“5 Pieces is up next!”

The call by the door gets the room loud, the ladies calling out for each other and having a last few seconds to get ready before gathering in a circle.

“Last music program performance, ladies!” Maria cheers loudly, filled with excitement. “We look pretty and we are ready! I’m getting super awesome with the rimes too, so be prepared for a week travelling in Europe with me and my rimes.”

“Please don’t,” Julia pipes and Hannah gives out a laugh, causing Maria to laugh too. They are all in a great mood this Friday evening, to finish of the promotions of [I Want a Man].

“Screw rimes then, I’m still super awesome without them. But let’s do well, ladies!” Maria cheers, “Who are we?”

“5 Pieces!”

“You’re not loud enough! Who are we?!”

“5 PIECES!” they scream, and then they all start laughing at Hannah suddenly coughing, hurrying off to the stage.

With Julia healthier by now, Hannah seem to be the next victim of the cold. is just dry, which is horrible for a singer. She keeps drinking water when heading to the stage, getting the microphone in one hand and holding a bottle of water in the other. While waiting for the performance before theirs to end they stand next to the stage, visible for the fans sitting in the audience and eyes focused on the stage. Hannah keeps drinking the water, a little at a time, and she has Manager Lim standing next to her with a hand held out to take the bottle as soon as she has to run up on the stage. Carolina keeps warming up her voice in a low volume to not be heard, looking serious while Emelia is the only one smiling towards the audience, not waving to them but just trying to see if any fans of 5 Pieces are seen.

It is their last performance on Music Bank, and the ladies are really excited to show off some final energy. As the song is coming to an end on stage, the ladies get ready so at the staff’s command they rushes up on the stage while the TV is airing clips of 5 Pieces’ performances on Music Bank so far, revealing this as the GOODBYE STAGE. Meanwhile, 5 Pieces take their positions and not doing it with a live band this time it is just the ladies and dancers taking their positions on the stage that has the spotlights changing colours and the ladies are smiling as the audience is suddenly a little bit louder than earlier – certain voices stands out more than others – Puzzle never lets them down.

[I Want a Man] begins to play as the live show begins and 5 Pieces shifts into their roles, smiling. They look perfect in their blonde shades and matching in white chiffon strapless a-line short cocktail dresses with black sash around their waists prettily tied in a bow with matching black pumps. With the knowledge that her voice will not pull through the whole song as elegant as her members voices will, Hannah will focus on the important parts, starting with the high adlib opening. She and Carolina had practiced it earlier and she has no problem at all to start off the song with her voice, hearing the fans cheering at their start before the ladies starts moving their body charmingly to the rhythm. Maria’s voice is loud and clear like always, starting to sing and taking the seconds in between the lines with the soft movements for the dance, hearing the fans cheer at each thing the ladies do together.

The audience is doing a loud fan-chant, heard the most during the chorus when their voices are like magical chants after certain parts, chanting 5 PIECES, 5 PIECES and at the end with 5 Pieces they sings “I want no other one but you!” in such a synch that as soon as the camera zooms in a close-up Maria, Emelia gives a thumbs up to the audience with a wink. It’s hilarious, so light to perform while Hannah during the chorus doesn’t sing it all because of her voice; she still has a lot of fun with her members and dancers and the fans.

With the strange male voice saying the last part, the dance begins and the audience just cheers happily before starting to chant loudly, and the great part is for the TV they show close-ups on the lady they chant the name for, the whole crew showing impressive teamwork for this delightful goodbye performance.

The highlight adlib of Maria’s powerful and light adlib that goes on strongly, the music program fills it out with spotlights turned up in the background to make their outfits shine like the sun and the audience screams loudly and confetti falls down from the ceiling so when the last two choruses begins with Hannah’s fun adlibs, the ladies are having a blast and it looks so fun on TV to see the great ending. Hannah has taken it softly on her voice during the performance, only now preparing for her own strong adlib.

