Chapter 23: Deal Breaker

S.M. Spies

Hey guys :)  First of all. . . I just wanted to say Thank You.  1063 views.  Wow.  I know that I'm definitely not a great author and I know that the number of views doesn't matter to most people.  They're just views, not subscriptions or comments or up-votes, but I don't think of it that way.  The fact that someone took the time to click on this story and just take a look at it means so much to me.  Even though I have people that tell me I'm not an accomplished author on this site (which I know obviously). . .

You guys make me feel like I'm on top of the world whenever I update :)  Thank you.

Yuki and Minho pressed themselves against the outside wall of the foreboding building, waiting for the last few men to walk inside of it before making their move.

It was nearing 12:30 at night.  The pair would be lying if they said they weren't exhausted from the day's events.  However, Block B gave them food, drinks, and a place to rest before they took on the next part of their mission.  The gang, as it turns out, displayed no signs of displeasure at discovering that Minho and Yuki had become spies for S.M.  If anything, they had offered their services in order to guarantee the success of the mission.  Even now, Yuki's stomach was churning uncomfortably at the thought that members of the Underworld, her first real home since the death of her parents, were turning on the soil they lived on in exchange for money.

"The meeting's scheduled to start now," Taemin said into Minho and Yuki's earpieces.

"The bosses of the Underworld aren't ones to wait," Minho said, taking a peek around the wall, "anyone that was supposed to be present for this meeting should already be inside."  Sure enough, there were no stragglers near the building except for two heavily armed guards.

"I don't have a silencer," Yuki muttered, cursing under her breath, "so we can't kill them that easily."

"Ah well," Minho said with a small grin on his face, "we'll have to take them out the old fashioned way."  Yuki noticed the boxes scattered around the alleyway they were in.  Then she noticed the fire-escape ladder just a few feet out of her reach.

"Yeah. . ." Yuki said, "the old-fashioned way. . ."

The guards raised their weapons menacingly as a man dressed in black approached them.  "And just who do you think you are, buddy?" one of them asked, eyeing the figure.  The figure said nothing for a few seconds.  Then, he smirked.

"I," Minho chuckled, "am the worst thing that's ever happened to you."

Before the two men could even process what Minho had just said, a figure dropped down onto one of the men's shoulders from above.  Yuki quickly grabbed the man's neck and wrenched it completely sideways.  There was a sharp CRACK! and the man crumpled to the floor, dead.

"WHAT THE FU-" the second guard was cut off as Minho grabbed him by the shoulder and jabbed two of his fingers directly under the man's ribcage.  Minho's slender yet powerful fingers dug in deep enough to touch a nerve near the man's spleen, causing him to see spots and crumple to the ground in unbearable pain.  The guard was in so much pain that he couldn't even form a coherent sound.  He could only make a small, pathetic, animal-like whimpering noise.  Minho decided on Yuki's method of killing and quickly snapped this guard's neck as well.  Neither Minho nor Yuki were into torture.  They preferred to simply end things quickly.  Two figures popped up behind Minho and Yuki.

"Done?" U-Kwon whispered.  Minho and Yuki gave him the thumbs-up sign.

"Excellent," B-Bomb said, "you two get inside.  We'll move the bodies and take up our post here as the 'guards.'"

Yuki looked at U-Kwon and B-Bomb.  They weren't even part of S.M.  This mission didn't concern them in any way.  Yet. . . Zico and his entire gang were risking their lives to help Minho and Yuki.  "You guys. . ." Yuki said, "thank you."

U-Kwon snorted.  "Pfft.  You act like we're doing this because we were forced to.  Yuki, we're doing this because we want to."

"He's right," B-Bomb said, nodding in agreement, "we may not be soldiers, or anything cool like that, but we won't allow anyone to mess with our homeland and get away with it.  Now get going!  You have a meeting to crash."

