Married To A Playboy

Your POV

This is nervewrecking. I placed my palm over my chest, breathing in and out while I chanted words to myself. I was sitting on the chair, alone in the room. Finally, today was the day. I couldn't help but feel like exploding because my heartbeat was just extreme. I was feeling so nervous that goosebumps formed on my hands and my fingers were shivering uncontrollaby. Just a few minutes ago, I was reprimanded for ruining the make-up because my lips bled. I accidentaly bit it a little too hard.

My hands were holding each other while I heaved out another sigh, trying to look confident. The make-up artist that helped me with my make-up just finished a few minutes ago and left the room, telling me to calm down. But I just couldn't. I kept fidgetting, but at the same time, I was afraid that I would ruin the make-up again. I was finally prepared. Appearance-wise.

Knock Knock. Someone knocked the door, causing me to flinch while I looked up, hurriedly uttering a 'come in,'. The door knob turned and the door opened as Minah stepped in. Her head came in first as she took a peek. The moment she saw me, a wide smile was plastered on her face as she walked in awe into the room. She breathed out with a big smile while scanning me from head to toe.

"Wow...You look beautiful," she complimented me, blood rushing to my cheeks instantly receiving the comment. She walked closer as I motioned for her to take a seat beside me. She sat down, her eyes never leaving mine as she looked at me. It seemed as if we both ran out of words to say as we sat in sheer silence.

I wanted to start a conversation but I, too had no idea where to start because everything seemed to happen so fast. It seemed too me as if it was only yesterday that both Sehun and I graduated from high school and Minah finally accepted Sehun. I still couldn't believe it was finally happening. I was finally getting married to the one I love.

Her hands reached over to touch my gown, running her fingers along it while she smiled. "My dear sister..." she started as tears unknowingly had formed in my eyes. Her hands soon reached over to mine as she held onto it tightly, while she her lips. Was she nervous as well? "I guess it's finally time for me to let you go," she sighed.

"Minah..." I barely able to say her name. However, she interrupted me as she shook her head while her lips formed a straight line. "You must be happy alright? I'm sure Sehun would take good care of you. I'm sorry to have caused you so much trouble all these times. I was never a good sister in the first place. I'm really sorry." she apologised while tears escaped my eyes. "You didn't do anything wrong," I told her as I coudln't help but move closer to wrap my arms around her.

Her thumb swiped on my cheeks as she wiped away my tears. "Don't cry. Why are you crying? You're ruining your make-up." she insisted while a chuckle escaped her lips. "Promise me alright? Be happy with Sehun." she showed me her pinky while staring at me, nodding as she urged for me to promise her. I assured her with a smile as I hooked my pinky with hers.

"I'll be the happiest person in the world." I told her with confidence as I smiled at her, sniffling slightly while I wiped my tears away. It wasn't long before the door opened, Soohyun walking in as she squealed.

I guffawed at her as Minah stood up and shook her hands. Soohyun sure looked exhilarated as she let out soft screams. It was as if she was fangirling as she jumped slightly, immediately giving me a bear hug. "You have no idea how long I have waited for this day!" she whispered to my ear, making me giggle at her. After she pulled away, she even passed me a small bouquet of flowers.

"Here," she beamed.

I accepted it and hugged her again before I also introduced Minah to her. They both got caught up in some conversation as I joined sometimes. After a while, Soohyun also took a photograph with me as she sat beside me. I couldn't really stand or move about thanks to the long gown and I had to sit down all the time. Minah helped us to take the photograph, afterwards switching with Soohyun so she could take one with me.

It was as if now's the guys' turn since someone knocked the door afterwards, Donghae and Kai walking in.

"Looking great," Kai winked to me the moment he saw me as he walked in. I grew silent when my eyes fell on Donghae. It had been a long time since I last saw him and the last time he spoke to me, we sort of fought. Guilt avalanched over me as I looked at him.

"I'm glad you can make it," I said as I looked at Donghae, a gentle smile on my face. He smiled back while showing me a thumbs-up sign. I was in a relief we'll still on good terms after what had happened. I felt remorse since the last time he talked to me, he wanted me to get back with Sehun.

"I'm sorry about what happened the last time," I apologised after he came closer. He looked as handsome as forever but he do looked tired because of his eye bags.

"It's alright. Besides, you're both together now. My sincere congratulations." he told me. "Thank you so much. So we're back to being friends?" I with a smile as I elbowed him.

"Of course," he said, showing me his hand. I accepted it as we shoook hands, taking a photograph afterwards. Kai took one with me as well, with him boasting about how he's going to show Sehun. As more and more people came to greet and take photographs, they started chatting among one another too. I smiled as I caught Minah being engrossed in a conversation with Donghae. Just when I wasn't paying attention, someone else came in the room. I only caught her presence when I looked up.

It was Mrs. Oh.

"How are you? Are you excited?" she said excitedly like some young teenager, making exagerated actions while she shook. It has been quite a while now since Mrs. Oh had known of my real identity, not to mention my real name. Sehun and I had managed to visit her to explain about everything.

