A Queen and the Nerd?
Behind Those Fake Masks (Indefinite Hiatus)
Jisoo's pov:
With a loud grumble and an arm stuck out of my warm blanket, my hand searched for the alarm clock, attempting to turn it of as the loud noise was making me foul mooded.
Barely awake, I sat up straight and stared in front of me, trying to wake up.
Sometimes I wish I could just sleep a bit longer, even ten more minutes would do.
Taking in a deep breath, I crawled out of my bed and shuffled my way to the bathroom, hearing the sound of water running inside it.
"Hurry up!" I almost growled, not even caring who was inside the shower.
A whining noise gave away it was my younger sister, a few curses escaping her.
"Faster!" I hissed back, running both hands through my hair.
It took another whole five minutes before my younger sister stormed out of the bathroom, hair dripping wet and staining the floor.
"Wake up earlier next time." she said unhappy, eyebrows pulled in a frown.
"Why don't you wake up earlier then?" I scoffed, rolling my eyes. "You never took a shower this early in the morning. Ever since you started middle school, you changed." I sighed, opening the bathroom door more open so that the hot steam could leave and make it less cloudy.
"Not like I'm the only that has changed." she scoffed back, walking baco to her room.
I couldn't say anything back and I already heard a loud bam of her bedroom's door closing.
Another sigh left me before I entered the bathroom.
"Morning."
I turned my head and saw Jinki walking next to me, his hair worser than usual. I stared at it for a long time before nodding my head, a small hum leaving my throat.
Jinki raised his eyebrows, eyes following mine.
"What?" he asked.
"Your hair." I shrugged, trying to calm down my speeding heart.
Why? Why am I like this? It's only Lee Jinki and no one else, why am I having such a fast heartbeat?!
"Bad hairday." he shrugged again, not even trying to fix the horrible birdnest on his head, covering half of his face.
Silence.
More silence.
Biting the isides of my cheeks, I stole glances at him, wondering if I should talk or not because us walking together to school was getting more and more awkward.
"We've arrived." Jinki muttered, making me notice that we had indeed arrived at the school grounds.
"Jisoo!" Soojung grinned, waving her hand enthousiasitcally before her expression turned sour, eyes plastered on Jinki.
"Ew, why are you here?" she asked, showing her disgust in him.
Jinki looked at Soojung and looked away not even one second later, not in the least interested in her and not planning to give her any attention.
"A-are you ignoring me?" Soojung gasped surprised, her hand landing on her chest.
I kept biting the insides of my cheeks, changing to bite my lips.
"Who do you think you are to not give me any attention?" Soojung asked, demanding for Jinki to at least look at her instead of treating her as air.
"Ah!"
Both Soojung and Jinki looked at me, four eyes staring at me till I explained why I suddenly gasped.
"I bit my lip." I explained, pointing to my bottom lip, blood trickling out of it and my tongue tasting the metalic taste.
Jinki moved his eyebrows a few times before walking away, deciding to just leave.
"What's his problem?" Soojung growled pissed.
I simply shrugged, my heart still beating faster than it should be.
"L-let's go." I tried to shake off the mixed feelings I was having. "Sungyoung is still si
