“He called me Hannah!” Emelia is laughing a little too loud when she sits down on the chair, laughing even more when repeating it and she hits her leg for how fun it was. “You should’ve seen his face.. Oh lord, that was hilarious.”

5 Pieces is on the set for their second music video; [I’m Over You], when they just yesterday finished the video for [I Want A Man]. Emelia has finished filming her first part, and she had gotten a surprise when the music video director called her Hannah just because she is now blonde and the director (who has worked with them before) is not used to have five blonde girls instead of one or two. The stylists in the room are all laughing at Emelia’s words, while they a few minutes before she came in were talking about how alike 5 Pieces suddenly has become by having the same kind of hair-colour. Maria sees no likeness between the members because they all have a different hairstyle and a different shade of blonde, but she is also from a country where blonde is something a lot of people are born with.

“Is it cold outside?” Hannah quietly asks when she walks to the others inside the big bus that has transformed into 5 Pieces’ dressing-room, and she is fast to caress the puppy Ryo on the back as he became very happy that she came over.

“Weren’t you just outside?” Emelia wonders, closing her eyes when the stylist fixes her make-up.

“No-”

“Hannah has been in the back,” Mi Young says and Hannah just nods, glancing behind her where the clothes are cutting off the second half of the bus.

“In the back of the bus,” Emelia repeats, keeping her eyes clothes and hands moving as she has music in her head. “Hannah… We’re doing the group scene after lunch, aren’t we?”

“I think so?” Hannah doesn’t know but she looks at the stylist who is nodding and the youngest has to take a seat to not be in the way for another stylist walking by. “I haven’t even gotten dressed yet. Who’s filming now?”

“Julia and Carolina are doing now. Maria will do right after lunch before the group filming,” the female manager standing by the door says. She had stepped inside when a camera-man came, filming the making of for this music video as well. Hannah was the first to do her solo shoot today, before the making of crew even had gotten there. The youngest is wearing sweatpants and a big sweater (she has a tank top and a top under the sweater) as she hasn’t been filming for the past two hours, and there is lunch before she will be filming again. It is winter, therefore the warm clothes, but Hannah has been in the bus since her filming ended in the morning and she is now in desperate need to move her body a bit. She is quiet for a few minutes, just thinking and cuddling with Ryo in her arms.

“Nuna, could I go outside with the puppies?” Hannah quietly asks, leaning a little on the side to see their female manager. Hannah has ants in her pants; she can’t sit still anymore.

The manager just nods, and while Hannah puts on the leash on both Michin and Ryo (getting them excited by asking if they want to go out and play), the manager steps outside and waits by the bus-door for Hannah and the puppies to come and another camera-woman for the making of or something for SM Entertainment’s footage room is filming out there.

5 Pieces has come a bit outside the big city for the filming of the music video, and to fit the concept they are out in the bush where everything is covered in snow and there are a lot of fields and hills around them which is perfect for the music video filming that they have imagined, and the staff and everyone have their cars and buses pulled together by a small road where they will not be disturbed by anyone else as there is only a forest nearby and a bigger road. The sky is completely blue and clear – the weather is great, and a little cold, and the ground is covered in snow.

“Should you take a jacket?” the manager asks Hannah when she starts walking away from the bus.

“No, thank you,” Hannah lightly answers with her focus all on the two puppies that seem to really like the snow. Ryo starts rolling around in it right away on the road.

They just walk a bit from the bus, and Hannah squats down on the side where the two puppies start playing in the deeper snow, she is also happy like the puppies even if she enjoys watching them play more than joining them. It isn’t much snow at all, but everything is completely white. The camera-woman is trying to take some pretty shots of Hannah sitting there and making noises to the puppies that run to her and then right away back to the snow and Hannah is just smiling widely. “They love the snow. And Ryo is so white that he can disappear in it, hi-hi.”

“The cold doesn’t bother you?” the camera-woman asks, and Hannah knows she had asked Maria the same thing earlier and Maria was really cold at that time because the director had showed them the scenes they will film outside so they had been outside for some time and Maria is easily frozen.

“At the moment… it doesn’t bother me. But later when we are going to film, I will probably freeze a lot because I won’t be dressed this warmly. As long as my hands and arms are warm, I rarely get cold,” Hannah says and she mumbles the last part while looking at the puppies, throwing a little snow towards Michin who ha started to roll in the powder snow now. She takes up her cell phone to try taking pictures of them but ends up filming the puppies because they are moving too much for the pictures to turn out good, constantly being filmed herself. She points up on a hill too, where you can see they are filming. “I think it’s Julia who is filming now.”

She stands up, goes through some pictures on her cell phone and glances up at the camera-woman when revealing a picture to the camera.