With smiles, 5 pieces finishes their performance and they are fast to hold hands and lift them up in the air to give a bow before the cameras turns over to something else. On the outside, Hannah is smiling and being happy for the group’s change in 2014 and their great start of the New Year. But on the inside, she knows she was dreadful with a worn out voice at the end; it didn’t break, but you could hear how strained it was and how she had to take in from her toes to keep a steady tone during the adlibs.

Rain’s performance was pre-recorded, so while his performance airs all the artists walk up on the stage. 5 Pieces bow lightly to the juniors bowing deeply to them. Hannah hurries to the side, waving for Manager Lim to come as she really need some water and she takes several sips to not ruin her lipstick before handing it back and with tiny, fast steps hurrying back to her members while everyone is trying to find their positions.

Carolina has walked up to the very front of the stage, where she receives a purple glow stick with ‘5P’ written coolly at the top of it (purple is 5 Pieces’ fan club colour). Happily she is waving it in her hand while waiting for them to begin the ending, and with the stage being crowded with artists, Hannah is standing like frozen now when she has found her position. 5 Pieces is at the front having their song running for first place against B1A4 (the junior group stands next to them dressed in black), and though the ladies seniors (DBSK & Rain) aren’t present the ladies are feeling very respectful just imagining going up against their seniors these past weeks for the promotions. It has been great. Hannah doesn’t want to end the promotions of [I Want a Man] – they have barely even promoted it, and she really likes the song and the fans reactions to it, though she is a little awkward with the strapless dress. At least she has her hair covering her shoulders.

Rain’s [LA Song] ends, Julia even gets caught when the live cameras are shifted to them as she was lip-synching to the chorus of that song in her head (she was completely lost in the pre-recorded performance of their senior). Hannah smiles at it, calmly holding the microphone behind her back and looking out in front of them at the audience being adorable to the artists. The loudness that was during Rain’s pre-recording has lowered for the live show’s ending.

The two hosts started talking right away to let the show count who is this week’s winner. Maria had somehow gotten a glow stick from their fans too, struggling to not have Carolina take it from her as the mascot seem to have an idea of how to use two glow sticks (Maria doesn’t let her take it) and she pushes Carolina’s hand away to focus on the screens below counting out who the winner is. Seeing the two cameras focusing on the two groups 5 Pieces and B1A4, Hannah comes to think of what the ladies talked about earlier; they haven’t won on Music Bank with this song, and today is the last day. It’s not something they expect after four weeks either, and it is completely understanding since the winners these past weeks has been DBSK and Rain – so it is absolutely understandable. Hannah is just happy they are still running for first place; meaning they are second place even after four weeks since release.

“This week’s winner is … 5 Pieces, congratulations!” the male host says as the numbers are done counting and 5 Pieces’ screen lightens up.

Hannah’s smile is enormous when she starts clapping her hands and she laughs when Julia next to her gives a surprised flinch as confetti flies up in the air from cannons with a loud swish. Julia turns to Hannah with a laugh too but they both turn to B1A4’s member who gives them a bouquet and congratulates them for the win.

“Hannah,” Maria says from the other side of the members’ line, holding the price while motioning for Hannah to say the speech.

“Um…” Hannah says when bringing the microphone to her lips, staring her members as she has never really been the one doing the speech; she has said a word at the end, but never started. The words just comes out of her, knowing what the ladies usually says and she is so happy hearing the cheer from the audience in front of them; “It has been so much fun performing [I Want a Man] for the past weeks with the great support and love from our fans, we are grateful for everything thanks to Puzzle. We have our hardworking managers and stylists to thank a lot for, as well as our amazing dancers and the band we have worked with. Thanks to all the colleagues who have given us advice and support through these promotions too and … a thank to all the staff and to our choreographers, and also to the ladies of 5 Pieces, thank you!”

She cheers the last words towards her right where her members are standing and Carolina is waving her glow stick brightly in the air. Maria is fast to continue the speech;

“Though this is our last week promoting the song, please look forward to a more hardworking 5 Pieces in the future. We would like to thank all our fans once again for being with us all this time and for welcoming our surprises with open arms and thank you so much for this award. 5 Pieces loves Puzzle, thank you!”

