After their concerts in Singapore, 5 Pieces return to the practice-room in Korea to prepare for their Korean comeback. All Sunday they practice for the song [I Want A Man], doing it without a live band as they first of all need to really get stuck with the choreography. In total practicing for the new song it is day five of practice on Monday, when the ladies start practice as soon as they come to the agency in the morning. On Friday they will film the music video, so the girls need to know their parts and the choreography in details and everything without any questions, which is why they practice until sweat is running down their backs.

Hannah is seriously practicing in a long black tank top underneath an ivory-coloured logo print t-shirt and black leggings, to cute socks not matching the red/gold round-toe pumps at all (it is her practice shoes for this song). The socks are to not get blisters when practicing, and it works. The ladies all wear the same kind of 11cm pumps, wearing socks to it too, while practicing [I Want A Man].

It is a fun pop song mixed with jazz, soul and R&B, a mix of today’s music and the way back in time music to make it fit for 5 Pieces transformation. The choreography has a lot of simple parts in it, but this song will be performed wearing dresses and clothes that are feminine and lady-like, which means 5 Pieces need to have a completely different approach than what they have had in previous songs. It’s not the cute song like [I Love You] where it’s pretty much just acting cute from beginning to end to pull it off, this song need the feminine touch – 5 Pieces need to find the real feminine lady inside them.

When they first put on the high heels and went through the song for the first time like that, it automatically became more feminine – somehow that is what pumps with 11cm high heels do to their moving bodies – but they need it in their movements from top to toe, it need to be seen in their faces and expressions, to be heard when they sing, and that is pretty much what 5 Pieces need to practice. For two days they practice the song so much that even during breaks they are singing or dancing to the song in their head.

They are really going to make a comeback as ladies this time.

“YA!” Maria shouts out, throwing a sneaker across the practice-room at Carolina, the leader looks like she is going to burn with that red face. “Who the are you to say such bull about my freaking legs?!”

Carolina is taken back by the outburst. “No, I was just-”

“My legs are MY glory, not yours!” the leader is freaking out over a comment Carolina had said, and the leader throws around with her legs – the high heels on the floor next to her – and Carolina glances at the others for some help. Hannah just looks deeper in her cell phone, writing a text message with one hand and practicing some nice move with the other.

“Unnie,” Hannah asks and looks up when their choreography teacher comes back inside the room, no one bothered by the drama between Maria and Carolina. “Could you show me that hand-move again?”

“You need both hands to do that, Hannah,” the female teacher smiles softly and Hannah is fast to put her phone away and get back up on her feet to go through the part. “Ladies, have you all recharged now?”

“Yeah~”

The drama easily forgotten like usually, 5 Pieces get back up on their feet to together go through the song from beginning to end, without the music they sing in low voices and go through each step as one, going through the tiny details for each member with their teacher. They have done it before, but they repeat it to make sure they don’t make mistakes and to learn each other’s positions. Hannah really love the song, it is so different from what they are used to but somehow it is that kind of classic sound that makes your whole body thrill in excitement.

Hours pass by quickly in the practice-room, and before they know it the ladies spend some hours in the recording-studio to record a really cool track called [POWER UP] for their album comeback later, to then go to a nearby restaurant for dinner. The conversation varies during dinner but what Hannah focuses the most about is their single comeback with [I Want A Man], because during their studio recording earlier the stylist had given a call to ask what hair colour the ladies have chosen, just to be told that they won’t get what they want. Hannah will stay blonde for this comeback, Maria too as she planned; Julia will get her blonde colour too, and the other two members will become blonde as well.

“All of us will be blonde,” Hannah sighs, leaning back with her hand holding the chopsticks on the table, looking too tired to eat the delicious spicy stirred-fried chicken meal they are all sharing. They have noodles instead of rice; Carolina’s choice.

“I will rock being blonde,” Emelia chuckles, leaning over Carolina to reach some side-dish.

Hannah grimaces. She does think the members will look good blonde, but she had really looked forward to changing her own hair colour – and what is worse than to being told you can not do something? It makes you want to do it even more. She has been pouting whenever she thinks of it, being upset on her own. She do think it will be weird to have all five members being blonde, as only Hannah and Maria are originally blonde and none of the others have tried it before.

“If we are shooting the video on Friday…” Hannah starts wondering about the schedule, “Emelia and I have a movie premiere on Thursday evening… When will you dye your hair? Before or after the premiere?”