“Can you see it?” Hannah asks the camera-woman who nods. “The other day when we were filming the other video, we took a lot of pictures like this because … well, all five of us are blonde. It’s fun.”

She keeps smiling when looking down at her phone again, taking out the camera to try take more pictures of the puppies. The puppies were with them when they were filming [I Want A Man] as well, just staying in another room to not interrupt the filming but receiving love whenever 5 Pieces went to change their clothes or something. The ladies take every chance they can to be with their pets, and now when they are in Korea, they do not want to go to work without them. Even Ace is with them; he had been sleeping behind the clothes in the bus where Hannah had been sitting for almost two hours to sit with her laptop and to listen to music and to check online on what is going on around them.

Some of the staff along with one of 5 Pieces’ managers had left in one of the vans to go get lunch for everyone working, so for one hour everyone sits down in their cars and buses to eat before they will get back to work. While Maria films her solo part, the other ladies are getting ready for the group filming.

Hannah has her hair up in different pins and barrettes in white and silver, getting it all big and beautiful to match the absolutely stunning white strapless satin and taffeta cathedral ball gown. It is gorgeous from top to toe and it is so long that the white pumps she wears aren’t even visible; Hannah gets to wear a big v-shaped necklace and earrings as well, and she is stunned by how beautiful the clothes are. She has never in her entire life worn anything like this; it looks like a wedding dress. It’s even hard to stand in it in the bus because it is so wide, so Hannah head outside as soon as she is done, having one holding her hand to help her out from the front and one standing behind her to help out with the dress. And to this outfit she does wear a jacket as the dress have no sleeves at all – she will be filming outside in this dress!

All five ladies have these gorgeous white dresses, long and with some glitter accessories. Julia is in a white evening gown of satin and lace, where the lace is longer sleeves to match her short hair-style, and though it is in lace, Emelia says she shouldn’t complain as much as her about the cold because Emelia is wearing a off-the-shoulder satin dress – Emelia likes to be the one you should feel pity for. Maria is in a white maxi dress, which is thinner than the others and she is just sitting down the moment she gets outside, having a jacket and blanket around her because she can’t stop feeling cold, yet her mind is positive that they will make the absolutely perfect music video doing this as she already has played with her dress and found out that it flies around simply so if walking or running she can make the most beautiful moves for the camera.

Like always they take tons and tons of pictures. They stylists take pictures of their hairstyles before they even step out of the bus, then take a single picture of the ladies in the outfits now on the set though they have it from when they tried it on the first time as well, which they do for every new music video outfit and style. Then there is also a group picture taken and the ladies take their personal ones as well. To easily say it, they take endless of pictures. Still, no one uploads it on social media because until tomorrow, this comeback is still a secret – tomorrow it is December 24, Christmas Eve, and the first teaser for their comeback will come out.

The ladies get to wear their jackets and carry hot packs when heading over the snow to where they will film the first part, having a bunch of people helping them by holding their hands and holding up the dresses which looks hilarious so some people just have to take pictures of it – and Maria shouts for their manager to take a picture with her cell phone too. It takes fifteen minutes just to walk the bit that would take seven minutes if it wasn’t for the dresses. And like expected, the girls are cold even before the filming starts.

They stop where they will be filming, and they will just stand there and lip-synch to the song, standing next to each other with a meter’s distance, someone standing a little in front and another a little behind. And the staff even has to throw snow to cover their footsteps on the side but the camera angles are awesome so it won’t be seen.

“IT’S COLD!” Emelia screams watching Carolina who copies Hannah waving her arms to try staying warm.

“Let’s get this right away, ladies!” Julia cheers but her voice shivers and the staff are all cheering them on as well and the director calls out if they are ready and the ladies all shouts together that they are ready. Hannah grimaces because she has gotten snow in her shoes, but she stops right away when the director makes a visible hand movement that they are starting and music begins to play for them to lip-synch.

Though they try to hurry the process because of the cold, it does take time and each second feels like a minute when they are standing in the winter cold in dresses. It’s funny how the staff wants to hurry forward and warm them with jackets while changing the angle on the camera but the ladies are just shouting them to hurry change the angle and get through with it, not wanting the staff having to cover their footsteps again just because they want to warm them. They do the scene of just standing there and lip-synching, and when preparing for the next scene the ladies get to hold on to hot packs and have jackets wrapped around them. Hannah holds on to two hot packs, at first holding them towards her ears, but when seeing Carolina doing the same and she looks hilarious doing it, Hannah puts them by her nose instead.

