Married To A Playboy

Your POV

My hands were palpitating as my heart pumped so loudly I could hear my heartbeat from my own ears. What do I do? My eyes enlarged when I realized that my phone was on the ground. Just having registered that I actually dropped the phone, I quickly bent down to pick the phone up again, instantly placing it on ear. "Hello―Minah, are you still there? Hello?" I stuttered, never having felt so edgy and anxious in my whole life. Toot. I pulled the phone away to have a look at the screen, getting even more skittish to see that she had hung up. I hit my hand on my head a couple of times.

Stupid Minji, you should have known how long it takes for her to call back for you to drop that stupid phone of yours! I bit my lips as one of my hand was on the ground for support before I fall onto the ground, no longer crouching as my hit the floor, coming into contact with the cold tiles.

It wasn't long before my phone actually rang again―the melody of the rington echoeing throughout the small toilet, making me pick up quickly―even though my fingers were fidgeting and jittering. "H-Hello? Minah?" I whispered.

"Are you really not gonna pick your sister up? I'm waiting here in the cold," I could hear her sniffling as she pretended to cough. "Oh damn, the wind's blowing―I think I might freeze to death if you're not coming any sooner," she said, exaggerating as I still hesitated. Should I pick her up? I couldn't find myself to face her yet, it was too sudden. "Please? Minji? Are you listening?" She pleaded with some high-pitched voice she deliberately used. I couldn't respond.

"Are you mad at me? Minji?" she asked as I didn't know what to say. "Don't tell me..." she started before she sniffled again through the call. "Sehun told you?" she asked, in a softer voice. My heart skipped a few beats when his name was mentioned, causing me to be even more nervous I couldn't even hear and processed what she said. Because I fell in love with her boyfriend, what am I supposed to do now? "Minji? Are you even there?" she said again.

"God damn it that bastard," I heard her cursed through the call out of nowhere, causing me to jump slightly, scared of any little thing that could happen currently. "He told you, didn't he?" she blew some air, causing some muffled noise to be heard. I could hear her scoff to herself, baffling me all of a sudden. Is she angry? "I-I'll pick you up!" I added hurriedly, wanting to change the topic as I didn't want to hear anymore things related to him. I don't even know how to face my own sister after the sin I had commited.

"Oh really? Please hurry then, my dear sister. I'm so cold here," she quickly said before hanging up. When the call ended, I couldn't help but let out a loud sigh, feeling so complicated and vexed. I stood up, brushing myself slightly before I got out of the toilet as quietly as I could. I noticed it was still dark outside and it was late at night. I quietly walked to Soohyun's bed, just to see her sleeping soundly in the bed, snoring lightly. I couldn't bear to wake her up so I decided to write a sticky note to thank her and placed it on her nightstand. I glanced around, trying to figure out how I could get out of the house without the key. Walking over quickly to the window in her room, I lightly pulled it up, opening it as I peered and stuck my head out. Good thing her house was of one level with a yard. I easily got out and jumped off from the window, quietly closing it before making my way through the yard and passing over the gate by lifting my leg over it. I halted a taxi by the street before getting on it, telling the driver to go to the airport that MInah texted me.

As the taxi stopped at my destination, I hurled out some notes from my wallet before I opened the door, stepping out in fear. I glanced around for any sight of my sister but before I knew it, someone crashed onto me with a hug when I spun around. The figure was taller than me and my face was buried into her shoulder in astonishment. She pulled me away, a wide smile on her face. "You have no idea how excited I am," she exclaimed merrily before I could take a good look of her.

Her hair was in a blonde that screams out the celebrity feel and her face was put on with make-up but it still looked natural and stunning. She was wearing 5inch high black heels that wrapped around her whole feet and some crop T-shirt with jeans. I forced out a smile before she pulled me to a hug again, tightening it before letting me go. "Come on, let's go." she hurriedly said before pulling her heavy luggages, with some extra bags along. "Are you..." I started softly but she caught it as she turned around, facing me.

"Yea?"

