about it anymore. The only thing he could do at this point was avoid the topic as much as possible and hope that Daehyun would soon forget about those promises they made all those years ago.

“Everyone else..? Hm..” (DH) Setting down the hand towel, Daehyun took a moment to think about their friends. With a smile, Daehyun leaned against the counter as he placed the palms of his hands on the edge of the counter. “They’ve been well. Every one has been adopted and I keep in contact with most of them still. Woohyun’s a fitness instructor. He has an office if you want him to help you work out. Seohyun is attending medical school, but.. I can’t remember if she’s becoming a doctor, a nurse, or a vet. She can become either one of the three, really. You already know about Taeyeon and Jessica, right? Well.. Himchan works as their stylist and Myungsoo works as a photographer. He’s dating Jessica... I think, but I’m not entirely certain. As for Sunny, she’s working on her Master’s degree as a Vet. Can you believe that? A master’s degree already! And uh.. I’m not really sure about Yongguk and Zelo. They were adopted about.. I think ten years ago, give or take a few years.” (DH)

“And you? Were you adopted too?” (YJ) Daehyun rubbed the back of his head as he gave a nervous chuckle. Young Jae wouldn’t care if he hadn’t been adopted, right? He didn’t want to look bad in front of Young Jae, but it’s not like he could just lie about being adopted. There wasn’t anything he would gain from lying about something so small.

“No. Jongup and I haven’t been adopted. That’s why I’ve been working to send Jongup to University.” (DH) Young Jae let out a small ‘oh’ as he slowly turned away. He felt awkward for having brought it up, but it was too late now. Just this bit of information made Young Jae want to help Daehyun even more, but Daehyun seemed to be too stubborn to let him do so. Just because he considered himself a hero didn’t mean that he couldn’t accept help every once in a while. Sadly, all he could say was..

“Sorry..” (YJ) Daehyun perked up, his smile disappearing as he stared at Young Jae with confusion. Why was he apologizing? It’s not like Young Jae had done anything wrong. Somehow managing to regain his smile, Daehyun walked up to the island and leaned against it as he put a hand on Young Jae’s folded hands.

“You don’t have to apologize. You didn’t do anything wrong, right?” (DH) Young Jae nodded, but he couldn’t help but start to turn red the longer Daehyun held his hands. Slowly, Young Jae pulled his hands away from Daehyun’s grasp before neatly folding them underneath his lap. Daehyun was a bit confused by this, but he simply assumed that Young Jae probably felt uncomfortable about it. It was understandable since they seem like different people now, but Daehyun hoped that Young Jae would warm up to him all over again. “So, are you going to University still or did you graduate already?” (DH)

“Me? Oh, uh.. I’m attending medical school at the moment to become a doctor.” (YJ) Young Jae scratched the back of his head as he thought about it. Becoming a doctor wasn’t so bad, right? Looking at Daehyun, Young Jae blinked a few times before he moved back a little. “Y-You’re a little too close.” (YJ)

“Sorry, but.. wow.. I’m so jealous! You’re becoming a doctor?! Ah.. It must be nice. I’ve always wanted to be a doctor. Do well, yeah? I want to hear how great of a doctor you’ve become once you graduate.” (DH) Young Jae nodded, but this bit of information now made him feel bad. Why is it that whatever a person wanted, they can’t seem to get it? Daehyun actually wanted to become a doctor, but he didn’t have the resources to do so while Young Jae was being forced to become a doctor. Looking down, he frowned slightly.

“Sorry..” (YJ)

“Hey! Stop apologizing so much, alright? It’s not like you did anything bad.” (DH) A small chuckle escaped Daehyun’s lips as he leaned back a bit. Letting out a sigh, Daehyun smiled before his eyes glanced up at the wall clock above the island. His eyes instantly widened as he pulled himself back towards the island counter. “Crap! I have to get going.” (DH)

As Daehyun went around to gather the things that he needed, Young Jae merely watched with curiosity. Why was he in a hurry? Almost instantly, the answer came to him as he mentally smacked his forehead. Why had he forgotten about the fact that he had ran into Daehyun while he was working?

