It’s the second half of MBC Gayo Daejun going on, the last hour of 2013. Carolina and Hannah had missed almost one and a half hour of the music festival because they were at the drama awards, and they went straight to change their appearance.

Hannah changes into a pair of black skinny jeans with zipper-pocket details, a brown belt and black ankle boots with a 9cm high heel. The white v-neck t-shirt has long sleeves and is in a thin cotton material, the front tucked inside the jeans a bit and she has changed into a black bra that is more than obvious as the stylist pulls down the collar over her left shoulder. Even if Hannah pulls it up automatically, Yong Hyun is fast to pull it down – he seems to know her habit. The sleeves hide her hands, and he keeps pulling that up for her while Hannah likes to hide her hands in the cosy material. In other words; Hannah and her stylist have two opposite opinions about the outfit. One thing they have in common is that they love the chic look. Hannah gets to wear a necklace with the words ‘make-your-wish’ written on it, and her hair is still put up in a loose pony-tail, locks hanging down on the sides and her lips are coloured lightly red.

“You look so damn hot!” Maria exclaims when coming inside the room after talking with some other idols, and she just gapes at Hannah who has stylist Yong Hyun fixing the tucked-in t-shirt.

“I know, right?” Yong Hyun stands up with a proud smile, stepping back to look at Hannah. The youngest stays quiet, focusing to hold in her stomach and not to bite her lip with the new layer of lipstick. “I’m the best stylist for you, baby.”

“It’s kind of like… super y, but not revealing at all,” Maria says when walking up to them, glancing behind Hannah to see how it looks from behind.

“And it shows off her figure perfectly,” Yong Hyun adds. “Both men and women will get jealous when you get out there.” Hannah isn’t really sure if they expect her to give them a response; they are too busy praising Yong Hyun’s skills at finding the perfect outfits for Hannah’s body.

She is actually relieved when she is called to the stage, for a second just wanting to get away from her stylist and friend’s eyes looking closely at her outfits, as if she is a mannequin in a clothing store. Hannah hurries out, hearing them wish her good luck and as soon as those words registers she realises she is about to take on the stage with her boyfriend for the first time since their relationship was publicly announced. The butterflies rush inside her stomach and she finds herself somehow staring at Jonghyun when she comes to the stage. Jonghyun looks absolutely perfect in a pair of black/white painted skinny jeans, a white tank top and black leather jacket, both of them looking at each other up and down.

A smile enters Jonghyun’s face and Hannah is smiling back even if her head is almost spinning for what they are about to do. How will the audience react to this surprise?

“Are you ready?” he asks and holds out his hand for her.

Surprisingly, she nods in response. “You?” she can hear her voice ask in a whisper. Jonghyun nods too, giving her the microphone-pack that the staff had given her. He has his on already.

“I’m as ready as I can get,” he tells her while looking at her arms when her hands disappear behind her to put down the microphone-pack in the back-pocket of her jeans. He is holding her microphone too now. “I’m nervous though, and happy.” He meets her eyes, and they both take a deep breath.

Hannah had felt confident performing with Carolina at the drama awards because her friend had been nervous. Now, she is terrified from inside and out because she will perform with her boyfriend. Last year when they performed the exact same song at the SM Town concerts and SHINee’s concerts, she hadn’t been nervous because it was for fun. She tries to tell her that now too, pretty sure it will feel better once the performance starts as she can take on the role as 5 Pieces’ Hannah. But until then, she can’t help but to look nervous. Her eyes are big when a staff says they have to go take their positions.

“I’ll see you on the other side,” Jonghyun jokes when giving her a hug.

“Good luck,” Hannah whispers before backing away from him, and she smiles when realising they are going to surprise every million watching this in the audience, on the TV and at the live stream on computers all around the world. No one knows who are going to perform for the SM Collaboration. Tiffany and Key have already started their performance, and then it is the mix of rappers doing [Like a G6] before it is Hannah and Jonghyun’s turn.

Jonghyun will be on the main stage while Hannah will be on the stage surrounded by people. When she walks over to the door there, swallowing and clearing over and over again, drinking some water too, she meets up with f(x)’s Amber, EXO’s Chanyeol and Kris, who are about to get out for their performance. When seeing each other they all smile and waves, Amber and Hannah both giving each other the thumbs up in good-luck before the rappers head out for their stage.

