“How can you... wear these things so comfortably..?” (YJ) Daehyun looked up to see just how disgusted Young Jae looked. Judging by his posture, he was most definitely uncomfortable while wearing the bowling shoes. It was a bit funny, which was probably the reason why Daehyun was trying hard not to laugh, but it was also a bit sad. Well, if Young Jae ended up taking a liking to bowling, maybe they could get him a pair of bowling shoes of his own. That way, he wouldn’t have to wear the rental shoes that the bowling alley provided.

“I’m used to wearing them. I used to go bowling often a few years ago, so it doesn’t really bother me.” (DH) He used to bowl? Wouldn’t that be considered a hobby? So, then, why hadn’t Daehyun brought it up before? Well, it didn’t matter. They were here and that meant that he could see Daehyun’s skills in action! Young Jae really couldn’t wait to see what Daehyun had in store, but of course, he tried his best to contain his excitement. After all, he had an image to uphold, despite the fact that he’s broken that image quite a number of times already. He didn’t know why, but he just assumed that he had already grown being comfortable around Daehyun. “So.. I guess this is your first time bowling, right” (DH)

Young Jae stiffened just a bit as they stared at one another. Was it really that obvious that he hadn’t gone bowling before? Okay, sure, he couldn’t stand wearing the rental shoes, but it could have been possible that he had gone bowling before! Clearing his throat and sitting up straight, Young Jae rubbed the back of his head as he nervously smiled. “Of course I’ve played before! I can um.. knock all of the pins down easily!” (YJ)

Daehyun smiled as he narrowed his eyes a bit. He did kind of suspect that what Young Jae was saying was a lie, but at the same time, he couldn’t help but feel as if it was a challenge. Getting up to his feet, Daehyun made his way over towards their bowling balls before picking up his. He looked at Young Jae, grinning happily as he put his fingers into the holes. “Wanna have a little competition? Loser has to do one thing that the winner asks for?” (DH)

In that instant, Young Jae’s eyes widened as he swallowed nervously. Was Daehyun doing that on purpose? Despite the fact that he wanted to deny Daehyun’s suggestion, Young Jae had his pride to worry about! Well, that, and the fact that he had just told Daehyun that he could knock down the pins easily. So.. that meant that he was kind of in a difficult position. Chuckling nervously, Young Jae nodded a bit as he hesitantly gave a thumbs up. “Y-Yeah... uh.. I-I think that’s a good idea.. Loser has.. to do one thing that the winner asks for.. anything that the winner asks for.” (YJ)

“Great! I’m going first.” (DH) As Young Jae gave that nervous nod, Daehyun turned towards their lane as he took in a deep breath. Young Jae watched, a bit marveled by how concentrated Daehyun seemed as he stood there. He held his breath, biting his bottom lip as he watched Daehyun finally beginning to step forward. The momentum built as Daehyun quickened his pace a bit before bringing his arm back and then forward. Once it was at the perfect position, Daehyun released the bowling ball, the ball practically flying completely down the middle of the lane before crashing into the bowling pins. Daehyun grinned a bit as he shot a fist into the air. Turning towards Young Jae, Daehyun made his way over to the male as he sat down next to him. “Phew.. Guess I still have it. It’s your turn.” (DH)

“Y-Yeah.. I’ll.. uh.. I’ll try my best to beat you.” (YJ) Getting up from his seat, Young Jae swallowed nervously as he slowly made his way over towards the bowling balls. He had picked one that was light enough for him, but he wasn’t necessarily certain if the weight of the bowling ball had any importance to the game. Picking his bowling ball up, he stared at the three holes with a bit of confusion. Why were there only three holes? Wouldn’t it make more sense to have five? Though.. since there were three, what fingers was he supposed to use?

He would have asked Daehyun for help, but he didn’t want to seem like a beginner in front of his eyes. Biting his bottom lip once more, Young Jae stuck his index finger and middle finger into the top holes as he stuck his thumb into the bottom one. Taking in a deep breath, he turned to look at Daehyun, whom gave him a quick smile and a thumbs up, before Young Jae turned back towards the lane. Walking up to where Daehyun had been standing before, Young Jae furrowed his eyebrows as he tried his best to calm the butterflies that were fluttering around in his stomach. He just needed to walk really fast then roll the bowling ball like Daehyun had done so. It was like.. skipping a rock in water. Simple, right?

