“That looks fabulous. Could you lower your chin an inch? Oh, beautifully.”

The American photographer is quick with the camera, and he has an endless of praise to the models of this early morning’s photo shoot. Though he is fast with the camera, he takes pauses to look at the result by himself before continuing, only letting the bigger breaks be times for the ladies to sneak a peak of the resulted pictures.

Las Vegas is beautiful. It is the second morning since arrival and 5 Pieces are constantly working hard. Half of the time here they have been in a borrowed practice-room to prepare for the Billboard Music Awards, they have taken long turns going from the hotel to the practice to get a view of the city and to eat at restaurants, and this morning they went for the first rehearsals for tomorrow’s music awards while spending the rest of the day on a photo shoot for an American magazine early. Exciting and nerve-wracking, the ladies are posing professionally and treating the staff politely while their minds are connected to practice at each possible chance – it will be an event different to their past six years, an event that can open doors for 5 Pieces.

“Are you that nervous?”

Maria turns around to gape at the man who is interviewing them for the magazine. Just this question is off the record, the man is sneaking a peek on the photo shoot after the interview and he caught Maria and Hannah going through some moves together.

“It’s the biggest event we have ever attended,” Maria starts to tell him in English; “Being nervous is just a little ingredient to how I am feeling right now.”

“It’s the first of many, hopefully,” he blinks at her playfully, making Maria laugh and agree with him.

Hannah is amazed by how down-to-earth and friendly Maria manages to be to everyone, within seconds being friends with everyone no matter what nationality they have.

The trip to America this time is different from their previous ones. Hannah think their visit will always be different for each time, and for the same reason; recognition. The ladies thought they were popular a few months ago when they were promoting abroad, it is different this time because people are commenting that they are going to Billboard alongside Ricky Martin, Jennifer Lopez, Shakira and so many others – only the biggest artists will be there! And then … it’s 5 Pieces. If you are a rising star, to attend something like this is something absolutely fascinating. Though 5 Pieces have done impossible things for the past six years in Korea and Asia, this will be their first time really going on an event for real musicians and artists known worldwide and played on radio every hour in most countries in the world. THIS is a big deal. The ladies seemed to understand this recognition yesterday when they went to an expensive shop to try on the celebrity dresses they will be wearing. Connection and rising fame can give you a lot, including borrowing fancy dresses from world-known designers. Hannah will not open about the clothes they will wear; she will leave it to the others so she won’t make any mistakes.

The photo shoot goes well; everyone seems pleased with it though the ladies are more thinking of tomorrow. When the photo-shoot ends, 5 Pieces do the usual long trip to the practice-room and stops at a restaurant to get some dinner. Since they now have had the first rehearsal for tomorrow they know how the stage will really look like, they have tried it, so when entering the practice-room now the ladies starts to talk right away about the details that they learned about during rehearsals, looking through the video their manager had filmed earlier of the rehearsal too and they simply just go through their performance from beginning to end for hours just to make sure they will do their best tomorrow.

“The teaser is out,” Emelia comments a few hours later when they are wrapping up to go get some sleep at the hotel.

“Your teaser?” Hannah asks and sits down on the chair next to Emelia to see the tablet the rapper is sitting with.

It’s D-10 for their comeback in Korea, meaning their teasers will start once again as well as the information for the dates and schedule is revealed for fans and media to know. The first music video teaser for [POWER UP] came out weeks ago before the tragedy occurred that made the comeback schedule get delayed, and that was a teaser of Maria making her entrance to the bar, looking fabulous, and ask the bartender how the mood is tonight. He answered ‘I think they need some entertainment’ and Maria casually held out a hand and said ‘microphone’. It is Hannah’s favourite teaser from when they were filming it. With a microphone in hand for the teaser, Maria jumps up on the bar counter while the bartender motions for the DJ to stop playing, the leader crosses one leg over the other and leans a little back to gracefully be half-lying on the bar. Without any music or background sounds, Maria started to sing the intro for [POWER UP]. It was a great first teaser for the new song, Maria sang *somewhere walking down the street tonight* and started to get attention with the spotlight on her *there is a girl! You can’t deny. Come on and give it a try.. Let’s see if you caaaaaan. Keep these ladies down…* In the teaser music begins to play before it fades, a tease of the song before the teaser ends.

