It was late at night and finally, Young Jae was home once again. He was quite tired and not all that aware of his surroundings. In fact, if anyone were to start speaking to him, he would give a small mumble without even giving him or her a small glance. So, whenever he was in this state, the employees already knew not to bother asking him anything.

Walking up the stairs and down the hallway, Young Jae sleepily made his way towards what he assumed was his bedroom. The backpack he had on was now being dragged along the floor as he began to slowly strip his jacket off. As he entered his bedroom, he immediately dropped whatever he was holding in front of the door before he began stripping away the majority of his clothes. He paused at the bed, his hands holding his pants as he pondered for a brief moment about whether he should take his pants off or not. Though, that thought went flying out of his head as a drowsy smile graced his lips.

Immediately, he slowly slid onto the bed before pulling the blanket over him. In that instant, he was out like a light.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Young Jae let out a small whine as he adjusted his position. Usually, the sun normally didn’t hit his face in the morning… or did it? He couldn’t remember and it was bugging him, but sleep was constantly pulling him back. Rubbing his face against the pillow, he smacked his lips a bit as he began to settle into his current position. Raising his hand a bit, he attempted to make the pillow feel more full, but every time he squeezed, he only felt firmness pushing back. In fact… the pillow wasn’t as soft as he remembered. It felt firm, yet… soft, but it wasn’t the kind of soft the pillows had.

Still, he merely pushed those thoughts away as he began drifting back to sleep. Sadly, any thoughts of sleep slipped through the cracks of his mind as he suddenly felt the pillow moving underneath him. His eyes shot open as he soon found himself staring at a color that was definitely not that of his pillows.

Was this a dream? If this was a dream, then whom was he lying on? His curiosity was getting the best of him as he slowly lifted the blanket that covered the lower half of this person’s body. In an instant, his eyes widened and his face turned a deep shade of red as he stared at the bulge that was making itself well known. Well, if it was just a dream, then maybe… it wouldn’t hurt to see how it looked like underneath the boxers.

Moving the blanket away, Young Jae bit his bottom lip for a moment before he placed his hand on the bulge. It only took him until now to realize that he was pitching his own tent, but he decided to ignore it merely because of his curiosity. Plus, he still didn’t know who was lying next to him.

Wait. That should probably be more important than figuring out how big this male’s equipment was. As tempting as it was to see another man’s… package… it was best not to see a complete stranger’s private area. Of course, if this was a dream like he was assuming it was, then the person in his bed right now should be none other than Daehyun.

Carefully pushing himself up to a sitting position, Young Jae looked at the man’s face before a tinge of embarrassment and excitement coursed through him. Yes, he was embarrassed to have another dream of Daehyun, but he was excited BECAUSE he was having another dream of Daehyun! Sure, what he was seeing now wasn’t real, but this was definitely the best version of Daehyun that he’s had so far.

Closely examining Daehyun’s body, Young Jae bit his bottom lip as he trailed his fingertips along Daehyun’s smooth skin. The somewhat tanned skin of his just seemed to be enticing to him. He couldn’t help but move his fingertips in a circle along Daehyun’s s, biting back any sort of temptation he had to just on them like a baby’s bottle.

Why was it so enticing?

Moving his gaze downwards towards Daehyun’s abs, Young Jae noticed that Daehyun definitely worked out. It was rather surprising, to be honest, but if he recalled, Woohyun is a fitness instructor now. Still, Daehyun definitely looked quite nice right now.

When he was done taking in as much of Daehyun’s torso as much as possible, his face moved downwards towards Daehyun’s bulge. He jumped a bit when he saw it twitch, but it just made Young Jae even more curious… and a bit more . Reaching forward, Young Jae continued to bite his bottom lip as he slowly began to lift the band of Daehyun’s boxers. His eyes only seemed to grow as he soon saw the hairs that would lead to the prize. He hadn’t even noticed that he had ended up folding the band inwards, catching the tip of his prize in the folds of it and causing it to lift in the progress.