“Ah, I have thought about that,” Emelia smirks, waving her chopsticks across the table at Hannah. “I’ll do it right after the premiere-”

“What premiere?” Maria wonders.

“-I’ll spend the night going black to blonde,” Emelia keeps talking as if she wasn’t interrupted, ignoring Maria’s question but since Hannah is sitting next to Maria, the leader hits her on the arm when asking it again.

“Kyung Ho’s movie premiere, it’s on Thursday,” Hannah answers, taking another bite of the food.

“What? And I’m not invited?” Maria looks shocked at their manager eating with them.

“It was decided by the agency to just have Hannah and Emelia go,” their manager answers without stopping to eat.

“I can go see it with Hyunsuk…” Maria mutters, pretending she is mad to not go on the premiere with the others. Hannah smiles widely at the mention of her friend’s We Got Married husband.

Mentioning him, Hannah picks up her cell phone automatically to see the text message from Jonghyun – whenever she picks up her cell phone she has one or two new text messages from him – and she quietly answers his text before continuing to eat without a word. Jonghyun is at the agency for a few hours, to practice for a concert, and he has asked the whole day if he can get a chance to meet. Maria decides to go earlier with Hannah after dinner, heading back to the agency before the others to meet Mr Hannah before they will have to go back to the practice-room. The two ladies head back on their own, with their arms linked and steps fast to get away from the cold and the curious eyes of both fans and others on the streets.

“Yo, are you intruding our grounds?” Maria walks inside the practice-room like a boy once again, this time greeting Jonghyun who is sitting in the sofa over by the corner. Though she walks like a boy, she will do very well with the feminine comeback, Hannah is sure of it.

“Yo, yo – what are you, a woman or a man?” Jonghyun chuckles with a glance at Maria while his whole focus is on Hannah.

“Would it matter?” Maria strongly responses to his joke and throws his leg away when Jonghyun foolishly threw it up on the sofa to not let her sit. Jonghyun just smiles, not commenting back to Maria but instead smiles up at Hannah and even stands up to give her a hug. “Hannah almost cried missing you when we were in Singapore, Jonghyun.”

“Oh, really?”

“I did not,” Hannah laughs at the leader fooling around, hurrying to take a seat in the corner of the sofa after giving her boyfriend a shy hug, and she puts her arms around him when she sits down next to him with his back leaning against her, so Hannah can put her head next to his for them both to look at Maria. Jonghyun is smiling brightly, hugging Hannah’s arms around him. It feels warm to hug him, to have him lean his head back and quietly whisper that he missed her in the middle of a conversation with Maria. Hannah gets confused when the conversation changes and she gets quiet all of a sudden, hearing Maria’s tone change as well as Jonghyun’s – they are in a serious conversation – and she do understand the part about human rights, that two men should get married and it is that typical conversation that Maria never backs away from.

“Woah, they seriously wrote that? That’s mean! I seriously don’t get what people got in their brains when bashing on other people about who they are. I mean, if a person is a transgender, it shouldn’t be anyone else’s business, right?” Maria is worked up in the conversation, and Hannah is just blanking out.

Fifteen minutes talking about transgender and homouals, Jonghyun leans his head back again to tell Hannah that she is surprisingly quiet.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” Hannah whispers, hiding half of her face in Jonghyun’s hair. To be quiet during their heated conversation is simple, but it’s not like she will lie now when talking to her.

“Human rights?” Jonghyun sounds confused, glancing up to see Hannah giving a pout.

“Transgender,” Maria says and Hannah reacts that she doesn’t know what it is. Maria translates it, explaining in Swedish (okay, she says most of it in English for some reason) about the conversation they have had and Jonghyun just quietly looks up at Hannah sitting behind him. At times he needs to get reminded that she isn’t fluent in Korean, but her clueless face-expression is cute, which is why he leans back to look at her. When Maria is almost done explaining, he asks how Maria can know the words in Korean and Hannah not, and the leader calmly explains; “I had these conversation with Yong Hyun a lot during my solo promotions; I learn a lot of important words from him.”

“And why aren’t you learning it?” Jonghyun leans back to ask Hannah as a joke.

“I was busy-”

“Hannah was acting and talking in Japanese,” Maria interrupts with a chuckle. Hannah actually smiles at Maria’s answer and says ‘homoual’ in Japanese. She thinks she knows more words in Japanese than in Korean. But now when knowing what they are talking about, Hannah can join in the conversation; she makes Jonghyun laugh as he notices the difference, even wondering why she didn’t say something before. She just hugs him tighter, his chest very firm under her hands.

