Within this world, there were things that were okay to do and things that were not okay to do. At this very moment, Young Jae had done something that he most definitely should not have done. For whatever reason, Young Jae thought that it was a good idea, but now that the deed has been done, it’s painfully obvious that he shouldn’t have done it. Yes, he could undo his actions before it was found out, but until then, he was potentially going to get into trouble for this if he ended up getting caught.

As he sat there in the backseat, he couldn’t help but continue to admire the stuffed toy bear. Yes, he had indeed taken the box and its contents from Daehyun’s room, but he couldn’t help himself. This was something that Daehyun had taken the time and money to get him and Young Jae really appreciated it. He wanted to keep the bear all to himself and thus… he ended up taking the bear from Daehyun’s room instead of waiting for Daehyun to give it to him.

Now, does that make him a bad person? Maybe. Were his actions justified? Maybe not. Could he help it? Nope. With a smile, Young Jae carefully ran his hand along the back of the bear’s head, feeling the soft and fluffy feel of the bear’s fur. If anything, the softness of the bear’s fur almost rivaled Mister Button’s, if it hasn’t already. Maybe they really would be a nice couple… not that Young Jae was going to force the two Teddy bears to become a couple or anything. After all, he did have to see if the two bears had some chemistry between one another before deciding anything. Since they were both males, it was difficult to see if they would want to be married to one another.

A small chuckle escaped his lips as Young Jae shook his head.

Why was he thinking this way? Was he seriously trying to decide on whether or not Mister Buttons and Mister Top Hat were a good match with one another? They were stuffed bears! He shouldn’t be thinking about it so seriously like this. He was already in his twenties, so why was he thinking about a stuffed animals' love life?

His eyes lowered as a slight frown graced his lips. Has it really come to that? Has it really gone to the point where he had decided that these two stuffed animals weren’t important to him? They both came from very important people and yet… he was willing to just throw them away just like that? No… He was better than that. Young Jae wasn’t going to just toss away precious memories to make himself seem mature. Even a mature person needed something to help them get by… right?

“We’re here.” (BY) Young Jae felt the car come to a stop before looking up. With a small smile, Young Jae looked back down at the bear as he carefully placed it back into the box before closing it back up. Once the car was turned off, Young Jae was about to step out of it, but he stopped when he saw that Yongguk was still sitting where he was. “You do realize Daehyun is going to freak out when he sees that it’s missing, right?” (BY)

A sigh escaped Young Jae’s lips as he leaned back in his seat. If he had wanted a lecture from Yongguk, then he would have said so. Of course… Young Jae did understand what Yongguk was saying. Someone had broken into their apartment, left a briefcase full of money, and then stole something that may end up being very important to Daehyun. He would have to give it back eventually; he knew that, buuut… that didn’t mean that he couldn’t hold onto it for a little while longer. It wouldn’t hurt to introduce Mister Top Hat to Mister Buttons… would it? “I’ll give it back later… I mean, it’s meant for me, right? It should be alright if I hold onto it for a while…” (YJ)

“Fine. But you have to put it back after we eat.” (BY)

“But-“ (YJ)

“No but’s. You are putting it back after lunch. End of conversation.” (BY) Young Jae scoffed as he watched Yongguk step out of the car. He was very surprised that Yongguk had ended the conversation just like that and he probably would have said something, but Yongguk had already closed the door and was now making his way towards the restaurant. Letting out an annoyed sigh, Young Jae looked back down at the box before touching the lid.

Young Jae was just going to have to learn to accept that it technically wasn’t his until Daehyun gave it to him. With another sigh, Young Jae picked up the box before stepping out of the car. Making his way around to the back, Young Jae opened up the trunk before carefully placing the box far in the back before hiding it with whatever was already in the trunk. Closing it up, he took in a deep breath before he began making his way towards the restaurant entrance.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Standing there made him feel nervous despite the fact that he currently looked calm. Daehyun felt completely underdressed in this kind of restaurant. He’s never actually been here, so he didn’t even know what kind of clothes people usually wore at a restaurant like this. Could he help it though? He rarely ever ate out in order to save money, so this wasn’t the kind of thing he would look up ahead of time.

