[Author’s POV]

The hall goes silent at Shinhye’s request. The MC seems a bit surprised with her words too.

‘Oh.. You want to sing too? Hm.. Yonghwa-shi?’ The MC turns to look at Yonghwa who tries to keep himself cool.

‘I guess so.. That’s if her voice doesn’t .’

Shinhye blurts out a small laugh at his remarks. Mocking.

‘Okay, then. Do as you wish. Yeorobun… Let me present to you, Miss Park Shinhye and CNBlue…!’ The MC says cheerfully, bringing back the happy mood of the hall from the sudden gloomy one before.

Let me hold you
For the last time
It's the last chance to feel again
But you broke me
Now I can't feel anything

The music starts to play when Shinhye’s voice echoed through the place. The CNBlue boys seem to know the song and start playing their instruments.

When I love you,
It's so untrue
I can't even convince myself
When I'm speaking,
It's the voice of someone else

Yonghwa sings without looking at her face.

Oh it tears me up
I try to hold on, but it hurts too much
I try to forgive, but it's not enough to make it all okay

You can't play on broken strings
You can't feel anything that your heart don't want to feel
I can't tell you something that ain't real

Oh the truth hurts
And lies worse
How can I give anymore
When I love you a little less than before

Their sweet voices are joined together as they sing melodiously. People around are quite astonished with Shinhye’s singing abilities that they go silent, hearing attentively to her and Yonghwa’s voices.

Somehow, Yonghwa feels hurt when he sings the song. Every line doesn’t feel right to him. Glancing at his old girlfriend, he can see her teary eyes. Is she hurting?

-Flashback-

‘Don’t you want to go and audition with me?’

‘No thanks. I don’t think I can get it if I sign up.’ She said and laughed awkwardly.

‘But you have a great voice, Shinhye-ya…’

‘I’d be the happiest when I sing for you only.’ She stated clearly to him and cupped his face. He smiled and held her hand. Quickly, he then pecked her lips lovingly, making her cheeks blushed in pink.

-End of Flashback-

‘Uwaa… That’s beautiful~’ The MC says emotionally and wipes his eyes, pretending to tear up. Everybody claps at their performance as Shinhye bows to the audience, faking a smile to the people in front of her. Yonghwa eyes her actions, lots of tangled feelings are in his head and heart right now when he sees her.