Higher and higher the boxers were raised until finally, his prize slipped from its confined and smacked Daehyun’s body. In that instant, Daehyun jumped from the impact as he quickly sat up, moving backwards in the progress as he looked around with a confused and panicked look on his face. Through sleep-filled eyes, he took a moment before his eyes landed on Young Jae, whom was currently staring at him with a surprised look on his face. “W-Wha… Young Jae…? What… What are you doing in my room?” (DH)

“Y-Your… room…?” (YJ)

“Well, yeah a-…” (DH) Daehyun’s gaze had moved downwards the second he noticed that something did not feel right. His eyes widened as he saw his boxers now around his knees with the band of it still being held by Young Jae. Looking down, he noticed his own predicament as he accidentally cursed while pulling the closest pillow to him before covering his private area. Daehyun then leaned forward and pulled the band of his boxers out of Young Jae’s hands before pulling his boxers up as much as he could. “What are you doing?!” (DH)

Young Jae was far too surprised to realize anything at that specific moment. His own state fused with a full view of Daehyun’s package had dazed him. When Young Jae felt a punch to his arm though, after moving away to rub his poor arm, he soon realized that this was far from a dream. “What the hell were you thinking, Young Jae?!” (DH)

“W-Wait! I promise! It isn’t what it looks like!” (YJ)

YEAH?! Then what was it then?! You clearly wanted SOMETHING from me!” (DH)

“Ye- I-I mean, no! I mean… GAH! I SWEAR! I didn’t mean to do something! I thought I was dreaming and I was curious!” (YJ)

DREAMING?! THAT’S YOUR EXCUSE?!” (DH) Daehyun quickly pulled his boxers up completely before using the pillow to hit Young Jae.

“H-Hey! Stop! I-I’m sorry! Stop it!” (YJ) Young Jae turned away as he used his arm to try and protect himself from the pillow. He was kicking himself for even thinking that this had all been a dream, especially since it felt far too real to be one. Though… he almost didn’t regret it. He got to see Daehyun’s… thing, and he was rather... happy about it. “I-I can make it up to you! I swear I can!” (YJ)

“HOW. DO. YOU. EXPECT. TO. DO. THAT?!” (DH) With each word spoken, Daehyun hit Young Jae even harder with each swing of the pillow. Getting a bit frustrated with each attack, Young Jae managed to grab the pillow before pulling it and in turn, causing Daehyun to fly forward and causing both of them to fall over.

Daehyun gasped, his eyes wide as he stared down at Young Jae, whom was staring at him with equally wide eyes. Young Jae could practically feel Daehyun’s breath against his skin and it was just getting him all over again. With a bite of his bottom lip, Young Jae wondered if he should go through with it or not. “I… uh… Why did you pull me…?” (DH)

“Um… uh… you uh… wouldn’t stop hitting me…?” (YJ)

“Well… uh… you um… deserved it…?” (DH) A knock at the door quickly made Daehyun panic as he took hold of the blanket and threw it over them. In that instant, he pressed his body against Young Jae’s as much as he could, ignoring his hardened state as he heard the door open.

“Daehyun? Are you awake?” (JU)

“Y-Yeah! Uh… what is it?!” (DH) The two remained quiet, waiting for Jongup to say something in response. Daehyun really hoped that Jongup wasn’t walking up to the bed, but there was no telling what Jongup might do. “Jongup? You there? What did you need?” (DH)

“Huh? Oh… uh… I was just gonna ask if you wanted to hang out Saturday. Jin has been wanting to hang out with us and he said that he wants you to pick where.” (JU) Daehyun took a moment to think as he adjusted his position a bit. Young Jae’s face turned a deeper shade of red upon feeling Daehyun’s body rubbing against his, but he continued to keep himself quiet.

“Uh… yeah… sure. I can hang out. Just ask Jin when and tell me when I go out and cook breakfast.” (DH)

“Okay.” (JU) With that, the duo heard the door close. Daehyun waited a few seconds or so before lifting the blanket off of their heads and over his shoulders. He quickly looked over at the door and let out a sigh of relief as he let his head hang downwards a bit. When he realized that his forehead was pressing against something not all that familiar, he lifted his head out of surprise as he saw Young Jae staring at him still.

“Ah! Uh… Sorry, Young Jae.” (DH) Daehyun pushed himself up to his knees, but when the cold hit his skin, Daehyun quickly pulled the blanket over his body as he quickly rolled off of Young Jae. Though… he rolled a little too much and when he felt himself roll off the bed, Daehyun had begun to curse, but he was cut off by the sound of a thud.

