Cry Later
Dark Lake Academy“Sehun.”
The young necro turned around and his blood ran cold.
“L-Lay?” Sehun whispered, “Hyuna?”
“It’s us,” Hyuna nodded.
“B-But,” Sehun sobbed, “but this means…..you’re……”
“Dead,” Lay nodded, “yeah.”
“H….how?” Sehun sobbed, his knees giving out.”
“Hey,” Lay tried to comfort the younger, “there’s no time for that. Not now. Not here.”
“We’ve got bad guys to fight,” Hyuna smiled sadly, “we’ve got to focus on that for now.”
“R-Right,” Sehun nodded.
But the tears didn’t stop and he couldn’t push his sorrow to the back of his mind.
“Take a few minutes,” Lay finally said, “then we’ll rejoin the others in the front hall.”
“Hopefully Hyuk can talk to N,” Hyuna said, realizing a second too late what she’d said.
“Hyuk?” Sehun whimpered, “Hyuk…..he’s dead too?”
“Yeah,” Lay sighed, “he’s dead too.”
Sehun dissolved into another fit of tears.
--
Jihu growled as he finished his search on the north part of the left wing. He hadn’t found anyone and he wasn’t sure if that was a good thing anymore. He needed to find Sehun and regroup with everyone. He had a horrible feeling that something bad had happened and he needed to make sure that his gut was wrong.
He needed his gut to be wrong.
Maybe if he hadn’t been so focused on his gut feeling, he would have noticed the gun being pointed at his back.
--
“Here he is,” Xiumin sighed, carefully pulling Chen down.
“Kai,” the older werewolf smiled, eyes not really focusing on his brother, “you ok?”
“Not really,” Kai tried to shrugged, “but it could be much worse. What about you?”
“Everything is spinning,” Chen answered honestly, “I’m seeing, like, twelve of you right now.”
“That’s not good,” Kai frowned, wishing he knew a little bit more about head trauma. Maybe then he could be of use to his brother.
Then again, with his legs pinned……..
“I’m going to find Hongbin,” Xiumin told the pair, “and Kris and Suho since they should be able to get you free, Kai. Both of you just….stay quiet. And Chen, don’t crawl off.”
“Xiumin,” Chen scowled, “I couldn’t crawl off right now even if I wanted to.”
“Right,” Xiumin nodded, “just stay quiet then.”
“Done,” Chen nodded and Kai made a ‘zip the lips’ motion.
Once Xiumin was gone, the brothers turned to each other.
“Are you really ok?” Chen asked, “or are you just trying to make me feel better.”
“I can feel my legs,” Kai sighed, “and they really hurt. Probably broken in a few places.”
“Gonna be a to heal,” Chen sighed, “guess you aren’t gonna be running around for a while.”
“Mom will be happy,” Kai tried to joke, “she won’t have to deal with me running into stuff for a while.”
“He didn’t bring her to this, did he?” Chen asked, trying and failing to recall that bit of information.
“She’s at home,” Kai assured him, “he made a point of her not going because this is council stuff and she’s just a house wife.”
“Never thought I’d be happy to hear such bull from that man,” Chen sighed, “but then……if he knew about this……”
“Naturally he wouldn’t bring her along,” Kai nodded.
“And yet,” Chen laughed without humor, “he lets his sons come into this place.”
“Shows how much he loves us,” Kai nodded.
“I told you two to keep quiet,” Xiumin sighed sadly, making his way to them with Kris and Suho following behind.
“What happened?” Kai asked when he noticed how upset the three all looked.
“Later,” Kris sighed, “we need to get you free first. Hopefully by then Luhan will have Hongbin calmed down enough to heal you.”
“Why does Hongbin need to be calmed down?” Chen pressed, “what happened?”
“Later,” Suho promised, “just…….later.”
A/N: so I’m not completely over my writer’s block, but I managed to get this chapter written so I assume I’m getting better. Let’s home this isn’t gonna be an “assuming makes an of u and me” type thing and next week I’m stuck again.