For Emelia’s teaser released today a dancer struts backstage, smilingly commenting ‘there are a lot of guests tonight’ where Emelia is standing by a vintage make-up table, the details in how the camera for the teaser takes notice of Emelia resting one hand on the table to lean forward to the mirror with a blush-brush in her hand, looking absolutely gorgeous with hair and make-up done. Emelia just gave the dancer a glance before turning back to the mirror. A man peeks inside backstage; ‘lady, you’re needed out there’ is what he says. Emelia makes a hand motion before she takes a turn, the scene suddenly changes with her turn to when Emelia turns out in the bar with a tray in hand, giving drinks and getting orders, smiling to customers while music is playing and she flirts with the bartenders. ‘You’re performing tonight?’ one of them asks and Emelia responses with; ‘All ladies together, just the way you want it’. And the teaser ends with Emelia’s blink.

Flirty, an article that came out about the second teaser says that Emelia flirts in the teaser while serving drinks.

Tomorrow the first set of comeback pictures of 5 Pieces will come out, the first actual pictures for the comeback. But that is tomorrow, and today it is the video teaser the ladies look at, including the comments. ‘Emelia only looks better and better with time…’ is the comment Emelia points at with a smile.

“I’ll be at my peak in my sixties,” Emelia jokes. “Oh, look at this one ‘5P always goes all-out in their concepts, this is freaking flawless, can’t wait for the comeback’. I think my head is about to explode, ladies… Billboards tomorrow and in a few days we have the comeback showcase…”

“It’s sick.” Maria nods from the door, waiting impatiently for the rest to stop chatting and start moving so they can head to the hotel and sleep. “Are you done?”

“When are we leaving in the morning?” Hannah is curious to know when getting up on her feet, walking across the room to Maria.

“Too early based on the hours we will get to sleep unless you all get in the car within two minutes,” Maria says in a low voice, her eyes stuck angrily on Emelia who is taking her time getting over to them as if telling the rapper she is the one to blame if they don’t get enough sleep. Maria puts an arm around Hannah’s shoulders, holding up the door with her other hand to lazily wait for the other members. “Please don’t talk about our comeback too much – my poor heart is already beating too fast for tomorrow.”

“Should we slay a pact then?” Carolina suggests. “No album talk until we are back in Korea.”

“Ya, we’ve been here for two days and you only bring it up now?” Maria complains, rolling her eyes and just ignoring Carolina by turning around, pulling Hannah with her out the room. “It’s good I’m sharing room with you this time, baby; I would pull my hair out if I had to share with anyone else.”

They all know she is joking even if she sounds serious, so Hannah just smiles and lets Maria say it without showing much of a reaction. Hannah just wants to try gets some sleep, hoping they can get some sleep before the Billboard Music Awards. In the van the ladies are listening to soft music to calm down after practice. It goes fast heading home after midnight, though this city is clearly awake at this hour on Saturday night.

It’s after midnight on a Saturday night but there are still a few fans at the hotel 5 Pieces are staying at. It’s one of few times where the fans actually step back to take pictures of the ladies walking inside the hotel instead of flocking as close as possible. While waiting for the elevator, there are two girls who are also staying at the hotel but they are obvious fans because they are always in the lobby and seem to decide to take the elevators when 5 Pieces arrives – rarely the same elevator because of 5 Pieces’ manager. Just tonight, one of the two girls asks with a sad voice what 5 Pieces have been doing until this late.

Carolina gives a smile over her shoulder at the two girls, and the smile gets wider when turning back to look at her members because of the reaction the two girls gave to be noticed. Hannah is almost giggling, hugging on to Maria’s arm while Maria is leaning against the wall tiredly waiting for the elevator.

“Good luck tomorrow,” the two girls say in weak voices when the elevators arrive. “We’ll be rooting for 5 Pieces.”

It’s impossible not to smile when getting inside the elevator. Turning around once they are inside, Emelia can’t stay quiet and tells the two fans outside; “Look forward to our appearance on Billboard tomorrow.”

“Iiiiih!” the girls outside the elevator are heard when the doors close and all the ladies start laughing at the reaction.

“Completely adorable,” Carolina is squealing, becoming a fan of their own fans. The reactions are completely adorable, Hannah agrees on that, and she understands Carolina’s bright reaction because this means their fans are really excited about tomorrow – they better do well.

