“I’m Hyungsik” he gave a shy smile and you returned it as you tried to hide the pain in your head. Your vision became blurry before you could see his face properly and blanked out.

‘It hurts… help me’ you cried for pain but those words couldn’t come out. Hyungsik frowned as he placed a finger between your eyebrows to stop the crease. “What made you so weak? Minhee-ssi” he stared at you sweating and wiped it off with his handkerchief.

Before school ended, you finally woke up and looked around the room. Hyungsik wasn’t there and you got off the bed and made your way to the main gate to head back home. Suddenly a red car stopped in front of you which made you walk further down to cross the road.

The windows of the car rolled down and the person inside smiled at you, “You woke up just in time. Get it, I will drop you off” Hyungsik said and you stared at him for some time until he got off and pulled you in. You couldn’t fight back because you were dazed off.

“You don’t know where I leave” you told him and he shrugged, “I can drop you off at hyungs place if you want me to” he focused on the road with a smirk which made you feel uneasy. “I don’t know you. Stop the car” you asked him but he ignored your request.

“Stop the car please” you broke down after multiple requests which made him stop on the side. He turned to your side and held your arms, “Minhee, look at me” he said softly but you shook your head and broke away from his hold. Before you could open the door, Hyungsik locked it and looked back to see your frightened expression.

You weren’t frightened because Hyungsik locked the door but because you couldn’t reach for it. Your movement wasn’t according to the coordinates that was planned in your head. Suddenly, your hands began to shake. Hyungsik held both of them tightly and pulled you to a hug. “Calm down” he whispered to your ears.

Breaking away again couldn’t help because you couldn’t control your body. Your senses were dying. “I’m dying” you heard yourself say involuntarily. Those words were never meant to be spoken. It was against your will to say those. You don’t want to die.

“Shhhh…” Hyungsik cooed as he rubbed your back. “No you are not” he said in an assuring voice. “You don’t know anything. You’re not a doctor” your voice cracked.

Hyungsik chuckled and pushed you to your seat gently and pulled out his identity card. “It’s useless, I can’t see properly” you looked away to the window. “I will read it to you then” he said softly and began to read.

“Seoul Hospital…. But I am currently working in the health clinic in school…. Im Hyungsik” he placed his card back inside his shirt pocket.

“Why should I believe that you are really a doctor?” you asked him, still looking out of the window.

“Because Myungsoo requested me to look after you” The name made you smile. Hyungsik looked at you and smiled also. “Now let’s head back” he said and started the engine before driving you home.

You heard the brakes and blinked blankly, “are we at home?” your heartbeat increased, afraid that your mother will torture you to get answers to the reason for your late arrival from school.

“Thanks” you said and was about to get off but Hyungsik pulled you back and asked for your phone. “What for?” you became defensive mode again but calmed down when he told you the reason. You searched for your phone for a while before handing it to him.

The sound of the touchscreen was heard and you just sat back, listening to it. Hoping your hearing will never disappear. As you waited for him to give back your phone, you noticed that he stopped typing and it was silent.

“Hyungsik-ssi?” You called out for him but there wasn’t any reply, you sighed and looked through your blurry vision to find the door handle but only have it open by itself.

It was Hyungsik who got out of the car without telling you and opening the door for you. “Here you go” he said and grabbed your hand only to give back your phone. He held your arm gently as you made your way to the front door.

“Are you sure that I won’t die?” You heard yourself asking. His chuckled was soft yet you could still hear it. You smiled and gave him a bow before turning away slowly to knock on the door.

“Agasshi! What took you so long. Madam is really angry” your maid whispered and pulled you in gently but it surprised you as you couldn’t see her properly.

Footsteps were heard and you knew that it was your mother already. “It’s four and you finish your classes at three” she crossed her arms and sighed. “Go to your room and come down for dinner in twenty minutes” she ordered and you nodded.

Gladly, you tried to find your steps as you headed up to your room. You were lucky that you did not stumble and trip in front of the maids.

Once you closed the door to your room, you tried to reach for your bed with your hands as your vision worsened.

Your phone rang and it took a while for you to find your phone and also to pull it out from your pocket. Guessing the location of the answer button, you rested the speaker to your ear to listen to the person who was calling.

“Minhee” His soft voice echoed in your head.