Young Jae sat up before quickly crawling over to the edge of the bed to look down at Daehyun. Daehyun let out a small sigh as he laid on his back, his gaze towards the window as he tried to think for a moment. He knew that Young Jae wasn’t the type to lie, so… maybe he shouldn’t have overreacted like that. Still, it was a bit overwhelming for his personal space to be invaded while he was sleeping, so he couldn’t help it.

Daehyun pushed himself up as he let out another sigh. Rubbing the bottom portion of his back, he looked up at Young Jae, whom was currently just staring at him now. How was he supposed to stay mad at Young Jae? Wrapping the blanket completely over himself, Daehyun got up to his feet before sitting on the bed. “Alright. Why are you in my room?” (DH)

“I… uh…” (YJ) Why, exactly, was he in Daehyun’s room? He could have sworn that this was his own room, but then again… he was a little too sleepy to notice his surroundings. Of course, that wasn’t really much of an excuse. “I… thought that this was uh… my room.” (YJ)

“… You do know that your room is on the opposite side… right?” (DH) Young Jae nodded a bit as he looked away. Why did he walk specifically towards Daehyun’s room? He had only been here maybe four or five times at most and already he was walking here on instinct? When he heard a sigh, Young Jae looked back up towards Daehyun. “It’s fine. Anyway, I’ll go cook breakfast now. Just… go back to your room and change.” (DH)

Young Jae nodded before getting off of the bed and walking towards the door. Along the way, he picked up all the clothes that he had stripped away, making sure to at least put his shirt on, before stepping out into the hallway. With the door closed, Daehyun let out another sigh before falling back onto the bed. He stared at a random spot on the bed in front of him, his thoughts roaming around for a moment before pulling the blanket over his head.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“Mom? You’re standing here again?” (YJ) Hanbi turned for a brief moment as she looked at Young Jae and gave a small smile. Turning her gaze back down, she stood quietly as she saw Young Jae come to a stop to her right side. “Is this place special or something?” (YJ)

“Oh? Have I not told you of this spot?” (MY)

“Mm… Not that I know of.” (YJ) Hanbi looked at Young Jae again before taking a hold of his arm and pulling him gently closer to her. When he was standing right next to her, she wrapped an arm around his arm before resting her head on his shoulder. Young Jae was used to his mother being close, but he knew that she only did this whenever she was reminiscing about something.

“This is the spot where you called me mommy for the first time. Don’t you remember?” (MY) Young Jae looked around for a moment, but he couldn’t exactly remember when the first time he had called her any sort of mother pronoun before. He had been, what, about ten or eleven? That was a little over ten years ago!

“No…? Was I supposed to?” (YJ) Hanbi laughed a little as she lifted her head. Looking up at Young Jae, Hanbi smiled proudly as she reached up and pinched Young Jae’s cheek a bit. Young Jae whined a little as he attempted to pull his head away, but Hanbi had already released her hold before looking back at the fountain in front of them.

“No. You don’t have to, but for me… it’s my greatest treasure. Kyungsoo has always been closer to your father and it was a little lonely whenever he chose to spend more time with your father, but then you came along and you gave me a special light that I thought I would never receive. I love you both equally, but… you, Young Jae, have been my greatest treasure. I will never understand why anyone would leave you like that.” (MY) Hanbi looked at Young Jae and smiled as she reached up and fixed Young Jae’s hair a bit. Young Jae was a little sad and also a little angry about remembering his old mother, but he couldn’t help but smile in front of his current mom. “Are you busy today?” (MY)

Young Jae took a moment to run today’s schedule through his mind before shaking his head in response. Hanbi smiled as she released Young Jae’s arm before taking a hold of both of his hands. “Then, will you spend the day with your mommy? I feel like we haven’t spent any time together lately!” (MY)

A small nod escaped from Young Jae, which seemed to instantly brighten Hanbi up. As she began walking, Young Jae absent-mindedly followed after her as he allowed himself to get caught up in his own thoughts. Regret of liking and kissing Daehyun ran through his mind and it was something he was no longer sure about. He wanted to be with Daehyun, he really did, but was going behind his mother and Tiffany’s back really worth potentially losing their trust worth it? Young Jae just didn’t know what to do, but then again… when did he ever know?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“I don’t know what to tell you. You’re digging yourself a deep hole.” (WH) Woohyun folded his arms, shaking his head in the process. Daehyun sighed as he leaned forward a bit. It was hard to keep himself out of this hole at this point, but maybe he could at least keep this figurative hole from getting any deeper.