Minho and Yuki nodded once before entering the building.  Minho checked his watch to make sure the tracker he had planted was still attached to its target.  He was satisfied to see the blinking red dot appear on his watch's map.  Motioning Yuki forward with two fingers, Minho crept forward, making sure he remained in the shadows.  Yuki followed suit.

The two noiselessly crept around the building.  Minho glanced at his watch every so often, just to make sure he and Yuki were going in the right direction.  Finally, Minho and Yuki heard low voices coming from a door.  Pressing a finger to her lips, Yuki pressed herself against the wall.  Minho did likewise.  The pair remained absolutely silent, straining their ears in order to hear the conversation inside.

"How much is in there?" one of the men asked, looking at the three suitcases placed in the center of the room greedily.

"All three suitcases together amounts to 400 million won," the North Korean spy replied in a bored tone of voice.  Another one of the men in the room let out a low whistle.

"Hot damn," he said, "that's a lot of money.  What did you say you wanted again?"

"By accepting this money, you and your men will agree to supplying North Korea with detailed information about all of South Korea's major cities.  This entails landmarks, banks, army bases, and jails.  You further agree to give us full access to your weaponry and, if necessary, manpower."

"No," one of the men said flatly.

The spy looked at him, no hint of interest in his eyes.  "What exactly are you saying no to, Sandeul?"

"My men will have no part in this," the man called Sandeul said sharply.

"No need to raise your voice," the spy replied, "if you are such a coward as to not willingly offer your men to us after giving you so much money-"

"ENOUGH!" Sandeul shouted, walking towards the spy and raising a fist as if to punch him, "I will not be spoken to in such a demeaning manner by some filthy North Korean dog!"  Sandeul let his fist fly.

The reaction was almost instantaneous.

The spy caught Sandeul's fist easily.  After a quick tug, he judo-flipped the Underworld Boss, causing the man to come crashing to the floor on his back and getting the wind knocked out of him.  Sandeul's men as well as the other Underworld Bosses inside the room jumped up and pulled out their guns, training them on the North Korean.  The spy already had throwing stars in both of his hands as well as a separate array of weapons stored within his coat.  "Save it," he said sharply, "I can kill every single one of you within minutes, if not seconds.  I am a fully trained killer, not just some un-trained gangster that just throws his weight around."  Then, the spy turned back to Sandeul.  "As for you," he said in a deadly tone of voice.  Placing his foot on Sandeul's chest, the spy pressed one of his throwing stars against the man's neck.  "If I am a dog, than you are worse than the foulest specimen to have ever infested this galaxy.  Ever try something like that again, and I'll make sure I'll torture you in the worst ways physically possible, got it?"  By this time, the spy had pressed the throwing star hard enough against Sandeul's neck that he had drawn blood.  Sandeul nodded once, afraid to move too much because of the sharp object against his throat.  The other men in the room lowered their weapons slowly.  It seemed to have dawned upon them that they were not messing with an ordinary man.  Another man cleared his throat and stepped up, attempting to speak to the spy in as calm of a manner as possible.

"Listen, the only think we CAN'T agree to regarding this deal is the use of manpower," the man said.

"And why not, Chinho?" the spy asked, continuing the conversation as if nothing had happened.

"The men of the Underworld don't directly involve themselves in someone else's fight," another leader said, "we can supply you with all the weapons and information you need, but we can't give you men."

A few seconds of absolute silence followed at the spy contemplated the man's statement.

"Very well," he finally said, "I respect your limitations.  Now, do we have an agreement?"

The Underworld leaders looked at each other uneasily.  Clearly, some of them weren't too fond of the idea of betraying their country for a load of cash.  But, as put in their own words:  "Money is money."

Finally, the man identified as Chinho raised his hand to shake the spy's.  "I believe we do," he said.  Right before the spy and Chinho could shake hands, there was a shout from right outside the door.

"What do you think you two are doing here?"

Chinho looked at the spy and then at the other leaders.  Another man in the room took three quick strides to the door and yanked in open.

