There they were. A couple standing in front of each other. The female was trying her hardest to see the shoes her stomach was stubbornly hiding. Her husband, on the other hand, was amused with the situation as she insisted she could do it by herself. ‘’Come on, breakfast is waiting and I’m hungry.’’ he just to earn a glare. He laughed, clapping his hands when his wife finally managed to hand her foot on the right shoe. She sighed quietly, finding the task easier when there was only the left one to put on.

She tried to stand up, finding it quite annoying that she now had to hold onto things to get up, if she didn’t want to give in to her husband who seemed to be just so amused over this. ‘’Your daughter is giving me a hard time and all you do is laugh?’’ the playful tone she used hint off she wasn’t mad over him but rather annoying with the fact she couldn’t do everything she wanted due to the baby she was carrying.

When it came to the baby, Hanbin was just very careful. He’d do any and everything to make sure both were alright. The male laughed at her comment, getting her purse as they were ready to head out. They found it curious that his wife and her best friend got pregnant almost at the same time, maybe a month apart and they had decided to meet up with the other couple since Gahee wanted to catch up with her best friend, rather than staying at home doing nothing all day.

‘’Did you call Chaeri yet?’’ her husband asked her as he took her hand in his; he had gotten clingier the past month since his baby girl would be soon in his arms, maybe he just tried getting used to the idea of sharing the attention with his wife and his daughter. Gahee raised an eyebrow at her husband, thinking about it. She shook her head slowly ‘’She said she would be there, plus, you know how long Chaeri takes to get ready… if I call her, she’ll just end up taking longer.’’

The couple headed out; Gahee found it boring how slow Hanbin made her walk - it was ridiculous just how slowly she had to walk when the only problem was that she couldn’t push her limits. The gentleman had surfaced off Hanbin after they found out she was pregnant. And she couldn’t deny the fact she actually liked this gentleman.

The male pressed his lips on her cheek after she was inside the car; he closed her door and ran to his side, giggling like he was a kid. Gahee only laughed at this, resting her hands on his stomach ‘’Your dad is...so silly.’’ she laughed, commenting it with the baby that, surprisingly, kicked. She only laughed ‘’Glad to know you agree with me.’’

‘’What happened?’’ Hanbin asked as he noticed she was laughing when he sat inside the car. Gahee shrugged once, looking at her stomach before looking at her husband ‘’Well, your daughter just kicked.’’ she informed, resting her head back. The male gasped, looking at his wife’s covered stomach. ‘’Why does she only kick when I’m not here?’’ he whined, leaning close to the female’s stomach ‘’Kim Kaeun!’’ he whined to his daughter, pressing a gentle kiss on where he thought her head was. He would never be mad at his daughter - he was a fool for his daughter anyways.

‘’I just wonder if you and Junhwe planned it or something.’’ Hanbin scoffed at the accusation his wife made. ‘’I would never do such thing. Didn’t Chaeri say she wanted to have kids too? Well, that’s something they planned between them.’’ he huffed as he drove the car, hearing his wife laugh at how offended he actually was. It sounded cute, at least for her. He kept sulking the whole way to the restaurant they were supposed to meet with Chaeri and Junhwe.

It didn’t take long for them to arrive anyways as they were usually the first couple to arrive. Hanbin was quick to get off the car and run to his wife’s side to help her get off the car. ‘’Alright, careful now.’’ he even put his hand over her head to make sure she didn’t hit it anywhere.

‘’Oh my, Hanbin is going to be such a fool for you, Kaeun-ah...he already is.’’ the female hummed, hearing her husband whine like it was not the truth. It was though. She could only laugh. Again, he insisted to hold her hand once she got out and the car was locked. The female laughed at his actions, finding them quite cute.

The couple sat down, ordering for the two other that should be arriving any minute. Gahee leaned on Hanbin’s shoulder as they waited for the other two. ‘’She’s less than a week away from being here with us.’’ his hand rest over her stomach, caressing it just to gasp as soon as he felt his daughter kick. He looked at his wife, shocked ‘’Oh my god!’’ Gahee laughed at the way her husband reacted - finally, after so many failed trials, he managed to feel his baby daughter kicking.

That’s just when the other couple walked in. Junhwe laughed at the scene, showing off his gentleman side as he pulled the chair out for his wife. Hanbin glared at him for ruining the moment but then, he focused on his daughter. Gahee only shook her head, chuckling at how silly he looked.

Chaeri found the sight quite cute and looked up at her own husband who didn’t seem to understand what she wanted. Sighing, she shook her head slowly, giving up on trying to make him understand. She looked at her best friend who smiled at her ‘’We already ordered for you guys too.’’ but she was interrupted by Hanbin ‘’I ordered natural juice and a healthy sandwich because you guys need to eat he-’’ Gahee pulled her hand over her husband’s mouth, shaking her head slowly.

‘’This is Kaeun’s effect on Hanbin.’’ Gahee informed, hearing her best friend laugh. ‘’Have you guys decided what to name your son, yet?’’ Chaeri looked over at Junhwe, smiling a bit before she looked at her best friend and nodded her head slowly. Gahee looked quite excited ‘’Is that so? What did you guys decided to name him?’’ ‘’Kangjun.’’

Hanbin gasped before Gahee could react to it. ‘’That’s too much coincidence! Your son is not coming close to my daughter.’’ he pointed over at Junhwe, glaring at him as Gahee rolled her eyes, slapping his shoulder ‘’Kim Hanbin!’’

After they spent the day together with the other couple, Hanbin, Gahee and Kaeun headed home. They were both tired over everything they had done that day. Once the couple got to bed, Hanbin waited for his wife to find a comfortable position so he could complete his night ritual. His hand landed on her stomach gently, caressing her skin and consequently, his daughter just before he started speaking. ‘’Please don’t make mommy hurt a lot, hmm? I mean, it’s been awhile since we got to know of you, which means you shall be here very soon, right? I’m very excited to have you here so be sure to come quickly, hmm? Oh but don’t rush either! Make sure you’re healthy first… and we’ll take good care of you.’’ as usual, Gahee heard her husband speak, chuckling quietly at everything he said.

When he was done talking, he’d peck her stomach and turn to his wife, still not taking his hand away, just in case his daughter kicked. ‘’How are you feeling?’’ he asked, worried about his wife who smiled at his actions. His wife sighed after, thinking for a while ‘’Honestly, I’m not comfortable. She’s moving around a lot.’’ she told him, smiling a bit at him who frowned. He didn’t know how that felt.

‘’Come here.’’ he let go of her stomach, hugging her shoulders instead; he pecked her forehead gently, then her cheeks. ‘’Are you feeling any better?’’ he asked, pulling back just to see his wife chuckling ‘’I guess I am.’’

The following days were basically a repetition of this small night routine until the day she woke up, laughing nervously. ‘’Hanbin..’’ she whispered nervously, to the male who looked at her, tilting his head slowly, waiting for her to speak but she only pointed to her clothes that were wet. He gasped. ‘’Oh my god!’’ he shouted, rushing to get his phone, keys and wallet. ‘’Hanbin’’ Gahee called out, chuckling as the female noticed her husband was almost heading out in boxers. Even though she was about to give birth to their daughter, she was calmer than he actually was.