Just as Daehyun had reached for the door handle, he paused for a moment before turning to look at Young Jae. The two stared at one another, blinking from time to time before Daehyun made his way up to the other male. He thought on the choices before he decided on what to say. “I have to head to work now. Do you want to stay here and wait for your clothes or.. do you want to come back with me to work?” (DH)

Young Jae pursed his lips as he turned his gaze towards the ground. His options were rather limited, but they were the only things he could do at the moment. Still, it seemed like he had to figure something out. If he stayed here, he could just as easily get his clothes once they were dry and then he could just leave whenever he felt like it. However, that also meant that he would have less time to spend with Daehyun since he didn’t know what Daehyun’s schedule was like for the rest of the day. Deciding on what to do, Young Jae nodded a bit as he got to his feet. “Alright. I’ll tag along. Will your boss be okay with it, though..?” (YJ)

“Of course! If he isn’t, then I’ll make him understand. Okay, let’s go! I’m gonna get in trouble if I’m late.” (DH) He was about to reach for Young Jae’s wrist, but he quickly paused for a moment. Remembering how Young Jae had pulled his hands away earlier, Daehyun kept himself from holding Young Jae's wrist as he smiled a bit before leading the way.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As Daehyun moved here and there around the store while stocking the shelves and produce as necessary, Young Jae tried his best to keep up while carrying various boxes that Daehyun would need to stock as well. He had volunteered to help Daehyun out with his work load, mostly so that he could see what kind of hardships Daehyun went through. Everything was a lot harder than it seemed, especially whenever the two of them had to carry something heavy from the back all the way to the front. “Daehyun? Where do I put this one?” (YJ)

Daehyun leaned back a bit as he stared at the item that Young Jae was currently holding. Once he was certain on what it was, he had looked around for just a brief moment when the majority of his vision was soon blocked by a man’s stomach. Looking up, his eyes soon made contact with an annoyed looking pair of eyes as the man cleared his throat. “Daehyun! What are you doing, making a customer work?! I thought I-”

“W-Wait!” (YJ) Young Jae set the item he held back into the box before getting up to his feet. Walking up to the manager, he slightly bowed his head before folding his hands behind his back. Regaining his composure, Young Jae cleared his throat before putting on a confident front. “I volunteered to help Daehyun with his work. I just wanted to know what it was like working here and Daehyun accepted my request. I don’t need to be paid, so it shouldn’t be a problem, right?” (YJ)

The manager thought on it for a moment as he slowly rolled Young Jae’s words around in his head. Free labor was always nice to have, especially if he didn’t end up getting into trouble for it. With a small nod, the manager looked back down at Daehyun. “Alright.. I’ll let it slide. Keep up the good work then.”

Once the manager walked off with a rather happy look on his face, Daehyun let out a small sigh of relief as he looked up at Young Jae. He seemed a lot different than he had been just mere seconds ago, but maybe it was just something Young Jae had to learn. “Thanks for that, Young Jae.” (DH)

“Hm?” (YJ) Young Jae looked down at Daehyun before nodding a bit. He didn’t mind helping Daehyun, but it did turn out to be the truth after all. With how much time Daehyun must have spent working while he, himself, has had an easy life, Young Jae wanted to at least help out just a little bit to ease the burden. It made sense, right? Helping Daehyun with his work was literally the least he could do. He just needed to find out what else he could do to help out Daehyun.