Minho and Yuki froze completely, looking between the waiter that had discovered them and the very angry looking mafia leaders right in front of them. Three seconds of silence passed before everyone fully processed the situation.

Oh . . . Minho and Yuki cursed mentally.

"Well?  What are you waiting for?!" Chinho yelled at his followers, "GET THEM!"

div6.png

Yuki hit the back of the neck of the man that had opened the door with her gun and knocked him out before the pair dove for cover, narrowly missing the spray of bullets that started at Chinho's orders.  Both took cover on either side of the door as they quickly pulled out their guns.

"Minho?!  Yuki?!  What the hell is going on?!" Jonghyun shouted, hearing the sounds of gunfire over his earpiece.

"Not now, Jjong!" Yuki shouted, hidding behind the door again as more bullets came flying her way, "we're kinda busy at the moment!"

She fired her gun once more, nailing a man in the leg.  "We're not gonna last very long, Ice Princess!" Minho shouted, "there's too many of them and only two of us!"

Yuki grit her teeth and didn't reply, noticing that the men were slowly making their way towards where she and Minho stood.  Suddenly, Minho pointed his gun towards the ceiling of the room and fired.  With a resounding crash, the chandelier inside the room fell onto the heads of multiple men.

After another few minutes of vicious gunfire, Minho and Yuki knew they were done for.  Even though they had managed to take out quite a few men, both of their pistols had run out of ammo and the mafia leaders were quickly moving in on them.  If we're going down, Minho thought, we might as well go down fighting.  Tossing his pistol to the side, Minho drew his daggers, preparing for the final confrontation.  Yuki noticed Minho's actions and did likewise.  They were ready for anything.

Well. . . everything except for three multicolored balls flying past them and into the room the mafia leaders were in.  Yuki and Minho both recognized the sphere-like objects immediately.  "Smoke bombs?" they both said.

No sooner had the words come out of their mouths that the three smoke bombs exploded into a whirl of color.  "WHAT THE ?!" one of the mafia bosses shouted.

"That's right son!" a familiar voice shouted, "BLOCK B IS IN THE HOUSE!"

Minho and Yuki jerked their heads sideways to find Zico, B-Bomb, U-Kwon, Jaehyo, Taeil, Kyung, and P.O. grinning like madmen with multiple weapons in their hands. . . and they had brought quite a few friends with them.  "Let 'em rip boys!" Zico shouted to his men.  With multiple shouts of excitement, the sounds of gunfire ripped through the air once again.  B-Bomb and U-Kwon walked up to Minho and Yuki, grinning like mad-men.

"They don't call me B-Bomb for no reason," B-Bomb said, pulling out two more smoke bombs and throwing them into the fray.  U-Kwon tossed Minho and Yuki one katana each.  "Sorry guys.  No more guns that we can loan out," he said.  He spoke calmly, as if he WASN'T in the middle of a dangerous shoot-out.

"How. . .?" Minho asked in disbelief.

"B-Bomb and I heard some gunshots from inside and knew something was up.  We decided to call for backup before moving in," the man quickly explained, "now if I'm not mistaken, that's your target that just jumped out the window right?"  Even through the heavy, multi-colored smoke, Minho and Yuki were able to see the black tail of the spy's coat as he jumped and ran.

"Go get him!" Zico shouted as he fired his semi-automatic weapon, "we've got things under control hear!"

"WE CAN'T LEAVE YOU!" Minho and Yuki protested.

"Get the out!" P.O. yelled at the pair, "we can take these bastards any day!"

Taeil gave Minho and Yuki a light shove, finally pushing the two into action.  With one final look at Block B, Minho and Yuki muttered "thank you" simultaneously before sprinting out of the building in pursuit of the spy.

"!  Where did he go?!" Minho shouted and he and Yuki ran along the dark streets.  They had been running around for ten minutes already, but there was no trace of the spy anywhere.

