Behind Those Fake Masks (Indefinite Hiatus)
Jisoo's pov:
"Sweetie, can you go to the convinience store and buy some garlic? I forgot to buy them during grocery shopping." mom asked, already having started with cooking.
"Can't someone else do it?" I asked, feeling lazy because I was comfortable in the couch, watching a variety show.
"Jisoo, you're the only one doing nothing right now." mom said sternly, making me sigh softly, pushing myself out of the comfy couch to get my bag and hoodie to keep me warm.
"Anything else?" I asked, slipping my shoes on.
Mom shook her head, giving me a smile while handing me the umbrella as I went on my way to the convenience store.
Raindrops hit the umbrella loudly, the wind making me grumble, the wind blowing through my hair and making holding the umbrella difficult.
Why is it even raining this hard?
A sigh escaped me as I walked as fast as I could through the strong wind and rain to the little convenience store.
"Closed!" I hissed, kicking the ground with my wet shoes, feeling frustrated because it was closed.
Foul mooded, I changed directions and went to another store to get the garlic, luckily the rain hitting less hard because the wind calmed down slightly.
There were barely any people around because of the horrible weather, making it easier for me to look like an absolute fool while trying to keep control of my umbrella.
I felt my heart stop for a moment when I suddenly saw someone on the ground, getting hit by the wind and rain like it was nothing.
"Is that person drunk?" I muttered loudly, trying my best to keep myself drunk.
He wouldn't...attack me, right? He looks out of it though.
The dark sky didn't help me to identify the person's situation either.
Wait...that face looks familiar.
The rain was blocking my sight and it was only when I narrowed my eyes did I recognize the person sitting there lifelessly in the rain.
"Jinki?" I gasped, the person not reacting.
Am I wrong?
Carefully, I neared him and bend down, holding the umbrella above our head to stop the rain for blurring my sight.
"It's you, Lee Jinki?" I asked, not completely sure because the rain made his hair stuck on his face and he didn't had his glasses on either.
"Go away." he muttered.
It's definitely his voice!
"What are you doing here on the ground?" I asked, Jinki slowly lifting his head to look at me, his eyes barely looking at me though.
"What's with these bruises? And is that...blood?!" I gasped shocked, holding my umbrella with the help of my neck while I reached him with my hands, cupping his face to turn it.
"Jisoo?" he called my name, probably recognizing who he was talking to.
What's his problem? Why is he so out of it and looking like this?
"It's me, Hwang Jisoo." I confirmed, a soft sigh escaping Jinki.
"You're getting wet." he mumbled, making me frown.
"What are you saying." I scoffed. "You're the one sitting in the rain like an idiot. You're compeltely drenched!" I sighed heavily, trying to make the umbrella keep him fromg etting more wet.
Jinki didn't react to my words, his eyes closing slowly.
"Let's get you home. You look awful. Who did this to you?" I asked, trying to help stand on his feet, but he wasn't helping me either and trying to get a person up with un umbrella that was fighting witht he wind was definitely not easy!
"Ah..."
"Are you hurt?" I asked, surprised by his sudden noise of pain.
Jinki only hummed, trying his best to stand firmly on his own two feet.
"Ugh, this isn't going to work." I grumbled, closing the umbrella, feeling the water drops on my body, a shudder going through my spine because I was cold.
"Where are we going?" he asked, making me want to throw him back to the ground.
"Your home!" I hissed, dragging Jinki with me.
"Oh..."
We didn't talk on our way to Jinki's house, the sound of anture was the only thing that reached my ears.
Just what happend to him for him to look like this?
"Your key?" I asked, already having arrived at his house, the rain getting slower.
Jinki struggled to get the key out of his pants' pocket, giving it to me with shivering hands, ma