As the two went back to work, Daehyun couldn’t help but glance at Young Jae from time to time. Since he was in a short sleeved shirt, Daehyun could see the muscles that Young Jae seemed to have gained along the line. When had that occurred? Looking down at his own arm, Daehyun raised his arm a bit as he rolled his sleeve up as high as possible. Flexing a bit, he was about to compare his arm with Young Jae’s when he noticed Young Jae staring at his arm now. Turning slightly red, Daehyun quickly put his arm back down as he rolled his sleeve back down. “S-So, uh.. Do you want to take a break?” (DH)

It took him a few seconds, but when he didn’t get a response from Young Jae, Daehyun looked up at him to see that he was still staring at him. Moving a bit closer, Daehyun noticed the tint of red on Young Jae’s cheeks as his mouth seemed to hang slightly agape. What was he thinking about? Raising a hand up to Young Jae’s face, Daehyun waved his hand in front of Young Jae’s eyes before he finally got Young Jae to blink. Almost instantly, Young Jae turned a deeper shade of red as he fell back from finally noticing how close Daehyun was. Daehyun laughed a bit as he rested his arms on his knees. “What were you daydreaming about?” (DH)

“N-Nothing! I, uh.. I was just trying to figure out where to.. put.. the uh..” (YJ) There was no way that he was going to admit to what he had just been imagining. Yes, it included Daehyun, but there was nothing else he was going to admit to! Looking around, Young Jae quickly grabbed a nearby can as he held it up for Daehyun to see. “I was trying to figure out where to put this can of.. ravioli!” (YJ)

Daehyun couldn’t help but chuckle as he took hold of the can and set it onto the shelf right next to Young Jae. Reaching up, Daehyun ruffled Young Jae’s hair a bit before he went back to his previous spot. Picking up the last two cans in the box next to him, he looked back over at Young Jae, whom was still on the ground. “Do you want to take a break? We can take a break if you’re tired.” (DH)

“Ah..! Can we?! I’ll finish this box first then.” (YJ) Quickly getting up to a crouching position, Young Jae went back to stocking the things in the box by his feet. He mentally smacked himself for even thinking about such things, especially since they had just reunited! He couldn’t let his thoughts or feelings get the best of him. Any and all feelings he had for Daehyun all belonged in the past and he needed to learn to leave it all there. Daehyun was simply just an old friend and nothing else. Plus, how old was he already?! He was far too old to be thinking like a hormonal teen!

“You’re putting it in the wrong place.” (DH)

“Huh..?” (YJ) Young Jae was about to look to his right when suddenly, he felt a hand sliding along his hand. He tensed up, his eyes widening as he watched Daehyun’s hand wrap around his before guiding his hand over to the section where the can was supposed to go to. Once that was done, Daehyun ruffled Young Jae’s hair once more before he began closing the now empty box. Young Jae looked down, his gaze lingering on his hand before looking up at Daehyun. He wanted to tell Daehyun to stop touching him like that. Sure, Daehyun may not have meant it, but.. Young Jae didn’t want to break Daehyun’s heart. At the same time though, he couldn’t bring himself to telling him. Again, it might end up hurting him and that was something else he didn’t want. Of course, he did have another reason, but he told himself that he wouldn’t remind himself of the past. So... what else could he do but keep quiet about it?

“Hey come on. Let’s get something to eat.” (DH) Young Jae nodded as he got to his feet. As Daehyun led the way towards wherever it was that they were going to eat, Young Jae looked around for a bit as his eyes landed on the cashier. Why was he staring at him? Well, it probably didn’t really matter anyway. With a small shrug, Young Jae looked back forward before quickly stopping himself from bumping into Daehyun. Taking a few steps back, he looked at the food that was currently up on display next to a counter that had a microwave, a machine most likely used to boil water, and various utensils and condiments.