Suddenly, a flash of movement caught Yuki's eye.  She grabbed Minho's jacket sleeve and put a finger to her lips.  "There, she mouthed, pointing down an alleyway a little ways from where they were standing.  Minho nodded once and the pair made their way towards the dark opening.

"I THOUGHT you said that they wouldn't find me!" the spy shouted, slamming one of his assigned bodyguards against the wall and choking him.

"Don't. . . know. . . how. . . found. . . you," the gang member choked out, "no one. . . knew. . ."

With a vicious shout, the spy slammed the man's head against the wall with a sharp slam.  The man crumpled to the floor.

He moved no more.

The other gang members assigned as the spy's guards backed away quickly, wringing their weapons in their hands.  The guard group was put together extremely last minute.  They possessed no guns, only things such as metal poles and daggers.  "What the hell have we gotten ourselves into?" one of them muttered.  The spy whirled around.

"Did you say something you piece of ?!" the spy asked.

"N-nothing," the guard replied.  The spy glared at the man once, but turned his attention to more important matters.

"I think we lost them," he finally said, looking around, "I need to get back to my country before they find me."

"It's a little to late for that," Yuki said coldly, her voice echoing throughout the alley.

The spy whipped his head around, spying Minho and Yuki at the end of the alleyway.  He had nowhere to run.  The alley had a dead-end and there was no way over the large wall.  The only thing he could do was fight.  Better risk these idiots' lives before mine, the spy thought.  "Finish them!" he shouted at the guards.  Minho and Yuki drew their blades, awaiting the on-slaught.  The guards raised their weapons and charged at the pair.

This should be easy, they all thought, there's only two of them and so many of us.  We'll be done in no time.

Oh, things were done in no time all right.

But not quite the way the gang members expected it to be done.

Minho and Yuki raised their blades, unafraid.  They ducked, blocked, and sliced their way through the gang members easily.  These guys are clearly not very comfortable with weapons that aren't guns, Minho thought as he effortlessly sliced the chest of the man that had tried to hit him.  The spy, who had been watching Minho and Yuki from the back of the alley, sighed in frustration.  "There's no doubt that they're good," he muttered, "even as spies.  I suppose if you want something done right, you've got to do it yourself."  He walked towards the nearest gang member.  The man was already on the floor, very clearly dead.  Bending down, the spy picked up the sword that the man had been holding and proceeded to join the brawl.  He spotted Yuki a little ways away from him.  Both she and Minho were preoccupied with the gang members that were trying to turn them into spy-kebabs.  He smirked.  Easy kill, he thought, and to think that I thought that they were actually skilled. . .  He moved towards Yuki and raised the blade.

Minho saw the spy before Yuki did.  "ICE PRINCESS!" he shouted.  Minho tried to swing his blade at the spy, but he was quickly intercepted and distracted by another gang member.  Yuki, however, had heard Minho's shout of warning and had turned just in time to stop the North Korean spy from cleaving her in two.  Having caught her attention, the spy immediately engaged Yuki in a vicious fight.

The girl's hair flew around her wildly as she blocked the spy's attacks time and time again.  The sounds of metal clashing against metal filled the air.  Yuki's back hit the cold brick wall of the alleyway.  The spy pressed his blade against Yuki's in an attempt to get her to succumb.  For a wild moment, the memory of fighting Minho flashed through Yuki's mind.

But this is different, Yuki thought to herself as she tried to push against the spy's strength, this isn't Keroro. . .

and this isn't just some petty argument.

Losing isn't an option.

"I.WON'T.LOSE!" Yuki shouted as she gathered all her strength to push the spy away from her.  Her opponent, surprised by her sudden surge in strength, stumbled backwards.  Yuki's eyes were burning with the fire of her determination.  Instantly, she began a series of the most complex offensive swordsmanship techniques she knew, attacking the spy at every angle.