"Staying here? In Seoul," I asked. "Of course! I need to spend some time with you anyways," she shrugged, stopping another taxi again before she got in, motioning for me to hurry as well.

In the taxi, I kept quiet, hoping not to talk in case the topic gets to Sehun. Not wanting to mention anything related to him, I thought it would be best for me to keep quiet. But then...neither did Minah mentioned anything about him as well. But it's impossible...because that was her boyfriend. "Where are we going?" I finally spoke, realizing that the road we took was new. "No worries! Your sister here has everything settled! Of course we're going to our new house!" she beamed. I was startled by her sudden words but then calmed down. I was more than astounded to find out that we are going to be living in one of the expensive apartments, which was standing in front of me currently.

"W-we're living here?" I choked.

"Why? You don't like it?" she asked, worried about how I felt as I shook my head. "Let's go in! I rented it," she fished out the key and fiddled with the lock before opening it. A huge living room with furnitures prepared greeted me as I gasped. "But, we have enough money for this?" I asked again, quite sure that it was impossible for us to afford this-regardless of whether she bought it or rent it. "Why? Of course we do! I worked so hard in America!" she smiled as she made herself comfortable on the luxurious couch, tossing all her luggages aside. I slightly smiled too, watching her as I figured out she really did work very hard for the money. "How's studying in America? Is it fun?" I asked curiously as I sat beside her. She shrugged before saying how stress it was for her to learn the English. But truthfully, I was jealous. Who wouldn't want to study abroad in America?

"Oh! You must have been living in Sehun's house right?" she suddenly beamed, holding both my hands tightly. My eyes widened as I swallowed before nodding. "Get your luggage! You're going to move in here to stay with me!" she squealed excitedly. What?

"N-Now?" I croaked.

"Of course! I'll be waiting here! You should get it now while he's still asleep," she shrugged, already pushing me out of the house. I was at a loss of words as too many things were happening at once.

Somehow, I was currently standing in front of Sehun's house. Remembering that Mrs. Oh was still overseas―and that it was the last day for our honeymoon since I heard it from the maids that we have school tomorrow, I sighed in a dull tone before stepping in after unlocking the gate. The maids greeted me with a hopeful smile but I just gave them a bitter smile in return. "Sehun sshi is not feeling very well, Minah sshi." One of the maids timidly spoke as I just smiled back. I made my way to the room, watching his sleeping figure. He was on the bed sleeping soundy. My eyes softened until it travelled down to his chest and I realized that he was wearing the shirt that I bought for him.

I frowned but chuckled when I figured out he went snooping around and found the shirt. But part of me felt grateful that he actually found it since I had no idea how I was going to give it to him anyways. Furthermore, this would be quite frankly the last time I see him. My hands went to touch his cheeks as without realizing it myself, I was crying. I sniffled slightly before I turned aound and tossed everything that I owned into my luggage, zipping it up in a hurry.

I was leaving and I had no idea when I would ever see him again.

Sehun's POV

I was woken up by the bright sun rays shining on my eyelids. I dropped my arm to the side, hoping Minji would be there but when my arm fall back onto the mattress; I felt that the spot beside me was empty. I shot my eyes open as my eyes slightly narrowed from the brightness. But I instantly sat up when I realized nobody was on the bed. I looked around, hoping maybe she would be on the couch but it was empty as well. The next thing I remember, her luggage was right on the ground at the corner.

But this time, there was nothing.

My heart started to pumped so fast at her sudden disappearance. Has she not returned yet from yesterday? Where could she have slept? Is she alright? I snatched my phone from the nightstand as I unlocked it, secretly hoping there could be some messages at least or missed calls from her. But there was none. Where on earth could she go?

I hurried down the stairs but helf onto onoe of the maids that passed by me. She looked up before I cleared my throat, "Did Minji come back yesterday?" I bit my lips and embraced myself for the answer.

"Who's Minji? Do you mean Minah sshi?" she asked back, utterly confused. I almost hit myself for making that mistake. "Right, Minah."

"Didn't she told you? We thought that you were already informed. She packed up and left."

With that sentence, I felt the walls built in my heart crumbling down. She's gone.