While Young Jae was busy trying to gather up as much of his strength as possible, Yongguk watched with amusement as he watched the two playing, a smirk playing across his lips. He was quite interested to see the outcome of this game, especially since Young Jae wasn’t necessarily the quickest learner. Noticing this smirk, Jin leaned forward a bit as he nudged Yongguk. “What’s that look for?” (JI)

“Hm? Oh, well, Young Jae hasn’t exactly gone bowling before, so.. I’m interested to see how this’ll turn out.” (BY) Jin slowly nodded as he sat back in his seat. Ignoring the fact that he still didn’t know Yongguk’s name, Jin could at least still get other bits of information out of him. Thanks to what Yongguk had said, Jin couldn’t help but be curious as to how this would turn out as well. After all, since Young Jae didn’t know how to play, that meant that Daehyun would have to step up and show him!

As the two watched with a little too much interest, Young Jae tried to clear the lump in his throat before he closed his eyes and began walking forward. Well, it would have been considered walking, but Young Jae had more or less begun fast walking and with the fact that his eyes were closed, well, he didn’t exactly have the capability to catch himself before...

The second he had let the ball slip out of his hand, Young Jae’s foot slipped the second it passed the border line that people were supposed to stay behind. A loud yelp escaped his lips as his eyes quickly shot open, the world beneath him quickly colliding into him, or rather... he collided with the world itself. Laughter could be heard from the nearest people whom had been watching, to which Young Jae wanted to just run away and hide. As he began to push himself up, he fought back the tears that threatened to escape, trying hard not to show his old self, the self that he wanted to leave behind. As he sat there, he felt an arm around his shoulders, which caused him to jump a bit before he looked up at Daehyun, whom had a worried look on his face. “Are you alright? Are you feeling any pain anywhere?” (DH)

“N-No... I-I’m fine..” (YJ)

“Are you sure? Let me check really quick.” (DH) Daehyun was certain that Young Jae should be in pain at the moment. It was a rather rough landing from what he had seen and if left unchecked, Young Jae could end up with bruises of sorts. Plus, he was also certain that Young Jae had hit his head during that landing. Young Jae could potentially end up with a concussion, to which they would definitely have to go see a doctor to make certain that it wasn’t anything too serious. “Let’s go over to the chairs so that I can check you comfortably.” (DH)

“R-Right...” (YJ) Helping Young Jae up onto his feet, Daehyun helped Young Jae over to the benches before setting Young Jae comfortably into one of the seats. Sitting next to Young Jae, Daehyun smiled a bit as he motioned his head towards the other side of Young Jae.

“Can you face that way?” (DH) Young Jae nodded a bit before he turned his back towards Daehyun. Furrowing his eyebrows slightly, Daehyun raised the back of Young Jae’s shirt, which instantly caused Young Jae to gasp as his face instantly reddened. He would have said something, but he knew that Daehyun most likely knew what he was doing.

Examining Young Jae’s back, Daehyun pressed random spots here and there, specifically the spots that had begun to turn red from the impact. There didn’t seem to be any sort of sharp reactions from Young Jae so far, but they needed to check up on it again later to see if it would bruise. Of course.. it would be better to avoid bruising by putting ice on it, so they would have to go quickly do that. Massaging these areas would be important too since it would help encourage blood flow. “Any pain so far?” (DH)

“Mm... Only a little.. but I’m still in a bit of pain from when I fell..” (YJ) Daehyun chuckled quietly as he continued his examination.

“Oh? I thought you said you were fine!” (DH) Daehyun gave Young Jae’s shoulders a firm squeeze, indicating that he was just kidding around with him. Once he was done examining Young Jae’s back, he lowered Young Jae’s shirt before he gently guided Young Jae to tilt his head back. Moving in a little closer, Daehyun slowly sifted his fingers through Young Jae’s hair, examining Young Jae’s scalp as best as he could. He wasn’t exactly that well educated in terms of health, but he knew the general signs. There was definitely a red spot from when Young Jae had hit his head and from what he could guess, it looked like it would end up swelling. He just wasn’t entirely certain, but it was better to play it safe than sorry. They needed to ice it for about ten to twenty minutes to prevent the swelling, maybe even longer. “I’m gonna go get some ice for your head, alright?” (DH)

“A-Ah.. um.. Is it necessary?” (YJ) As Young Jae heard Daehyun get up from his seat, Young Jae looked up at Daehyun, whom smiled a bit.