The man grunted, not expecting the onslaught of attacks from the girl in front of him.  Yuki pressed forward, now pushing the spy back.  The girl's necklace swung freely around her neck, the purple gem at the center of her dragon pendant glittering venemously in the moonlight.  Even Minho, who was still busy with the other gangsters, allowed part of his mind to observe Yuki.  He wasn't seeing a girl though.

Instead of just some girl, Minho saw a fierce predator, a girl with long, flowing hair and gracefully swift movements, her eyes blazing with determination as she attacked again and again.  She must be exhausted, Minho thought to himself, but her attacks are coming out as strong as ever.  Minho's attention was diverted when one of the gangsters almost turned him into a Minho-on-a-Stick.

I can't kill him, Yuki thought, we need him alive.  But I can disable him.  With this thought in mind, Yuki swung her blade for an over-head cut.  The North Korean spy smirked.

Such an obvious attack after all of those techniques?  Foolish girl.  i can kill you here and now, he thought.  Confidently, the man raised his blade to block Yuki's seemingly obvious attack.  When their blades clashed together, Yuki smirked.  The man gave her a bewildered look.  "Tell me, girl," he suddenly said, "you used such a predictable move on me, knowing I would easily counter it.  Who are you exactly?  Why do you work out on the field with the rest of these male spies?  Don't you know that you are only a predictable little liability to them?"

Minho had heard the spy's words.  He remained quiet, waiting to hear what Yuki's response would be.  Finally, Yuki spoke.

"I'm not as predictable as you think I am," she said, releasing some of the pressure between her blade and the spy's, "to answer your question, I am a whirlwind.  I am a blizzard.  I am a dragon.  I am a friend to some and a horrifying enemy to many others.  I go by many names and many identities.  I am Park Kota.  I am Kim Ae Sook.  I am Hwang Ara.  I am Bul Yuki.  But most importantly. . .

I am no one's liability."

[A/N:  I won't lie to you guys.  This little quote I made for Yuki is probably one of my most favorite quotes so far for this story LOL]

With those words, Yuki let her blade slide along the spy's before yanking it away completely and turning in a full circle around him.  Then, now behind the spy, she swung her blade in a low, deadly under-cut, making the sharp metal slice straight across the back of the man's knees.  The North Korean spy fell to the floor, screaming and writhing in pain.  A dark stain began soaking the cloth near the back of the man's knees.  He was now immobile.

At the same time that Yuki had immobilized the spy, Minho had slit the throat of the last gang member.  The pair leaned against the wall, panting from the exertion of fighting for such a long period of time.  The only thing that could be heard from the next view seconds were the muffled whimpers of the North Korean spy on the floor.

"We should call GD Hyung and Seungri," Minho finally said.  "Hyung can get rid of the bodies and Seungri can take that back to the agency," he continued, jabbing a thumb at the North Korean spy.  Yuki nodded.

"I want to check on Block B and the rest of their men," she said, "just to make sure they're not hurt."

"I do too," Minho agreed.  "Taemin?" Minho said into his earpiece.  There was no response.  "Jonghyun?  Key?  Anyone?  What the hell?"  Minho tried touching his earpiece, but as soon as his hand made contact with the small device, the entire earpiece came apart.  "," Minho said, looking at the tiny black pieces in the palm of his hand, "I didn't even realize that it broke."  With some trepidation, Yuki touched her own earpiece.  Sure enough, her own miniature, black device had come apart.

"I knew it had been too quiet on the other end," Yuki muttered, "the guys must be freaking out."

"Seriously," Minho agreed, "I'm gonna call Seungri with my cellphone then."  Quickly, the boy dialed Seungri's phone number.

"Yeoboseyo?" a male voice said over the line.

"Seungri?  It's me, Minho," Minho said.

"MINHO?!  YOU GUYS ARE ALIVE?!" Seungri exclaimed, "Key, Jonghyun, and Taemin came running out of their spy unit saying that they thought something had gone horribly wrong!  All of us were thinking of the worst case scenario!  You have no idea how glad I am that you called!  I'm gonna go tell the others right now!"