5 Pieces have heard a lot of things being said about them. Youtubers, bloggers, media and comments circling around not just in America but all over the world since it became known that 5 pieces will perform at Billboard Music Awards. Expectations that they will do well, ‘this group was compared better than One Direction, now is their chance to actually prove it’ and ‘we will probably not recognize them, but they are big in Asia and we all have gone crazy to their song [Daze] without even knowing who they are’. All because of [Daze], people are expecting a lot. All because they out of nowhere were compared to One Direction (since they are both in a band), people are expecting a lot. All because most people watching will not have a clue that 5 Pieces have spent six years in Korea and will probably think they are a sudden rising girl-group with the debut song [Daze], because no one knows that these girls have been living on the stage for years already. It’s not their first time attending an music award show, it is not their first time walking a red carpet or dressing up or facing journalists and fame, though it is their first time facing it in America in such a big event. Hannah worries that people only see 5 Pieces as the group singing [Daze], that no one will know of their latest English song [(Dare to) Face Me] that they will perform at the event or even if people will see them and actually recognize them. What if they arrive on the red carpet and no one knows who they are? Hannah is expecting that. What else should she do? Imagine coming to the biggest music award show in the world (one of them maybe), being from a tiny country across the globe that basically has a world of its own, would anyone really know who you are? Hannah doesn’t think so. Hopefully the journalists if they are interviewed will at least know their group-name.

The ladies share their worries once again. Hannah and Maria lie down in bed at the hotel room, in low voices talking about how they expect people to react at Billboards. The rehearsals today went well, a few people spoke to them by name, but then again – it is their job. Maria has a little more expectations than Hannah; ‘of course they will know us, we’re the talk of the town’. A lot of people talk about them, about the expectations of this girl-group coming out of nowhere with their professional performances and attitudes, but Hannah still worries about attending an award show since they have never done it before.

Because of all the worries going through her head Hannah can’t fall asleep that well. For three hours she just turns and turns. Its good she shares room with Maria because they both are sensitive to sleeping when it is too hot; and Las Vegas is hot, so on that front it is good. After three hours, Maria says she can’t sleep. Hannah knows the leader has been sleeping, worriedly and not much, so for the next hours they just lie in silence pretending to sleep while their minds are racing with thoughts. Maria goes to the bathroom many times, saying she needs to pee, and within a minute she comes back with a sigh. Hannah just lies in her bed, thinking of this and that, checking her phone and asking questions now and then that Maria barely answers because she is too tired to show she is also thinking of the same things.

In the morning Maria has just fallen asleep and Hannah gets in the shower first.

Billboard Music Awards…

5 Pieces’ morning is a lot like it usually is. Freshen up, pack a bag, eat some breakfast and get ready before leaving the hotel to go to the final rehearsals and preparations for tonight show. Arriving dressed in casual clothes; they go around greeting everyone and check the day’s schedule while finding their room. Hannah has put up her pastel pink hair in a high bun, she is not going anywhere without a cardigan with her because she is wearing a simple long t-shirt to leggings and sneakers.

“You know the thing we did last night?” Carolina asks out in a loud voice over the table, pointing at Julia when they are in their dressing-room. “When we change the song, the formation we did?”

“Yeah?” Julia asks, busy eating a pear.

“In the rehearsal video you were off on the right, look here,” Carolina is so focused on watching the rehearsal video from yesterday, and she leans over the table to point it out in the video for Julia who nods. They are all focused on their performance, going through the details and repeating things, reminding each other before the final rehearsal is about to begin. There are a lot of hours left but they need to make sure clothes, accessories, songs, voices and bodies, choreography, their stylists and dancers all are ready. Nervousness, they are all still excited to attend the awards, cheering each other on and screaming among themselves at the glimpses of celebrities they spot during the day – not much, not many, just glimpses of a few.

Gorgeous, stunning, elegant and absolutely beautiful, 5 Pieces is unrecognizable arriving at the red carpet for Billboard Music Awards 2014. The concept for 5 Pieces is elegant.