The nervousness is overwhelming when waiting for her turn. Hannah stands there with a manager and two staff members, nodding her head to the rappers’ performance while trying to calm her stomach. She have a lot of worries for this performance, of how it will turn out like, what the reaction will be, if she will manage to take on the role as a singer and not as the girlfriend for this performance…

“We’ll do it,” she whispers for herself, hoping it is the truth.

The dance pop and electro pop song [Get Your Kiss] begins to play and Hannah follows the staff through the door to stand at the back of the hall where no one can see her; in front of her the floor is white as if showing her directly up to the stage. Jonghyun’s voice is heard, performing with dancers on the main stage. The audience has started to scream as soon as Jonghyun made his appearance, cheering to the song too. Both of Hannah and Jonghyun wonder if they know who he will perform with. Hannah won’t make an appearance until the first chorus has been sing, though she has a few words added in the background here and there. She turns on the microphone, keeping the microphone in her right hand when standing closely to the doors, ready to let her voice be heard in the background.

It is the song that was played a lot at the clubs last year; the audience is seen jumping on their seats with balloons waving in the air. The song has a really nice beat, not too fast and with the weird lyrics it fits really great. It’s Jonghyun’s song from beginning to end, his and producer Park Hyekyung’s work for SHINee’s concert last year. The concerts had become a nightclub with this song. Now it isn’t exactly the same, but definitely it seems like the crowd is showing a good response. The chorus begins, Jonghyun jumping and singing loudly at the main stage, his voice rough;

At the end of the chorus, Hannah started to make her way up on the stage. She slows her steps a bit, hearing the audience at the back start screaming their lungs out at the blonde girl’s appearance among them and the audience sitting on the other side at the back noticed dancers appear on that side, only spotting Hannah when Jonghyun sings the next verse, pointing straight ahead of him where Hannah is walking to the centre of the long stage with some y attitude. Loud music, a cheering audience and dressed up, Hannah gets into character right away, placing a hand on her hip and moving to the beat.

Hannah keeps moving her body lightly to the music when Jonghyun sings, smiling a little at the audience sitting between the two stages because those closest to her have turned around in their seats and are reaching out their hands towards her and screams. They both have the voices or main vocalists, Hannah’s American-style voice fits with his unique voice, and it is fun to just give out a sound like ‘ha!’. Hannah takes a glance at the dancers around her, all women, and she keeps going in her character to sing the lyrics as if she is talking to Jonghyun across the hall.

She head to the left, going to the wall-stage just like Jonghyun is doing. The crowd cheers and jumps even more as the meters between the couple is getting smaller, Hannah keeping the attitude when walking up to the centre of the wall-stage where they meet up while he is singing;

The electronic repeat of ‘just give me your kiss’ is hilarious no matter when they perform it. This time, standing face to face, Hannah smiles at him while leaning her back against the wall, Jonghyun moving up to stand in front of her but just like practice they let the camera stand next to them to capture their faces. Jonghyun leans a little more forward, the crowd shrieks in excitement but Hannah pushes him away and she keeps smiling when he does it again for the third repeat and this time as the camera glides up behind Jonghyun, Hannah leans forward to put her hand on his neck, her head next to his as her eyes focuses on the camera now in front of her, and as the last sentence is repeated she bites her lower lip, letting go of it before Jonghyun pulls her towards the main stage, singing the chorus. The audience is so loud, not really following the actual song but more going nuts that a real life idol couple is performing a y song together. They keep playing during the chorus, jumping and dancing while heading towards the main stage.

With the chorus coming to an end, Jonghyun is behind Hannah, putting an arm around her when singing ‘give me your kiss’ and the crowd goes so loud at everything they do. Both of the idols give out their own adlib as Hannah gets out of his arm, starting to sing a little challenging as Jonghyun follows her. He takes her hand while she sings, Hannah gets out of it to during the lyrics point down and up before shrugging her shoulder, singing her part so well that he even smiles at her. She can see how much he is enjoying this, and she knows she is enjoying it too. They can play around on the stage, both as artists and as a couple.