Jonghyun had showed support to equal rights through his twitter about a movement in Korea going on recently, and apparently he had gotten worse critics than when he and Hannah admitted being a couple. Hannah knew about it, she had read about it when he sent it to her and they had actually talked about it over the phone; just a little, and Jonghyun talked the most. She kind of understood a little, something about what he was talking about it, she didn’t understand the details though and had forgotten to check it up online.

What makes Hannah smile widely is when Onew comes inside the room in search for his band-mate, and Maria is proudly and loudly telling him how wonderful it is to be that Hannah’s boyfriend has such a nice brain (she means he has the same thoughts about equal rights) and Hannah just hides her face in Jonghyun’s shoulder while he is laughing at Maria boasting to Onew about Hannah and Jonghyun. Maria sounds really old talking about it, even saying that Jonghyun has a good mind about women, which is the reason she allowed them to become a couple.

“You allowed us?” Jonghyun laughs loudly, holding Hannah’s hands away when she tries to cover his mouth. “Ms Leader,” Jonghyun says in a sarcastic tone, “this relationship is about two people.”

“Ya,” Maria lifts her chin at him, almost kicking out her foot over the sofa at him, absolutely not caring that he is two years older that is very important in Korea. “If it wasn’t for me, Emelia would have beaten and hanged you for even getting Hannah drunk that time in LA.”

Hannah gives out a shocked sound at the words of her leader, and Onew overdoes a laugh (he has sat down on the floor in front of the sofa) and claps his hand loudly on the floor. Jonghyun just smiles remembering the time in Los Angeles three years ago. Hannah tries to cover his mouth again to defend them herself; “Maria, you do remember that you were the one giving me alcohol?”

“Oh… I did?” Maria seems to not remember it, which makes them laugh again. “Anyway, I was not the one kissing her that night.”

“Oh my…” Hannah whines and hides her face again.

“Emelia really would have beaten him up?” Onew wonders.

“Oh yes!” Maria’s eyes get huge. “I would too.”

“No, you wouldn’t,” Jonghyun laughs lightly, holding on to Hannah’s wrists to keep her arms around him. “Because everyone likes me~”

“They do not~” Onew sings along and Hannah laughs even more at him joining in.

Onew and Jonghyun are sent out when the other ladies return, for them to focus on their practice, and Hannah sneaks outside with them when Jonghyun pulls her along. She glances after her to see Emelia noticing it, but no one comments. Jonghyun only takes her outside to kiss her, a deep kiss of longing. They then parts, smiling at each other when backing away in different directions, and they wave before Hannah disappears inside the practice-room.

The rest of the evening is spending practicing as well. The ladies even go through their individual parts from beginning to end with their teacher, just for their teacher to make sure it is as it should and they continue to practice with the whole group to the music until midnight.

 

Coming back home, Hannah jumps in the shower first.

She puts on lotion and her favourite raglan-sleeve print t-shirt that she sleeps in, and she puts on a pair of socks too before hurrying down the stairs, hearing Carolina loudly singing in the bathroom next to the stairs.

“Carolina can’t stop singing the song,” Hannah comments to Julia when coming inside the living-room. The youngest got energized in the shower, even jumping around with Ryo happily following her, laughing at the puppy who almost starts barking at the fun Hannah is having. Julia is sitting tailor on the floor between the sofas, brushing Michin’s fun and looking around at Hannah and Ryo running around.

Out of the blue, Emelia sitting in the kitchen starts singing [Rudolph the Red-Noosed Reindeer], playing it on her cell phone. Hannah laughs before she happily joins in, singing along on certain parts that she knows, and Ryo continues to happily jump around with her. Eventually she picks him up and jumps around with him in his arms singing along to another Christmas song in English as she didn’t know the whole song Emelia was singing.

“Hannah, can you brush Ryo instead of running around?” Julia asks in a motherly way. She has had to hold on to Michin for him to not run along and jump with the other two children playing.

“You want to be brushed?” Hannah cutely asks Ryo and kisses his long fur while hugging him, walking over to sit on the floor next to Julia. She has just started to brush when Emelia comes inside the living-room, getting the puppies and the two ladies’ attention by holding a little box of Pepero (cookie stick) that she is eating out from. “Emelia, we’re not supposed to eat at this hour.”