Julia, in her chic dark pixie haircut is wearing a long elegant evening gown in red, shaped around her s and cut up her left leg. Emelia standing next to her is wearing a chiffon prom dress in green, the same kind of style on the dress with her right leg revealed and details on the right side above her hip with glitter details revealing some cuts of skin. It’s beautiful, and more fitted for the red carpet than at the prom. Her hair that is long in honey brown has been styled in a long, most fascinating braid taking the hair to the back of her head, revealing her pretty pale face, and the hair going down in the cool braid down her shoulder and over her . Julia looks tanned next to Emelia, they both still looks stunning in their own colours. Hannah is in the middle, standing on Emelia’s right with her pastel pink hair simply styled with waves, but the focus is still on her body in the fitting sparkly evening gown, the only member wearing black. As they are wearing the same designer, Hannah’s dress also has details on the side, revealing more skin than Emelia in the side cuts; glitter details making it look classy. Carolina looks like a goddess with her shoulder-length deep red hair, straight and classy; she is also wearing an off-white strapless evening gown, the red in her hair looks amazing with the white dress and it looks pretty with the flower see-through side detail too. Maria is at the end, slim and tall she looks like an angel with the sunny blonde hair up in a half-up style, wearing a sparkly evening gown with flower-colours at the top and a colour at the rest of the dress falling down her body.

Looking classic and elegant, 5 Pieces take on the red carpet, starting off standing together as a group for the reporters. They are posing with a hand on their hip, turn to stand on the side, looks over their shoulder, posing like real professionals while hearing the reporters calls out ‘look here’, ‘second row’, ‘look here’ repeatedly and so on – the place is loud with sounds of music and voices. Soft smiles or big smiles, it varies within the two minutes they are there and some staff starts giving hand motions for them to continue.

It’s wild. The reporters are so loud, shouting for some more pictures but the weather is great with a light breeze.

Heading off the red carpet they just continue slowly, being shown where to walk up to by managers and staff. A few brief interviews and the ladies get stuck by each person holding a microphone who gives them attention.

“I am super thrilled to be standing here with you, at Billboards,” a male interviewer is saying, his American talk is really nice and he is looking at the five elegant ladies tightly standing together to fit on the camera filming them, he sounds thrilled too. “This is actually your first music awards appearance?”

“This is our very first time attending a music award in America, yes,” Maria answers in English. She is smiling prettily. Emelia gives Hannah a brief smile, an excited smile; they are actually doing this! Hannah smiles back as if they read each other’s minds, no words have to be said for them to know how shaky this is.

“You flew in here just for Billboards. How does it feel? Your first time attending, you are nominated in four categories and you are performing as well. How is it?”

Maria looks at her members, Hannah smiles too as she can feel Carolina’s arm around her waist. “We have been extremely nervous about today,” Maria starts saying while looking at the ladies and then smiles at the interviewer, “We are really happy to be here and to dress up this fancy… We are really enjoying it now when it has started, but definitely, we will keep being nervous for many reasons.”

“Who are you looking forward to see the most tonight?”

“Oh…” Maria sighs, the ladies all thinking of it and Hannah can hear Emelia says a name, then Carolina say another name, Maria says J-Lo and Hannah keeps smiling, in a low voice saying they look forward to see a lot of people.

“We actually met Ricky Martin during rehearsals earlier today,” Emelia starts to say and the ladies nods. “He was really cool and knew who we were so we were kind of like really idiotic by only saying ‘yeah’ and that we are fans of his. It was really unbelievable to see him.”

“He is really y,” Carolina says and Hannah is clearly nodding in agreement.

“You released a single at the start of the year, is there an album coming up next perhaps? A lot of fans in America have asked us over twitter about any new releases coming up?”

“Um…” Emelia is the one talking now; “We have been working on a few songs with Melissa Allen but I think our album isn’t half way done yet, we still have a lot left to record. But I think people can look forward to our up-coming projects.”

“What is the latest song we have been hearing? Your Korean song [Girls Power] is totally the bomb at the moment. It is topping the list at Billboard. Is there a chance we will get to hear it tonight?” he sounds excited, surprising the ladies as they definitely did not expect to be questioned about anything related to Korea at all. Carolina even pinches Hannah slightly, as if telling her that someone mentioned their Korean song.

“Oh wow…” Maria can’t help but to laugh with the surprise over the question.

“We will not perform [Girls Power] tonight, but we have another performance you can look forward to,” Carolina answers kindly.

“What is that song? Where did it come from? Are you promoting it in Korea at the moment?”

“[Girls Power] is the first song for our fourth Korean album that is coming out at the end of this month. We have released it in Korea and we have more things lined up, so there will be a lot of promotions in Korea for us,” Maria is answering, making sure to say ‘Korea’ for no one to think it will be a release in America.