Jonghyun sings after her, pulling her in with an arm around her waist, maybe too obvious what her outfit is doing to her figure. Hannah takes a hold of his leather jacket, pulling him closer. Their eyes are smiling at each other, their face-expressions are y and the audience is screaming as if it they were at a concert when Hannah sings out ‘I want you!’ and they are just very close to each other while singing the part, Hannah constantly being the one leaning a little away – not because she is embarrassed, but because her role in this song is to be hard-to-get.

Their song ends with Jonghyun ily ask the question, his face now smiling as they have pulled through the song gallantly, his arm hanging around Hannah’s shoulders as he leans down a little to get at her level, looking like the y devil he is, and Hannah lifts up her hand to his jaw just as the lights goes out. The crowd screams even louder than before because they don’t see if they kiss or not, and that’s the whole point. Meanwhile the audience is screaming, the couple rushes off the stage.

Coming off the stage, Hannah and Jonghyun are laughing. It went thousand times better than expected. Giving the staff their microphone sets, Jonghyun is loudly talking about the parts he thought the audience would make him deaf. He walks with an arm around her when heading backstage, kissing her hair with the foolish smile printed in his face. Hannah can’t stop smiling either, still having the rhythm in her body that she is almost jumping forward.

“The iest couple on earth!” Maria is screaming outside 5 Pieces’ room when spotting the couple coming to them. “You were on FIRE! SO HOT!”

Hannah can just laugh. She is happy, she is so happy it went well, her body almost shaking in excitement for what they just did and she is smiling up at Jonghyun who says something to Maria that she can’t hear because she is so filled with adrenaline from the performance. She can hear his voice clearly, just not the words he says.

Her dreaming away doesn’t last for long though.

Everyone is preparing to get back up on the stage, maybe one more performance left before everyone will go up there and the stylist pulls Hannah inside the room to check her hair, make-up and outfit. The other ladies have already started to prepare for their [I Want A Man] performance and are now wearing long fancy robes that they will wear on stage just to cover themselves; to not give away the surprise later. Hannah and Maria goes to the bathroom a little quickly, knowing they are late to go up on the stage at that time but with so many artists on the stage they have no problem to sneak up at the back where the other ladies and most SM artists are standing. Maria is fast to ask what they are talking about at the front, Hannah can’t hear because she just sees Jonghyun walking up to the front and quietly nod along to whatever the emcees are saying. He is always looking for attention. He had also gotten up on stage a little late because he was in a rush to change clothes, now dressed in SHINee’s performance outfit.

Slowly the emcees are bringing the SM artists out one by one. First EXO; the girls standing in the back waves them forward but are soon lost in their own conversations. Then it’s SHINee, and Hannah pretends to listen to Maria but only hear Jonghyun wish a good year for him (not talking about SHINee, but only himself as Jonghyun). Girls’ Day say a few words about making a comeback and the ladies in the back are reminded of their comeback as well. Then SNSD is brought forward and Hannah pouts because the whiteness in the back suddenly disappeared (SNSD is dressed in white).

“And there is no way we can forget the fierce 5 Pieces. Can 5 Pieces come here to the front?” the emcees say, looking at the back.

The ladies head to the front, standing up in front of SNSD, mixing up the members a bit while the emcees are asking questions to them. Hannah smiles at Taeyeon who she is standing next to while Maria is promoting 5 Pieces’ new single coming out. It’s not that many minutes left until their fans will be able to see their music video for [I Want A Man].

Hannah just stands there with Julia’s arm linked with hers, nodding at what the others is saying.

When CN Blue’s pre-recorded performance starts to air the girls of SNSD and 5 Pieces head to the back of the stage again. Jonghyun appear next to them, heading to the back with an arm around Hannah. She is quiet now, not showing the excitement she had done a few minutes ago when they had done their performance; he notices that she is her usual self but that doesn’t stop him from having his arm around her.

“We did well, didn’t we?” he asks the other girls around them, getting a high-five from Taeyeon.

“You looked y,” Tiffany answers with a smile, her eyes glances on Hannah’s outfit briefly.

Hannah has kept pulling up the collar of her t-shirt, but her members seem to be on a mission to keep it down; whenever she pulls it up, they nonchalantly pulls it back down to reveal her shoulder. This time though, she gets a shock to see it is Jonghyun who does it. He just smiles, not looking at her when she gives him a questioning look. His hand hugs her bare shoulder, but he stays with them for maybe a minute before his attention gets somewhere else and he is slowly leaving her side.