“I have lost weight already, I’ll eat whatever I want," Emelia answers, comfortably taking a seat and chewing on the chocolate end of the cookie stick, having both puppies looking at it.

All five of them have lost weight during their concerts abroad; they only noticed it when they came back home. According to the agency and their stylists, they will look prettier in their [I Want A Man] outfits after loosing weight, so for that reason they are trying to be good “idols” and not go up the weight they have lost; but the members are really good at eating. Their only diet at the moment is to not eat at midnight, which is difficult to not do for them.

Hannah is brushing and kissing Ryo, being in a really good mood because of the puppies. What she looks forward to the most with their full-album comeback next year is the amount of time they will spend in Korea; they will be with their pets almost every day during their album promotions. Julia laughs at Hannah kissing the puppy endlessly, but still Julia is also lying down on the floor playing with Michin and showing him a lot of affection too now when she is done brushing him. They only talk about the puppies, using baby language with them and cuddling and being the sisters who have missed their pets when being away. They just can’t stop playing. Emelia puts the box of cookie sticks away to join them on the floor to play with the puppies, getting louder and more playful by getting them jump and run around.

“Julia… are you gonna take a shower first or what?” Maria comes inside the living-room, sounding tired because she wants to take a bath but she doesn’t seem bothered at all over the girls playing with the puppies – they have done the same thing every day since they came home from America.

“Yeah, yeah…” Julia answers with a smile, extremely slowly getting up.

Hannah can’t stop smiling with them, really liking how they are getting along these days. Though the members are pressured for their comeback, so nervous of the concept and terrified of how others will react to it, the ladies seem to be friendly with each other and just laughing at everything. For some reason the panic they had when they got the y feminine concept for [Girls Power] disappeared when they learned about [I Want A Man]; not a y but just a feminine concept with a thrown back in the time style. Wearing dresses and that is no problem at the moment, because 5 Pieces seem to get in a good mood whenever they hear or think of their new song. They are excited for it, personally all of them liking this song and the way it is structured and everything about it. It isn’t too cute; it isn’t anything else but a mature feminine concept and for once there is no complains about it.

It doesn’t take long until Jonghyun is calling, like always not leaving an hour between the last time they spoke (text messages or calls). Hannah is still smiling, happily playing with the puppies using one hand while the other hand holds the phone by her ear. She smiles up at Emelia when Jonghyun says something, and she then giggles with a ‘yes’ and gets up on her feet. Emelia doesn’t even bother to ask where she is going, but when Hannah hurries to the hall, Emelia shouts out that he can not stay for long. Without a response, Hannah leaves the apartment in a pair of slippers, not even bothered that she is in her nightclothes just because Jonghyun had used that charming voice of his to tell her that he has some minutes over to meet her.

Like a fool rushing to her teenage crush, Hannah runs downstairs to open the front door of the building to Jonghyun, who steps inside with his arms around her. They are really alike, smiling at each other with smiles so big that their eyes look tiny. He holds on to her head, being so close to her face that she can’t barely breath, and in a low voice he tells her about the movie he just saw and he keeps smiling when telling about his day and mentioning meeting her earlier, even complimenting her outfit now. He compliments her, makes her blush, makes her cheeks hurt from smiling too much, makes her whole body get warm and filled with butterflies by holding on to her, touching her with his hands, by looking at her the way only he does, and all this, he does within fifteen minutes. Being in love is still something new to Hannah, she is fascinated to look at him, to think of how he makes her feel just by taking the chance to see her briefly before he has to leave. For three years, she still finds this feeling new; the feeling of being in love.

 “Get the feeling right, Emelia, please,” their choreographer comments and copies the dance move but with a different feeling than Emelia. “You’re in love, you have the urge to tell the world about this man who is the perfect match; there is no one else but him…”

“Let Hannah explain it,” Julia jokes and Hannah just gapes at her, but with the others laughing at the joke, Hannah laughs too. She blushes as well, shy that her members are teasing her just because she has a boyfriend. Hannah only explains by singing the chorus, dancing to it while looking to be a fool in love. Maria laughs at it, even sits down on the floor of laughing hardly at everyone fooling around with the new song.

