N heard the gunshots going off and froze.

“Was that….?” Luhan tried to form words, trying to process what the small group had heard.

“Gunshots?” Jessica nodded.

“Sounded close,” N glanced at the pair, “do you think….Lina and Taeyeon are alright?”

“Sounded like the gunshots came from where we had been hiding,” Jessica replied, “so they should be fine.”

“Yeah,” Luhan nodded, “they went back the way we came looking for a better place to hide, so they should be alright.”

“Good,” N sighed, “for a moment there……”

“You aren’t the only one,” Luhan assured him, “I think we all thought the same thing. After everything that’s already happened…..”

“It’s funny,” Jessica scowled, “before today, I remember thinking that it would all be ok. That even if I died…..it would be ok because….because…….I don’t know.”

“I know what you mean,” Luhan sighed, “saying that you’d happily die for our cause is one thing. Actually coming face to face with that possibility……..that’s something all together different.”

“We’re going to be fine,” N tried to assure them, just like Sori or Kris or Suho would do in his shoes, but the words came out sounding hollow.

Unknown to the three, the ones responsible for the gunshots didn’t settle for firing off a few rounds and then leaving when they found nothing. They had been ordered to bring back at least one body and if they failed to do that……

Jihoo wanted a body.

He wanted the body of his enemies that he suspected were in the basement. And after finding that secret passage that had been exposed when that dragon girl destroyed ……….

Jihoo was defiantly going to get a body.

So the supernaturals went looking for a body to give him.

Lina and Taeyeon never stood a chance.

And, unfortunately, no one heard them screaming for help.

Unlike Hyuk or even Lay and Hyuna, they had no one in their final moments.

They were completely alone.

A/N: bit of a painting kick right now and, apparently, I can’t get writing inspiration going when all my inspiration is going to painting. *sigh*I wouldn’t mind so much if I could flipping write!! It was all I could do to get this out!! And this is…..this! *sulks* at least my paintings are turning out well. If I’m lucky, someone might even buy them (since I’m trying to sell them)