“Yeah… I know, but it’s hard when I know that Young Jae feels the same way as me. How am I supposed to do the right thing when he won’t do it either?” (DH) As much as he wanted to help Daehyun out, Woohyun just didn’t see any sort of way to solve this predicament that Daehyun was in. He could just tell him to simply keep himself from getting anymore involved with Young Jae, but he already knew that something like that was difficult for Daehyun.

“I think you already know my answer.” (WH)

“I know, I know…” (DH) Daehyun let his head hang as he closed his eyes. He knew that he was too emotionally attached to Young Jae already to just drop everything. However, maybe, just maybe, if he let things go a bit further, then maybe they would be able to find out that they may not be meant for each other. The possibility of them becoming even closer was far too great, but… it was a risk that he needed to take. “So… what do I owe you anyway?” (DH)

“Hm? Oh. Lunch.” (WH) Daehyun nodded, though he wasn’t sure if he had a lot that he could spend for lunch. Even though he didn’t have many bills to pay now, he still wanted to continue saving money so that he could go to college one day too. “-istening? Let’s get going. (WH)

“Huh? Oh, okay.” (DH) Getting up from his seat, Daehyun dusted himself off before the two of them started walking. Woohyun wondered what was going through Daehyun’s head, but he knew that Daehyun would make the right choice. Though… the right choice wasn’t always the same choice to each person.

As they walked out of the gym that Woohyun worked at, Woohyun had begun to pull his car keys out when someone tapped the two of them from behind. They both turned around before a surprised smile came onto their faces. “Seohyun! What are you doing here?” (DH)

“Day off today. I thought I’d spend some time with old friends.” (SH)

“We’re about to go have lunch. You wanna join us then?” (WH) Seohyun gave a small nod before the three made their way towards Woohyun’s car. She looked at her two best friends, a smile showing up on her face as she began humming to herself.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“Have you tried asking?” (SH) Daehyun stared at Seohyun, a little dumbfounded that she would ask something like that so bluntly. Had this been about almost anything else, he probably would have had enough courage and sense to just simply ask. However, he couldn’t just go up to Young Jae’s parents and ask for their permission to date their son! It was an arranged marriage after all, so not only would he have to get Young Jae and Tiffany’s permission, he would have to get permission from both sets of parents. That wasn’t exactly going to be the easiest thing to do.

“Isn’t that a little difficult?” (DH)

“Maybe. But you won’t know the outcome until you try, right? Do you really want to date Young Jae?” (SH) Daehyun folded his arms as he leaned back in his seat. The answer was already clear in his heart, but his head was trying to tell him to turn the other way. Trouble was always best avoided, especially when that kind of trouble may not be fixable. “You’re overthinking it too much! Just go on and ask at least his mother. She seemed like a nice woman at the party.” (SH)

“Talking is nice and all, but do you really think they’ll cancel an arranged marriage? Think about it. They have the daughter of not only a family friend, but also the future heir to one of the top company’s in this country.” (WH) Seohyun picked up her cup as she weighed in Woohyun’s words. What he said may be right, but again, it wouldn’t hurt to try, right? Okay, so the cons are heavy, but if it works, then the rewards would prove to be great as well.

“You have to at least try, Daehyun. So what if Tiffany has so much to her name? It should be about what Young Jae wants, not what their parents want. I mean… it could be possible that even Tiffany doesn’t want to get married like this. At least talk to Young Jae and see what he thinks.” (SH) Daehyun rubbed the back of his head as he thought on it for a moment. It wasn’t a bad idea to just see where things could potentially go.