They are serious when practicing; most of the time. After Monday, the ladies have spent the next two days stuck in the practice-room as well, having practiced with the live-band as well as with the back-up dancers. It’s a long day of practice today too, already being Thursday which is the last day of practice which means they do take the time to fool around; it’s impossible to continue otherwise. Today they film the result of the choreography as well, wearing high heels, no make-up and their own clothes, hoping they don’t look completely silly. Hannah wears a sweetheart-neck long sleeve t-shirt in white (white tank top underneath), light-blue shorts and for the video she wear knee-high socks, while she during the rest of the practice was basically just wearing the tank top, shorts and socks pulled down because she gets too hot like the rest of them. Maria is so comfortable around the others that she wears a cropped top and shorts, and then when she feels cold she pulls on the biggest cardigan she owns, and for the practice-video she puts on a skirt to get the feminine concept right.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, the first and second teaser for their international music video [(Dare to) Face Me] came out. It came out as a surprise, but the ladies were sitting in the practice-room, tweeting and using their blog and Instagram and whatnot to link the teasers the both days. Their single will come out in January, the full date revealed in the second teaser, and the comments … the comments made it all – ‘yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes they are back!’, ‘oh did I just hear 5 Pieces laughing at boys in this teaser? They look freaking hot!!’, ‘OMG A COMEBACK YES PLEASE OMG’, ‘5P is so cool…’, ‘They look gorgeous, and the song sounds like something Destiny’s Child would sing =D’, ‘love it’, ‘5 Pieces always have good meanings behind their songs, and FACE ME definitely sounds like one of them. Always looking forward to their music’, ‘no one is freaking out over that diva-look Maria gives the guy????? Hyunsuk better kick his ;)’, ‘they should come back with a good song after [Daze], or they will be forgotten -.- poor little kids won’t even notice it’, ‘liking the teasers, how 5 Pieces seem to be turning down boys, and people … 5 Pieces can do it while being fully dressed. Never saw that coming did ya? HIT THEM PIECES!’, ‘I almost fell of my chair seeing this, because it means 5 Pieces is focusing more on international activities now right? Can’t wait to see the full video though! It looks like a new hit song, which actually isn’t all about half s in bathtubs singing they are heartbroken but about ladies saying they need some respect too – THIS IS WHAT YOUTH NEED TO KNOW! Waiting for the whole product…’

But it’s Thursday now, which means after spending the day in the practice-room, the ladies get an early evening to get a good night of sleep before they have to get up at 3-4 in the morning for their music video filming. But Hannah and Emelia don’t go home to sleep. They freshen up, put on sponsored clothes (both in jeans, boots, a long-sleeve top, a matching jacket and scarf) and head to the VIP premiere of the new Korean movie Nightmare starring their little brother Kim Kyungho.

The two girls pose friendly at the premiere carpet, standing closely together and posing lightly while they are so nervous for Emelia dying her hair blonde (they all going blonde) for tomorrow’s music video, nervous to film the music video, and Hannah is nervous about being at the premiere because everyone is thinking the same thing; Kyungho is 5 Pieces’ little brother, of course they come to his movie premiere. The two ladies step aside, walking up to the journalists wanting their attention and they are being filmed and photographed and everything just to be given a statement about the movie. One journalist first asks what they think of the movie – and Hannah smiles at Emelia because they haven’t seen the movie yet.

Emelia answers politely; “We have watched the trailer and it seems to be a really interesting movie. We really look forward to see it”

“Child actor Kim Kyungho is in the movie. Any comment on that?” the journalist asks and holds out the microphone. Emelia puts her arm on Hannah’s back, which can be something casual, but Hannah knows it means she should answer. But what to answer on that: Comment on him being in a movie, comment on his character before even watching the movie or what to comment about?

“He is very talented and young with a lot of passion, so we definitely are happy to be able to come to the premiere to see his first movie. It will be fun,” Hannah lightly says and finishes with a big smile as the ladies are waved to move further.

The next journalist has only one question; “Did you know that SHINee is here tonight as well?”

Hannah looks at her friend, a little dumbfounded by the question and not really sure what the journalist wants to be said with that, but Emelia is so much better than Hannah to answer questions as she coolly answers; “They are? We had no idea.” And she says it in a way that will make people wonder if she is sarcastic or just joking by the silly question, and the girls then walks inside with smiles, running away from the journalists and being met by nicely dressed men who shows them where to go – their manager is with them.

They don’t reach far until they stop, because the little boy Kim Kyungho is rushing through the corridor, happily squealing by the sight of them and he runs right into Hannah’s arms that she holds out to him. Before stepping out of the car earlier she had texted him to let him know they have arrived, and Kyungho had been walking back and forth inside waiting for them to come.