They then do a scene of the ladies running (it isn’t really running but they will use it in slow-motion for the video so it will look better) past the camera. It takes time doing that scene because they fall, they run weirdly because of the high heels, they need to get warm, they have to fix the dresses, they need to re-do the parts because the dresses were held up too high or too low or it didn’t look good and it is the scene that takes the longest. But they have fun. The girls can’t stop laughing – that is a mistake in the filming as well, the ladies laughing when they are running. Emelia is asked by a making of camera during one of the short breaks in between if they have run on snow before, and she just chuckles at first when saying they have; but then adds that they have never done it in high heels before.

It’s super cold for the filming now, and the ladies even starts talking about all kind of hot things when they are slowly making their way back to the bus; they mention food and drinks and baths and whatnot that is hot and is something they want right in this cold moment. The staff around them is in on it too, also laughing when Maria first mentioned how it would be great with a nice hot bath.

But even when reaching the bus, it takes time to get inside of it because of the dresses. Hannah and Julia are hugging each other with the jackets on, rubbing their hands on each other’s arms and backs to try gets warm and they are both laughing when the making of camera is filming them, but they don’t stop because they really need to get warm. Manager Lim is standing behind Carolina, rubbing her arms over the jacket as well while the other two ladies are getting in the bus first. Or Maria is getting inside the van of theirs, as their manager had started the engine for it to get warm by the time they arrived.

 

After finishing the filming and photo shoot out in nowhere, 5 Pieces get a ride back home. It’s late in the evening when they arrive and though they would be very smart to go straight to bed as they have the last day filming in the morning, the ladies have another idea. Already in June or august, Carolina came up with the idea to bake on Christmas. It was just Carolina’s wish until December finally came and Emelia started to crave for saffron buns. And a little on the side during their schedules, they have looked up what ingredients they will need to make what they want on Christmas, and now since they will be working on their comeback on Christmas Eve, the ladies have made up their minds to make the Swedish holiday treats they love to eat during Christmas that they tomorrow can share with all the staff that have worked through the cold with them for the music video.

So the ladies prepares in the late evening to bake. They go all-in with this too; wearing pretty aprons that fans have gifted them a long time ago, putting up their hairs and even helping each other with it (that is because Maria had already started to touch the flour so Hannah had to tie up her hair).

“Who is making what?” Maria asks. “I’m doing saffron buns.”

“I’ll help you,” Carolina offers herself right away.

“Who is making the rice pudding then?” Hannah wonders, taking out the rice and grimacing as she looks at the recipe.

“Julia and I are making almond caramels, so Hannah can make the rice pudding,” Emelia comments. She and Julia are about to start too. “How many are we making? 200?”

“Why that many?!”

“Because they are yummy…”

“Emelia has a big sweet tooth,” Julia laughs.

“Fine… do how many you want. How many ovens do we have?” Maria knows nothing. Emelia knows though, saying they have two ovens and saying they can put in two baking plates in each oven for each round and also adds that Julia and Emelia aren’t using an oven for the almonds caramel because that is basically the question Maria asked; and Maria gives her a glare, then mutters that she knew that (she didn’t know that).

It doesn’t take long at all until all five ladies are busy baking and for Hannah, she is making a delicious breakfast for them. But since she need to wait for the rice to boil, and after that her only work is mostly just stirring it around. So while waiting to have something to do (she do the dishes too, helping out to clean up around the other ladies making a mess in the kitchen) she also takes a picture with Maria on the leader’s command.

In the picture that Hannah uploads with Maria’s instructions, it is the two ladies standing next to each other with the aprons a little visible and with big smiles, and Maria is holding up the bowl of yellow dough while Hannah is the one holding the camera. Maria had been strict to not let Carolina appear in the picture, because when the picture is uploaded, no one knows the other ladies are blonde.

“5 Pieces is baking. Maybe we should start adding that as a group-hobby whenever we are asked during interviews?” Julia is joking, secretly taking some of the sliced almonds left over.

“If we had the time, I’m sure I would do it more often,” Maria says. She and Carolina have sat down around the kitchen table while letting the dough to rest for an hour. “We could go on some cooking lesson or something. We even have cooking books, but never use them.”

“Should we like … make a deal or something then?” Julia comes up with an idea, and since it is only two members interested in the conversation she looks at the other one; Maria. “Whenever we get some time over, we cook something. If we don’t have time to eat it right away, we can put it away. Omma said that is a good thing to do because at least we use the kitchen other than making smoothies and warming prepared food, right? Who is in on that?”

“We can make a list of things we want to make, and make sure we have the ingredients to when- Ya, Ace, get down,” Maria is interrupted by their cat Ace jumping up on the kitchen table, where they will be making the saffron buns later. She picks up the cat to simply toss him down on the floor, busy making plans with Julia and they even starts taking out papers to write down their ideas and Julia takes out some cooking books for Maria to look through while waiting to keep on baking.