“I’m not really sure.. but it’s better to be safe than sorry. If you start to feel light headed, tell me right away, alright? We have to go see a doctor right away if that’s the case.” (DH) Young Jae nodded a bit, which had Daehyun grin before he began to make his way over towards the food bar. As Young Jae watched Daehyun, he couldn’t help but wonder how Daehyun seemed to know exactly what to do when he, himself, hadn’t even thought about the consequences about not getting himself checked out. Well.. it may have been because Daehyun truly wanted to be a doctor while he was being forced to become one. Okay, so he technically chose to be a doctor. It was definitely better than becoming some sort of CEO for a company like Kyungsoo was doing. In a way, he was actually rather glad that Kyungsoo was inheriting the company instead of him. “Here. I hope this’ll help.” (DH)

The second the tissue covered ice came into contact with Young Jae’s head, it took a second or two before chills were sent down Young Jae’s spin. Taking in a deep breath, he let out a sigh before reaching up and accidentally holding Daehyun’s hand. Both men stiffened a bit as they reddened before Daehyun slowly slipped his hand out from underneath Young Jae’s hand so that Young Jae could hold the ice in place. Sitting down in front of Young Jae, Daehyun smiled a bit as he made eye contact. “So.. do you really know how to play or is this your first time?” (DH)

“I..” (YJ) He lowered his gaze, unable to keep his eye contact with Daehyun as he continued to hold the ice up to his head. Young Jae felt guilty about lying, but that was his own fault for doing so in the first place. If he had simply just told the truth, then he would have saved himself from the embarrassment that had occurred not that long ago. Letting out a small sigh, Young Jae looked back up at Daehyun before nodding. “Yeah.. It’s.. my first time bowling.” (YJ)

Daehyun sighed a bit before smiling. Placing a hand on Young Jae’s shoulder, Daehyun gave a small thumbs up. “Don’t worry. I can teach you how to bowl. It wouldn’t be a fair contest if you didn’t even know how to play, right? When you’re ready, I’ll teach you. It’s still your turn after all.” (DH)

“It is?” (YJ) Looking up at the scoreboard, Young Jae could see that he had a horizontal slash on the scoreboard where the first box was. He didn’t necessarily understand the scoring in the game, but he was relatively certain that he didn’t get any points from his first try. Though.. he did wonder about the X by Daehyun’s name. Wasn’t an X supposed to represent a miss of sorts? If he recalled, Daehyun had been able to knock down all of the pins earlier, so why was there an X for his score? “What does the symbols mean?” (YJ)

“Symbols?” (DH) Daehyun looked up to see what Young Jae was looking at. It took him a moment, but when he did finally find out what Young Jae was talking about, Daehyun smiled once again as he leaned in a little closer before pointing up at the scoreboard. “The X means I got a strike. When you get a strike, you get extra points. It’s usually when you knock down all of the pins at once. As for the dash.. that means you didn’t hit any of the pins since your ball fell into the gutter when you threw it earlier.” (DH)

“Oh..” (YJ) Well, that definitely confirmed his suspicions. Of course, it’s not like he had the opportunity to pay any attention to where his ball was going. With what his situation had turned into, it was rather difficult to do so. He just needed to forget about what had happened and hope that he could somehow redeem himself by becoming at least good enough to get a few strikes here and there. “Can you.. teach me now?” (YJ)

“Are you up for it? Are you feeling well enough? I mean.. we’ve only been sitting here for about two minutes. You have to keep the ice on your head for at least eight more minutes.” (DH) Young Jae knew that Daehyun was just trying to look out for him, but he really wanted to become better at bowling so that he could prove to Daehyun that he wasn’t that bad. In fact, he wanted to prove that he could become a great bowler with Daehyun’s help, so he wanted to just jump into it with little to no hesitance.

“Will you.. teach me when eight minutes has passed? I can put the ice back on my head after I finish my turn.” (YJ) With Young Jae’s suggestion, at least it seemed like he was going to wait patiently and follow what Daehyun had suggested. As long as Young Jae was also feeling fine, then it should be alright if they continued to play. With a smile, Daehyun nodded a bit.

