The days were going very fast! Leeteuk’s enlistment date was getting closer and closer and the whole group was very busy doing shows before he left. They were all gathered together to watch the final cut of the “Only U” video before posting it online. The company decided to upload it on YouTube the same week of Leeteuk’s enlistment. Nicky was very nervous about it, she was certain that the fans would be very mad at her. Leeteuk kept telling her that the fans loved her already and that they would be ok with them being a couple, and if they weren’t that was their problem and not hers.  “Let me tell you that I love this video!” the director said and the boys laughed. “Nicky-sshi, you are a natural! Great job!” the director added and Nicky smiled embarrassed. The video started and they all kept silent looking at it. It was perfect! Nicky was amazed, she looked like a professional pianist! The boys looked extremely handsome and so cute with their knowing looks every time they glanced at Nicky. She was in awe with how handsome Leeteuk looked in it; and she was able to see just how much he loved her. Every time he looked at her in the video, he had a sweet, proud smile on his lips and a lovely gaze. At the end of the video Leeteuk kisses Nicky, and at that moment the boys started cheering and clapping in the room making Nicky cover her face embarrassed and Leeteuk laughed. “Good job Hyung!” said Shindong giving him a high-five.  “It’s a wonderful video!” Ryeowook said smiling. “The fans will love it!” Siwon said smiling. “I hope you are right, Siwonie. I really hope so!” Nicky said with a worried smile and Leeteuk hugged her.

The boys kept announcing a new video premiere on their twiter accounts. They wanted the fans to be excited about the video, just like they were and they kept saying that there was a surprise in the video. The night of the premiere arrived and Nicky was very nervous. They all gathered in the living room with a laptop to watch the video. Once it was over, the rest of the boys went to their rooms leaving Nicky and Leeteuk in the sofa. “It was great!” Leeteuk said very excited. “Yeah….” Nicky responded hitting the refresh button in the Youtube page. She wanted to read the fans comments. “What you doing?” Leeteuk asked smiling. “Waiting for the comments. I want to know how am I going to die.” She responded and Leeteuk laughed.  He grabbed his phone and hugged Nicky. “Jagiya, picture” he said making her look up. “Smile!” he added and he snapped a photo of them together.  He then uploaded the photo to his twiter account with a message: ‘I need my angels to take care of my girl while I’m gone. Promise me you will? I love you all!’. The comments were all good, much to Nicky’s surprise. The fans seemed to love the video and they were OK with them being a couple. She was finally calm, but at the same time she was a little bit sad; the day was closer than ever.

Leeteuk had a special recording at Strong Heart, it was a Goodbye edition and Nicky decided to not go. Then he had a shooting for GEEK magazine and he made sure that Nicky went with him. They were cutting his hair during the shooting and he was a bit nervous about it. He was totally OK with going to the military now that his relationship with Nicky was public, but the hair cutting was a bit too much for him. Once they got there and the pictures started he was more at ease. Nicky loved the way he looked during the shooting and when they started cutting his hair he looked even better. There was a ier, manlier aura around him with the short hair and she loved it. Once they were done,Leeteuk asked the photographer to take some pictures of him with Nicky. She didn’t want to at first but he insisted and they thought it would be a great idea. They gave her some clothes and did her makeup. They both looked perfect in the pictures and Leeteuk asked for copies to be delivered to Nicky as soon as they were done.

It was the day before his enlistment and Michelle make sure that everything was ready for the party that night. She was trying to cheer Nicky up all week long; she knew how it felt, to say goodbye to the man you love for a long time. The party started in the afternoon, they have invited lots of people from SM and from Leeteuk’s friends. Everyone was having a blast, Nicky and Leeteuk danced a lot especially the latin songs that Michelle chose for Nicky. After a while, Leeteuk thanked Michelle for everything and left early with Nicky because he wanted to take her somewhere. “Where are we going?” Nicky asked inside the car. “Surprise”  he responded with a smile. They arrived at the Seoul Tower and he parked the car. “What are we doing here? People could recognize you” Nicky said getting closer to him. “No problem!” he replied laughing and putting on a cap. “Nice try but now they could recognize me!” she added with a chuckle. They went in and Leeteuk took her to the wall of locks. “Remember us here?” he asked holding her hand. “We came here after the Star King show where they found me a date.” Nicky responded smiling. “Me!” he replied with a huge smile. “Yes, you!” she said laughing. “Now we together, for a year” he added. “Yes, in a couple of hours it will be a year.” She responded as he moved in front of her. “Now we put lock in.” he said taking a lock out of his pocket. It was a silver medium sized lock with a red heart on one side and their names on the other. Nicky looked at it surprised, and Leeteuk placed it on the wall. “That is so sweet!” she said hugging him. He hugged her back and smiled as she chuckled. “Thanks for this. You make me feel very special.” Nicky said. Leeteuk grabbed her hands and looked straight at her, he was about to say something when a group of girls called his name. “Your fans found you!” Nicky said laughing and they walked as fast as they could.

They decided to go back to the dorm since Nicky was tired. Leeteuk received a call and left her at the dorm while he went to pick a couple of things he needed. “I return soon.” He said as she got out of the car. “Be careful” she replied and went inside. After he picked the stuff he needed, Leeteuk returned to the dorm. He wanted to spend that last night over there. Whe he entered the dorm, Nicky was putting away some things in her room and he stood on her doorway looking at her. She was ready to sleep with a short pant Hello Kitty pajama. “That new” Leeteuk said looking at her. “Oh! Yes, it was gift from Sungmin” she responded smiling. "He buys pajamas?" he asked lifting an eyebrow. “Don’t start with the jealousy thing again!” she warned him. “Arasso!” he responded entering the room and hugging her. She hugged him back, taking in his scent and feeling her eyes get watery. He kissed her forehead and hugged her even tighter. “Jagiya….can I…….” he started talking. “Stay” she interrupted him. They looked at each other eyes and he caressed her cheek. She was not going to be the assistant manager tonight. Tonight she was the sad girlfriend preparing herself to say goodbye to her boyfriend for 22 months. She walked to the door and as she closed it she forgot about managers, schedules and rules. Because that night she just wanted to think about her boyfriend. That night………everything changed.