“Thank you!” Emelia adds with a wave in the air and the ladies give a bow while the hosts take the word to say the goodbye.

Hannah jumps behind the hosts, waving and doing a heart for the camera, really happy that they are able to end their promotions this amazingly. As soon as the hosts are done and turns around to politely bow and congratulate 5 Pieces, she puts a hand to her chest to hide her chest when bowing back, noticing that all the idols heading off the stage are bowing to the ladies who are bowing back. Emelia is the first one to turn to the fans for the encore when the music begins to play, loudly thanking everyone and to hear the music, Hannah brings the microphone to her lips to do the great opening – laughing when Maria and Julia suddenly are next to her, putting their microphones to . She still pulls off the adlib, the audience cheering and when she is done, she laughs and pushes her own microphone to Maria who starts to sing.

“Thank you!” Carolina cheers, randomly dancing in a funny way not fitting for her pretty dress, but the audience seems to love it.

“We love you,” Julia calmly says in the microphone.

Laughing and singing the song together (not caring whose part it is) the ladies gathers around for a group-hug, singing and laughing and cheering while jumping and hugging. Hannah’s cheeks hurt so much from smiling so big. For the chorus, they turn to the audience, dancing correctly while together they all sing loudly with the audience. And where the fans usually chant 5 PIECES during the chorus, the ladies together chant PUZZLE instead since the fans are too busy singing along, which gets a loud reaction from the fans.

Seeing Carolina making a cute face-expression during her short part after the chorus, Hannah sings her part while putting an arm tightly around Julia’s waist so Julia burst out laughing when twirling around Hannah. The audience screams even louder while the girls are just laughing and having fun to their encore.

When the song eventually comes to an end (they just fool around during the adlibs, so Hannah’s voice does get some rest there other than the endless laughing) the ladies hold hands and bows once again before heading off the stage. The whole day they have been doing final interviews and whatnot to finish off the promotions of this single, and now they are going to prepare for the event they are holding.

“Well done, ladies!” Manager Lim is applauding when they come backstage, but he is within a second waving his hands for them to line up for a group of pictures. While the ladies gather up for a picture in their new positions where Hannah is in the middle, he keeps talking, thinking they can pose for pictures while listening to him; “There is a small meal prepared for you before we have to get you changed into the next outfit, fix your hair and make-up. There is a quick rehearsal for the event before- Don’t try to eat the award, Carolina.”

“She’s hungry,” Hannah jokes with a laugh before focusing on giving a pose for the camera like her friends as Maria calls out for them to give a v-sign together. With the biggest smile she can make, overdoing it so her eyes closes from smiling, Hannah makes a v-sign with her left hand and leans a little towards Carolina who is fast to wrap an arm around Hannah and smile too with the award in one hand and the hand on Hannah’s back has the v-sign above her shoulder.

These past four weeks have passed by so quickly that it is a wonder they aren’t more upset with the promotions ending already. Four weeks of promotions are short, but it is after all just a pre-single, and the ladies know that what will come is so much bigger – so much scarier and terrifying for them – that a week away in Europe followed by Japanese promotions isn’t really anything they think is a bad thing. Besides, [I Want a Man] is so loved and cheered for during their performances that the ladies can’t really regret not having longer promotions. They have had a blast these weeks with performances, concerts, appearances, interviews, colds and whatnot – everything has been good because it has opened up their 2014, their new concept and the New Year. Hannah is so happy even if is hurting – all of them are so happy that when preparing for their final event that they are all fooling around and taking their time with no worries at all though their manager is stressed.

For the final event, 5 Pieces get dressed in the matching pleated suspender skirt in black, and a long-sleeve t-shirt in purple (purple for Puzzle) to matching pumps. Hannah’s hair is put up in a side-braid and with the long-sleeve t-shirt she feel dressed and warm; the skirt is down to her knees and she is wearing skin-coloured tights as well, she loves it after wearing dresses without sleeves or with straps. She will definitely miss feeling pretty ending this concept. After changing clothes, the ladies are busy taking pictures again; using their own phones or having good pictures taken for the company to announce 5 Pieces’ final event with [I Want a Man]. SM Entertainment will upload a few pictures from the event, letting fans know 5 Pieces are having fun and also to thank for all the support they have gotten with this single.