“Okay. I’ll teach you how to play.” (DH) Young Jae couldn’t help but smile as he sat back in his seat. Daehyun should be a good teacher, right? Since he tutors people on the weekends, then Daehyun has to be able to know how best to teach him the game. Of course.. teaching someone how to bowl was definitely different from teaching someone math or science. Well, one way or another, at least there was a possibility for them to get closer and redevelop that close friendship that they once had.

After the minutes had ticked by and Daehyun finally let Young Jae remove the ice from his head, both males walked up to the bowling balls. Picking up the bowling ball that he had chosen, Young Jae had just put his index finger into the hole yet again when Daehyun quickly pulled the finger out. Young Jae looked at Daehyun with confusion, but Daehyun merely shook his head as he moved Young Jae’s hand over before inserting Young Jae’s middle finger, his ring finger, and his thumb into the designated holes. “It’s these three fingers. I mean, you could technically use the fingers that you were going to use, but then the ball won’t have enough support on the left side. It’ll end up moving off to the side instead if you don’t know how to play using those fingers.” (DH)

As he slowly nodded, Young Jae aligned himself with the center of the lane before closing his eyes and taking in a deep breath. He held the bowling ball up to his chest, his nervousness kicking in once more. He was about to repeat his same actions as before, but he quickly froze the second he felt a pair of hands moving him here and there. “Stand more.. like this. Feet apart, shoulders relaxed, and loosen up! You’re too tense.” (DH)

Young Jae nodded a bit as he moved wherever Daehyun would move him. Once Daehyun felt like Young Jae was in the prime position, he folded his arms and stepped back a bit as he grinned. “There! Do you know what to do next?” (DH)

“I... um.. I just walk forward and throw it?” (YJ)

“Yes, but do you know how?” (DH) Young Jae turned to look at Daehyun before shaking his head. Smiling a bit, Daehyun walked over and picked up his bowling ball off of the rack before standing next to Young Jae. Assuming the position, Daehyun looked at Young Jae for a brief moment before looking forward. “Alright. Just watch me. I’ll go slowly and you try and mimic my movements, okay?” (DH)

“Yeah.. Okay.” (YJ) As Daehyun slowly began to go through the motions, Young Jae furrowed his eyebrows and bit his bottom lip as he tried to mimic it exactly as Daehyun. Sadly, he only ended up looking like an awkward penguin since he was rather stiff and moving almost robotic like. Letting out a small sigh, Daehyun set the bowling ball back onto the rack before walking up to Young Jae. Young Jae had a slightly disappointed look in his eyes, but he wasn’t about to give up just yet. “Was I doing that badly?” (YJ)

“A bit.. Here. Is it okay if I touch you?” (DH) Young Jae’s eyes widened as his face lit up, feeling as if his entire face was burning on the inside. Would this be alright? Well.. maybe it would be okay. After all, it’s not like they were dating anyway and besides, Young Jae had no romantic feelings for Daehyun, so it should be alright if Daehyun touched him. Plus, they were friends! It would be rather weird if friends couldn’t touch one another.. in a way that wasn’t what he was currently thinking about.

“A-Alright.. So.. Um.. I stand like this...” (YJ) Young Jae resumed the position that Daehyun had gotten him into earlier, then waited. However, what happened next wasn’t exactly what he had been expecting. In fact, it was far from the kind of touch that Young Jae had expected from Daehyun to do.

From behind, Daehyun had wrapped his arms around Young Jae, Daehyun’s hands overlapping Young Jae’s as  he set his chin on Young Jae’s shoulder. He moved in as close as possible, attempting to mimic Young Jae’s stance as their feet stood side by side. Young Jae could feel Daehyun turn his head to look at him, feeling that warm breath against his sensitive skin, which sent chills down his spine. Of course.. he tried his best to contain whatever feelings he had about the situation. After all, this was all simply to help him learn how to play the game, nothing else. Though, for whatever reason, whenever he felt Daehyun’s breath on his skin, his knees were close to giving out each and every time. “Okay. Are you ready? Just follow my movements. We’ll start off slow.” (DH)