But surprisingly, she accepted it almost immediately with a big smile and hug for me, saying that I must have suffered alot. She walked towards me and held onto my hand. She gave me a motherly smile which I found really comforting.

"I'm sorry Sehun's dad couldn't make it because he's overseas. He told me to congratulate the two of you. That man..." she glared at the air while hitting her fist with the other hand. "I'll give him a good scolding when he gets back," she hissed, making me chortle.

"It's alright, really." I smiled poiltely. She grabbed my hands together while staring at me, her smile never leaving her face.

"I'm really happy to have you as my daughter-in-law." she admitted honestly and sincerely. Her words, however, made me felt more culpable. "I'm sorry...for lying to you the whole time." I couldn't help but apologise again. "Sweetheart, you don't need to apologise again and again. I'm telling you now...I'm really proud that Sehun chose you as the one." she told me, contemplating. She shook her head.

"You have no idea how Sehun was like before he met you. He brings a variety of girls home but doesn't even remember their names." she shook her head in disappointment. She rubbed her thumb on my hands, meeting my eyes. "I'm really grateful for the fact that Sehun met you. You've changed him into a more mature man now." she furrowed her eyebrows thinking about Sehun. I was so grateful for her and appreciated her words.

"It doesn't matter who you are. I somehow knew from the start that you would be the one." she finished off with a hug. I patted her back while grinning.

"I'll go greet the others. By the way, you looked beautiful." she praised before walking away. I laughed and had a fun time with my ex-workers, Hye Jung and Yura who came until Minah told me to get ready afterwards because the wedding was starting. She helped me up before giving me one reassuring look.

There he was, standing at the other end of the aisle that I had to walk. Even though it must have looked pretty short to other people, to me, it seemed as if I would take forever to reach Sehun. The aisle looked so long to me and my heart was palpitating so quickly and I could feel my cheeks heat up and my ears turning red. I was so perturbed and was afraid that I would trip on my heels halfway down the aisle. Minah patted my arm with mine linked to hers. Since she was my only relative, she was going to walk me down the aisle.

This was probably the scariest and most nerve-wrecking moment in my life. My eyes patently caught Sehun giving me a boyish smile at the other end. He mouthed for me to be confident which made me smile slightly even though it was a forced smile. I was so anxious I couldn't bring myself to smile. Sehun was looking gorgeous on the other end with his black suit and hair neatly framing on his forehead. The song started before I knew it and claps could be heard.

My eyes quickly scanned around as I caught familiar faces around the tables. They clapped and cheered as I walked down the aisle with Minah. The steps seemed to take forever as I often looked at the ground, hanging my head low. My heart was beating so quickly, drumming against my ribcage. I kept repeating in my brain that this was the moment I have longed for. Every second now, I should appreciate it.

Before I could process it in my brain, Minah had already released my arm, passing my hand to Sehun. I looked up from the unfamiliar touch and Sehun's face was so breath-taking. My eyes averted to his beautiful face as he gave me a precious smile. His eyes turned to crescent moons as he smiled a rare smile. It looked so sincere and his eyes sparkled as I held my breath.

"I'm really nervous now," he whispered to me while we turned to face the front. Once again we said the vows but this time, it was with the correct names. It's Park Minji, and not Park Minah. We turned around as Sehun held onto my hand, giving it a slight squeeze. He looked in front before he raised his other hand.

"I, Oh Sehun, take you, Park Minji, to be my wife, my constant friend, my faithful partner and my love from this day forward. In the presence of God, our family and friends, I offer you my solemn vow to be your faithful partner in sickness and in health, in good times and in bad, and in joy as well as in sorrow. I promise to love you unconditionally, to support you in your goals, to honor and respect you, to laugh with you and cry with you, and to cherish you for as long as we both shall live." he finished. I felt my eyes containing wet tears again when I heard my name coming out from his mouth. It was my turn. I took in a deep breath before raising my hand.

"I, Park Minji, take you, Oh Sehun, to be my husband, my constant friend, my faithful partner and my love from this day forward. In the presence of God, our family and friends, I offer you my solemn vow to be your faithful partner in sickness and in health, in good times and in bad, and in joy as well as in sorrow. I promise to love you unconditionally, to support you in your goals, to honor and respect you, to laugh with you and cry with you, and to cherish you for as long as we both shall live." This was it.

"You may now kiss the bride," I heard the priest said from behind. It was my second time hearing it after Sehun actually divorced me with the identity of 'Minah'. We were now married for the second time but with my actual identity.

I caught a glint behind his pair of eyes as he took a step closer, his hands linking behind my waist. He had a smirk on his face, the same one I saw when I first saw him. He swiftly pulled me closer as he leaned his forehead on mine. His eyes stared intensely to mine as he blinked, his fringe tickling my skin. I breathed in with a huge smile which I was unable to hide. I could hear the cheers and teases from the audience, my cheeks turning crimson red.

"Park Minji, I love you." he whispered out, the smirk never leaving his face before he closed the distance between us, sealing it with a heartwarming kiss. It was a chaste kiss as he planted his lips on mine. It took him a few seconds before he pulled away, smiling ever so brightly.

"I love you too," I told him.