They keep talking and baking for three hours and in the middle of it they starts cheering and gather around each other checking the iPad that Emelia shoves in their faces. Their teaser comes out at midnight, and it’s midnight. As soon as Emelia points that out – she had the alarm on for it – the ladies suddenly get very busy. Hannah is fast to add the teaser link to her twitter account, simply writing ‘MERRY CHRISTMAS’ to it, and within seconds she is smiling widely when showing the comments to her members – just like Emelia is reading up comments to the members too.

“Oh, I like this one; ‘OMO, what a perfect Christmas present! A Korean comeback? My love to 5 Pieces is growing by the day thanks to this, stay healthy and don’t overwork yourselves too much’, and there is a cute heart added at the end,” Emelia reads out with a smirk.

But the teaser doesn’t really show much. It is a teaser showing the limousine arriving, a tease of some instrumental music and of 5 Pieces stepping out of the limousine; but the only things caught are their feet and legs. It is a perfect teaser, revealing absolutely nothing but raising all their fans excitement with the sudden teaser. Later today, the ladies will personally confirm their comeback on their blog and through twitter with the information about their pre-single. Exciting!

“But no one seems to take notice of the concept,” Julia mentions, still tasting on the candies they are making.

“They do,” Hannah mumbles, standing with a ladle in one hand and the cell phone in the other. “I get a lot of comments about the shoes in the teaser and questions about what kind of concept we will impress with this time.”

Though the teaser doesn’t reveal anything it is still proof that 5 Pieces is making a comeback, and the fans seem overly excited for it which puts the ladies in a good mood too. They finish their baking and hurry to clean up before going to bed, and all of them fall asleep with excitement to share their baking with everyone on the day they celebrate Christmas in Sweden. For the Koreans they are a day early, but 5 Pieces stick to their traditions because in the morning when waking up, the ladies sent mails to their families to wish everyone in their family a good holiday and a nice last week of the year as well as hoping to see each other soon again.

So in the morning the ladies are very busy. Again they woke up early, not for the music video filming but to be able to spend Christmas Eve as a holiday before they go to finish the video. They all are silly when dressing up in their one-peace dress after waking up, being silly when walking around with some Christmas songs playing in the living-room; Hannah prepares breakfast for everyone, taking out bowls and warms the rice pudding on the stove, Julia takes out the puppies on a walk after that Hannah has given the pets their breakfast too and Emelia is helping out to clean up in the kitchen from what they didn’t finish before going to bed. Maria and Carolina takes the longest writing their mails home, and Carolina checks some articles as well apparently because out of the blue she calls out from the living-room that an article about their teaser has come out asking ‘SM Entertainment Releases 5 Pieces’ Comeback Teaser?’ and since there are no comments came out about it from the agency or the girl-group, there is basically nothing to write as it is just an unknown teaser that doesn’t even show it is 5 Pieces’ feet other than their name written at the end. But that makes it so much more fun.

“Merry Christmas!” Manager Lim’s voice echoes from the hall in the apartment when he comes inside. “Ho-ho-ho.”

“Appa!” Emelia rushes out from the kitchen right away, her feet spinning as fast as they can to get to the hall.

Hannah is in a hurry to finish setting the table by placing the rice pudding at the centre of the table and she counts and makes sure everything is out. She has taken out milk, sugar and cinnamon to put it on the table and also prepared a fruit bowl of kiwi, melon and apples (she got the idea last night when Julia mentioned smoothies) because she knows the ladies like fruits. She is still standing by the table when Manager Lim comes inside the kitchen, and she smiles widely because he is so fatherly by coming in the morning to eat breakfast with them.

“Woah, it smells like Christmas here,” he praises her and gives her a hug. “I have three big bags with me filled with presents from your fans – Emelia grabbed them as soon as I came in. Are we eating first or after?”

“First, of course,” Hannah answers in his arms; “Merry Christmas, Appa.”

“Ho-ho, Merry Christmas, Hannah,” he jokes by adding a darker voice, laughing. “We’ll have to hurry up if you want to have time to open the presents too.”

Everyone takes their seats when they shout for them to come, digging in on the rice pudding and Julia praising the fruits right away as if Hannah had read her mind. But half of the quick breakfast they are talking about the presents, curious what their fans are giving them on Christmas. Fans always seem to send gifts to 5 Pieces, and lately their manager had gathered the gifts in these huge black plastic bags half the size his body to arrive on Christmas Eve morning like Santa Claus to make the children happy. He hear how the ladies boasts about what they have been baking, Julia getting up to show him all of the almonds caramels and saffron buns, even offering to their manager while eating breakfast.

“You made all of this last night?” he sounds impressed.

