Just for show
AmbivalenceAfter they had their snacks, they went to see a movie that myungsoo paid begrudgingly because sungyeol said he was the one who invited him.
The night went smoothly after their snack, if by smoothly means myungsoo talking about minah none stop then..
Sungyeol looked through the cracked door, his eyes that were full of worry when he heard a scream from the this room turned sad as he witnesses something he could never have.
He hears his mother humming a song he never had once heard. A song that will never be directed at him.
He looked through the crack door then closed his eyes after. His five year old back leaned against the frame of the door, hiding himself from his mother who was soothing his brother’s cries.
5 year old sungyeol was happy even though it wasn’t for him. He was content he could hear something so sweet.
Sungyeol opened his eyes, his hand went straight to his eyes feeling a tear or two spilling from it. He wiped it away and got ready for school not bothering to eat breakfast.
He opened the front door only to be greeted by his butler with a key he had never seen before on hand. He expected this.
“From your mother and father, sungyeol-sshi” The butler smiled at him, moving out of the way for sungyeol to see the new car his parents bought for him.
He sighed. This was all for show.
“They’re here?” He asked.
The butler frowned and shook his head, he reverted back to smiling and said “but I’m sure they miss you”
Sungyeol smiled at his butler, he appreciated the effort his butler is doing. His parents would never say they miss him, heck he doesn’t even know if they miss him at all.
Sungyeol sighed and gave his butler the key of the car he was suppose to drive today and took the new one. His parents would go mad if he didn’t use it right away. He knows. He had tried that before.
When he arrived at school, he knew reactions would fly and about.
They’d love this reaction.. sungyeol thought, sighing.
He turned the engine off and went out of the car hearing the whispers of the people around, trying his best not to cringe at what they’re saying.
Oh god! His parents bought him another car!!
He’s smart, nice and a perfect! He’s parents also love him so much!! so lucky!!
Tsk, spoiled brat.
He’s too pampered!