There will be two types of filming for the final event; one filming where 5 Pieces will perform for the fans with a live band like they spent the night practicing and another filming where the ladies comfortably sits down with a host to be interviewed, and that is also the fist filming; the ladies sit down in a long sofa together, the background is dark and the host is sitting in an arm-chair matching the ladies classy look by wearing a costume.

As soon as they start, Maria comments that his arm-chair looks so comfortable that the whole filming starts off with Maria and the host shifts position just for her to try it. When they go back to their seats, the host starts off saying ‘5 Pieces, welcome to the show’ and begins the talk about [I Want a Man]. Hannah, who is sitting in the middle because that is her new position for 2014, is covering from laughing as she is still having fun over Maria’s casual way to open up the filming, but she makes sure to not interrupt Maria answering the question about their concept for this comeback.

“Your time of promotion this time has been very short, but you have said earlier that you think it has been very memorable promoting [I Want a Man]. What are your thoughts of these past weeks?” the host continues to ask and his eyes moves from Maria to the other ladies when the leader looks at the others too.

“It has been fun,” Carolina starts to say. “We all shared the worry of how the reaction would be when the song first came out but as soon as we had done the first performance we were just excited to make the comeback, and I think all of us are a little sad the promotions are so short but we are really filled with joy for the promotions we have done. The weeks have been really fun.”

“For me,” Julia starts to say; all of them seem like they want to say something. “For me, I had solo promotions last year. It was so much fun to work without the members, but at the same time it was lonely and I wanted to share everything with them, so as soon as the New Year came, I was so ready to take on the stage with the members with a new song and new concept and just face our fans and have fun. Luckily … the start of 2014 was a great time spent with our fans.”

“What does Emelia say?” the host wonders as Emelia was nodding while looking like she was thinking of something to say.

“These weeks have been very different,” Emelia starts off calmly, “Like Julia said we have spent the promotions trying to have as much fun with our fans as possible. As for the concept that we for the first time have tried on I would want to say we have really had a lost of fun with it, wearing dresses and all that and I think our fans have had just as much … fun, with this concept as we have. So these weeks have been really great for us.”

“Was 5 Pieces voices always like this? Six years ago, you personally said you could not sing but you love the stage. Now, you all sing beautifully in [I Want a Man]! Did you practice differently for this song?” the host wonders.

“Honestly, vocally we didn’t practice that much compared to usually. We worked a lot with a live band for … this comeback, and that means we practiced a lot live when preparing and I think through the years we have just grown so much by doing a lot of things. It wasn’t really that our voices have gotten better since our last comeback it is more that this kind of style shows off our voices more vocally than our previous songs. But thanks for the compliment,” Maria professionally answers.

“Now let’s talk about your worldwide fame: 5 Pieces broke out to explore the whole world with the song [Daze], even going on a world tour. What was your ultimate thought about [Daze]’s popularity?”

They were asked the questions beforehand to go through so they do know what to answer, but the ladies always come off natural during interviews and seem very relaxed sitting in the sofa. This one, the rapper gets to answer, as calm and smiling as she can be;

“Most of the time we were completely unaware of the popularity. Our families even told us that the clubs and radios in Sweden were playing our songs and even if we were told that, we couldn’t really freak out enough to let all of those feelings loose so throughout the year we kind of slowly realized that wherever we went, [Daze] was number one. It was fascinating for us to travel in America and Europe and actually be recognized because everyone had seen the video, and … well; the ultimate thought for us would probably be that we appreciate the popularity of a song that has such an important meaning and was the first song we worked on with Melissa Allen. It was really amazing.”

“How was it being on tour – your first world tour just ended last week and you have been kind of travelling back and forth having solo promotions in Korea while doing this tour – how did it feel finishing up the tour and how was the whole experience for this round?”