“The Hyungs are here,” Kyungho says with his eyes enormous, glimmering in excitement that there are so many people there for the movie premiere. Of course he knows a lot of people are there for the world star starring in the movie, to support the movie and the cast and directors, but for Kyungho to know that Hannah, Emelia and other SM artists are there just for him is warming his heart a lot. Hannah smiles at his face-expression, hugging him again before he takes her and Emelia’s hands to guide them to meet everyone else.

He is such a child, getting excited to introduce everyone to each other and he has a lot of energy, wanting to do everything really quickly. He introduces the ladies to the cast; 5 Pieces being greeted by the cast with respect, as 5 Pieces have a name of their own, and the ladies show respect when greeting everyone else as well, both the actors/actresses and the directors. Hannah don’t forget to thank them for treating Kyungho so well, taking on the role as his older sister rather than a senior because she doesn’t think she is hear as 5 Pieces’ Hannah – Kyungho wants her there as the older sister, to share his hard work with someone he can share his excitement with without having to hold anything back. She knows his feeling, that’s why she is here. And he won’t let go of her hand, happily introducing her to everyone he knows there. Both members of EXO and SHINee are there, both for being told by SM to come and to show their support to Kyungho as the youngest actor there.

His role in the movie is to be kidnapped, he will be screaming and crying and his scenes are really heartbreaking to see; Kim Kyungho is a great actor. Hannah is amazed when watching the movie, and she is happy sitting next to Kyungho in the cinema, having him ask her what she think of this and that part.

“Hello!” Julia warmly and excitedly greets the camera that meets up with her as she is walking outside, in the cold holding a warm bathrobe around her. She glances to see where she walks as the man before her turns around to tell her not to slip, and she then smiles at the camera-man who is filming the making of or behind the scenes for 5 Pieces’ great new music video. “We are starting day one of the video making… Woo! We’re back again to make a new video with a new single with a completely new concept – can you guess how excited we are?”

She smiles even wider when the camera-man comments that she has changed her hair, and Julia right away takes a hand up at the classy bob hairstyle with a cool sandy blonde colour. It is wavy and classy with long, pretty silver barrettes for details on both sides by her ear, looking really classic even if she is wearing a bathrobe. She looks different, more mature yet her smile is completely childish.

“All ladies become blonde this time. We are planning to surprise everyone with this change, both with our looks and the song, and we are really having fun with this concept so we hope our fans will do it too,” Julia keeps saying very warmly and then gives a light bow with her head as she has to keep walking.

Coming after Julia, the camera-man captures two more ladies that are in a hurry to get inside but has the time to give one comment; it’s cold. Carolina who before had a black hair-colour has changed into bronde (the darkest shade of blonde) which matches her big smile gloriously and she is coming jogging with her arm linked with Hannah, who hasn’t changed her hair much at all as she has still long blonde hair; the dirty blonde has become medium blonde, meaning more of just one colour.

It’s December 20, 2013, and 5 Pieces are up and awake and ready to start off the music video filming for [I Want A Man] with the bedroom scene. All five of them waves to the camera filming behind the scenes, while they can’t stop smiling when talking to the director. The room has been prepared with a double bed and arm-chair in the corner, everything looking antique and classic with dull lights; and 5 Pieces’ livens up the place. Getting out of the bathrobes that they all wore to stay warm, they grab even more attention.

They are in nightwear; Emelia looks stunning in a white pyjama set of a lace top and shorts, her waist-long hair has been coloured rose gold blonde to match her light skin-tone for now put up in two braids and somehow put up nicely around her head with silver barrettes to look like a real lady. She is almost shining like a princess with the simple and pretty make-up, walking over to sit in the arm-chair with one bare foot on the floor while sitting on the other, even being directed on how to sit more like a lady. Julia has it a little easier with a cute t-shirt and shorts, getting to sit on her knees in the bed and she is fast to grab a pillow from the other end of the bed to keep it in her lap, looking ten years younger. Carolina is wearing a pink cable-knit a-line long sweater with shorts not visible when she sits down on the floor, right next to Maria who gets to sit in the centre on the floor (they sit on a really cosy mat that Emelia’s toes are cuddling with in the back) and the leader has her long bleach blonde hair all pulled back and leading down her shoulder into a thick braid that she personally had asked the stylist for when they were looking through pictures – that’s how they decided their hair-styles, looking through hundreds of different pictures before choosing the kind of braid they want – and she is wearing a yellow satin nightdress, luxury and stylish but it isn’t short or revealing so it looks really good on her skinny body, the long legs looking flawless like always. Hannah gets to sit with Julia in the bed, wearing a long-sleeve tight top in red with a pair of white night-shorts and a few locks of her blonde hair has been taken from the front to the back to hang down in a small braid, so you can see her hair is put up in those pretty silver barrettes but the rest of her hair falls down in pretty curls.