“Y-Yeah..” (YJ) Trying his best to focus on the lesson, Young Jae tried to follow Daehyun’s movements as much as he possibly could. It was a bit difficult, but somehow, he managed to successfully follow Daehyun without tripping him up somehow. When they had gone through the motions about three times, Young Jae finally released the ball the second Daehyun told him to. With the bowling ball gone from his grasp, Daehyun released Young Jae from his hold and took a step back as the two watched the bowling ball travel down the middle of the lane. Since there wasn’t enough power behind it, the bowling ball was going rather slowly, but somehow, it stayed in the middle. It had managed to knock over the bowling pins in the middle, only missing about four bowling pins before the sweeper knocked the rest of the bowling balls down. Young Jae grinned happily as he turned to Daehyun. “Thank you!” (YJ)

Young Jae quickly walked up to Daehyun and gave him a quick hug before quickly walking over to the benches. His face was red when he realized what he had done, but hugs were perfectly acceptable! As long as it wasn’t long hugs with arms around the other’s waist or hands on the other person’s bottom, then there wasn’t anything to worry about. It was supposed to be just a friendly hug, but for some reason, Young Jae felt as if it meant something else. Taking in a deep sigh, Young Jae tried to calm himself down by watching Daehyun bowl during his turn.

Back over by the trio, Jin was trying his best to contain the obvious excitement he held by what Daehyun and Young Jae had been doing. There was just so much skin ship! Okay, so skin ship was relatively normal with Daehyun, but could he help it? It just felt like something that needed to be celebrated! All that needed to happen now was the magical kiss that would seal their relationship together and then BAM! Mission accomplished! Of course, if the mission really did end up being accomplished, then that meant that Daehyun had to buy him dinner for at least a week! It would definitely be worth it then. “You should calm down. Don’t want you having an out in public.” (BY)

Jin quickly shot Yongguk a death glare before elbowing him. “Hey, whatever the heck your name is! I’m free to be excited for them if I want to be.” (JI)

“Not too excited. I was worried you’d wet your pants with more than one liquid.” (BY) Jin merely rolled his eyes as he looked at Jongup, whom was tugging at his arm. He was about to ask Jongup what he wanted, but Jongup was rather quick with what he wanted to say.

“Can you bowl already? I want my turn now.” (JU)

“You’re more interested in bowling than Daehyun’s love life with Young Jae?!” (JI) Jongup took a moment to think before nodding. Letting out a small sigh, Jin got up from his seat before he quickly made his way over towards the bowling balls. Before he did anything else though, he looked up at the score for whatever reason and stared at the scores. So far, he was last, but that didn't matter now! If he just got his turn out of the way, then he could go back to watching Daehyun and Young Jae's unofficial date! Picking a random bowling ball up, he walked up to the boundary line and simply rolled the bowling ball down the lane, not caring where it would go. Not surprising enough, the ball fell into the gutter before continuing its trek. The bowling pins reset itself and Jin simply repeated the process before resuming his seat, allowing Jongup to finally get the turn that he had been waiting for for the past five to ten minutes.

Looking back at the duo, Jin went back to grinning as he began to fumble through his pockets. Just as he was about to pull his phone out, he quickly came to a stop before pulling his hand out and leaving his phone in his pocket. It would have been a bad idea to text Daehyun about what had just happened. After all, if he had done that, Daehyun would have instantly known that they were somewhere around, watching them. That would have been a big no-no and he was rather certain that Daehyun would end up getting back at him sometime later.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Time ticked by and about a game and a half had finally been played through before Daehyun’s stomach begun grumbling. He laid on the benches, holding his stomach as he covered his eyes with his arm. Could he help it? It was probably already lunch time and they haven’t had the time to go get something to eat yet.

Finishing up his turn, Young Jae looked up at the scoreboard for a moment. Daehyun had been getting mostly strikes, but there had been a number of times where he had either missed at least one pin or he ended up getting a spare, but Daehyun was still ahead. Turning to look at Daehyun, Young Jae looked at him with slight confusion before making his way over to Daehyun. Crouching down, he tilted his head to the side a bit before poking Daehyun’s side, causing Daehyun to jump a bit with surprise before quickly sitting up, staring at Young Jae with wide eyes. “What’s wrong?” (YJ)

Letting out a small sigh, Daehyun chuckled a bit as he rubbed the back of his head. He wasn’t necessarily certain if he should tell Young Jae, but it wouldn’t hurt to tell anyone. “I’m just hungry is all. I guess I’ll just go buy some food then. What do you want?” (DH)

“Oh! I’ll go buy the food! Don’t worry about it. I wanna take a break anyway.” (YJ) Daehyun thought on it for a moment before nodding. He had just started to take his wallet out to give Young Jae the money for the food, but Young Jae had began to jog off towards the food counter. Slowly sitting back in his seat, Daehyun rubbed the back of his head as he watched Young Jae. Well.. maybe it would be alright for Young Jae to pay for this too. With a small smile, Daehyun put his hands behind his head as he took the time to rest. Sure, he could have gotten his turn over with, but he kind of wanted to eat before he continued with the game.