“Surprised, aren’t you?” Maria looks super proud. “We divided the chores and helped out with everything, and the result turned out great. Nothing burnt, everything awesome, and we cleaned up as well.”

“Woah… the director will be deeply surprised too,” Manager Lim smiles at them. “And this rice pudding is really good. You didn’t mention it once last year.”

“I did!” Hannah answers right away. “I told Julia about it all winter.”

“It was annoying,” Julia whispers to the manager as a joke, laughing as Hannah pouts and their manager laughs too.

They put the bowls in the dishwasher when they are done, turning it on and putting away the leftover rice pudding while Emelia prepares the gifts in the living-room, making space for them on the floor next to the Christmas trees and the pets are curiously staying around them, wanting to know what’s going on and they get more excited when Julia comes running inside singing that it is Christmas time and that is the time of presents. The moment they starts barking, Manager Lim’s voice is heard from the kitchen where he helps to put away the last things.

Manager Lim sits down in the sofa, letting the ladies have their fun with the presents where Emelia picks up one present, reads out the name on it and hands it over to the chosen lady. They pick out five gifts each, as they don’t have time to open everything (even the pets get their presents). Manager Lim takes pictures of them eventually, because Emelia gives him her big camera to take the moments as children of 5 Pieces.

“Have you noticed that you are all children on this day? Every year…” Manager Lim mentions while Carolina is cheering widely over a pink t-shirt with her face on it.

“Appa, you should know that on Christmas, everyone is allowed to be children,” Maria poetically answers him while opening a present.

“We have to leave in fifteen minutes. And none of you are dressed,” Manager Lim reminds them, but he can’t stop smiling because no one is listening to him as Emelia cheers at a Polaroid camera. Hannah is loudly laughing when showing off some chocolate bar from England (it stands ‘greetings from England’ on a letter) – her fans knows she love chocolate. Carolina gets some 3D puzzle with different famous buildings around the world and Julia actually gets these children pearls, you know the kind you put on a thread as a child to make a bracelet or necklace in many colours. Maria even gets a colour kids toy where she can decorate (paint) her own pony…

“I think our fans buy presents at ToysRus,” Julia giggles when seeing that Carolina has gotten a whole map filled with colours for her to paint and it looks like children’s paint while Carolina gets overly excited for it. They get a lot of creative things, which actually makes them excited because at mind and heart they will always be kids, and they get just as excited for other gifts. Julia gets a funny glass – a wine glass. What the fan meant when sending that, the ladies really make fun of trying to imagine. Carolina only receive the most childish things; Lego Marvel Super Heroes. She receives lego and that is the present she gets the most overwhelmed by – even Maria gets jealous.

Hannah actually receives a pink cell phone case, and though she definitely does not like pink – she uses it. For some weird reason, she uses it.

They all have their ten minutes of Christmas celebration with presents and excitement before they get ready in another ten minutes and end up being late because they had apparently baked way too much – but it will be worth it. Excitement, excitement and excitement; the ladies arrive at the music video filming set and they greet everyone with their arms and hands holding on to the bags of the two kind of sweets they made.

“Swedish treats for everyone!” Maria cheers as staff is flocking around them, at first curious to what is happening and then impressed when seeing how 5 Pieces have baked for exactly every single person working on this music video today.

All day, they get praise for it. the director is super impressed, saying that he has never had worked with someone who personally baked for him like this and on the side through the whole time when 5 Pieces is being praised, Manager Lim is standing with a big proud smile. He had gotten his own five saffron buns to bring home to his family, as well as some almond caramels.

Today they are filming indoors for [I’m Over You], the last day filming for their comeback music video, the fifth day in total. Hannah walks around wearing a long black skirt and a small black tank top, which definitely looks good in front of the camera but she just feel awkward walking around in it; she hides under a blanket that she walks around with, and with fluffy slippers she is cutely hurrying around after this and that person who she is close with or teases at the set. She has fun with the slippers that their stylist had brought with him because she will be barefoot for her filming.

When Hannah during the day is waiting for her turn to film the solo part, a making of camera-man comes up to her after have been filming the other ladies (honestly, Hannah has stayed away from the cameras because she is just a child running around today – it’s Christmas Eve…) and the camera-man says that the other ladies mentioned that this song they are recording have a connection with Hannah.

“Ah…” she smiles widely, feeling very pretty with the good amount of make-up and hair done. For some reason she feels pretty with the make-up because her clothes are the simple style. “The song is [I’m Over You]… I wrote the lyrics to it.”

She glances away shyly after saying it, and lucky her, someone calls for her to get ready. She is relieved that she doesn’t have to talk more about the song, and she hurries away to get a touch on her look.

“Are you ready to get in the motion?” the music video director asks when Hannah comes up on the scene.