As the live show starts again after the performance, Hannah finds Jonghyun standing behind the emcees (screen time), only coming to the back when it is a minute left of 2013.

“One minute!” Julia excitedly tells them in the back, she had seen the sign held up.

Half a minute left, the ladies gather in a circle. Maria looks at them. “Let’s wish for a healthy and warm-hearted 2014-” she starts to say but as if time has fastened up, the others around them are suddenly counting down the seconds and the ladies automatically starts to cheer along.

“HAPPY NEW YEAR!” they cheer in chorus, the ladies hugging each other before they turn around to hug their friends that had pretty much been doing the same around them. Hannah hugs the members in SNSD (not all of them, that is too hard) but she jumps in Jonghyun’s arms as soon as she spots him, hearing him laugh and jump lightly with her hanging around his neck. Within seconds she is standing with her members again, hugging Emelia and them both whispering to each other that they wish 2014 will be a great year.

Coming backstage, it is so much talk and celebration for it now being 2014 and Maria and Carolina are both loudly calling out for everyone that their new music video is now out – that’s the first thing the girls does when reaching their room, taking out their cell phones to use Instagram and twitter to send the link to their fans. Hannah sends the link to their video along with the words ‘welcome, 2014! -link- HAPPY NEW YEAR’.

On the Music Festival, after the New Year between the first performances it is a video that shows what will come up. ‘The biggest fans, the biggest stars, the international group that brings the world’s attention to South Korea’ is written while showing clips of 5 Pieces’ success, ‘Nothing is impossible for the ladies that makes music from the world, for the world – 5 Pieces’. That put the fans in an excitement for what will come.

It’s then time for transformation. 5 Pieces’ performance will be [I Want A Man] – their comeback performance. The first comeback of 2014, the first surprise of the New Year, and the ladies are not worried about it at the moment. They are excited. Somehow, they are so overwhelmed that it’s now 2014 and they will perform the new song for the first time. Life is great, they all are excited.

5 Pieces make their transformation backstage; hair and make-up are fixed as well as their outfits. Maria is putting on a short-hair wig, matching the concept for their back-in-time concept; her full lips turn red and match her nails. She looks elegant with that, as well as the long eyelashes and perfect make-up based on a vintage look that they all are going for. That’s what their first hour of 2014 is mostly spent on doing. Emelia gets a long curly formal look on her rose gold blonde hair, not getting the red lips like Maria but looks absolutely stunning. Julia’s sandy blonde bob hairstyle has all evening been styled up classically, pinned up for volume and it is straight and flawless. Carolina’s hair gets styled in big curls, and she is throwing her hair back and forth to try catch the locks fly slowly back and forth. For Hannah, her long medium blonde hair is let out, straightened other than the long hair hanging down from the side-parted hair, that part is in an elegant wave. They keep her hair that way with tons of hairspray, like they do for all ladies. Hannah has red lips too.

When Hannah is done, there is still some time left until their performance. She walks to another room to show her style to the members of SNSD, but on the way there she is stopped by Taemin and she ends up going inside EXO’s dressing-room. For once she is actually happy for the attention, because everyone takes notice of her because of how she looks.

Spending a few minutes talking there, Hannah and Kai decides to do a video. A backstage video that Hannah can upload online for the New Year, and though it wasn’t neither one of their idea to begin with and Kai was basically the first victim she caught, Hannah pushes Kai to do it anyway when she steps up to him with her cell phone filming him, asking him to say something about the New Year. Kai has sense; he says ‘happy new year’ to everyone before he introduces himself without Hannah asking him too, and he smiles when doing it, ending up laughing awkwardly.

“So cute,” she tells him.

“Ha?” Kai looks surprised; he is often told he is handsome, but Hannah has a different opinion about his shyness. When he asks her that, Taemin glides up two meters behind him, posing with a grimace towards Kai.

“Um, it is a silly person behind you,” Hannah tells Kai, smiling when Kai turns around and Taemin steps forward to pose next to him. “I’m filming.”

“Oh.”

“Nuna is filming a New Year video,” Kai says with his whole body facing Taemin, lightly holding his arm as if he wants to be saved from all the attention she has been giving him by shoving the cell phone in his face. Hannah smiles again, and she is fast to talk before Taemin can come with a reaction;

“It’s New Year; can’t you two say something good about the other?”