Up at the counter, Young Jae stopped a small distance away as he looked up at the menu. The menu simply had finger foods on the list, which Young Jae wasn’t necessarily all that ecstatic about. Sure, he would eat sandwiches, crackers, cookies, anything like that, but he much preferred to use utensils. After all, finger foods weren’t exactly all that filling and more than likely, they weren’t all that healthy either. Then again, since when did he ever eat entirely healthy foods? Well.. it should be fine either way. He has had finger foods when he was younger, so this shouldn’t be that much of a problem. Hopefully, having food like this every now and then shouldn’t affect his health either.

As he continued going down the list, a thought finally crossed his mind. He hadn’t asked Daehyun what he wanted and here he was, about ready to order. Okay, sure, Young Jae had ran off to the bar without asking Daehyun, but he just wanted to make certain that he was the one buying the food! He had the money to spend, so he wanted to make sure that Daehyun was at least saving money for this one day. Still.. he needed to go ask Daehyun about what he wanted from here.

Slowly, he began to turn, taking a single step away from the counter as he kept his eyes on the menu. He was trying to memorize the things that were listed, but before he could go to quickly ask Daehyun, he suddenly felt a single hand push his shoulder. Furrowing his eyebrows, he quickly turned his head towards the perpetrator, whom gave him that usual smug-like smirk that he greatly loathed. “Hey bro. What are you doing at a place like this?” (DO)

“None of your business.” (YJ) Kyungsoo would have held that smirk of his, but one swift kick to his shin, and he was already hopping around, looking like a fool. Young Jae smirked as he chuckled a bit, folding his arms as he leaned on one leg. “That’s for pushing me.” (YJ)

Kyungsoo faked a laugh as he stabilized himself, resting his arm on the other person that he was currently with. Unlike Kyungsoo though, the person that he was currently with wasn’t exactly mean towards Young Jae. “So, you think you’re so damn good that you can go around, kicking me? Heh.. It doesn’t work that way.” (DO)

“Really? Well, it seemed to have worked so far.” (YJ) As if on cue, Young Jae soon kicked Kyungsoo’s other leg, causing Kyungsoo to shut his eyes tightly and grit his teeth in an attempt not to give Young Jae the pleasure of seeing him in pain. Young Jae let out another chuckle before his thoughts went back to Daehyun. “Well, as fun as it is to see you hopping around like an idiot, I have something to do.” (YJ)

“Hey! I forgot to tell you what I wanted.” (DH) Oh no.. Young Jae’s confident outlook quickly dissipated as he felt Daehyun’s hand around his waist. He hoped, even prayed, that Kyungsoo wasn’t seeing this, but Kyungsoo’s gaze was completely glued onto Daehyun’s hand. Instantly, Kyungsoo’s interest raised the second his gaze landed on Daehyun’s face. Putting on the best, well behaved face he could muster, Kyungsoo smiled as he tilted his head a bit.

“Oh! Who’s this?” (DO) Young Jae narrowed his eyes as he slowly moved in front of Daehyun. Daehyun was rather confused by Young Jae’s actions and he would have introduced himself, but it seemed like Young Jae wasn’t going to let him.

“None of your business. Now leave, Kyungsoo, before I tell mom that you’re here instead of at the business meeting that you were supposed to be at right now.” (YJ) Kyungsoo glared at Young Jae before looking at Daehyun. He eyed the male, examining Daehyun’s every feature, before looking back at Young Jae and smiling.

“Alright. I’ll leave for now. Next time.. you should be nice to your brother and introduce your friend to me.” (DO) Placing his hand on his friend’s shoulder, he turned around as he turned his friend as well before the two began walking. As Young Jae let out a relieved sigh, Daehyun placed his hand on Young Jae’s shoulder to grab his attention, causing Young Jae to turn around before looking at him.