“For this round, our BLACK & WHITE tour really let us see a new view of our fans,” Maria is fast to say before looking at the ladies, letting Hannah know to continue.

Hannah is nodding when she starts off saying; “For the first time we actually got to bring our concert to Canada and America, which was definitely a breaking point for us to finish the tour as our fans over there had looked forward to it and we were just really amazed by how popular K-Pop and 5 Pieces have gotten. The whole experience for the tour, I think, was amazing. Because we got really close to the staff we worked with, we had so much fun with the dancers and staff preparing for the tour and doing the tour and we let it show on the stage, which we kind of noticed when talking to our fans and getting a little closer to our fans around the world.” She breathes in with a glance at Emelia who in a low voice before Emelia continues to say;

“Going on a tour means a lot for us in many different ways and because we were working a lot apart when we weren’t doing the concert, we were very focused on how our fans would react and their opinions on every little detail. We really enjoy talking to our fans as they are the reason we are able to do what we do, so I think we took a lot of critic for the tour as we are now preparing our sixth year as 5 Pieces so … yeah, we definitely have had a great experience learning a lot with the tour and growing too which we kind of show with this comeback and what we will keep showing.”

The host is smiling while the ladies talk, looking fascinating and nodding at the right moments. When they are done talking about the tour, he asks the next question with a humour smile; “What is 5 Pieces’ secret in maintaining such a strong friendship?”

At that question, Hannah smiles with a glance to her left where Carolina is sitting, because as soon as the question came the ladies smiled and Carolina had put a hand on Hannah’s leg. Carolina has been told to not do that many times through the years, but she never learns; she just love to have her hand on someone, and by now sitting between Maria and Hannah she does not want to challenge the leader by putting a hand on the Captain’s skinny leg. She has done well for this interview, only now at the end putting a hand on Hannah’s leg as she was waiting for the right moment. The hilarious thing is that the ladies all look at Maria, beside from Carolina who is just smiling at the host and hoping Hannah won’t take away her hand.

It is the leader who answers, leaning a little forward to look at the girls (an interview habit of hers). “Talking, I guess,” she answers while checking the ladies response to know if she is on the right track. She then nods and looks back at the host when saying; “Yeah, we all get a little cranky if we don’t talk so much with each other. I mean, just recently we were working so much – spending every hour together – but we never took the chance to just sit down and lighten our hearts, it was just work, work, work, so after taking an hour here and there to just sit down and talk… A lot changed. That’s important for us and our friendship.”

“And to my final question; 5 Pieces made this flawlessly strong comeback as soon as the clock ticked to 2014. What are your plans for the rest of the year?”

The last question; what will 5 Pieces do after all this. After four weeks promoting the single, a very short time of promotions there are so many rumours and expectations going online. Even the ladies have been talking and talking about this, what to mention and what not to mention, and in the end decided to let Carolina answer;

“Since we started off 2014 with the pre-single [I Want a Man], we are preparing for our fourth full-length album to be released later this year to follow it up and we are also going to release a single in Japan next month; we have a lot of activities prepared for our fans to look forward to this year, so please hold on a little for 5 Pieces’ future activities.”

 

For the performances, they perform four songs – [I Want a Man], [I’m Over You], [Daze] and [Dream Prince] – to their fans chanting along and after changing clothes they do a special performance of [Face Me]. All of it takes time but between the stages, the ladies talk to the fans present. All of the fans have purple balloons, and they are talkative with the members between the takes too, wanting to know a lot of things and asking if they aren’t tired and the ladies keep asking the same things back and being curious what fans do when they aren’t following the ladies’ schedules. They take pictures too. The fans there go completely crazy when getting the chance to take pictures with the ladies – there is about 200 fans there – and they make it a special event to quickly give some fan-service for this final event. When knows when they will meet next time?

Hannah does promise to keep fans updated on how their schedules will be in Korea, for the fans to not miss them too much.

While 5 Pieces wraps up their schedule Jonghyun’s older sister Sodam shows up. She is backstage, just sitting and smiling when she isn’t sitting with her cell phone and probably answering texts mostly from Jonghyun asking how it goes. He really keeps an eye on them both.