“About Kai?” Taemin asks and looks at his right where Kai is suddenly smiling. “Shouldn’t the youngest go first?”

Kai laughs but ends up doing it anyway; “Hyung, the best thing about you is your best friend.”

“Woah!” Hannah laughs, trying to hold the cell phone still while filming them, Taemin commenting that Kai is praising himself instead; the friend Kai means is of course Kai himself. Hannah just laughs at them both, not sure if she should let Taemin say something good about Kai – this is simply how their friendship is like.

“Jongin-ah, your skin has gotten darker.”

Hannah holds in her laughter, just making a sound before she slaps a hand over .

“Nuna likes my skin,” Kai then points at Hannah, and she laughs again. She has probably said that before, and Taemin laughs so loudly at the comment that Suho walks up between them. Chanyeol is there too, and they all give a New Year greeting to Hannah’s cell phone. Only Taemin and Kai stay next to her to see the result, wanting her to send the video to them.

“I don’t know how to do that,” Hannah answers.

“I’ll show you,” Kai takes the cell phone, starting to look through it. She can’t keep up with what he does, so instead she looks around the room. Julia is by the door, showing off her look at them and comparing the hairstyle with Xiumin. “Done.”

“That fast?” Hannah turns back with a surprise, getting the phone back in her hand and Kai is smirking at her.

“It’s not that difficult,” he answers.

 

5 Pieces’ performance starts with the pre-recording in another hall than the main one. The stage is round and big, fans sitting at the front and 5 Pieces are wearing silver clothes for their ’08-’13 hit remix. With the crowd singing along, 5 Pieces performs certain parts in the songs, starting from their debut song [Moon Child] in 2008, continuing with their first album [Once Upon A Time] in 2009, the audience gets louder for 2010’s hit song [Original], the girls get cute face-expressions when performing [I Love You] from 2011, followed by the kick- 2012 song [Black & White] and dazzling finish with [Daze]. It’s a quick remix but it shows enough of 5 Pieces through the year.

When it ends, fans watching it live at home are probably confused with why all of the songs were short, wondering if that is all there is of 5 Pieces. But as the pre-recorded part ends, the beginning of the music video for [I Want A Man] is showed of 5 Pieces’ fancy shoes walking out from the limousine, and with the five pair of feet paused on screen, the text 2014 COMEBACK is showed before the main stage is revealed.

Dancers starts to move over the main stage while the band begins to play some intro, trombone and other gives the back-in-time vibe as well as the clothes on them all. The stage have been prepared with a stair at the back, tiny lamps shining it up and the whole stage seems to have been filled with yellow and white lamps. Screens are showing dancers in the background, dancing jazz to the music. The drums make a great sound, the dancers are moving crazily softly to the beat and the audience is just quietly curious for what is about to happen. The music gets a little more intense, then it sounds like someone is dragging the instruments to a stop and all the attention is put on the top of the stairs, and the beginning of [I Want A Man] plays from the band a little slower than how it usually will go, and the dancers drag their feet along to get on the sides while lights turns on and off to the sound before 5 Pieces swiftly appear on a lift behind the top of the stair, the screen behind them in soft red shines out their name and the spotlights all focuses on that part when Hannah brings the microphone to her lips for the opening adlib of [I Want A Man].

5 Pieces, standing with Maria in the middle with her back facing the audience, Carolina and Hannah on each side of her both facing the audience and the other two are also standing with their fancy backs towards the audience, are all wearing the same elegant a-line mini sleeveless dress that shapes around their s and has such a light fabric that each movement will make the skirt fly around. To their bare legs they are lifted up in white pumps, their blonde hairs and white outfit shines brightly in the spotlight. And Hannah’s strong take-off is what makes the crowd scream in delight, but she holds the microphone further and further away for Carolina to take over, her voice not as strong even in the lip-synched version.

No one had even noticed the music had stopped for their adlib, the crowd just shouting at the end of the adlib and even standing up, waving balloons and jumping as no one said this was going to happen. The music plays, the classical yet fresh sound of [I Want A Man] just makes your body move and the ladies all faces the front, the leader steps forward to walk down a few steps as the music plays, the other ladies following in a close v-shape and the whole hall (even idols watching in the back) cheers as Maria’s light tone begins singing to the music, the ladies all following in the body movements.

