Leave It To The Guys

Eun Ri sat in her room, curling at her hair and pouting as her hair came out of the iron straight as it started before it was wrapped around the barrel.

It was one of those times where she actually dressed up. Sadly, the last time she had ever done something this formal was when she was still back home with her mother and father.

She put down the iron and signed before leaning down onto the bathroom counter. She was already in her dress, makeup done and she couldn't manage to get her hair the way she wanted it to look.

She heard a knock at her door and inwardly groaned. She opened the door expecting Chen, or maybe Kyungsoo but she saw Luhan instead.

He was dressed all nicely in his black suit with white bow tie. His hair was styled upwards nicely and he stood casually, his hands shoved in his pockets. As casual and calm he looked, his heart was racing as he met eyes with her.

"Ah, I'm not ready." She mumbled trying to close the door and hide the mess in her room. She was about to close it when Luhan put his hand against the door and pushed it open. She pressed her lips into a thin line as he walked in.

"What else do you need to do?" Luhan said raising his brow.

Eun Ri blew a rasberry before running in front of Luhan and grabbing multiple items of clothing before shoving it into her luggage and sitting on top of it. "Just my hair but you can go first, I'll meet you guys the—"

"I'll do it." Luhan said.

"What?" Eun Ri said as Luhan walked into the bathroom and her curling iron. She leaned against the door as Luhan gestured her to sit down on the toilet.

"I think I can work this thing now sit and let the master do his work." He said adding a playful grin.

Eun Ri couldn't help but laugh a bit before getting her wrist dragged and her sat down on the toilet seat. "Watch it with that Luhan, it's hot." She said wincing as Luhan got closer.

"Calm down, I can use this." Luhan said waving the iron dangerously around. She blocked her face as he heard her chuckle.

He took a strand of her hair and wrapped it around the barrel carefully and held it before releasing it and dropping a curl around her face.

Eun Ri's mouth gaped open. "How..."

Luhan put his finger to her lips. "Sh, master needs concentration." He chuckled, taking another strand.

Eun Ri sat in silence, staring into the mirror as Luhan curled and pinned her hair. To her, it was a sweet gesture but she really wondered how the hell he knew to use an iron when she couldn't even make one curl.

Luhan bit his lip as he continued to curl her hair, running his fingers lightly through her hair making his heart pound. He had done this once, a long, long, long time ago. His chest hurt as he ran his fingers through her soft hair.

It was like a flash of memories flooding back and he couldn't stop the flash flood. Her hair, her smile, her laugh, it all came back.

Luhan smiled and tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. "All good." It was the past and there is never a reason to live in the past. Maybe he didnt really miss her but he missed the memories. You can't repeat the past, people say. Sometimes you're more in love with the memories than the person in them.

"It looks amazing Luhan." Eun Ri said observing her softened curls. "Thank you." She said giving him a light hug. Luhan froze and slowly hugged her back. Definitely more in love with the memories.

"We better get going." Luhan said walking out of the bathroom. The clock signaled they were going to be late if they didnt join the others quickly.

"Right." Eun Ri said grabbing her bag and heading out the door with Luhan. In the halls were other couples and people heading out to the dock where they would all board the cruise ship for the dance.

As she stepped forward, Luhan grabbed her wrist. She paused for a bit before he held out his arm for her to hold. She was a bit shy but took his arm and linked it with hers.

"C'mon, we better go." Luhan said.

Eun Ri's heart began to race as Luhan lead them out to the dock. He was being toothaching-ly sweet and it weirded her out a bit but this sweet Luhan was definitely something she could get used to.

Luhan knew if he didnt take the chance now to be with her, he'd never get a chance the whole night knowing how greedy his friends were with her. He just wanted to have his special moment with her, since she always seemed to put him in the shadows.

Even if it were only a few minutes to walk to the dock, to have her arm linked with him and to make it look like she was his date was enough to satisfy his feelings for now.

The dock came into view. There were twinkling lights going around and they could see people filing onto the cruise ship which was large, boasting two floors, probably a dance and dining floor with an open deck for people to dance and relax.

"It looks so pretty." Eun Ri said smiling at the ship. Luhan hummed and caught the eyes of his friends. The first one was Chen whom only smirked and pointed at the two to the others.

Eun Ri heard her name as well as Luhan's being called and instantly let go to greet her friends. Luhan sighed as his arm went cold from her lack of contact but mustered up a smile as Chen grabbed his shoulders and chuckled.

"So I see you hogging her first?" Chen teased.

Luhan scowled and pushed the male away before standing next to Sehun who was chuckling and nudging his side. "Hyung? Anything you want to say?"

"Not you too Sehun." Luhan pouted.

Sehun laughed and wrapped his arm around his hyung's shoulder. "I'm just saying. I'm glad to see you smiling genuinely."

Luhan blushed and looked down at his shoes but he let out a soft smile.

Eun Ri squealed over how handsome the guys looked in their suits, boasting nicely styled hair and crisp, clean suits making them look dapper. "You guys look like princes."

Xiumin wrapped his arm around her and squeezed her arms. "And you our princess."

Eun Ri blushed and scowled playfully before pushing the male away. "We should probably get on." She said pointing at the cruise ship which was slowly filling with people.

