At the SM building, all managers were in a meeting discussing different issues before leaving for Indonesia for a SM Town show. During that meeting, Leeteuk’s enlisting date was announced and it took Nicky by surprised. Once the meeting was done, she went as quickly as she could to the bathroom and Michelle followed her. “Nicky! Are you ok?” Michelle asked knocking on the bathroom stall. Nicky came out of it wiping some tears away and trying to smile. “Yes. It’s just that………..” she said moving to the mirror.  “It’s real now, right?” Michelle asked. “It’s the date. His enlistment date” Nicky said looking down.  “What about it?’ Michelle asked. “October 30, that’s the date…….” Nicky said. “Your one year anniversary!” Michelle interrupted realizing it. “Exactly! Just my luck! He’s going away on our anniversary” Nicky said and her eyes got watery again. “Oh unnie! I’m so sorry! But don’t worry! We will throw a great going away party and it could be your anniversary party as well!” Michelle said hugging her.  “It’s ok. I’m ok! Let’s just concentrate on work.” Nicky said smiling and they left the bathroom.

Nicky tried not to think about the meeting and she got herself busy when she returned to the dorm. The boys were still rehearsing so she was alone. She started cleaning and Leeteuk arrived as she was washing some dishes. He entered the kitchen and rested his body against a wall, looking at her. “Jagiya” he said. Nicky looked at him and smiled but kept doing the dishes. “Hi sweetie” she responded. “You ok?” he asked. “Yes I am.” She replied not looking at him. “I’m sorry.” He said hugging her from the back. “Why are you sorry?” she asked surprised by his sudden action.  “Enlistment date” he responded burying his face on her neck. “It’s not your fault” she said caressing his hair and trying hard not to cry. She didn’t want to make him worry about her so she was determined to show that she was strong. “And there’s nothing to be sorry about. I’m very proud of you for completing your duty. And we will give you a huge going away party!” She said facing him and smiling. He just laughed and kissed her. The front door opened and Heechul entered. “Yah! Get a room! Oh wait, nothing will happen anyway!” Heechul said snickering. “Kim Heechul! Shut up!” Leeteuk said laughing .

The show in Indonesia was huge. Leeteuk couldn’t finish the presentation because he got sick and Nicky took care of him from that moment on. They were on a plane back to Korea already; Nicky got up from her seat and went to the bathroom.  When she was about to close the door, Leeteuk got inside with her. “What the….? What are you doing?” she asked surprised.  “We talk” he said closing the door. It was a tiny space and they were very close to each other. “Here?” she said motioning her hands. “You don’t talk to me out because of people.” He said smiling. “And seeing us get together in the bathroom is better?” she asked smiling and he laughed. “What do you want to talk about?” she added resting her hip on the sink. “Be in music video with us” Leeteuk responded.  “A music video?” Nicky asked. “Neh” he replied.  “Why? What’s the catch?” she asked raising an eyebrow. “You play piano…….and we go public.” He responded with a smirk.  “I knew it! I knew you had something in mind! “ she said smiling. “Please!” he pouted.  “Why do you insist on going public? We are ok as we are.” She said caressing his arm. “I go to Army soon. People ask, I want to tell. I want them to know I happy…..with you.” He responded caressing her cheek. Nicky was touched by his explanation. “what will management say?” she asked. “They OK if you say yes”  he replied.  “What will I do?” Nicky asked. “Play piano and be in video.” He responded.  “What song?” she asked again. “Only U” he said smiling. “That’s my song” she smiled. “Neh” he said with a huge smile. She looked into his eyes as he waited for an answer.  “okay, I’ll do it” she responded smiling. Leeteuk laughed and hugged her very tight.  “It’s so small in here! Whoever says they do stuff in here is lying!” she said with a chuckle. “Want to try?” he said smiling and giving her a naughty look.  “Not in here. Get out!” she responded playfully pushing him and laughing.

“Ok, let’s do a light check.” The director said while looking around the place. It was the day of the video recording for the “Only U” song. The concept was simple, the whole point of the video was to present Nicky to the public as Leeteuk’s girlfriend. They decided to record it at a theater, Nicky would be up in the stage playing the piano while the boys were scattered around the seats. The only one up in the stage would be Leeteuk, but not next to her. “I can’t believe I’m actually doing this” Nicky said while Nia fixed her makeup. “It’s so romantic! You can do it!” Nia said finishing. “Let’s start people! Nicky-sshi, whenever you’re ready. Just play and we will add the whole song at the end. Oh! And only look up at Leeteuk when his singing  his parts.” The director said. “Ok” Nicky responded and started playing. They started recording;  zoom shots of hers and Leeteuk’s ring were taken but not being too obvious; the boys sing their parts walking around the seats of the theater. The director wanted to hint who was the one in the relationship with Nicky but without giving it up until the very end. At the end of the song, Leeteuk moved closer to Nicky and sat next to her in the piano. He was supposed to hold her hand but he felt courageous and kissed her instead. The director loved it and decided to use it, that would give no doubt about them being together.

Days after the recording, Leeteuk started tweeting songs titles: “A man in love”, “It’s you”, “My all is in you”. The fans were curious about his messages, trying to figure out what he meant……….was the leader using some kind of code?