“Hey.. What was that about? Is he really your brother?” (DH) Well, it was bound to happen sooner or later. Sure, Young Jae wanted to keep Daehyun from ever meeting his brother, but at least now he could warn Daehyun in order to keep him from interacting with Kyungsoo. With a small sigh, Young Jae gave a small nod as he rubbed the back of his head.

“Yeah... that’s my brother. His name is Kyungsoo, but you stay away from him, alright?! He’s a no good playboy who screws with every person he can get into his bed! He pretends to be nice, but he can easily stab you in the back when he doesn’t need you anymore and I’m pretty much stuck with him and I'm pretty certain that he was practically eye ing you just now!” (YJ) Young Jae let out an annoyed groan as he massaged his temples. Just explaining Daehyun about Kyungsoo brought about a headache and as much as he wanted to not think about Kyungsoo, he needed to make sure that Daehyun knew the full extent of how annoying Kyungsoo could be! Of course, his worries all seemed to melt as he suddenly felt a pair of hands turn him around before applying some sort of pressure on his shoulders.

“Hey now.. Don’t worry about it. I’ll keep my distance, but for now.. just relax.” (DH) Young Jae let out a small sigh as he let Daehyun give him a massage. It was surprisingly nice, to which Young Jae wondered if Daehyun had learned how to give massages professionally or if he was just a natural at it. It took a few seconds, but once Young Jae’s eyes landed on the menu once again, Young Jae looked over his shoulder at Daehyun.

“Hey... So, um.. what did you want?” (YJ)

“What I want?” (DH)

“You know.. to eat.” (YJ)

“Ah.” (DH) Leading Young Jae up to the counter, Daehyun said what he wanted as he continued to give Young Jae his massage. Once Young Jae said what he wanted, he paid for the food before they both picked up the food and made their way back to their lane.

As they were happily eating their food while having a nice conversation, off by the main entrance, Kyungsoo and his friend stood by the corner, watching Young Jae and Daehyun. Kyungsoo was leaning against the wall, his arms folded as he held a smirk. He was very interested to know what their relationship was and one way or another, he wanted to find out that information. “What do you think about them, Taehyung?” (DO)

“Probably just friends. Why?” (V) Kyungsoo held his smirk as a sort of plan began to develop in his head. If they were really just friends, then Young Jae wouldn’t have become so defensive over him. So what if they were friends? Kyungsoo has met a number of Young Jae’s friends before and that was probably the first time he’s seen Young Jae act that way. Still.. this bit of information just made things much more interesting.

“Leave.” (BY) Kyungsoo and Taehyung both turned to look at Yongguk, whom didn’t look amused whatsoever. Kyungsoo pushed himself off of the wall as his smirk remained. Of course the little dog would be here. Wherever the master went, the dog would follow. An amused chuckle escaped his lips as he adjusted his blazer.

“Heh.. Little doggy is so protective over his master. What. Are you jealous that your master isn’t giving you enough attention? Are you just so excited by the thought of having a much more attentive master that you had to come up and talk to me?” (DO) Yongguk’s facial expression didn’t change, which worried Taehyung.. not so much Kyungsoo.

“Come on.. We have to go.” (V) Kyungsoo scoffed a bit as he briefly glared at Taehyung, but nonetheless, he shifted his weight onto his other foot.

“Fine. We’ll leave for now.” (DO) Walking up to Yongguk’s left side, Kyungsoo pat Yongguk’s shoulder a bit, speaking low enough for only Yongguk to hear. “Don’t worry.. My interest isn’t on your master.. for now.” (DO)

Giving Yongguk’s shoulder a brief squeeze, Kyungsoo gave a quiet chuckle as he began walking. The second Taehyung began following after Kyungsoo, Yongguk turned his head to look at Young Jae and Daehyun. He couldn’t help but worry a bit about the two of them. Kyungsoo, although he seemed useless, was usually clever with his plans. Whatever he was planning, they had to be ready for it.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So much time had been spent at the bowling alley and somehow, it was already about two in the afternoon. Young Jae and Daehyun were currently walking back down the street, heading to Daehyun’s truck so that they could go to their next destination. During this walk, they were trying to come up with what they could possibly do next. With Daehyun’s truck as a mode of transportation, it helped broaden the list of options for the duo. Of course, there were still a number of thoughts that roamed around in their heads. "So.. I guess I have to do what you want now. Do you know what that is?" (YJ)

"You do..? Ah.. But you were just learning. Does that count?" (DH) Young Jae thought on the question for a brief moment. Did it count? Well, they agreed to these terms and nowhere had they said that they didn't have to do it anymore, so.. it still technically counted.