He stared for a moment, a bit confused as to why these things were set up. Yes, it was a convenient place to set up your food, but after that, what would be the point? Would they have to pay to use these things or would it be considered free? Walking up to the counter, Young Jae stared at it with a bit too much intensity when he felt a hand on his shoulder. Looking at the person next to him, his gaze softened as he stared at a confused, yet amused, Daehyun. “What are you doing? Aren’t you going to pick something to eat?” (DH)

“We have to pay to use these, right? I’ll pay for it.” (YJ) Young Jae had just started to reach for his wallet, but Daehyun had quickly grabbed his wrist to stop him. The two stared at one another for a moment before Daehyun finally let go. “What was that for?” (YJ)

“I, uh.. sorry. Since we worked, we can eat the food over here for free. We just can’t eat more than two different things. Customers have to pay, but we don’t.” (DH) That sounded rather strange to Young Jae, but he nodded as he walked over to the shelf that was next to the counter. It may have been a small display, maybe about four feet wide, but it still had a wide variety of things that could be eaten on the spot. That wasn’t even including the nearby freezer that had a few more varieties of food for them to choose from. Furrowing his eyebrows a bit, he scanned over his choices as best as possible. All of these were instant foods and, sadly, Young Jae hasn’t had instant foods since his childhood. “I got the water boiling. Are you picking instant noodles?” (DH)

“What would you recommend for me to eat?” (YJ) Young Jae looked at Daehyun, attempting to hide the fact that he was practically asking Daehyun to choose for him. He couldn’t decide since none of them looked appetizing, so might as well use Daehyun for the time being. Luckily, Daehyun didn’t seem to notice as he looked at the choices with careful consideration. He didn’t really know Young Jae’s preferences when it came to food, so he had to go on what he remembered from their childhood. Tapping his index finger on his chin a few times, his eyes lit up a bit as he reached for a cup of noodles and held it out to Young Jae.

“I think you’ll like this one. You like shrimp, right?” (DH) Young Jae nodded, but he was reluctant to take the cup of noodles. It looked.. well, not all that great in the picture and he doubted it would look any better once it was cooked. Plus, he doubted that the shrimp was even real if this thing really had shrimp inside of it. Still, he simply gave a nervous smile to Daehyun as he made his way over to the counter.

As Young Jae began to read what the directions required of him to do, Daehyun hummed quietly to himself as he waited patiently for the water to boil. The directions were relatively simple enough, so once Young Jae began to open the package, he looked over at Daehyun as he set the cup of noodles down. What should he say? It was awkward to just keep the silence between them, but Young Jae wasn’t much of a conversationalist to begin with. Though, it seemed like Young Jae wouldn’t have to worry about starting up a conversation. “Hey, so uh.. Do you want to.. I know this is sudden, but uh...” (DH)

Young Jae looked at Daehyun once more, not really remembering when he had looked away, when he saw Daehyun facing him now. Daehyun was flustered for some reason, though it made Young Jae feel flustered about it as well as he turned his gaze towards the ground. “Well, I mean.. since we promised each other those years ago, then maybe you’d like to..” (DH)

His eyes widened as Young Jae instantly knew where Daehyun was going with this. As much as he wanted to do just that, he just couldn’t bring himself to agreeing to what Daehyun was proposing. Clearing his throat and pulling Daehyun’s attention, Young Jae dusted himself off as he let out a small chuckle. “Aren’t promises a bit childish? I mean, it’s nice that you’ve been thinking about me and those promises we made together all those years ago, but I haven’t thought about that in years. I think that.. you should forget about all of that and think about the things that are important.” (YJ)

Daehyun stared at Young Jae with disbelief before his gaze slowly went towards the ground. Did Young Jae really not care about the promises they made? Taking in a deep breath, Daehyun forced a small smile onto his face as he nodded. “Y-Yeah.. I guess you’re right. Promises are rather.. childish, I guess. Oh.. uh.. the water’s ready..” (DH)

While Daehyun began to prepare their instant noodles, Young Jae couldn’t help but frown as he saw just how dejected Daehyun seemed. He mentally apologized to Daehyun, but.. if he kept them from getting too close, then maybe he would be able to get Daehyun to move on. It’s not like they had close emotional ties with one another, right? They were just simply friends and nothing more.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“Let me-” (YJ)

“No. Just stay here and rest up, okay?” (DH) Daehyun smiled before walking off without waiting for an answer. He needed just a bit of time to think about this on his own. Maybe he could just win Young Jae over if he really did lean that way. He couldn’t give up now and if Young Jae wanted to start anew, which hadn't necessarily been suggested, then Daehyun wouldn’t mind doing so.