While he was dressed casually, everyone here looked like they were about ready to either make a business deal or they were about to go out to a party. Daehyun was contemplating about going back home to change, but it should be fine. The employees didn’t say anything about his attire and from what he saw earlier, Tiffany and Hyosung didn’t seem to be dressed up too much. Plus, why should he care too much about how he looked? He was going to have to go to his next job a few hours later anyway, so getting dressed up just for lunch would be a waste. “Oh, Daehyun! You’re here already.” (TF)

Lifting his gaze, Daehyun soon spotted Tiffany and Hyosung making their way over to him. From what he could see, they had done some shopping since he had last seen them. Did they not have a car with them to put their bags away? For some reason, he had expected Young Jae to arrive with them. They did say that Young Jae was going to be eating with them, right? Getting up from his seat, Daehyun smiled as he briefly raised his hand. “Yeah. I wanted to show up early just in case.” (DH)

“Young Jae already made a reservation, so let’s go sit.” (TF) Daehyun nodded as Tiffany led the way up to the host. While Tiffany was handling everything, Hyosung was walking next to Daehyun and a little behind. She didn’t want to get caught looking at him every now and then, so lagging just a little behind was the best idea that she could come up with. Was it working? Hell yeah!

“Follow me to your seats.” The three of them followed the host to a booth that was currently positioned by the window. With thanks, the three of them slid into their seats before the host gave them each a menu and left two other menus before leaving them to decide on their drinks. As Daehyun begun to look through the menu, Tiffany briefly glanced over at Hyosung before nudging her with her elbow. Hyosung instantly sat up, her eyes slightly wide with confusion as she stared at Tiffany. When Tiffany nudged her head towards Daehyun, Hyosung blinked a few times before looking over at Daehyun.

Before she could say anything though, Daehyun looked up before a smile seemed to come onto his face. However, instead of looking at them, it was quite evident that he was looking past them at the moment. The two turned around before their eyes landed on Yongguk, whom was now walking up to them. As Yongguk took his seat, he looked at the three before waving his hand a bit. “What’s up?” (BY)

“Where’s Young Jae?” (TF)

“He’ll be here soon.” (BY) As if on cue, Young Jae soon entered the room, causing Daehyun to grin as he waved his hand high up in the air. When Young Jae spotted him, he couldn’t help but grin in turn as he walked over to the table. Taking his spot right across from Daehyun, he looked at everyone for a brief moment before he took hold of his menu.

“Sorry I’m late. Had some uh… things to do.” (YJ)

“What kind of things?” (DH) Young Jae quickly looked at Daehyun, whom didn’t seem to be as happy as he had been earlier. Even though Daehyun was giving a small smile, Young Jae could tell that Daehyun was suspecting him for that briefcase full of money. He needed to think of something to say in order to avoid any more suspicions, but what was he supposed to say?

“Uh… Just a few things here and there. Nothing interesting.” (YJ) Despite the nod that Daehyun gave, Young Jae could still tell that Daehyun was suspicious about him. However, Young Jae could at least lighten up a little, assuming that Daehyun wouldn’t question him any further about what he had been up to. In an attempt to continue to avoid the subject, Young Jae turned his attention to the girls. “So… Uh… What did you two buy?” (YJ)

Tiffany and Hyosung each looked at one another before they giggled a little bit. Something was up between them, but neither one of the males knew what they were up to. After a few nudges from Tiffany, Hyosung finally summoned up her courage before picking up one of her shopping bags and looking up at Daehyun. “Daehyun! I, um… I bought something for you. I really hope you like it.” (HS)

“You did? Why?” (DH) Hyosung kept an embarrassed smile on her face as she pulled out a smaller bag from one of her shopping bags. Putting her shopping bag back down onto the floor, she held the small bag out to Daehyun with both hands. She kept her gaze down, waiting for Daehyun to accept the bag. Feeling four different pairs of eyes on him now, Daehyun couldn’t help but force himself to accept the bag before setting it down onto the table in front of him. “You didn’t have to get me anything… I mean, I barely even know you.” (DH)

“I know, but I’m determined!” (HS) Hyosung’s eyes widened as she quickly covered with the tips of her fingers. A small giggle escaped her lips before she quickly fixed her hair. “I mean… It’s for new friendships. Just accept it, okay? I don’t usually buy presents for males.” (HS)