“Well… alright. I’ll give with your idea.” (DH)

“What? Re-” (WH) Woohyun let out a sigh as he leaned back in his seat. He had been certain that Daehyun would have decided to drop it all and just remain friends, but then again, he also knew that Daehyun was the type of person to go after what he wanted. “Ah, whatever. Let’s just enjoy the food when it gets here.” (WH)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“How is your end coming along?” (DO) Taehyung averted his gaze as he quietly mumbled to himself. Kyungsoo narrowed his eyelids as he stared at Taehyung, wondering why Taehyung was acting like this all of a sudden. Normally, Taehyung would just come out and say his progress in a professional manner. This time, however, it seemed like Taehyung was hesitant. Clearing his throat, Kyungsoo adjusted his position a bit before leaning forward slightly. “I will assume you didn’t hear me. How is your end coming along?” (DO)

“… It’s… moving slowly, but I am making progress.” (V) Kyungsoo didn’t like the hesitation in Taehyung’s words, but he smiled with a bit of satisfaction as he leaned back in his seat. As long as some progress was being made, then Kyungsoo can be patient for the time being.

“Good. Tell me when you’ve befriended those two. Once you’re finished, we can commence the next part of the plan.” (DO) Taehyung kept his gaze off to the side as he clenched his fists underneath the table. He preferred digging up information on rival companies as opposed to doing whatever it was Kyungsoo wanted to do now. It’s not like Young Jae was getting in Kyungsoo’s way, so why was he so obsessed with him? “Ah. That reminds me. You deserve some sort of bonus for your work. So, what do you want?” (DO)

“What do I want…?” (V) Taehyung looked at Kyungsoo for a brief moment before looking down at the table. He wanted to quit without worrying about getting harassed, but he wasn’t exactly certain if that was the right thing to say. If he played his cards right, then he could potentially make it out of his contract unscathed. Though… if he did that, then Jongup and Zelo may end up getting hurt from this. No. In fact, he knew that they were definitely going to get hurt because of this. “What are my options?” (V)

“Whatever you want. Money, clothes, shoes, maybe even a girlfriend… or a boyfriend if you swing that way.” (DO) Taehyung took a moment to consider his options while making certain to avoid eye contact with Kyungsoo. Now may not be the best time to take this bonus, so it might be best to take it at a good time.

“I’ll have to get back to you on that. I will be able to take my bonus later… right?” (V) Kyungsoo nodded, not aware of what Taehyung was planning. To Kyungsoo, Taehyung was just a little obedient puppet of his that he found use for. Though, even puppets needed a little sprucing up every now and then.

“Well, I am bored now. We’re going.” (DO)

“Huh? O-Oh, right…” (V) Taehyung quickly finished up his drink before getting up and following after Kyungsoo. He was worried about his choices, but realistically, if Kyungsoo found someone else to do the job, then Jongup and Zelo would be in an even more dangerous position. He needed to do something that would get Kyungsoo’s message across without doing anything to ruin their lives, but… what could he do?

Chapter 48: I swear this is like one of the best fanfic I have ever read. The childhood part was really interesting and nicely done, I wish you would detail some scenes but that's okay. And now... I don't know where you are going with this but I feel so excited. I am sad for Jin though because for the first time, he found someone important and yet, he lost it. That's so cruel you know. R. I. P Taehyung ~ ;-; Kyungsoo is a freaking bastard, hope he would end up in prison. Seungjong too! Feels like you are plotting something with him haha! Especially since he didn't get his revenge. Damn.... Daehyun will get to suffer again. X) about DaeJae, I love how slow you are making it. That's frustrating and sweet at the same time. And BangHim gosh, I want them to be together officially. But each time something interrupt them. X) is their couple going to be part of your plot or is it not that important? That's funny because I thought from the childhood that Himchan would have ended up with Sunny ~ By the way, that's been a long time we haven't seen her, is she going to make a cameo haha?
I also found it funny how Zelo and Jongup didn't like each other and how dependant Junhong seems to be towards Jongup when they both grew up haha! I actually laughed a lot when they bickered back then and now Junhong likes his hyung haha! Funny ~ Anyway I'm just going to end this review because I spent the last four nights reading these 48 chapters, I feel like I'm not making any sense anymore haha! Well, fighting for the next chapter, I am kind of excited to read it now! Fighting!!!!