“So for this scene,” Carolina starts saying in a loud voice, making the ladies all look up at the camera-man stepping up to them before they will start filming, “we will be chatting among the ladies. Just us having some fun and chatting about this perfect man that we found.”

“*And that man is you~*” Maria is fast to sing the song, being inspired by the end Carolina says as it sounds like a part in the song, the leader adding some adlib in the end to keep the tone longer. They are in a great mood.

Carolina just keeps talking to the camera-man; “We have gone back in the time to express a very feminine concept and in this scene now we are … in a hotel bedroom, in our nightclothes, and we got these beautiful headphones somewhere that will play our music.” Just as she mentions the headphones, a staff comes up to them with the thick crystal headphones that look absolutely dreamy. It is Maria who will wear one pair, to beautifully lip-synch to her part in the song they will film for and Emelia will have a pair around her neck that she then takes off to throw to Hannah, who will lie down on her back in the bed for her scene where the camera is above her and with the headphones on, she will do her short part.

5 Pieces are models of a new collection for a popular jewellery brand in Asia, so the necklace Hannah is wearing, the headphones, the barrettes and all the jewellery they will use for this music video have been sponsored from the brand for 5 Pieces to show it to everyone. They will take pictures for it too as well as a short commercial part of the ladies just saying the brand or something. So all ladies have necklaces, earrings, bracelets, rings and barrettes of the brand, not having much at once but throughout the whole video they will show it off very casually.

They have some classy scenes for the music video. 5 Pieces in this video are celebrities back in the time, therefore all the luxury with silver or gold dresses with fancy hair and make-up with 5 Pieces doing scenes where they are supposed to be on a small club stage, performing with a microphone stand in silver, shimmering in the spotlight with pictures being taken and they will be in a dressing-room with their pretty silk gowns with their names on the back and talking with their female dancers who are all nicely dressed too, but the music and the stylish choreography and movements is what really makes it.

It is three scenes for day one, ending late. After a few hours, they begin filming again for day two.

For day two, they start off doing some solo filming. Which Hannah finds the most difficult part because they don’t have a choreography, but just have to lip-synch and charm and don’t look awkward – which is hard when you are on your own in front of the camera.

Maria is the first one to greet the making of camera when they prepare for the next part. Her hair is all curly, looking much shorter and almost like a wig, and she is wearing a glitter black hat. The black fitting shorts look to be tailor-made directly on each member as it is around their hips and it goes all the way up above their waists with three pairs of big buttons as well as their own kind of suspenders; they have in different colours, there are glitter and other details for each member to have her own style while all five of them also have a white tank op underneath. Only Maria is wearing a hat too. She smiles at the camera when she glides up in front of it, having the set behind her for their first scene of day two.

“Behind me you can see the jazz club where 5 Pieces will be performing. We will be dancing right over there,” she says and points over behind the tiny round tables but in front of where the band is set to be. She nods for herself before she looks back at the camera, a hand on her hip. “And we are in these… really nice clothes that we are going to dance in. Don’t they look good?”

All of a sudden she points over to the other ladies that she had seen when talking, Carolina standing with her back against them and hands on her back while she, Julia and Hannah are talking to the director.

“Carolina’s will get a lot of attention for this comeback. I never knew it was that pretty,” Maria naturally comments, looking from a distance and then nods before she walks away without another word. Maria will get back the ert nickname she has for this comeback because she has a special love for butts, and she has no problem showing it.

After spending a week practicing for [I Want A Man], the ladies doesn’t really make any mistakes in the choreography. They do surprisingly great; impressing not just themselves but their teacher is impressed as well. It is just tiny issues with the outfits or facial expressions, but repeating the song several of times it goes really well. There is a great-looking jazz club, everyone wearing vintage clothes and matching the place and everyone is just very stunning. Like they have created an old world in the new world, which the director explained was the point to the concept.

Make-up and outfits is the main focus for these three days, because 5 Pieces have all dyed their hair blonde, they are wearing these feminine clothes, there are a lot of dresses in glitter and jewelleries and basically a lady-like style. So the stylists have a lot to do, constantly having to check 5 Pieces’ make-up to have it perfect, touching their hair and making sure no part of these tight clothes are loosen up or getting ruined in either the dancing or when the ladies are just fooling around.