“Hey! Daehyun! PSSSSST!” (JI) Daehyun looked up as he saw Jin motioning for him to come over to him. Daehyun looked over at Young Jae, whom was clearly curious about what was going on as he stared at Jin. The second Young Jae realized that Daehyun was staring at him, Young Jae quickly turned red as he turned back to his food. Walking up to Jin, Daehyun was about to ask what he wanted, but Jin quickly pulled him in as he spoke quietly. “Is he the guy that you’ve been looking for all these years? I mean, you always spoke about him, but I thought you were just kidding!” (JI)

“Yeah.. It’s him, but... he doesn’t really care about our promises anymore.” (DH) Jin moved back as he let out a small groan. Daehyun chuckled a bit as he rubbed the back of his head. “Sorry it didn’t go the way you planned.” (DH)

“Man...! I really thought it would work out between you two. The way you kept talking about him made it seem like you two were perfect for each other!” (JI) Jin slowly wiped his face before looking at Young Jae. The two stared, almost glared at one another, before Jin looked back at Daehyun. Leaning in a bit, he reached forward and took hold of Daehyun’s shoulder before giving him it a comforting squeeze. “It’s alright. There might still be a chance for you two to get together!” (JI)

“Ah.. Don’t worry about it. People change as they grow up, right?” (DH) Daehyun merely shrugged as Jin pulled his hand away. Jin looked back at Young Jae, whom was currently eating his food. He glared at him before pushing his sleeves up, making it seem like he was about to beat someone up.

“Don’t worry Daehyun! I’ll interrogate that little punk and get some answers out of him!” (JI) Jin made his way around the counter and had just started to move towards Young Jae when Daehyun quickly moved in front of him. Each time Jin tried to sidestep Daehyun, Daehyun only seemed to match his movements. “Move, Daehyun! You know I can get answers easily.” (JI)

“Just leave it alone, okay Jin? I’m sure Young Jae has his reasons. These things happen for a reason and.. there’s nothing we can do to prevent it.” (DH) Jin looked at Daehyun for a moment, gaining all sorts of respect for the man he looked up to as he let out a small sigh. Once he nodded, Daehyun smiled as he gave Jin’s right shoulder a pat. “Good! Now, let’s get back to work before our manager yells at us.” (DH)

The second Daehyun had gone back to do what he needed to do, Jin instantly looked over at Young Jae, whom had quickly looked away. So.. did he think he was completely safe from him? Of course not! There was no way that Jin was going to let Daehyun’s one true love get away. Well, he assumed that this guy was supposed to be Daehyun’s one true love. With how much Daehyun talked about him, it just had to be the case.

Fixing his hair a bit, Jin put a stern look on his face as he adjusted his clothes. Taking in a deep breath, he made his way over to the table that Young Jae was currently sitting at. What was he going to say? Who knew! It was best just to wing it and see where things would take him. Sitting down at the stool next to Young Jae’s, he cleared his throat, causing Young Jae to look his way. “So... You’re the mystery man that Daehyun seems to talk constantly about.” (JI)

Mystery man..? Wait. Daehyun talked about him a lot? Did Daehyun really like him that much? Sure, Young Jae quite liked Daehyun, but not to the point that he would talk about him constantly. That was years ago! “So what if I am? Are you jealous?” (YJ)

“Tch.. Me? Jealous? Definitely not. I just want to know what your feelings are towards Daehyun.” (JI) Young Jae smirked as he went back to his food, pretending to seem like the topic they were talking about wasn’t important at all. He didn’t understand what Daehyun’s relationship was with this person, but he still wasn’t about to back down.