“Yes, of course,” she nods with a huge smile at him. The director gives a lot of comments during filming, he seems to really like working with 5 Pieces and he shows it with compliments and words all the time. He was hilarious yesterday when they were filming out in the snow, and he is funny today too when he follows her up to the prepared wall, that has an indoor trellis made of wood covering it nicely.

“This is your toy for the scene,” the director explains and by the use of ‘toy’ Hannah blankly looks at him without understanding what he means. She has filmed a lot of music videos in her time, but no one has said that; the director for her drama filming used to say that, but the ‘toy’ was usually a gun or another weapon. The director shoots a smile at her when placing his hand on the trellis. “I want you to hold on to this and deliver the song to the camera. It is stuck, so you can lean on it; hang on it – whatever you feel for, it will hold.”

And out of the blue, he tries it himself, making her and others on the set burst out in laughter at his sudden love to demonstrate. Hannah just nods when he is done and asks if she can do it, and he explains it a little more before they can begin. Hannah just laughs at first, embarrassed to try the same thing.

But she thinks of the song, of the message, of the lyrics, and of what they have been filming so far. [I’m Over You] is that great song you can sing to an ex, your ex-boyfriend, for example. And since Hannah wrote the lyrics to it a long time ago, she does know what she had in mind when she wrote it. With the music starting to play, Hannah turns her back against the trellis, lip-synching and holding on to the wood behind her, leaning forward and leaning back, lifting up her chin and she smiles as if she is mocking someone in the song, and she looks over at the camera filming her when she puts down her chin again, her part in the song ends. Through her whole part, the director had shouted things over the music, saying ‘great’ and ‘make your legs live’ and he made her smile, which became ‘smile more’ and so on. The music keeps going even after her part and she can see a movement behind the camera to keep on, and Hannah just smiles a little while hearing the lyrics. She can’t believe they actually agreed to let them promote this song; to release this song.

The director shouts ‘cut’ and waves Hannah over for her to see what they filmed, and he gives her some directions and expresses how much he loves the mocking smile and how she holds on to the trellis, and it is really good all of it but for some parts he wants her to move more freely, as if she can do anything with that trellis. Hannah nods, her mind repeating what he had been doing and when they start again, once more doing a long shoot of her part. Hannah turns around, grabbing a hold of the trellis with both hands but drops one hand down her side when her knees bends and she almost squats down, leaning back so her hair falls down, and the director cheers excitedly, telling her to slowly go up and he cheers more when Hannah pulls herself up with her arm. When they look through the part, Hannah asks if she can do the same thing again because she isn’t satisfied – for this next time she has more confidence, and she takes advantage of her body-type, as if wanting to show this ex-boyfriend she sings about that he has a lot to miss out with her.

They film a lot, repeats the same part in the song to get it better and different parts in the song, both Hannah’s and the other members that might be used just briefly.

During the day, Carolina suddenly runs around barefoot on the cold floor (with their manager hurrying after to not want her catch a cold) and she is running around singing Christmas carols excitedly and then when hugging Julia, she calmly, cheesy, starts singing the chorus of [I’m Over You].

*I pushed you away!

I’m so over you, yes!

‘Cause honestly you wanted me to be your…*

“Sing it,” she orders Julia and repeats the third line for Julia to add in the low, bored voice;

I know I’m now the bad girl (bad girl that you can’t change…)

After filming two music videos for five days, 5 Pieces spends one day practicing for a Japan Live Concert as well as doing two photo shoots with the classy concept that they have for their comeback and the next day on December 26, they will head to Japan for the concert in the afternoon. But before they will go to Japan, Hannah and Emelia head to the practice-room to practice some more on [I Want A Man], that they by now will perform live for the first time in just five days. Five days left to the New Year!

But the fun part is the fact that fans are outside the agency when they arrive, which the ladies were completely prepared for and the fact that teaser two of their comeback video came out this morning, all die-hard fans of 5 Pieces are curious if 5 Pieces really have gone blonde. Most seem to think it is just blonde wigs for the concept or something, while others are really excited with the new hair-colours and today when stepping out of the van, Emelia is wearing two scarves around her neck and a hat that she had borrowed from Hannah and she looks like she tries to hide the hair under the scarves while it is so obvious that she is blonde and Emelia is just having fun pretending she is hiding it while she isn’t hiding it at all – she just loves the loud response from fans outside the agency when they screams out about her going blonde.

“Imagine how the crowd in Japan will go like,” Hannah laughs when they have come inside and are heading towards the practice-room.

“Yeah, with five blonde European girls on the stage. They will be confused – probably call all of us HANNAH-CHAN!” Emelia laughs at the imagination too, imitating the Japanese fans cheering Hannah’s name. Hannah smiles widely when she holds up the door for Emelia to walk inside. “We’re doing it live, right? Because I can’t get the tones right apparently – and we are doing the New Year show live.”