“So no American album but a Korean album instead?” the interviewer asks.

“Yeah. We are going to spend a few months working in Korea with this album coming up, and when we’ll see how the rest of the year will look like,” Maria says while nodding.

“We’re actually in the middle of hectic preparations for the comeback when hurrying here for Billboards,” Julia adds, “right after this we are heading back to Korea to prepare for the album release.”

Surprisingly it was more talk about Korea and their fourth album than expected, because even if the whole day, what they say in this brief interview is the only thing they say about that subject, it is still more than they expected because they didn’t expect it to be brought up at all. Thanking for the interview, they move on to a duo standing, pulling the ladies in for an interview, asking what they are wearing, who they look forward to seeing, their first time in Las Vegas… Basic questions they have been asked along the whole red carpet.

“You came out of nowhere, how does it feel to attend such an event with all these world famous stars while you are newbies? Are you having these fan-girl moments?” a female interviewer asks the girls.

“We definitely have a lot of fan-girl moments just imagining that we are in the same city as J-Lo and such, but …” Maria pauses to glance at her members just briefly, “I mean we have been working in Asia going on award shows for the past few years so I don’t think we are much of newbies other than we are for the first time attending a show in America…”

“Oh, you work a lot in Asia?” the interviewer asks and for a brief second everything stops while the ladies are like ‘what…’ but of course, Hannah is once again impressed by her own members when Maria naturally answers;

“Yeah, we work quite a lot in Asia. We have released a few albums and gone on tours, winning awards… It has been a great journey and we work there all the time.”

“Cool…” the interviewer quietly says, glancing at her own staff as they are aware of her mistake – the ladies doesn’t take it personal, this is exactly how they thought their whole red carpet would be, so to have only one person not know who they are is amazing.

Leaving that interview, the ladies can’t help but to laugh. They aren’t offended; they just pity the interviewer because her crew seemed to know what mistake she was making, it was just a mistake they can laugh at.

Finishing up the red carpet, 5 Pieces doesn’t start to prepare to sit among other singers and celebrities in front of the stage for the show to soon begin but instead head backstage to prepare for their performance that will be sometime during the first hour of the show. To fit the concept of [Face Me], the ladies are in simple clothing. Hannah and Julia are both wearing a tie-waist plaid skort, Julia in red and Hannah in black; Julia has a fitting white cut-out top to it and Hannah has a star-print blouse tugged inside. Julia finishes her look with a pair of headphones around her neck. Emelia is in a white patterned short sleeve loose-fit t-shirt, a pair of ripped black shorts and darker tights, looking charismatic like the rapper she is. Carolina looks chic in a black tank top with their name on it, ripped jeans and a short sleeves sheer jacket in white, her hair a little more messy and Maria is in a white hoop-detail open-front mesh top and a pair of white shorts underneath, looking gorgeous like always. On their feet they are all wearing boots, Hannah with the highest heel and Maria with the shortest, but they all look great with it, completing the look together.

They are just about done when hearing a staff member ask them to get ready, and the ladies look around. Their dancers are dressed and ready as well, everyone looking nervous but know that it will soon just be excitement filling them as they gather around with all hands held out to the centre for their cheer.

“Are you all ready?” male dancer Haneul asks, as the oldest among the dancers standing with them and Carolina gives off a squeal in sudden excitement that makes them laugh. “After working together all these years, I must say we have done greatly a lot of things together. We have performed in Madison Square Garden together here in America, we have taken on the best stages in Asia and we dancers have also been greeted by Puzzle recognizing us as 5 Pieces’ dancers. Our journey together has been brilliant and we are now about to show an amazing performance to show the world what magical our performances are like. They will regret not watching 5 Pieces earlier.”

“Your speech is hundred times better than Maria’s,” Emelia jokes and laughs evilly when Maria hits her arm.

“Shut up and focus,” the leader tells her and nods for Haneul to continue.

“All we have to do is to go up on the stage, for the first time here in Las Vegas and for Billboard, and for America too, but we belong up there and we are about to show it. For a great and successful journey together, Danger Squad and 5 Pieces, we are making world history right now. Leader, give us a cheer.”

Maria smiles widely and if this was on a football field they all would be stomping their feet on the floor in the energy filling them at the look Maria gives them, and when opening they all are ready to response.

“I love you all. Now let’s take on another stage. I ask you twice; who are we?”

