''If I walk out that door, I'm not coming back, do you understand?'' in between all the shouts, Jieun could only remember the way her mother shouted at her father, at this exact situation. Their hearts were broken but deep down, all of this could be called out as love; they were arguing because they loved each other, they were arguing because they cared. If they didn't, they'd be shrugging their shoulders at the situation and probably ingoring just how tall the wall between them had gotten.
Donghyuk scoffed as he stared at the female, feeling that maybe she was pulling the rope a bit too much, wanting him to let go so she wouldn't be the one standing on the floor. ''Then go, for all I care. Just how many times have you promised you'd leave?'' he shouted back, watching how her eyes froze on him. She wasn't properly expecting him to talk back to her like that. He wasn't the one to simply let it out like that, much less if he was angry. However, before he could make up for her mistake, she was already flying out the door, banging it to make sure he understood what just happened.
After she left, he took a look around as if this would calm him down but all she left behind was the mess they made out of the heated argument. There were pictures on the floor, pictures in which they promised their eternal love to one another, another Donghyuk insisted to print out and place nicely over the larger wall, the one that reflected her smile the better. Even the sun would be envious at how nicely it lighted Donghyuk's day. That's when realization hit him; he lost it. He lost her smile and everything else that helped him get through his day that came from her.
The sound of the door opening somehow brought some hope back - she was the only one (besides him) that had the key to unlock that door and since they were fighting, she wouldn't bother ringing the bell. Just like he predicted, the female walked in. But she didn't even steal a glance of him. She redirected her body to the room and that was the place she went towards, no stops.
Donghyuk followed her behind, quietly as if trying to get his speech fixed with her steps. He didn't want her to leave, even if they were mad at each other. Even if he hurt her and even if she hurt him, badly. He didn't want to let go of her, he didn't want this to end. Even the pain was comforting to him, as long as he had her by his side.
''What are you doing?'' his quite voice asked her; he felt so little in that moment that the slightest change in his tone would probably break him down. Jieun stopped what she was doing, sniffing as she turned around to meet the male ''What do you think I'm doing?'' she asked him in the same tone he did. The answer was obvious though, even the male knew it. He just didn't want her answer to be the same he had in his mind; for once he wished he was dumb enough not to get a question right. Jieun turned around as he didn't answer that question that had no possible answer. She coughed quietly and pulled out the bag under their bed.
The clothes laid over the bed were mainly hers, some were from the male though - blame him for having such a nice smell she wanted to keep around her all the time. Blame him for letting her use his clothes as well and forgiving her all his love in a way that even if he was away, his clothes almost made it feel like she was always into his two gentle arms, even though they were strong, they never hurt her. His words did.
''Where are you going?'' his kid-like-voice asked once again; he wasn't curious at all, he was just hoping his question would stop her from packing the clothes she threw inside the bag so quickly that almost made him feel like a snail. Jieun didn't answer his question with words; her sobs answered him instead - she wasn't sure of where she was going but it was obvious that she wasn't going to stay there just because of that. They were perhaps too messed up to keep themselves together.
Her hand wiped away some tears that rolled down to her cheeks but never really made it alive to her chin. Suddenly she felt something cold against her cheek as she wiped away her tears. Her eyes peeked at the metal that was wrapped around her finger, reminding her that it no longer radiated the love Donghyuk once had for her. With a soft and quick movement, the female took it away from her ring finger and turned to Donghyuk, desperately. She took his hand away from his other hand (it was almost like one was protecting the other) and landed it on his palm, sniffing quietly. ''I'll make sure to give back to you everything you gave me.'' these words hit Donghyuk harshly.
''What are you talking about?'' he panicked, forgetting for a second that those words he spat just half an hour ago were what got him up to this situation. Jieun smiled slightly and shrugged her shoulders ''I'm giving you what you wanted, Donghyuk.'' she answered him calmly as if this was the right answer, as if there was actually any right answer for a question he didn't want answered. He never really thought this day would come, when they'd part like this because of a stupid fight, because of perhaps way too stupid words both pronounced, kicked and spat at each other.
His hand reached for her, wanting to put the ring back on her finger but the female was quicker; she stepped back, refusing his efforts to stop their parting and bring them back together. It was done anyways. She focused back on her task, that was packing her bag - why was she taking so long to throw in her clothes and belongings? Because it probably hurt watching how easily they parted over something that didn't make sence. Once his clothes touched her hand, she felt like crying even more, hating the fact Donghyuk simply stood by the door, not trying anything to get her to stay - there was no use.
''You're not going to be able to give me back everything I gave you...'' he tried a different aproach, watching the female stop what she was doing before she looked down at the bag right in front of her. She smiled softly, understanding where he was trying to go. ''Neither are you. You took a part of me and I'm not complaining.'' she codly answered, sighing as she decided to stop crying.
They fell in silence; Donghyuk cursed his brain for lacking on answers now that he needed them, or even questions. He wanted to pull out words, even if they didn't make sence, just so she knew how senseless his life would be if she walked out that door once again, with her bag this time. It was almost a one way ticket she freely got; Donghyuk didn't have to pay it either, at least while she was there. Once she left, he'd be paying with all the pain that was left - he'd be recieving the pain though.
''Let's talk this out, please.'' his quiet tone had gotten a bit quieter, maybe because his voice was failing to sound normal. Jieun sighed as she zipped her bag. She landed it on the floor and looked at the male ''So we can end up like this again? There's no need to, Donghyuk. We just... things didn't work out. You'll be okay.'' she mumbled and quietly as she passed by him, pulling her bag along with her. It was enough for her, all the fights got her sick over all those months and the worst part was that she couldn't blame him only. She too had fault over this things because she provocked him.