Daehyun forced himself not to make it seem obvious that he wasn’t okay with something like this. Maybe if he was younger, he would have accepted it so easily, but now… well, Daehyun wasn’t exactly one to accept everything given to him. Still, he smiled on as he slightly bowed his head in thanks. “Thank you… I’ll open it when I get home.” (DH)

“Oh, you should open it now! I have to see if you’ll like it and if it’ll fit.” (HS) Daehyun rubbed the back of his head as he attempted to figure out what to say. What Hyosung said did make sense. If it turned out that he didn’t like what he got or it didn’t fit, then it would be problematic if he held onto it despite not liking it or it not fitting.

“Well… alright. Let’s see if it fits then.” (DH) He did wonder what it possibly could be. With a bag this small, it had to be jewelry, though… Daehyun was hoping that it wasn’t. He didn’t usually wear jewelry since he didn’t want to get it messed up. Since he worked often, there weren’t many good times or places to be wearing jewelry. Still, he couldn’t really bring himself to rejecting a gift.

Opening the bag open, Daehyun looked into the bag before his eyes landed on the top of the box. He already knew that it was a watch, which he didn’t really mind. At least watches would help him keep track of the time as opposed to constantly bringing out his phone, but watches were generally expensive. Taking out the box, Daehyun had just opened it when in that instant, he already knew that he couldn’t accept it. “Wow… um… Hyosung, this is nice and all, but… isn’t this expensive? I can’t accept this…” (DH)

“You HAVE to accept it! Please? I think it suits you a lot! It’s really nice looking like you.” (HS) Hyosung instantly looked away as an embarrassed smile came onto her face. She hadn’t expected to say something like that, but it had slipped out of regardless of her intentions. Luckily, Daehyun was focused far too much on the brand name of the watch to realize Hyosung’s true intentions.

“Are you sure? I mean… I heard this brand can go over five-hundred…” (DH)

“I’m sure! Now, do you like it? Does it fit? Go on! Try it on!” (HS) Daehyun looked over at Young Jae for some assistance, but it seemed like he wasn’t going to be receiving any at that moment. With a small sigh, Daehyun took the watch carefully out of the box before undoing the latch. Slipping the watch on, Daehyun closed the latch before turning his wrist here and there. It was definitely a nice looking watch, but it also made itself blatantly obvious that it was an expensive watch. “Well? What do you think? Doesn’t it suit you?” (HS)

 “It looks nice, but-“ (DH)

“Great! Make sure to wear it often, alright? It looks really great on you.” (HS) Well, it looks like he was stuck with the watch. It was nice, but again, he felt very awkward accepting something this nice and this expensive. Heck, Daehyun would have been fine with just getting additional food as a gift, but a watch? Well, there was nothing he could do about it now.

“Thank you…” (DH)

“You’re welcome! I’m so glad you like it! Me and Tiffany have been shopping for hours looking for the perfect gift for you.” (HS) Daehyun rubbed the back of his head as he put the watch box back into the bag before putting the bag onto the floor. Why would they go through so much trouble to get him the ‘perfect’ gift? They barely even knew each other!

While everyone was talking, Young Jae was staring at Daehyun’s watch. He had been staring the entire time, taken by complete surprise that Hyosung had gotten something so extravagant for Daehyun AND managed to get him to keep it. If Daehyun was capable of accepting a watch that expensive, why couldn’t he accept the money?! Anyway, how was he supposed to top that?! Young Jae wanted to get something that would be just as extravagant for Daehyun! After finding out about that Teddy bear, Young Jae just had to return the favor somehow… but how exactly was he supposed to do that?

Maybe he could get Daehyun a ring? Would that be acceptable? Was it okay for a male to give another male a ring without raising suspicions? Oh! Maybe it could be a friendship ring instead! That could be acceptable… right? If women were allowed to get friendship rings, why couldn’t two men do it? Or maybe he could get Daehyun a necklace. That was always nice to have, right? Maybe it could be a necklace that complimented Daehyun’s delicious skin.

… Did he just think that?