“5 Pieces!” they all laugh.

“WHO ARE WE?!” Maria shouts out and she screams out at the top of her lungs with the rest of them; “5 PIECES!”

Nervousness is taken over by excitement, they all start to relax after the cheer because they are in this together and all of them have the same pressure on them to do well, to represent K-Pop, Korea, Sweden, 5 Pieces, SM Entertainment, they are representing their fans who have taken them this far. It is a lot of pressure, but knowing they are doing it together makes them relax after the cheer, when they become one shouting their name.

Hannah is shaking her hands, smiling out of excitement heading to the stage and letting out the unnecessary nervousness staying in her hands like it always does.

5 Pieces waits backstage to get up, hearing what is going on up on the stage, the ladies check the mirror their stylists holds up for them, they clear their voices and lightly stretches a little more, taking deep breaths and glancing at each other. This is it, this is 5 Pieces taking on the stage in front of the biggest stars, this is their chance to really show the whole world watching Billboard that 5 Pieces is worthy of this stage.

Getting up on the black stage, 5 Pieces take their positions in secret while they are being introduced.

“The next performer of the evening are from Sweden, but their all-so impressive career took off in South Korea six years ago. After becoming legends all over Asia, they have now put the rest of the world in what they call a daze, making the world both dance along and sing along to their hit songs no matter what language they sing in. For the first time here on Billboard, please welcome our favourite girl-group – it’s 5 Pieces.”

Cameras pass by the celebrity who introduced them as the stage shines up and the music for [(Dare to) Face Me] kicks on. In a reflex like practiced, 5 Pieces’ starts performing right away in synch, their hip style to their hip song, Emelia’s voice starts off like the charismatic member she has the image of being.

Hannah finds herself moving her body a little more than necessary, but even when noticing it she doesn’t stop. She wants to show that they can move in synch, that a good choreography can be pulled off by five Swedish girls, that they can sing perfectly live while dancing. She wants to show off in front of these people, as if saying they are really good. While singing the pre-chorus, Hannah sees what the cameras already have spotted; the fans. A lot of Puzzle fans seem to be present, holding up purple banners at the length of your arm, on it they have written ‘THE ONE AND ONLY’. It takes the chorus until Hannah understands what it means, and she gives a smile at Emelia dancing next to her when realising it is actually the title of their first English song – [One and Only].

Energetic, moving even more than before, Hannah keeps performing with the knowledge that their fans are making themselves visible in the audience with the banners.

Carolina gives a smile when taking a step back after her part, the ladies starting to dance to the music during the dance break. The screaming are heard, and they all can feel how they start to tear up when hearing among the screams a chanting during the dance break. Just like in Korea or official events of 5 Pieces, they can hear fans chant ‘5 Pieces! 5 Pieces!’, continuing to just cheer when the ladies continues to sing their song.

The music changes, a remix is created and the celebrities enjoying the performance are curious to what is going to happen, just like the fans. The ladies know their performance is different from the other performances of the night, just because 5 Pieces are not adapting to the American culture, but instead brings in the kind of performance they are used to give. 5 Pieces keeps dancing to the music, dancers are making their appearances, and to the music you can hear a voice half singing, half talking, barely heard in the loud remix music, but the meaning is deep.

The music stops abruptly after the message, and 5 Pieces have taken new positions, stopping with their eyes coolly staring forward. Hannah is still excited, her chest rising and lowering crazily and it feels like they are having their concert in Osaka all over again, a place filled with people knowing their song. In a low slow voice, Emelia says *DAZZLE…* and 5 Pieces along with their dancers take on a different pose, the audience starts cheering as they obviously know what song it is, *STUN… DAZE… STOP, for a second. Isn’t it dazzling?*

[Daze] receives a loud cheer, the audience the closest to the stage starts jumping and screaming, whether they are fans of 5 Pieces or not they still know the song that starts playing. They have cut off the first half to just perform the last part of the song, to let people know that this is 5 Pieces’ song. The banners are still visible in the audience, waving and shaking along with the screams as 5 Pieces begins performing the charismatic song with strict movements, Carolina sings first;

As soon as their performance ends, 5 Pieces are in a rush backstage to get changed for the third time. But they are feeling on the top, continuing to bow at whoever they meet without realising that it is not what you usually do in America, but they are on the top now, they couldn’t care less.