As soon as 5 Pieces are done, Hannah and Julia go with Sodam to a restaurant to just chat and hang out. It’s already over midnight, but Sodam seems awake and she just can’t give enough compliments to 5 Pieces. She expresses how amazed she had been when the single first came out (which she has already done when she called Hannah a few weeks ago) and she also says that Jonghyun’s mother is impressed with how great Hannah’s body is. Which upsets Hannah a little; Jonghyun’s mother doesn’t like that Hannah is a foreigner, she isn’t very open about it but definitely there is something about Hannah that the warm mother makes her feel stared at, and for all these years it has been a talk about Hannah’s weight with comments like “she is twice your size, Jonghyun, and always will” to “see how she looses weight for her image? It’s not a confident woman” and so on. According to Jonghyun, his mother was just not ready for him to be so in love in anyone. Hannah don’t bother all that much (maybe a little more than she would ever admit), but Sodam is lovely and she doesn’t mean anything bad with her compliment on Hannah’s weight loss.

It’s a good hour. Sodam laughs when seeing that a minute after Hannah receives a text, she receives one too; Jonghyun must be bored not knowing what they are talking about. He has nothing to worry about because they are just chatting about other things today, and Hannah receives an invitation for a party while they are there too so after leaving Sodam, the two members of 5 Pieces head to the party.

Actor, idol, singer and Hannah’s on-screen husband in the 2013 favourite drama Mr & Miss, Kim Jaejoong had texted Hannah to ask why she wasn’t at the party. A few of them who worked on the drama had gone on a party together, like an unofficial party. Hannah is wearing a dark v-neck t-shirt and simple jeans, following Julia’s simple and stylish style for there outing. With Julia driving, it is really just drive around like Julia wants and it was actually Julia wanting to go to the party to just show off themselves a little. Hannah don’t mind as she likes the people, so when arriving at the party she is loudly going around to see who she recognizes and knows and she is so warm by hugging and greeting everyone even if she is the only one who has not been drinking – yet.

“And the world star arrives!” Kim Jaejoong shouts out above the music with open arms when Hannah looks inside a smaller room where it is basically a four-wall sofa with a table in the middle and a table at the fourth wall with some drinks. The sofa has a few familiar faces and Jaejoong is the one standing up, leaning over his own manager to warmly embrace Hannah in a hug.

“Hello,” Hannah smiles brightly and walks up to give him a hug. “It smells alcohol in here!”

The music is loud no matter where you are and everyone have been drinking for the past two-three hours, which is absolutely not the best time to arrive because half of the staff Hannah recognize have left and there are some sleeping while new members have arrived that Hannah definitely does not know. In the space Jaejoong is in it definitely only smells alcohol, and Jaejoong laughs while another person offers Hannah a drink and Jaejoong greets Julia who comes in after the blondie.

“I barely recognized you with that colour,” Jaejoong laughs when hugging on to Julia tightly and he turns to everyone with an arm around her. “These are my two favourite juniors in the world! Two blonde celebrities, aren’t they beauties?”

“Let’s drink!” another friend in the room calls out with a glass in the air and Jaejoong tells everyone that they should listen at him introducing his juniors.

They are all drunk and all of a sudden, Hannah misses going here with all her members. Julia is great at parties, she knows how to joke and how to behave, and her excuse for not drinking is that she drives (that doesn’t stop people from giving her drinks) while Hannah, who knows most people there, is in the centre of jokes and attention without even saying much and she keeps getting a refill even if she doesn’t drink up. Hannah drinks to a certain level, feeling the alcohol in her stomach but not really getting drunk, and she do have a blast hanging out with those she knows there just because Jaejoong is a great drinking buddy at a party. He chats, sings, laughs, jokes, drinks and brings up the moods twenty times better than how it would have been without him and he really puts focus on everyone there. Hannah keeps glancing at Julia during their time there, them both smiling at each other each time. Somehow, they can enjoy the time even if they both know they will probably not feel well getting up early to catch the flight to Europe in the morning.