Why was he thinking such things?! He wasn't erse and yet, it seemed like he had discovered a whole new section of his mind that he hadn't known he had. Was it because of Kyungsoo? Was this all Kyungsoo's fault? It had to be that bastard's fault! Why else would he have thought something erted about Daehyun?! After all, he had only just discovered these feelings a few days ago! How could he have such erse thoughts about him already?

Shaking his head, Young Jae pushed any jewelry ideas away. After all, he couldn’t just give Daehyun jewelry! It was like copying Hyosung’s idea with the watch. Plus, he didn’t even know if Daehyun wore jewelry often. From what he’s seen, the most he’s seen Daehyun wear was a plain bracelet meaning his jewelry options must have been fairly limited. No, it had to be something else. Clothes? No… too generic. A house? No… Young Jae doubted Daehyun would willingly accept a house. Oh! Maybe he could just give Daehyun a car so that Jongup could take the truck. Yeah… that seemed like a nice idea. It’s something that Daehyun could easily use! Maybe he could go with that.

After a few minutes had passed, they had given their orders once they had received their drinks. Tiffany and Hyosung were currently talking with Daehyun in order to get to know him better, which was making Young Jae a bit nervous. He didn’t want them to get too close, so he needed to do something to distract Daehyun from the conversation. The question was… what was he supposed to do in order to successfully distract?

In that instant, an idea came to his head. With a sly smile, Young Jae shifted his eyes here and there, making certain that there was no attention on him before he began to slowly slide downwards in his seat just enough so that he could reach out a little easier. He made certain that he didn’t look too obvious as he did this, his eyes constantly looking here and there so as to keep an eye out.

Reaching out as best as he possibly could with his foot, Young Jae slowly felt around for a brief moment. When his foot came into contact with something, it seemed like it didn’t affect anyone on the surface, but he did feel it move away. Moving a little more, Young Jae found it once more before seeing Daehyun just barely look over at him. When Young Jae gave a small wave, Daehyun smiled a bit before turning his attention back to the conversation.

Perfect! He found whom he was looking for. Young Jae just now had to find out how best to distract his attention even further. Raising his foot a little, Young Jae rubbed his foot against Daehyun’s leg, which caused Daehyun to briefly glance over at him with a single brow raised before he went back to the conversation. Young Jae didn’t know if that was a good look or a bad one, but at least he had received his attention yet again.

No, no… He needed to behave himself. Sitting up once more, Young Jae held onto the edge of the table as he lightly tapped the tips of his fingers atop the wooden surface. If he didn’t behave himself, then he may end up receiving more weird looks from Daehyun and that was something Young Jae should attempt to avoid. As long as he played his cards right, then Daehyun and Hyosung most definitely won’t end up together.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Instead of behaving like he had told himself, Young Jae had been plotting the entire time. Somehow, someway, he was going to distract Daehyun from the conversation and he was going to succeed in a graceful manner. Well, graceful wasn’t exactly the word that he would have used, but it was a distraction nonetheless! Either way, it may have taken him about twenty minutes to think of something, but he definitely had been able to come up with something that may potentially work. He just needed to use Daehyun’s skills against him!

What may those skills be?

Well… Daehyun is quite versed in terms of healthcare, right? So that means that Young Jae had to hurt himself to an extent that would cause Daehyun to want to check and make sure that he was alright. It was a good idea in his head, but not necessarily something that was nice to actually enact. Still, any idea was better than no idea at all.

Turing his hands, he had a firm hold of the underside of the table as he slightly bit his bottom lip. He needed to make it as convincing as possible, otherwise his plan wouldn’t work out at all. Quickly, he ran his plan through his head three, maybe four times, before he decided that there wasn’t anything wrong with it. Taking in a deep breath, Young Jae stood up as fast as he possibly could, making certain to hit his thighs on the back of his hands while also lifting the table for just a brief moment.

Everything on the table shook from Young Jae’s actions, though not enough to knock over anything luckily. Quickly looking up at Daehyun, the second he made eye contact, Young Jae quickly shut his eyes tightly as he began to let out the best-pained groan that he could muster. “O-Ow…! Ah… uh… it hurts a lot…!” (YJ)

“Are you okay, Young Jae? Does it hurt a lot?” (TF) Young Jae peeked out at the others, his eyes shifting here and there to see the concerned look on everyone’s face… except Yongguk’s. He could tell that Yongguk knew exactly what he was up to and was merely amused by his actions.