“I believe it doesn’t concern you.” (YJ) Young Jae smiled a bit, but he kept his gaze on his food. He couldn’t confess, especially not to someone he didn’t know. Truthfully, Young Jae didn’t really know what his relationship with Daehyun currently was. Young Jae just constantly told himself that they were friends, but what did Daehyun seem them as? “But.. we’re just friends, nothing else if that’s what you’re wondering. I.. have no romantic feelings for him.” (YJ)

Jin didn’t understand what Daehyun saw in Young Jae, but there wasn’t anything he could say to respond to Young Jae’s words. With a small sigh, Jin got up from his seat before making his way back over to his station. He needed to help Daehyun win Young Jae over somehow. They seemed like they were torn from one another, which they technically had been. Though.. if Young Jae was straight, then there was little to no chance of Daehyun and Young Jae getting together! Jin let out an irritated groan as he practically slammed his head onto the counter. He instantly regretted his decision, but he merely let out a small sigh as he tried to think of what to do to help.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“Hey.. Let me see your muscles.” (DH)

“W-What?!” (YJ) Young Jae turned a complete shade of red as he stared at Daehyun with disbelief. Was Daehyun trying to be as forward as possible?! He didn’t care if Daehyun used his clothes to blackmail him, there was just no way that he was going to show Daehyun.. well, anything! Young Jae put a hand in front of his chest in a defensive manner as he took a single step back. He looked down, his uncertainty starting to kick in as his face reddened a bit more. “I don’t know..” (YJ)

“Why not? We’re both men and I want to compare your muscles with mine.” (DH) Young Jae wasn’t comfortable with showing his body to just anyone, especially since they hadn’t seen one another after a long time. It just didn’t seem like something friends would do! “Come on. I’ll show you mine if you show me yours.” (DH)

Young Jae’s eyes widened as he looked at Daehyun. Was he serious?! Daehyun would seriously strip down, right here and right now, if he agreed to showing him his muscles?! The idea was very tempt- No! It wasn’t! It couldn’t be! Young Jae shook the thoughts out of his head as he took another step back. “I can’t.. I’m uh.. not comfortable.” (YJ)

He had his eyes shut for some reason, almost expecting Daehyun to make a move and practically push him onto the bed behind him. Wait. Why did he have these thoughts?! Just because he hadn’t seen Daehyun after so long didn’t mean that he had to be thinking about the impossible! Though, all of those thoughts dissipated as he soon felt a hand ruffle his hair. Opening his eyes, he saw and felt Daehyun put Young Jae’s freshly cleaned clothes into his hands. With a smile, Daehyun gave a thumbs up as he nodded. “That’s alright. Just get changed and I’ll meet you out in the living room, okay?” (DH)

“Y-Yeah..” (YJ) Once Daehyun left the room, Young Jae smacked his head a few times as he began changing. Why was he having all of these thoughts?! Not once, during the thirteen years that he had been separated from Daehyun, had he ever thought about such things! Okay, that was a mini lie, but that didn’t mean that he was already thinking about doing the dirty deed with him! He let out an irritated groan as he ruffled his hair out of frustration.

About five, maybe ten, minutes had passed before Young Jae had finally emerged from Daehyun’s bedroom. He dusted himself, though he kind of preferred Daehuyn’s clothes a bit more. His clothes actually allowed him to breathe while these, well.. even if they did snugly hug his body, they didn’t exactly feel all that great to wear after a few hours have passed. Looking at Daehyun, the two stared at one another for a few seconds before Daehyun grinned and gave a thumbs up. “Looks nice!” (DH)

“Uh.. thanks..” (YJ) Young Jae looked away with embarrassment as he unintentionally tried to fix his hair. Walking up to Daehyun, Young Jae cleared his throat a bit as he smiled and slightly bowed his head. “It was nice catching up with you, but I have to get going now. I have a few things I have to do before I head home.” (YJ)