The ladies starts laughing after that Maria has said something in Spanish to the female interviewer and the interviewer is talking in a pretty good English that her Spanish is good but Maria keeps saying that fluent Spanish is too fast to be understood by a beginner like Maria.

“But your Spanish is good, don’t say that!” the woman laughs and hits Maria on the leg, the same way you do when you like someone or in this case, on someone you admire. “Did you study on the way here or have you learnt it before?”

“I learned Spanish for three years actually,” Maria brightly answers and laughs at the Spanish staff filming them for the interview. “What? It was like … six years ago now, so I think I’m pretty good for remembering so much. Mi español es bueno.”

The other ladies can’t help but to just laugh, because they can’t a single bit of Spanish other than the greeting that they did learn on the way to Spain. They have spent most day doing interviews, going back and forth and the girls are just completely lost that they are just laughing and giggling and smiling at the cameras without even knowing what they are really doing other than that this is an interview taking place in Spain.

“Do you ever fight, between you girls?” the woman asks between the randomly talking. Hannah’s laugh is hoarse but she can’t stop laughing because Emelia keeps mumbling things so just Hannah hears it and it is freaking her out.

“All the time. We fight daily about everything,” Maria answers after giving a stare at Emelia.

“Who fights the most?” the woman asks with a short laugh as Hannah and Emelia keeps laughing and she mentions it too but they just wave it off.

“All of us. I don’t think it really is two members fighting all the time, because if two members fight all of us tend to join in somehow so everyone is fighting,” Julia answers now, sitting furthest away from the woman, “and I am actually about to start a fight with these two if they don’t stop fooling around so much.”

“She is fooling around,” Hannah is fast to point at Emelia and the two of them starts laughing while leaning towards each other.

5 Pieces are in Europe this week, promoting their international single [Face Me]. In one interview they had gone a little overboard on themselves (in a good way) when they were asked a basic international question for this group; if they really went to South Korea for a singing audition. Emelia had sighed and explained (in English) that their audition was almost six years ago and they have gotten this same question for the past three years each time they promote outside Asia, to instead lighten up the mood by asking her own questions that really made them laugh.

Spain is their third country and this is their fourth city; two cities in Germany for two days, UK the third day and the fourth day finishes off in Spain. And Spain is just as amazing as all the other places because wherever 5 Pieces goes, hundred of fans follows. Their arrival in Germany on the first day had been making headlines everywhere with the police and “world star” treatment. What makes this whole trip the best so far is the performances. 5 Pieces have performed [Face Me] on a show in the UK, they had done outdoor appearances in Germany and every single time, fans would sing along. The European fans had been singing the song and they did fan chants like the Korean fans and they were so loud that the UK News had done a 4-minute-long segment about 5 Pieces’ short visit just to let everyone know how insanely great Puzzle are.

The worst part is that they sing live, and following both Carolina and Julia it is now Hannah who has caught a cold. Her voice when talking is hoarse, and Carolina as well has seem to have caught the cold anew so at each possible chance they are all treating their voices like gold, trying to not talk while in front of fans they go insane and for the interviews they are having a lot of fun to give of their own kind of image as well as promote [(Dare to) Face Me]. London was worse yesterday, because the ladies had an hour of free time and they wanted to go shopping (what do you expect, it’s London!) but they were stuck indoors and they were tired and Maria had taken a picture of herself and Hannah looking poor and tired, uploaded on the leader’s Instagram with the caption “tired, not allowed to go out, don’t we look miserable?”

5 Pieces head to the fourth country for this promotion week – home place – Sweden. The flight just takes a few hours and when landing it starts all over again; 5 Pieces are crowded at the airport when heading to the car and they are stalked (almost causing an accident!) when heading to the hotel.