“Sure,” Hannah simply says, heading straight over to get two microphones while Emelia fixes the music. They are two girls who know how to do it, with or without all the members.

Maria is off filming We Got Married, and she has texted that she and Hyunsuk are helping the elderly making food. Carolina was still sleeping when they left the apartment and Julia decided to take some time for her self and the puppies there as well, while Hannah and Emelia are two restless girls who can’t be still when they have so much to learn.

“Jessica and Sunny are performing with Maria tomorrow, did you know that?” Hannah tells Emelia while preparing for their practice.

“Mhm…” the rapper mumbles, focused on the stereo.

“I have kept thinking she would perform [Princess] tomorrow. But then she told me it’s [Let’s Get Together] in some idol battle against Julia and Yuri.”

“Yeah I know,” Emelia finally looks up at her. “I heard when they planned it. KBS is doing an Idol Battle thing on the music festival – which I think they do every year – and this time, SNSD and 5 Pieces are doing a battle too because both Julia and Maria have songs featuring SNSD. I think it’s great though. Because they have both worked hard on their solo things this year, and Maria definitely has made it big by being the best solo artist of the year, right, and the rest of us just have to perform the remix of [Daze]. For once, I’m actually happy over that, which means I can focus more on other things. Seriously, we got too many things going on at once.”

This time it’s Hannah who answers shortly, just nodding. She thinks it’s great too that both Maria and Julia get so much love for their solo activities this year, but that doesn’t mean it’s easy on them; they have so much going on at once that they barely even have time to practice for the music festivals going on for the last days of 2013. The ladies can feel it now. They finished the music video filming for their comeback, all excited over that just to be told about the concert in Japan they will attend and perform several of songs, then it’s the music festivals and award shows and it is interviews and appearances and the ladies are just so ready to make a comeback that they had almost forgotten that they have to finish off the image of 2013 before making their comeback.

For every practice you start with stretching, both stretching the body and warming up your voices and it goes simple with just two members practicing. But when they start to play the song on a low volume and begins practicing the performance, it feels hilarious because they are missing three people. Hannah and Emelia keeps glancing at each other, finding it so funny to be dancing and knowing their spots and imagining all five members being there together and though they are seriously dancing and singing they can’t take it seriously as it just looks as something huge is missing. During Maria’s amazing part, Hannah bends forward with a laugh at how empty it feels, and after doing the song just ones she sits down with a huge laugh.

“It was a long time since I practiced with just one of you,” she is loudly laughing, hitting her face and Emelia is chuckling when walking around.

“Agree. It’s so weird. Normally the others are around us even if we all don’t practice at once… Remember when we were preparing for our first album, and we were doing this all the time because there was always two of us off on some variety show or radio program,” Emelia comments, chuckling again. “We would practice until 3AM at that time.”

“Yeah… It’s hard in a different way now,” Hannah mentions, getting back up on her feet as Emelia puts the song on repeat.

“Definitely harder,” Emelia breathes out. “I mean… we are going to wear pretty dresses in white and whatnot for this comeback. When we prepared for our first comeback, that wasn’t even something anyone could imagine. This song isn’t anything I think we would ever do.”

“But it’s nice, right?” Hannah asks her, “[I Want A Man]”

“Sure…” Emelia shrugs her shoulders. “Our voices have improved, haven’t they? So sure, it matches us more now than five years ago. I still prefer [Black & White] over the new concept; being cool is more my style.”

Hannah smile as they starts practicing, thinking of what her friend just said. In 2008 when 5 Pieces had their audition, they were a rock band. Now in 2014, they will be feminine ladies. They have come a long way since then; it’s not about how many awards you receive or the amount of people that enjoys your music, it’s how 5 Pieces have grown personally and as a group, how they more are one and works together and communicate, how they have grown to know they can make a change in this world part by part by telling what they think and notice a lot of people agreeing with them… It’s different. Practicing for music the same way they did five years ago, doing things the same way but noticing a big difference. Their voices, their bodies, and the way they move, how they really know how to do things compared to all the thousand of questions they used to have.

Practicing with Emelia on their own is something very rare. But they have so much fun doing it, mostly because the gap from the other members is huge so they keep taking notice of each other. Focused but entertained, the two of them continue repeating the song several of times. In between they exchange advice and comments to each other about the song, about each other and the practice, helping each other out on certain parts, and all too soon they are interrupted by a manager entering, saying the van is there.

“And off to Tokyo we go,” Emelia sighs when grabbing her things and head out the door.

