Chapter 43

It was the day before Leeteuk’s  birthday. He was turning 30 so Nicky was at Michelle’s house baking some cupcakes for him. “Nicky you have to see this!” Michelle shouted from the dinning table. “What?” Nicky asked. “You need to make sure your boyfriend is fully clothed when he gets on stage” Michelle said laughing. “Lately he’s been unable to keep his shirt on!” Nicky said laughing as well. “Well, this is from way before you started working with them but you should keep an eye on him” Michelle said laughing and hitting play on the youtube video. It was the Dream Concert presentation from May 2010, the infamous “Bonamana” presentation with the white clothes.

“He has no shirt on, nothing new!” Nicky said laughing as the video started. “Keep watching!” said Michelle. As the video went through, Nicky still couldn’t understand what was so special about it besides how gorgeous her boyfriend looked. “What am I suppose………..” Nicky stopped talking as she noticed something in the video. “Oh my goodness!” Nicky added covering as Michelle laughed. “Make sure that your boyfriend wears underwear, ok?” Michelle said laughing harder. “And his face expression is not helping!” Nicky said blushing.

That night, Nicky waited until midnight awake in her room. Once it was after midnight she grabbed one of the cupcakes and entered Leeteuk’s room. He was awake reading on his bed. “Happy Birthday, Teukie!” Nicky said sitting next to him and giving him the cupcake. He smiled as soon as he saw her. “Make a wish!” she said offering him the cupcake with a lit candle in it. He looked at her with a huge smile and then blew the candle. “I’m 30!” he said laughing. “Actually you are 29. Still out of my range!” she said laughing and he hugged her and they both rested on the pillow. “You make it?” he said looking at the cupcake. “Yes. There are more in the fridge.” She responded. “Thanks” he said kissing her. “What did you wish for?” She asked him. “Health…..to be with you” he responded hugging her. Nicky just laughed and hugged him back. Then Leeteuk looked at her with a smirk on his face. “You in my room” he said smiling and looking at her. “So what? You always go to my room.” She responded looking at him. “Neh, but here I don’t behave” he replied hugging her and caressing her waist. Nicky just laughed and gave him a kiss.

At that moment the rest of the boys entered the room with another cake and singing. Leeteuk sat up and Nicky started singing with the rest of the boys. “Thanks guys!” Leeteuk said smiling. “Hyung make a wish!” Ryeowook said. “I think we just ruined his wish!” Shindong said in a low voice and Kyuhyun laughed. Leeteuk closed his eyes and blew the candle and the boys clapped. “You’re 30!!! How do you feel?” Donghae asked. “The same!” he answered laughing.  “Well, boys. Time to sleep! You need to be up in..a couple of hours actually so rest. Good night sweetie!” Nicky said standing up and kissing Leeteuk.  “Good night noona!” the others said and they all left.

It was the day of the “y, Free & Single” press conference and the boys were extremely excited. Nicky helped them get ready and they were just waiting for it to start. Kangin seemed specially nervous, so Nicky talked to him. “Hey! Are you excited??” she asked him. “Neh. Nervous!” he responded with a chuckle. “Don’t be! The fans are extremely happy to have you back in the group. And you’re going to do great! I assure you that!” Nicky said hugging him. The boys were called to start the conference and Nicky hugged them one by one. Leeteuk hugged her and whisper something to her. “We go public now?” he said in a low voice and smiling at her. “Don’t you dare! Go talk about the album, the MV and the promotions. Nothing else!” Nicky said looking at him with a serious face. He kissed her on the cheek and went outside with the others. The conference was a hit! They showed the music video and the press loved it. This album would surely be a hit.

The whole week went like crazy! They did their comebacks and were invited to a lot of shows.  They were even invited to Saturday Night Live Korea and had a lot of fun doing the comedy skits. Nicky was very proud of them, although she needed Michelle to understand the jokes.  The fans loved the music video  and now the boys were working on the new video “SPY” for the album repackage. Nicky stayed home that day since she wasn’t feeling very good and after the recording Leeteuk return to dorm to take care of her.  He entered her room with a cup and a CD on his hands. “Hi jagiya!” he said sitting next to her in the bed. He kissed her as she sat up in the bed. “How you feel?” he asked. “Better.” She responded. “No pain?”  he said lightly touching her belly. “Not anymore” she responded with a smile. “Omma send this” he said giving her the cup. “Your mother always gives me tea” Nicky said with a chuckle taking a sip. “She wants you healthy” he responded with a smile. “Yeah” Nicky laughed. “Did you know she’s been giving me Panax tea for months?” she added putting the cup away. Leeteuk laughed and nodded. “InYoung noona told me!” he replied still laughing. “Thanks for bringing me this one, It’s not panax, right?” Nicky asked with a smile. “No. Is for pain” he said playing with her hair.

He kept looking at her and grabbed her laptop. “Here. This is for you. Is in the repackage” he said giving her the laptop and the CD. “What is it?” Nicky asked grabbing the laptop. “Song,  I made for you. Watch lyrics. Michelle translate” Leeteuk added resting his back on the wall and looking at her. Nicky place the CD in the computer and it started playing, the song was “Only U”. The English lyrics appeared on the screen and Nicky read along. There were tears in her eyes and a huge smile on her face. Once the song finished she jumped and hugged him really tight. “Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!” she said hugging him and kissing him repeatedly. He just laughed and hugged her back. “Is true. The words are true” he said looking into her eyes. “I know! And I feel the same way.” She responded. Leeteuk wiped away the tears on her face and gave her a sweet kiss.

Nicky was helping Yesung at his family café. There were a lot of fans and they were trying to move the line fast. A couple of foreign girls were in line and Yesung kept looking at them, trying to figure out what language were they using. Once they reached the register, Yesung yelled for help. “Nicky noona! Help!” Yesung said outloud with a smile. Nicky moved closer to him looking at the girls. “What happened?” she asked him and he just laughed. The girls started talking to each other in Spanish and Nicky got excited. “Welcome to Handel & Gretel! Where are you from?” Nicky asked them. “Hi! We are from Puerto Rico!” Samaris said. “Just like you!” Dyliana said. They kept talking and Yesung just stared at them, specifically at Dyliana. “Yesung! I just asked you for their drinks!” Nicky said shaking his arm. He just smiled and prepared the drinks. They sat down on a table and Yesung kept looking at Dyliana. “Noona, help me?” he said looking at Nicky. “What is it sweetie?” Nicky asked getting closer to him. “Meet her?” Yesung said pointing at the blonde girl. “What? You want me to help you meet her?” she asked surprised. “Neh” he responded with a shy smile. “Yesung!.........If I get her phone number you better behave! No playing with girls remember?” Nicky said in stern voice. “I know!” he said moving his arms. Nicky went to the table a talked to them for a while. It turned out they were Super Junior fans and came to the café to see Yesung. They were planning to visit Kona Beans as well and Nicky told them to go on a specific day so they get to see the other boys. After a while, the girls left and Nicky returned to the register area holding a paper. “Here it is. But you have to promise me you won’t play games with her! Just be friendly and be a gentleman, arasso?” Nicky told Yesung. “I am gentleman!” he responded with a smile. “It turns out you are her favorite.”  Nicky said with a smile. “Really? Is true?” he asked surprised. “Is true. And the other girl, Samaris, she likes Eunhyuk.” Nicky added smiling. “Thanks Noona!” Yesung said hugging her.
