The School Festival Begins
Behind Those Fake Masks (Indefinite Hiatus)
Jisoo's pov:
"What happend to your clothes?" dad asked when he saw me slipping inside through the front door, trying to be as quiet as possible.
My head snapped to my dad who looked curiously at me.
"N-nothing." I shook my head but who was I trying to deceive.
Dad frowned slightly, walking slowly towards me before he took the bag in my hands, opening it and finding my dirty, well half dirty because I kinda washed it in the bathroom, clothes.
"Eh? How come they're like this?" he asked, curiosity appearing in his eyes.
Sighing, I shrugged, giving him a sheepish smile.
"I was baking and let's just say that it didn't turn out that well."
Dad chuckled, shaking his head before giving the bag back to me, reminding me that I have to throw it in the washing machine.
"Jisoo, you're home? Eh? You're wearing boy's clothes?"
I felt my heart skipped a beat when mom appeared out of nowhere, judging how I was looking like.
Nodding slightly, I felt myself becoming nervous.
Mom looked at me with suspicious eyes, scanning me from top to toe.
"Why are you wearing boy's clothes?"
"I got mine dirty."
"How?" she asked curiously.
"I was baking at a...friend's house and got it dirty. But euhm...the only clothes I could get in where these..." I tried explaining. Well, it wasn't a complete lie, right?
There were only Jinki's clothes to wear and he is a...friend...somehow? Maybe I should have said classmate...
Are we even friends...? Could we be called like that...?
Suddenly it hit me, the realisation that I didn't know what Jinki and I were to each other aside from being classmates and that we go to the same school of course.
But are we friends?
What are we?
I felt my confusion getting bigger and bigger, getting lost in deep thoughts if mom didn't pull my out of them, asking why I was spacing out.
"Hurry up and put them in the washing machine." she said, surprisingly not asking me anything more about me wearing guy's clothes.
Did she...believe me then...?
I stared at my own reflection, the light shining a bit too bright to my liking but my lights weren't those high tech stuff Jinki had in his house where you could dim it.
I squinted my eyes slightly together, lips pouting a bit.
"This will do, right?"
Stuffing the white blouse half in my black colored skinny jeans, I nodded semi satisfied.
I looked too ordinair, but it was the uniform so it was okay, right...?