I saw your gaze flustering for more*

Maria is flawless in her presence, even grabbing her skirt to throw it around when pointing out her foot at the end of her first line, all of them stopping to walk down the stairs to instead look at the side as the instruments give them a sound and then the song continues with Maria walking down another step and sings. The end of the second line is pretty much the same with the music, but the ladies look all charming when turning to the side, taking a step down the stairs together in their v-shape and as Maria sings ‘my eyes found yours’ they all smile at the front with a finger pointing towards their eyes – only Maria gives a flirty wink to the camera and for her third line the girls all together put their feet together and lightly shake while their hands goes up from the core in their stomach, elegantly up between their s and around before going down their hip – it is a fast part, and Maria is smiling brightly at how their dresses are lightly following along. They can never be more feminine than at this moment, all charming and light in their outfits and style.

Hannah focuses to walk over behind Carolina, she and Julia changing position as Julia and Carolina steps a little forward to sing their part. All of them turn to the right side again, their left hand on their hip as they lightly shake their hips at the fast part coming up;

Carolina’s solo part isn’t fast, the rhythm is good and changing for the lyrics to fit both fast and melodic, and her part was melodic as they all step down another step. Hannah and Emelia walk forward after that, the ladies pretty much standing together on two stair-steps, moving hips from right to left along with the rhythm that the two girls sing.

In the distant, it is a voice singing ‘yeah, yeah, yeah’ while the music is preparing for the chorus, and 5 Pieces are moving their shoulders and smiling and the audience is cheering that when the chorus comes, the ladies steps forward on the stage for the first half of the line, then for the second half they stop in a formation and rounds their hips like the clock while holding on to the end of their dresses, moving it along. The audience is jumping, still trying to melt this transformation while 5 Pieces is charming their hearts, minds and souls with light movements, strong voices and feminine smiles.

They walk out the last part after the chorus when Maria sings her next verse, a hand held up when the ladies next to her shake their shoulders in pairs towards each other.

[Maria] *You changed my life completely, (ye-ye-ye)

But try to stay away from the line (oh-oh-oh)

[Carolina] The only man for me I found, and that is you*

[Hannah] *You put a hand on my shoulder, ooh

That feeling goes through my whole body

Tingle, tingle – oh I feel it!*

Carolina had just walked forward from her place, then took a step back to join the group as Hannah’s fast two lines have them all shake their bodies when moving from one position to the other (the ladies just moving past each other for the new formation and the camera filming Hannah brightly singing her part while walking to the centre). It is a break for the lyrics where the music butts in for a second, just for Hannah to take her third line, jumping lightly two times as her voice goes higher. Male dancers get up during her part there, starting to dance in black fedora hats, black vests and pants with white tank tops as the next verse continues;

The dancing is great, the girls are not nervous at all, in fact, they are loving this as much as they always enjoy being on the stage. Maybe they are a little more excited for this very first performance, their new concept breaking out and the crowd seems to love it. The girls are moving their dresses, singing and taking in the performance as if they are still having fun in the practice-room.

When the chorus ends, the live instruments are playing while a voice says in the background *(Show them all now, ha)* right as 5 Pieces take a step back in a formation, and as the next part goes, the ladies are dancing for the break, moving their legs and arms to the music while Emelia focuses more to do her part in the middle;

I- I, I want no other

[Carolina] I want no other man but you, woaowa*

[Julia] *You step up, stand by my side

Talk so nice, boy you got class

Give me strength, now you’re the best

[Maria] You’re the only one I ever gave a second glance~~!*

Definitely, they can’t get more feminine than this. The crowd cheers even darker at the dance, and Carolina steps forward when the dance break ends for her to lip-synch her part, doing it great. Julia’s voice is low when she sings her part, male dancers stepping up next to them. Julia puts her hand on the man’s shoulder, walking a little towards the side with him while singing her part, and she just rounds up behind the girls when her part ends as Maria’s strong voice hits up for her line, her voice goes higher and higher by each word until she sings out with all her might. In the music video, glass breaks at this part for the fun of it.