Hannah’s voice is almost gone while Carolina has caught a fever, and the ladies are just tired when arriving because they are ready for a good night of sleep. They have been working all day with interviews and performances in Spain and they just need some sleep even if they got it at the flight too. For dividing rooms, the ladies had decided it when arriving in Germany to go the same the whole trip; Hannah and Julia in one room, Carolina and Emelia in one room and Maria shares with their manager. That was before Carolina got a fever and they ends up deciding to put the two sick ladies in one room; Carolina and Hannah in one room. And it is so comfortably going to bed the first night in Sweden because Carolina falls asleep right away so there are no annoying things going on in the room when Hannah goes to bed to sleep too.

Just to be woken up by Julia knocking on the door.

“Did you see the articles?” Julia asks when she storms inside the room, not stopping when seeing that Carolina is asleep because she probably knows the mascot is a heavy sleeper.

“What articles? Can’t it wait for morning?” Hannah mumbles with a yawn, dragging her feet with her to the bed while Julia is trying to show her something on her phone. “Read it to me.” Hannah’s eyes can’t focus enough to read anything.

“It’s a Korean article,” Julia starts before reading the headline; “‘SHINee Jonghyun Rumoured To Have Broken Up With 5 Pieces Hannah’… It’s not the worst; ‘For Same-Age Actress’. They name some girl I have never heard of.”

“It’s just a prank,” Hannah mumbles, not even sure if she just heard correctly as she has put her head on her pillow.

“This is serious, Hannah. Even SM has come out to deny the rumours of you two breaking up. I heard from Yong Hyun in Korea that there are rumours within the agency that media is planning a big scandalous break-up issue with this, that they will come up with details and such saying you have parted with so many schedule going on, that you are too serious about 5 Pieces that Jonghyun turned to someone else or about cheating and-”

“Why would they do that?”

Hannah sits up to grab the phone to look through the article, reading completely nonsense and then seeing the comments with fans writing ‘guys, I’m pretty sure that Jonghyun would not go from Hannah to actress, it’s just a bad rumours’, ‘that girl is pretty, and she is Korean…’, ‘that B****!’, ‘how dare he dump Hannah????’ and ‘Jonghyun is dating Korean actress while Hannah is in Europe… this is messed up’. Hannah stares up at Julia, gaping at her for seconds and seconds and she is so completely unaware of what her blank mind should be thinking. They actually believe this? One comment read ‘Hannah is too good for him anyway, she probably dumped him with her DARE TO FACE ME. He will be reminded of it every second for the rest of his life!’

“Have you talked to Jonghyun?” Julia wonders, taking a seat in the arm-chair.

“No…”

“Are you going to?”

“Not now…” Hannah mumbles, putting the cell phone away on the bed with a sigh. Jonghyun should know about this, he always keeps an eye on everything going on, especially if it is about him. Why hasn’t he told her?

“Are you sure?” Julia wonders, stretching her arms a little. She is going to bed as soon as she has talked to Hannah. “Anything can happen in a few hours.”

“I don’t think it matters. Jonghyun and I know it isn’t right, it’s not like the two of us talking to each other and getting upset will make it better. I’ll talk to him in the morning,” Hannah mumbles, honestly too tired to even be punched in the stomach that rumours are starting once again. Can’t people just leave her alone?

Julia doesn’t stay for long, she just wanted to let Hannah know so the youngest won’t get a shock in the morning, and when Hannah lies down again she just can’t close her eyes no matter how tired she is. Did Jonghyun meet the actress? Or how did they link the two of them? Hannah doesn’t know who the actress is either, and she honestly has no interest at all in her; she is more curious about everything else. Where do the rumours come from, what’s the source? What “details” will be released and why hasn’t Jonghyun told her anything about this when he always is so fast to contact her to know her reaction? Secretly at the back of her mind she thinks that it could be true, but she never really thinks it completely because … no, he wouldn’t.

For an hour she lies in bed with no clue of what to think, several of times wondering if she should give Jonghyun a call right now but each time she lift her hand to consider it she remembers that Korea is seven hours before them, and that Jonghyun could sleep by now if he doesn’t have a schedule. Eventually she falls asleep. Not the best sleep she has had, but neither the worst so she feels she can be enough rested in the morning; what a lie she tells herself.