“What are you doing?” Hannah laughs when coming up to the bar, where Julia and Emelia are acting out a drama scene where they are drinking and being fancy in their outfits. Julia waves a hand, actually copying Maria’s diva-way.

“What do you mean, darling?”

Hannah just rolls her eyes and sits down behind Julia, not joining their little acting but just to rest a little. Julia and Emelia are giggling in the most girlish way they know, all until stylist Mi Young says that is not how it is supposed to be like. But they really enjoy this concept. Hannah isn’t sure if the ladies take it seriously or not but the result for the video turns out gorgeous, and that’s what really matters.

It takes three days to film the music video. During the last scene on Sunday, they are filming in this fake alley they have set up and it has a white limousine with ‘5 Pieces’ written on the license plate and the whole place will be used for the opening of the music video as well as being the teaser of when 5 Pieces arrives outside the jazz club, stepping out of the car in their nice shoes and walking inside. Being their classy and lady-like selves, like celebrities in their own movie. This is also where they film a part where a boy is supposed to look through a window, like the underage he is he is not allowed inside the jazz club but the music and presence of 5 Pieces will make him want to sneak a peek. And this boy is none other than Kim Kyungho; 5 Pieces’ younger brother.

He looks adorable in the vintage outfit, and he is for once really quiet. Hannah has no idea of why he doesn’t say much but he seems shy to be featuring in the music video, which everyone takes notice of and has to mention for him while the boy just smiles shyly. It’s fun because the ladies aren’t filming when Kyungho is, but all five of them are standing on the side in their bathrobes, looking at him doing his part and giving him praise and confidence. They take pictures for memories afterwards as well with the boy and with one scene left and some interviews, 5 Pieces promises him to eat dinner together afterwards.

For these three days, 5 Pieces have been taking pictures nonstop with their cell phones, Emelia’s big camera; they have had stylists taking pictures, a photographer taking classic behind the scene pictures and every single picture they have taken has turned out really nice – they thank their stylists for their nice look.

5 Pieces sits down on two rows with the limousine and set in the background, doing the making of interview. Like they will start off officially from now on, Hannah is sitting in the middle. Since they are in two rows, the two who are supposed to be on each side of Hannah are now standing behind the three girls. So it is Emelia and Carolina standing in the back, then Julia sits on Hannah’s right side and Maria on the left, all of them looking good even if they admit they are a little tired after filming the music video and they have rehearsed what to say.

“Viewers of Arirang TV,” Maria starts off saying and the ladies together greets; “hello, we are 5 Pieces.”

They have greeted other channels during these three days filming, standing along that wall to do a brief interview and then sat down in front of that set to do another interview. Yet, it is a secret that 5 Pieces is making a comeback. It was an article that came out at the beginning of the week that 5 Pieces will release singles in Japan, Korea and internationally at the start of the new year, but nothing other than an internationally single has been confirmed. And it will stick like that until the teaser for [I Want A Man] will pop out of the blue.

“Our new music video has a throw-back in time concept where we are 5 Pieces of a different generation, and we are invited to play at a jazz club. It is a fun music video with a lot of details, so I think even after watching it several of times you will still take notice of new things each time you see it,” Maria is answering the first question.

“What is the fashion concept?”

Hannah gets the little microphone box from Maria and she hands it to the back where Emelia takes it to answer the question. “For each comeback we always try to challenge ourselves and this time we have taken on a feminine concept; the outfits are very lady-like with pretty dresses and fitting clothes that works with the lady image. The point to our fashion this time is probably that our outfits shines a lot and are often based on one or two-colours. Very lady-like”

“Could you describe your new song?”

Emelia holds down the microphone over Julia’s shoulder, but instead of Julia taking it, Hannah takes the microphone though she holds it with her hand resting on Julia’s lap, so it still catches Julia’s voice when she starts answering the question – the one in the middle is in charge of holding the microphone. “Our new song is an up-beat song with a modern twist of the 20s, 30s, 40s. It could be a typical love song, but … it has more attitudes in it, and it is a little sassy to fit 5 Pieces a little more.”

“The song is very fun to listen to and the choreography is simple too, so we hope everyone will enjoy it and please look forward to our activities in 2014,” Hannah finishes it off with a simple smile.