And the crowd holds their breath as her voice doesn’t fade or waver, just to scream even more when she pulls in some more in her voice and fireworks cracks up all around the stage and on the stairs behind them. 5 Pieces just swirls around as the instruments goes crazy for the chorus anew, Hannah standing in the middle of a circle made of the ladies and dancers are staying in the background dancing with them.

You’re the kind of guy (ouooh!), I find (I find a perfect match!), a perfect match

[Hannah] *And I’ll keep telling you, I want no other man than you oh~~*

Hannah doesn’t dance that much, she is too busy doing an adlib here and there, smiling to the left at Julia when their shoulders meet as practiced and she throws a hand up in the air for the effect of one adlib while the others sing the chorus. She has practiced so much for this, feeling awkward of how to move and what to do, but finds it coming out well now when it is time for it. The ladies move in closer at the end of the chorus, and Hannah begins her own part where her voice goes louder like Maria’s had done. Only that Maria’s light voice is different from Hannah’s strong one, two perfectly great voices fits the song in two completely different ways and Hannah takes on a lady-like position when bending her body a little to the side to sing out her adlib strongly, the microphone moving back and forth for it to sound better. The others start to perform the chorus a final time, the ending now, and Hannah keeps jumping when doing more strong adlibs;

The song has ended but the band keeps playing wilder, powering up the tempo and the girls are all jumping lightly on their positions before together doing the final singing *I want no other one but you* and the song comes to an stop with them in their ending poses, Maria in the middle with her head up and hand in the air, two members standing next to her with hands on their hips and the final two squatting down in front of them with one knee almost touching the stage in front of them.

A little out of breath and filled with excitement and astonishment, 5 Pieces stand next to each other and give a bright bow to the standing ovation in front of them before they rush off the stage while the emcees begins to give out impressive sounds – the cameras have turned their attention there.

Coming backstage, the girls are screaming from the feelings flooding inside them. They laugh and hug each other, Carolina almost crying!

Hannah hugs her right away, them both starting to jump and scream at each other, just blankly screaming in the rush and they all starts laughing and apologizing to people for being loud. Their first stage! They hurry their steps to reach their room, not even coming halfway when they stop and greet Lee Hyori who had been standing outside a room. Lee Hyori is clapping her hands when seeing them, only smiling wider when the ladies bow at her.

“I’m jealous of you; that looked really fun. You did very great,” Lee Hyori praises them.

“Thank you, thank you so much,” Maria starts bowing and Hannah follows her right away.

Lee Hyori claps them on the shoulder when walking on, the ladies smiling at each other but finally quiet. Their faces say enough now; Lee Hyori praised them! 5 Pieces shouldn’t celebrate too fast though, because everyone they pass by backstage praises them, give them impressed looks and applauses, surprising the ladies that eventually reaches their room with mouths open.

“Happy New Year!” their crew cheers inside the room, Manager Lim showing the table where a white New Year cake as well as comeback cake is waiting.

“Iiiiiiiih!” the girls are squealing when jumping around hugging everyone, happy over the New Year and their first performance.

5 Pieces is going to restore a good reputation in 2014; they have a lot of things they want to say and do; a lot of messages to be heard. They want to make a difference this year, to show that being ladies is not all about a flawless reputation. Could their New Year be the beginning of a new image for 5 Pieces? They don’t want to wait and see, but before changing image completely, they have an after party to attend.

 

Wearing the y black one-shoulder mesh panel bodycon dress from KBS Music Festival, Hannah is at the after party with the other artists and members. She actually got to keep this dress just because it fit her body so well. Everyone is drinking and chatting, a lot also dancing but most are just standing or sitting on the sides to talk and celebrate the New Year. Hannah has gotten so much energy from [I Want A Man] that she can’t be still. One minute she is dancing with Maria and screaming along to the music without even knowing what they are listening to while in the next minute she is standing on the side, trying to figure out what kind of drink SNSD’s Sunny is drinking.

[I Want A Man] has gotten thousand of views within a couple of hours. The comments are whelming over and 5 Pieces’ blog has crashed. The ladies’ SNS channels are overloaded with responses, and there is not a single bad comment that can live up to the thousand of great ones. 5 Pieces is at the top at the party; they are loud, they are in the centre of attention because of their comeback because everyone is so curious about it and fascinated by how amazing their performance had been earlier; they had performed the song for the first time, no living soul in the audience had heard the full song before as only teasers had come out, but they were in on the whole song from beginning to end with admiration and love and support. The ladies expected to surprise their fans with the transformation going from baggy jeans with a visible underwear-line and ripped tops to a classic back-in-time feminine concept, but never did they expect to crash the internet with the overwhelmed fans. And it is a great reaction. The most positive and heart-warming reaction anything on this planet could ever receive.