“Ah… um… y-yeah… it hurts a lot! I, uh… I should, uh… get it checked?” (YJ)

“Let me help you.” (DH) Young Jae quickly nodded as he had an internal victory shout. His plan seemed to be working and he definitely wasn’t going to let this opportunity slip from his grasp. It was just too perfect of an opportunity to just let get away from him!

Once Daehyun had gotten up to his feet, the two began to make his way over to the restroom. As they approached their destination, Daehyun ran over what needed to be done in his head. If they were going to make sure that Young Jae wouldn’t end up with a bruise on both legs, they would have to go back to his house and apply an ice pack to both thighs. For now though, he just needed to see if Young Jae’s thighs looked or felt as bad as Young Jae said they did.

Inside of the restroom, Daehyun looked around and noted that there currently wasn’t anyone here. Putting his hand on Young Jae’s back, Daehyun led Young Jae towards the largest stall before having them both enter it. Closing the stall behind them, Daehyun turned to a rather confused looking Young Jae. Letting out a small sigh, Daehyun rubbed the back of his head as he decided to be as blunt as possible. “Take off your pants.” (DH)

“W-What?!” (YJ)

“What did you think needed to be done? Take off your pants.” (DH) Young Jae attempted to keep a calm face, but internally, he was panicking. What was he supposed to do?! It probably would have been better if he had gotten injured on his hand or something, but it was a little too late to be rethinking his plan. He just… needed to somehow figure out how to get out of this situation before it became a little more awkward than it should have been.

“I, uh… I’m actually feeling better! It doesn’t hurt as much as I thought it did, so uh… let’s just go, yeah?” (YJ) Just as Young Jae took a step towards the stall door, Daehyun sidestepped and put an arm out to block his way. Looking at Daehyun, Young Jae could see that Daehyun wasn’t about to let him go so easily. “Come on, Daehyun… Really! I’m fine! Promise with all my he-” (YJ)

“You don’t always keep your promises… Pants down. Now.” (DH) Young Jae probably shouldn’t have mentioned any sort of promise, considering the fact that it seemed like a sore topic now. He could see that Daehyun wasn’t amused whatsoever, which made Young Jae worry a bit. In an attempt to keep Daehyun from getting anymore annoyed, Young Jae decided to just follow Daehyun’s instructions so that he could see for himself that he was alright.

As he began to undo the button on his pants, Young Jae could feel his face and ears beginning to heat up. He really couldn’t believe that he was doing this, in a public restroom of all places, but there wasn’t anything that could be done about it. “Are you… sure that I have to… take my pants off? Can’t we just check it with my pants on…?” (YJ)

“We have to see if there’s any obvious signs on the surface right now, then again later to see if you start to swell.” (DH) Young Jae let out a small sigh as he finished undoing his pants. Biting his bottom lip and closing his eyes tightly, Young Jae slowly began to lower his pants down. He was trying hard to keep his mind off of everything, but he was already finding it difficult to keep his… private area from reacting, especially with the sudden air that was now touching his thighs. “Hold still while I check. You can just keep your pants around your knees, so just spread your legs.” (DH)

Young Jae did as he was told, but he made sure to adjust his shirt so that it covered his private area. Once Daehyun was crouched low, Young Jae looked away as he tried to keep his mind from turning to erse thoughts. He could feel Daehyun’s fingers touching his thighs, pressing here and there. When he wasn’t pressing against his thigh, his fingertips seemed to just glide across his skin. It may not have been the inside of his thighs, but it was still enough to continually make his private area react. “Does this hurt?” (DH)

“N-No…” (YJ)

“How about this?” (DH)

“N-No…” (YJ)

“Hm…” (DH) Since there was no pain and only slight pink marks, Daehyun was certain now that Young Jae had been faking it. Though, why would he do that? Briefly looking up, he stared for a brief moment before it registered to him that Young Jae was currently sporting a tent of sorts. Raising a single brow, he looked up at Young Jae, whom was currently looking up at the ceiling. “Young Jae… we need to talk.” (DH)

