The Beginning of a Strong Friendship
Best Friends or More?
A small bark wakes you up while the faint smell of hot chocolate is scented in the air. You feel very warm and to your surprise, you have a blanket on you. You turn around to see Kim Hyun Joong in the kitchen, preparing the breakfast. As he sees you, he gives you a small smile.
K.H.J - Um... Did you sleep well?
You - Yeah, thank you. Erm... Sorry. I just fell asleep after I sat on the sofa.
K.H.J - No, it's okay. I too fell asleep. It was quite a day yesterday.
You - Yeah... Umm, do you need any help?
K.H.J - No, I just finished. Sit here.
You - Thank you.
K.H.J - You want milk, tea or hot chocolate? I er... Don't have any coffee.
You - I don't like coffee, so it's okay.
K.H.J - Really? I never really tasted it and I don't really like it too.
You - Another common point. Um, I'll have hot chocolate, please.
K.H.J - Okay. Here, a hot chocolate for the young lady.
You - Thanks. Do you have sugar?
K.H.J - Yes, here.
Just as he gives you the sugar, you have a sudden thought. It's just like you're a newly married couple. You immediately feel embarassed and look away. He must have guessed and he too is a bit embarassed. The air turns a bit awkward but it becomes warm by the presence of Art and Matic who playfully come and play around your chair. Kim Hyun Joong and you start laughing as the two dogs enlighten the mood with their playful act.
After breakfast, he hands you your ID card and he then leaves you at your place by car. Your heart aches a bit as you know that you'll never see him ever again but you continue to do your things normally even though the thought of Kim Hyun Joong does not leave you mind one inch.
2 weeks have passed by very quickly and you are now very familiar with the surroundings. It's peaceful and you're getting a bit excited as your new university life will start soon. Just 2 weeks left. You do some shopping, try a lot of various Cafes for their pastries as you have a sweet tooth and apply for small jobs so that you can have savings, etc...
It's nearly lunchtime and you just finished some shopping. You are planning to eat in the big mall found on the other side of the road. Lots of posters of him are on the wall. You who were slowly forgetting about the Kim Hyun Joong incident, remember it again and it saddens you. Just as you are about to cross on the crosshere, a car horns at you. The same model which he has. And inside it is to your surprise Kim Hyun Joong. You don't understand and thinks that he is horning to someone as you saw a very beautiful lady aside you. But in fact, he's looking at you. He parks his car nearby and comes meet you (of course in disguise but you strangely recognise him without effort). You're so surprised and overwhelmed with joy that you cannot move. Your heart could even have stopped. What was he doing here?! And on top of that, stop his car to meet you! Quite unbelievable but he was really here. He looks at your "oh, so surprised face" and burst in laughter which is quite rare for him to do. Yeah, you read things on him on internetband learned a lot of things. He does not smile a lot nor laugh a lot and he's nearly cold to the bone but he's also very warm when he wants to be. Seriously, how much sides does he have? But you don't really care as to you, he's fine as he is. He is he. When he stos laughing, he appologize and offers to take your bags. You are a bit reluctant as it's a bit weird to let him take those even though you're not close or more easily said, you're not even friends. But as he insists, you finally give in and he takes you to his car. He invites you to lunch and this time, you pay to return the favor. He has the remaining day off and thus is enjoying his time with you as you drag him to shops and other places. He even hold some of your bags and gives you advices on fashion. He has a very good fashion sense and it's like he knows your taste very well. You explain the reason for your shopping, that is, as you'll have to put different clothes everyday and you don't have a lot of clothes, you have decided to shop a bit. Of course you buy cheap things cause you need to look out for your budget. He thinks that you buying cheap things is a good thing and he seems to appreciates you and your simple qualities a lot. You share a lot of common opinions and you two seem to have so much in common that he is like interested in you. You have had a fun day in his company and you even exchanged numbers. You feel that somehow, your relationship with him is starting. Of course it's a friendship one. A friendship you hope that will be maintained for a long time.