“Jonghyun!” Hannah jumps up next to her boyfriend with a big smile, wrapping his arm around her so she can rest her cheek on his shoulder. Jonghyun laughs. He has been standing by the bar for a few minutes, talking to Block B’s Zico, once in a while glancing over his shoulder to see Hannah and Maria jumping around with their hairs throwing in to matching tempo to the music at all. To have Hannah come over to him like this makes him lovingly put his other arm around her too, pulling her closer so he can kiss her on the head.

Hannah smiles up at him.

“Come dance with me,” she suggests, taking his hand when taking a step on the side.

“Can anyone even dance near Maria?” Zico is joking and they all turn to look at Maria who is waving her arms even more than her hair is flying, probably have three meters of the dance-floor to her self.

The youngest blonde lady turns to smile at him, glancing at Jonghyun too when biting her lip, lightly pulling his sleeve. “Let’s go find out.”

There is no hesitation when Jonghyun follows her, knowing it is rare she is this thrilled at a party and for them both to enjoy it together is even rarer. He follows her inside the crowd moving to the club music, Zico following behind them and already moving to the music in his swagger style. Jonghyun has only eyes for Hannah, not seeing who are around them other than Maria when they reach her. Hannah starts to jump and move right away, not even close to Maria’s craziness but a lot more freer than how she tend to be. Jonghyun moves too, just randomly moving to the music with them. Zico dances just as weirdly as Maria, so how he could have commented on her dancing is really a question, but Hannah doesn’t really think about that as the music changing to another club song and Jonghyun puts his hands on her waist and turns her around to face him. She laughs right away, her hands placed on his shoulders and he is heard laughing as she keeps moving in his arms.

Hannah hasn’t been drinking much at all; she is too high on emotions for that. Jonghyun has been drinking some, but she hasn’t kept an eye on how much; not much apparently, according to his behaviour, just a little. Jonghyun is wearing a black dress shirt in a relaxed mood, the shirt hugging around his abs and the dark jeans fits him perfectly too. She keeps her arms around him, smiling and laughing when dancing together.

The only time she turns around to dance with Maria and Sooyoung is when 5 Pieces’ [Daze] is played by the idol DJ, a club remix of course but the ladies still go wild to their own song being played – a lot of idols songs are played, just for the fun of it that they all are there. And when [Daze] is played, even more people join at the dance floor to move along. What Hannah finds hilarious in her relationship with Jonghyun is that dancing y is not the basic move on the dance-floor; they move uncontrollably that the hand he has on her back can’t be put all the time. For some reason, it is the most comfortable way to dance – to not be bothered by what your boyfriend or girlfriend will think by your crazy moves.

Soon enough, the familiar hand is put around her waist again and Hannah starts to move her hips back and forth with her hands up in the air. Jonghyun puts his head next to hers, and Hannah leans her head back against his shoulder with a smile. She has been dancing and going a little crazy with Maria, but the whole time she has kept an eye on him, that whenever he wasn’t touching her she would glance around just to see if he was still there. Now when the two of them dances together again, Maria and Sooyoung are the ones disappearing; Maria shouts out above the music that they are going to take some fresh air. No wonder, they have been dancing until they are sweaty.

Hannah is sweating too, but not the same way because she has just been a little everywhere at the party while Maria has basically just been dancing.

She can’t stop smiling. Jonghyun can’t be still, making her laugh with his movements and he suddenly stretches out an arm in front of her to dance some weird move, and each thing he does he makes her follow too.

2013 actually ended in a great way, letting 2014 begin even better. Hannah can’t think of what the morning will bring, all she focuses on is now; to have fun at the part with her sisters, boyfriend and friends. They are all laughing and having a great time with no concerns at all for what will happen as the first day of the New Year actually kicks off. Either way what happens, Hannah is sure 5 Pieces will have knocked over several chairs with their unexpected comeback concept. She can’t wait to start the New Year with happiness.