“Did you see it?” Maria cheers when they are in their room, laughing happily and jumping. “They had a banner for us, oh my gosh! It looked beautiful…”

While getting changed they keep talking about it, how amazing it was to receive such an event for their first music award show outside Asia. It was flawless, and the girls are still smiling when heading out to take their seats half an hour later – that half hour was definitely needed because Maria kept calling out that she will start crying the whole time, moved by the banners their fans held up.

Hannah is wearing a cute colour contrast sleeveless back cut-out v-neck dress, a delicate girly style. She wears a basic long necklace, a pair of high heels and some light rings and a bracelet. She is sitting with Maria on one side, the leader wearing gladiator high heels, a pair of lace-up high-waist shorts in white to show off her model-figure and a hooded colour-block pullover see-through. They do not look like they have had a blast on stage at all, still looking fresh and stylish. The ladies are lightly dressed, basic colours, and it looks like the best outfit to wear for the rest of the night.

Sitting among the others along the rows, the ladies are so busy trying to see who are sitting around them and what is going on up on the stage.

At the beginning of the show, when 5 Pieces was backstage, the award Top New Artist of the Year was presented. 5 Pieces was nominated online though they weren’t shown among the nominees tonight, and it is weird they at all were nominated when their international debut was back in 2011. It is a lot of stand-up and sit-down during the award show; the ladies dancing along whenever dance music goes on and they are always following the others sitting there when to stand up and when to sit down again. They are enjoying it. They look around the place constantly, probably looking to be super fascinated to be there.

Austin Mahone gets up on stage with Cher Loyd, and both of them makes Maria giggle, saying they are really cute. They are presenting Top Streaming Artist, first shown among the nominees are Miley Cyrus. Even PSY is nominated. Yet it makes your stomach tingle when 5 Pieces’ [Daze] is shown and a voice says their name as one of the nominated. It is their second nomination for the night, so cool – 5 Pieces in a world music award show!

“And the Billboard Music Award goes to …” Austin Mahone says before looking down at the phone in his hand to see who the winner is. It is quiet for second before the duo presenters together announces in the microphone; “5 Pieces!”

[Daze] starts to play while a voice talks about 5 Pieces’ achievements, and the real 5 Pieces are standing up. Hannah stands up, holding on to Maria’s hand and smiling uncontrollably when lowering her head in a bow to those standing up and applauding around them. Maria pulls her along with the members to get out of their line, and with the cheering of fans, being applauded by celebrities standing up around them, 5 Pieces keep bowing and smiling brightly when heading towards the stage. Emelia turns around to wave widely to the cheering fans and Carolina gives an obvious bow before hurrying her steps forward to hug on to Emelia, laughing. Julia is shaking her hand trying to grab another lady’s hand before happily following the others up.

They receive the award, Emelia holds on to it and she steps straight up to the microphone waiting for her.

“Thank you Billboard!” she cheers happily with the award up in the air, laughing at the fans holding up their banner and screaming. The ladies stand next to each other, arms linked or holding hands, shining with those big smiles. Emelia talks in English; “Wow, this is truly amazing. We can not believe we are actually here in Las Vegas right now, and I speak for my ladies and our whole crew when I say that this award is all thanks to our fans. Puzzle, thank you so much.” The crowd cheers loudly. Not as loudly as it would have been in Asia, but definitely, you know there are fans of 5 Pieces there. The ladies clap their hands too. Emelia lets Julia reach for the microphone.

“Thanks to the beautiful and talented producer Melissa Allen, our team of managers and stylists and dancers who make us not loose ourselves backstage, to our wonderful fans; you are really the most amazing fans, thank you so much for this award. I also want to thank our families, who from Sweden have watched us grow since birth and have watched us become ladies from afar, and who are still supporting us deeply. Mom, I love you. We have our agencies to thank, Lee Sooman, all the teachers who worked day and night to help us out… Thank you!

Maria slinks forward to reach the microphone too, and in Korean she says; “We also want to thank all of our idols and inspirations throughout the years, our seniors in Korea, to SM Entertainment taking us in, to our Appa and flawless dancing crew, Yong Hyun Oppa, Mi Young Unnie, all the people who have helped us.” She continues in Swedish; “I love my family, thank you!”

“Puzzle, you’re the best!” Emelia shouts out and raises the award again before the ladies take a step back and give a bow together.