Hannah isn’t sure if it is a good or bad thing by the tone Emelia uses, because she sounds to not wanting to go while Hannah knows her friend love to perform in Japan.

“You know it’s raining in Tokyo, right?” Emelia mentions to Hannah when holding up the door for her, grimacing a bit over the information she knows. Hannah just smiles while Emelia continues in a mutter; “Wet snow in Korea… Rain in Japan… And mom said the weather is bad in Sweden too. What happened to winter, you know, with snow all the way up to your knees and chaos in traffic…”

“I bet you miss winter in Sweden,” the manager comments in front of them.

“Hell yeah.” Emelia turns to Hannah. “We should take Kyungho with us there sometime, when it’s a lot of snow there and we can play outside in the cold… He would love it so much.”

“You would love it,” Hannah laughs.

Emelia smiles, knowing that’s true. Even if they are over 20 years old, the ladies love to play in the snow. Emelia is a child, Maria is a child, Carolina is a child, Julia is a child – Hannah is also a child. They are all children when it comes to winter, about the snow and about Christmas and they don’t really care to hide that.

5 Pieces all together in the van, they head to the airport in all excitement about how people will react to their blonde hair-colours. The van is loud because of them, and the managers are in the conversations as well and they are laughing and talking over each other and hitting each other’s chairs and they are full of energy. Only when arriving at the airport, Julia mentions that she thinks she is getting a cold – hurts a lot.

“And you didn’t bring any magical tea?” Emelia chuckles right before she gets out of the van. “No one is getting sick to New Year.”

“Especially with a badass comeback, so ya’ll better stay healthy,” Maria warns them, giving a glare at each member as they step out of the van after her.

“If I can remind you all one thing,” Manager Lee says while following them, “to watch your language, please, please, and don’t forget that you are 5 Pieces; an idol girl-group.”

“With a badass reputation to be totally awesome, duh,” Maria rolls her eyes, ignoring him completely. “Seriously, Oppa, you are the worst manager ever with your little talk about reputation and idiocy – we know who we are.”

“Let me guess; you are badass?” he rolls his eyes behind her, none of them knowing they have exactly the same face-expressions and reaction at each other’s words.

“Totally badass!” Maria cheers, and then laughs when Hannah gives her a stare because they are walking through the doors to the airport. Maria just hugs on to Hannah briefly, saying she is cute for thinking Maria cares if anyone looks at them – people look at them anyway, five blonde girls walking through the doors, everyone turns around. Just to realise they are 5 Pieces and a crowd follows them right away, cell phones put up.

“And Oppa said no one would take notice of us being blondes,” Julia giggles. Manager Lee is heard sighing behind them.

As if he has the last minute time sense, Hannah’s cell phone starts ringing right before they will board the plane. After talking to Kyungho in the van, it’s quite obvious who calls this time, because there are only two people that give Hannah frequent calls and that is Jonghyun. And somehow he always manages to call when she is at the airport, just gotten off the plane or just about to board. Hannah answer the call, holding the pink phone by her ear (the Christmas present she got from a fan) while talking to her boyfriend. He gets a huge surprise when she says she is at the airport, and he is confused whether she has just arrived or leaving – he doesn’t know her schedule after all.

“I thought we were having a movie night…” Jonghyun complains with a pout over the phone, and Hannah pouts at Maria standing next to her; the leader is just looking down at her own cell phone.

“Tonight? What made you think so?” Hannah wonders. She has no memory at all making those plans.

“I was going to surprise you,” he sighs.

Hannah chuckles. “No wonder. But I’m going to Tokyo, won’t be back until morning. Hey… we are meeting tomorrow though?” He can’t be upset that they won’t meet tonight because tomorrow they will possibly spend the whole day together at KBS – at least they will be in the same building.

“But it’s a long time there…”

“Hannah,” Maria glances up at her with a frown covering her forehead, “is your boyfriend whining?”

“Say hi to Maria from me,” Jonghyun says as he heard her voice. Hannah just laughs at them both, for Maria hearing his voice over the phone and for Jonghyun hearing hers.

“Cell phone,” Manager Lee says in a low voice as they are about to board, just reminding her to turn it off. Hannah sighs and exchanges some final words with her boyfriend, who still is upset he had planned a surprise visit when she won’t even be in the country. She doesn’t know why, but she seriously is not a cell phone person. Each time her phone makes a sound lately she gets annoyed, she doesn’t say much and just waits for the call to end – sadly, she doesn’t like being on the phone with anyone, not even her boyfriend, though his voice by her ear is probably worth it all times. But now she has to focus on Japan; the whole flight to Japan, the ladies are going through their songs and the lyrics and imagining themselves on the stage, performing to remember the choreography. Their last visit in Japan for 2013…