"Seungri, wait!" Minho said, "I'm glad that you now know that both of us are okay, but the reason I called is because I needed a favor from you and G-Dragon Hyung. . ."

div6.png

Some time later, a large black van pulled up in front of the alleyway where Yuki an Minho were sitting.  Two men hopped out, both dressed in black. One of them had silvery white, gelled hair and cold, calculating eyes.  He wore a black mask.  The other had slightly softer facial features and tousled black hair.  Wordlessly, the two ran to Minho and Yuki and hugged them.  "Hey guys," Yuki said with a small smile.

"We thought something horrible happened to you two!" was the first thing out of G-Dragon's mouth.  Although the man had a tough exterior as a result of his job, he had a soft heart when it came to his friends.  Seungri spoke up as well.

"Taemin and Key are practically in tears just so you know," he said, "I told them you were okay and they practically demanded that they come with us.  Soo Man-ssi said no immediately obviously, so they're still fidgety.  These are the bodies, huh?  Where's our man?"

Without another word, Minho pointed to the corner of the alley where the spy lay.  The boy had made sure to staunch the bleeding of the man's wounds to make sure he stayed alive.  G-Dragon and Seungri nodded once, eyeing the North Korean male with disgust.  "We'll take care of things here," G-Dragon said.

"You guys should head back to HQ," Seungri said, "like I said earlier, the others are kinda freaking out."

"We have to go check on something first," Minho said, "but we'll head back right after."

"Okay," Seungri and G-Dragon said, "we'll see you guys back in Seoul then."

div6.png

Everything was silent in the building where Yuki and Minho had left Block B and their men to fight the mafia leaders.  "It's too quiet," Minho said, suddenly breaking the silence.  Yuki nodded nervously.

"You don't think. . ." Yuki said.

"No," Minho responded flatly, "that's impossible.  Don't even think about it."  The two quickened their pace as they made their way to the room where the fight had broken out.

The room looked like it had been hit by a tornado.  The door had been blown off its hinges.  Multiple bullet holes riddled the wall.  Actually, the wall had broken away in some places.  There were blood stains everywhere but strangely. . .

"W-where are all the bodies?" Yuki stuttered, "we. . . we killed some of them.  I know we did."

She felt a hand grab her shoulder.  Yuki reacted instinctively.

"YA!" she shouted, ramming her elbow into the attacker's stomach.  When he grunted and his grip loosened, Yuki grabbed his arm and judo-flipped him, sending him crashing to the floor on his back.  When the dust cleared, Yuki saw the alleged attacker's face.

", Yuki," U-Kwon coughed, "this is the SECOND time you've injured me today."

"U-KWON!" Yuki shouted in relief.

"Bro!" Minho said joyfully, "you're alive!  Where are the others??"  There was movement around the room.  Finally, six other figures stood up.  The rest of Block B yawned and scratched the backs of their heads.

"Can't you guys be less noisy?" Taeil complained, "I was sleeping over here."

Minho and Yuki laughed.  "Sorry guys," Yuki said lightly, "we just wanted to make sure you were all alive."

"Yep," Zico said proudly, "those heads had nothing on us.  They were all talk and no walk.  Mafia leaders my .  They all went running with their tails between their legs."

"And guess who's keeping that lovely 400 million won over there?" Kyung said playfully, jabbing his thumb that the three suitcases that Jaehyo and P.O. were holding.

"Eh, you guys deserve it," Minho said, "the spy's been detained.  He's with us now.  The agreement should be void now.  The mafia leaders aren't going to do anything without their money and well. . . that's with you guys now.  I think everything's okay. . . for the time being."

"Yeah, until another spy from some other country comes to try to us over," Yuki muttered darkly.  Block B laughed at Yuki's statement.

"Well if that DOES happen," B-Bomb said, "then we know which two spies out there are gonna come out and kick some serious ."