"Yeah.. It still counts." (YJ)

Sadly, it seemed like their time together would have to be cut short as a car slowly pulled up to them. Looking over at the car, the window rolled down, revealing a slightly smiling Yongguk behind the wheel. “Sorry to cut things short, but.. Young Jae, you have a schedule that you have to follow now.” (BY)

Young Jae had a slightly disappointed look on his face, but he quickly pulled himself together as he put a smile on his face. Turning to look at Daehyun, whom smiled in response, Young Jae rubbed the back of his head as he smiled a bit wider. “Sorry.. I guess that’s the end of our hanging out.” (YJ)

“Ah.. It’s alright. I understand. Let’s do this again sometime.” (DH) Young Jae nodded as he took a single step towards the car.

“Yeah.. Let’s do it again.” (YJ) Entering the backseat of the car, Young Jae looked up at Daehyun, whom quickly raised his right hand as he smiled a bit. As Yongguk began driving off, Young Jae quickly waved at Daehyun before Daehyun was no longer within his line of sight. Turning forward, Young Jae looked downwards as he begun to think.

What was this feeling he had? Was he.. really falling for Daehyun? No.. that couldn’t be it.. could it? His heart beat fast whenever he was around Daehyun, his face would heat up whenever Daehyun would touch him, his old personality seemed to come out whenever he was around Daehyun, and.. he melted upon feeling Daehyun’s breath on his skin. W-Wait! No! He couldn’t be falling for him! It was just simply.. confusion! Yeah. He was mistaking love for.. possibly.. well, he didn’t know yet, but he had to be mistaking love for whatever it was he was trying to think of! That... had to be the case. He just.. couldn’t fall in love with Daehyun, or any male for that matter.

Meanwhile, once the car had turned the corner, Daehyun finally turned around before he continued his trek towards his car. Today was definitely a great day, probably one of his best in a while. Just being around Young Jae seemed to brighten his day, but also being able to hold Young Jae in his arms like that?! It was definitely worth coming out today! Okay.. so he knew that he shouldn’t teach people anything that way, but it was the only thing he could think of to make certain that Young Jae knew how to bowl. Plus.. he saw it in a movie once. Sure, it was a male teaching his love interest, but Young Jae was his love interest! So.. it made sense, right? It was alright that he taught Young Jae that way, right?

Though.. if it wasn’t, then Young Jae would have said something. Maybe.. Young Jae was finally falling for him! Just the very thought seemed to brighten Daehyun’s smile as he walked down the sidewalk. Yes. Daehyun had to catch Young Jae’s heart and hold onto it.

Chapter 48: I swear this is like one of the best fanfic I have ever read. The childhood part was really interesting and nicely done, I wish you would detail some scenes but that's okay. And now... I don't know where you are going with this but I feel so excited. I am sad for Jin though because for the first time, he found someone important and yet, he lost it. That's so cruel you know. R. I. P Taehyung ~ ;-; Kyungsoo is a freaking bastard, hope he would end up in prison. Seungjong too! Feels like you are plotting something with him haha! Especially since he didn't get his revenge. Damn.... Daehyun will get to suffer again. X) about DaeJae, I love how slow you are making it. That's frustrating and sweet at the same time. And BangHim gosh, I want them to be together officially. But each time something interrupt them. X) is their couple going to be part of your plot or is it not that important? That's funny because I thought from the childhood that Himchan would have ended up with Sunny ~ By the way, that's been a long time we haven't seen her, is she going to make a cameo haha?
I also found it funny how Zelo and Jongup didn't like each other and how dependant Junhong seems to be towards Jongup when they both grew up haha! I actually laughed a lot when they bickered back then and now Junhong likes his hyung haha! Funny ~ Anyway I'm just going to end this review because I spent the last four nights reading these 48 chapters, I feel like I'm not making any sense anymore haha! Well, fighting for the next chapter, I am kind of excited to read it now! Fighting!!!!