“Talk? Is it because I’m fine, right? We should get going if that’s the case!” (YJ) Just as Young Jae had begun to bend down to pull his pants back up, Daehyun had quickly reached up and had a firm hold onto Young Jae’s member, causing Young Jae to gasp as he instantly froze in place. Daehyun looked up at Young Jae, seeing the surprise on Young Jae’s face as they stayed like this. Pulling up a little bit, Daehyun took note of Young Jae biting his bottom lip, most likely to keep himself from showing any reactions. “W-What are…” (YJ)

“We have to talk. I’m not letting you avoid it.” (DH) As if to reinforce his words, Daehyun tightened his hold before tugging a little bit. Young Jae let out a small whine, but he cut himself off when he remembered where they were. Young Jae bit his bottom lip once more as he tried to think. They couldn’t exactly talk here, but Young Jae also didn’t exactly want to have a talk. It sounded like he was in trouble, which he technically was, but he knew he couldn’t avoid it. “Well? Will you talk with me?” (DH)

“C-Can we talk somewhere else… where you’re NOT holding my hostage?!” (YJ) Young Jae waited as he saw Daehyun thinking for a moment. Would he accept his proposal? Would go along with what he asked? Young Jae truly hoped so because oddly enough, this was starting to turn him on even more and Young Jae could feel currently throbbing under Daehyun’s grasp.

“You’ll keep your word…?” (DH)

“I promise! I’ll really keep my promise and have a talk with you! Please can you let go now?” (YJ) Daehyun was a little hesitant, but he decided to trust Young Jae’s words for the time being. Slowly, he loosened his grip little by little before he finally released Young Jae from his grasp. Standing up, Daehyun smoothed out his clothes before looking at Young Jae.

“We’ll talk later then, at my apartment.” (DH) With a small smile, Daehyun gave Young Jae’s shoulder a quick pat before he turned and left the stall. Letting out a relieved sigh, Young Jae pulled his underwear forward as he softly rubbed where Daehyun had been holding it. Well, at least Daehyun hadn’t been too rough; otherwise Young Jae may have really needed to go to a hospital.

Once he had lost his stiffness and his private area was feeling well enough, Young Jae pulled his pants up and closed it up before stepping out of the stall. He really hoped that their talk later wasn’t going to be anything bad, but what could he do? He already promised Daehyun that he would keep his word, so he couldn’t run away and hope for the best. Though… his mind did begin to drift towards something very important.

What was he supposed to do about Mister Top Hat?!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

[[ My Own Thoughts:

Not much happened, buuuut….
At least Young Jae is attempting to keep Daehyun single.
Now… how to get Daehyun and Young Jae together…

I also apologize for offending anyone for certain word usage with no warnings ;;...

Anyway~
Happy Valentines Day >3<…
I hope everyone is having a lovely day. X3 ]]

Chapter 48: I swear this is like one of the best fanfic I have ever read. The childhood part was really interesting and nicely done, I wish you would detail some scenes but that's okay. And now... I don't know where you are going with this but I feel so excited. I am sad for Jin though because for the first time, he found someone important and yet, he lost it. That's so cruel you know. R. I. P Taehyung ~ ;-; Kyungsoo is a freaking bastard, hope he would end up in prison. Seungjong too! Feels like you are plotting something with him haha! Especially since he didn't get his revenge. Damn.... Daehyun will get to suffer again. X) about DaeJae, I love how slow you are making it. That's frustrating and sweet at the same time. And BangHim gosh, I want them to be together officially. But each time something interrupt them. X) is their couple going to be part of your plot or is it not that important? That's funny because I thought from the childhood that Himchan would have ended up with Sunny ~ By the way, that's been a long time we haven't seen her, is she going to make a cameo haha?
I also found it funny how Zelo and Jongup didn't like each other and how dependant Junhong seems to be towards Jongup when they both grew up haha! I actually laughed a lot when they bickered back then and now Junhong likes his hyung haha! Funny ~ Anyway I'm just going to end this review because I spent the last four nights reading these 48 chapters, I feel like I'm not making any sense anymore haha! Well, fighting for the next chapter, I am kind of excited to read it now! Fighting!!!!