Yuki sent B-Bomb a playful wink.  "Damn right," she said, "guys, as members of Seoul's Military Intelligence agency, we salute you on behalf of all of South Korea.  Thank you."

All of Block B snapped Minho and Yuki salutes.  "Anytime," Zico said, "just try to visit us more often from now on, yeah?"  Minho and Yuki chuckled and nodded.

"Of course," they said simultaneously.

"But for now," Minho said, "I think it's time that Ice Princess and I head home.  It's been one hell of a day."

Yuki nodded slowly.  "Yeah. . . that sounds like a good idea," she said.

"You're free to crash at our place and go home in the morning," P.O. offered.  The rest of Block B nodded, acknowledging P.O.'s offer.  Minho and Yuki looked at each other.

"Sorry guys," Yuki said, "maybe another time."  The boys nodded in understanding.

"Well, drive home safely you two," Taeil said, "it's late."

"We'll be fine," Minho assured his Hyung, "I guess we'll go ahead and take off."

"Get some rest, guys," Yuki said, "I think you've had enough excitement for one day."

"Will do," Jaehyo said, "we'll see you guys again soon."

"Bye guys," Minho and Yuki said with a final smile before exiting the building.

div6.png

The ride back to Seoul was silent.  Besides the fact that Minho and Yuki didn't have their earpieces anymore, they were too tired to really try to communicate.  It was nearing 3 in the morning.

The purring of both bikes' engines cut off as soon as Minho and Yuki arrived in front of the S.M. building.  Taking of her helmet, Yuki slumped over her motorcycle.  Scratching the back of his head and rolling his eyes at the girl tiredly, Minho willed himself to get off of his bike.  "Yah, Ice Princess," Minho said, nudging Yuki's let with his foot, "get your fat off of your bike and come inside."

"Mmmf," Yuki mumbled unintelligebly, swatting weakly at Minho.

"Yahhhh," Minho said slightly louder, "wake up, pabo."

"I'm too tired," Yuki whined, "gimme a piggy back ride."

"Eh?" Minho said in shock, " no!  You're too fat for me."

"Ugh, you .  Carry me.  I'm too tired to movee~" Yuki whined once more.  Her eyes were closed, but the girl was unconsciously pouting.

Keke. . . cute, Minho thought, WAIT.  I MEAN NOT CUTE.  EW.  NO.

"Just get up fatso," Minho said, kicking Yuki slightly harder.  Minho idly wondered if Yuki would remember any of this later.  She was saying all these things while she was half conscious after all.

"Stop calling me that," Yuki snapped.  She raised her arms like a child.  "Jeballlll?  Yuki is so sleepy~"  Yuki's unconscious aegyo was adorable, but Minho was just slighly irritated.

"OH MY GOD, FINE," Minho finally grumbled.  Yuki grinned triumphantly as Minho kneeled in order for Yuki to climb onto him.  I can't believe I'm doing this. . . Minho thought to himself as Yuki latched her legs around his waist.  Yuki wasn't even fully conscious of what she was doing.  The girl was exhausted, even moreso than Minho considered she had gone on another late-night patrol the day before.  Yuki rested her head in the dip between Minho's neck and shoulder and sighed contentedly.

"You better not drop me, Keroro," Yuki warned tiredly.

"That's actually not a bad idea, Ice Princess," Minho said, smirking.  He shivered slightly when he felt Yuki's breath tickle his ear.

"er," Yuki cursed, "I'd kill you if you did."

"Yeah, yeah," Minho said, rolling his eyes, "just shut up and sleep, Ice Princess, before I actually do drop you."  As irritated as he said he was with the girl, Minho didn't mind carrying Yuki all that much.  Not that he would admit that out loud of course.

Yuki tightened her grip around Minho's neck and became silent.  Minho couldn't see it, but there was a smile on Yuki's face.  It had been such a long time since Yuki had felt it, but after years of remaining hard to the world and living to defend herself and those around her. . .

Yuki felt safe.