“Yeah, I understand. I’ll see you to the door.” (DH) Daehyun led the way as Young Jae followed after him. As much as he wanted to spend more time with Daehyun, Young Jae really did have a few errands he needed to run. Once at the door, Young Jae bowed his head and was about to step out, but Daehyun quickly took hold of Young Jae’s wrist to stop him. “Hey, uh wait a minute.” (DH)

Young Jae looked down at Daehyun’s hand, causing Daehyun to quickly pull his hand away as he cleared his throat. Looking up at Daehyun, Young Jae folded his hands behind his back as he waited. “I, uh.. I wanted to know if you wanted to hang out again some time. I mean.. I want to keep in touch with you and all. Is that alright..?” (DH)

He wanted to and he didn’t want to go with Daehyun’s suggestion. Young Jae had been ready to leave everything he knew about Daehyun behind. After all, it had just been a childhood crush and it’s not like anything would have emerged from it. However, it seemed like he couldn’t do that as easily as he had hoped now that he had reunited with Daehyun. With a small sigh, Young Jae reluctantly nodded as he gave a small smile. “Sure.. I’d love that. Uh, here.. I’ll give you my phone number and then you text me yours, alright?” (YJ)

“Yeah! Okay!” (DH) Young Jae chuckled a bit as he saw Daehyun searching through all of his pockets for his cellular device. Once it had been produced, Daehyun handed Young Jae his phone. Waiting patiently, Daehyun watched as Young Jae dialed in his number before saving it. However, instead of handing it back to Daehyun directly after putting his number in, Young Jae texted himself before handing it back to Daehyun. Once he heard the familiar ring tone that signaled that he had received a text message, Young Jae smiled as he rubbed the back of his head.

“There. Now you have my number and I have yours. I’ll see you, yeah?” (YJ)

“Yeah. Drive safely, alright?” (DH) Young Jae nodded and soon, he was gone. Daehyun let out a small sigh as he looked down at his phone, staring at the newly saved contact. He was happy that he had reunited with Young Jae, but at the same time.. he was disappointed that Young Jae seemed to not care about their promises anymore. Well.. he would just have to learn to accept it. If he could just win Young Jae over then maybe, those promises could be kept after all.

Letting out a deep sigh, Daehyun made his way over to the couch before falling backwards onto it. He looked up at the ceiling, smiling a bit as he held his cell phone on his chest. Just as long as Young Jae was happy, then he could be happy too.

Chapter 48: I swear this is like one of the best fanfic I have ever read. The childhood part was really interesting and nicely done, I wish you would detail some scenes but that's okay. And now... I don't know where you are going with this but I feel so excited. I am sad for Jin though because for the first time, he found someone important and yet, he lost it. That's so cruel you know. R. I. P Taehyung ~ ;-; Kyungsoo is a freaking bastard, hope he would end up in prison. Seungjong too! Feels like you are plotting something with him haha! Especially since he didn't get his revenge. Damn.... Daehyun will get to suffer again. X) about DaeJae, I love how slow you are making it. That's frustrating and sweet at the same time. And BangHim gosh, I want them to be together officially. But each time something interrupt them. X) is their couple going to be part of your plot or is it not that important? That's funny because I thought from the childhood that Himchan would have ended up with Sunny ~ By the way, that's been a long time we haven't seen her, is she going to make a cameo haha?
I also found it funny how Zelo and Jongup didn't like each other and how dependant Junhong seems to be towards Jongup when they both grew up haha! I actually laughed a lot when they bickered back then and now Junhong likes his hyung haha! Funny ~ Anyway I'm just going to end this review because I spent the last four nights reading these 48 chapters, I feel like I'm not making any sense anymore haha! Well, fighting for the next chapter, I am kind of excited to read it now! Fighting!!!!
