[Shinhye’s POV]

‘Shinhye-yah!’ I can feel a hand grabbing my arm, preventing me to take any more step.

‘What’s wrong? Hey..’ I can only hear Soohyun’s voice because I only look down on the cold floors, trying to hide my teary eyes.

But then, he pulls my chin up, forcing me to look at him. His eyes.. I can see a look of worry in them.

‘Nothing. I want to go home. Soohyun-shi..’

‘But why? Is it about me and my father?’

I keep myself shut until suddenly, he pulls me out of the huge hall. I try to resist but he’s too strong. I’m guessing he’s not happy.

We’re outside. The full moon shines brightly. I guess we’re at the garden because there’re a small lake, beautifully trimmed plants and lamp posts. It’s really nice in here.

‘I guess we can talk here. It’s too loud inside.’ He releases his grip and looks at me seriously. It’s the first time I’ve seen him like that.

‘You know, I really hate people who see me as the rich guy’s son, the son of this, the son of that. Bla3x. And I really hope you’re not one of those people, Shinhye-shi.’ He sighs after blurting those words out. All of the sudden, I notice Soohyun’s blue expression. I don’t know why, my hands creep onto his.

‘Mianhae, Soohyun-shi. I did felt those things when your father introduced you to those people. Look at you. We’re so different ..’

I can’t finish my words when he squeezes my hands tight.

‘You’re a human, right?’ He walks closer to me.

‘These hands..’ He brushes my hands softly.

‘Your eyes, nose, everything. It’s the same as mine, right?’

I can’t answer as he gently caresses my face, looking at me in an expression that I myself can’t explain.

‘So, we’re no different from each other. I see you as a girl. Please, see me just as a guy, like before. Actually, I’ve never had friends like you. Who treats me like I’m Kim Soohyun.’ He flashes an idiotic grin while scratching his head like he used to.