"Right, we better go grab a table so we can all sit together." Suho said as everyone began to walk in.

They made their way to the upper deck where the tables were. They grabbed a large table near the door to the deck.

Dinner was soon served as the ship began to sail. Dinner lasted for about an hour and as soon as two hours rolled around, people were already up and dancing.

Eun Ri watched as Kai and Lay went to the center of the dance floor and began to dance attracting a crowd of girls. Eun Ri giggled as they all fainted as the two did their body rolls in their suits.

She was busy watching Lay's fluid movements, being mesmorized by his swiftness when she felt a tap on her shoulder.

"May I have the next dance?" Baekhyun said cheekily.

The dancing music ended and a slower song came on. She wasnt sure if Baek had anything to do with the sudden slow dancing music playlist but with his cute grin, she couldn't say no.

Eun Ri went to the dance floor and wrapped her arms around his neck as he placed his on her waist. They rocked back and forth, laughing as they talked about funny memories.

As Baekhyun spun her, she found herself in the arms of Sehun next who gave her a playful wink. "Hey." He said nonchalantly.

The rest of the songs changed speed and style but she always somehow found herself with a new partner every new song. One second she was slow dancing with Kai, the next partying with Chen.

She looked around as she danced with Tao, noticing the other members dancing with a few girls from their classes. She chuckled as they looked a bit uncomfortable but they tried to be nice to their dance partners.

The music ended and Tao kissed her hand. "Thank you princess." He teased. Eun Ri smirked before getting lead to Lay.

Tao squeezed her shoulders before running off somewhere.

Lay stood in front of her as the next slow song came on. "May I have this dance?" Lay asked shyly. Eun Ri nodded slowly before Lay took one of her hands in his and pulled her close.

Unlike the others where it was fun and casual, Lay made her feel so much closer to him as he lead her around.

She averted her gaze from him, afraid he'd see her blushing cheeks and nervous expression, but if she only looked at him, she would notice the same bashfulness on his own face.

As they rocked back and forth to the music, she spotted Luhan dancing with a junior that she had seen around. Luhan was holding her closely but he never glanced at the girl once.

Eun Ri found it funny how Luhan seemed to be bored as hell as the girl was having the time of her life dancing with Luhan. She chuckled and didn't even notice when the music ended and Lay pulled away.

She found it a bit surprising she had nearly forgotten she was dancing with Lay. Maybe she was getting used to being around him.

"Thanks for the dance." Lay said squeezing her hand. If only she had known he was talking to her the whole time, telling her how pretty she looked, how much fun he was having. Maybe she was just busy thinking about something else. He'd try again another time.

Eun Ri smiled and nodded. "Thank you as well." She laughed lightly as Lay pulled away to find the other guys.

Eun Ri stood in the middle of the floor, rocking back and forth to the music, looking for any other members she could dance with.

Suddenly she felt her shoulder get tapped and she saw Luhan who gave her a shy smile. "I don't get a dance?"

Eun Ri rolled her eyes playfully and took his hand, dancing with him as closely as she did with Lay.

"I saw you earlier, with that girl?" Eun Ri chuckled as Luhan winced.

"She kept stepping on my toes." Luhan pouted as the two of them looked down to his scuffed shoes.

"Don't be a baby Luhan." She laughed. "You seemed to make her really happy. Is cold Luhan warming up?" She questioned cutely, making Luhan chuckle.

"Hell no. I just chose to be nice tonight. I felt bad you know?" Luhan scoffed putting on his cold facade again.

"Yah~ Xi Luhan." She frowned. "Rude." She said hitting his chest with the hand that was resting on his shoulder.

Luhan pretended to wince. "Ouch, that hurt Kitten." He said, smirking at the nickname.

Eun Ri growled and glared at him. "Don't you start with me Xi."

"Oh c'mon, doesn't that nickname bring memories?" Luhan laughed as he spun her around. "You have to admit, it's grown on you, no?"

"No." Eun Ri huffed.

"Well it's going to be my special nickname for you anyways." Luhan said laughing at her sour expression. Eun Ri pouted but didn't say anything to deny which made him happy.

"So Kitten it is." Luhan laughed.

"Whatever." She mumbled as Luhan spun her around once again as they continued to dance.

The music ended and the two pulled away, now caught up in a playful arguement about how Luhan was becoming a softy.

"You're definitely becoming nicer." Eun Ri said poking his arm as they made their way around the deck, searching for the others.

"Am not!" Luhan scowled pushing her hand away.

"Oh c'mon, you can't tell me you're not becoming nice when you said yes to dancing with those groups of girls earlier." Eun Ri said laughing at how immediately after they stopped dancing, he ended up dancing with another group of girls until Eun Ri decided she'd save his .

"And how you're nicer to me now?" Eun Ri questioned. She suddenly saw a wave of guilt wash over his face.

"Listen, all of that stuff in the past—" Luhan began to say.

"Is behind us." Eun Ri interrupted him. Luhan didn't say anymore and smiled, nodding.

"Hey, I think I see Kai and Chen." Luhan said pointing at the two guys near the edge. "Let's go meet up with them."

Eun Ri nodded. As they met up with the others, the rest of EXO began to gather. She leaned against the wall of the ship, smiling at the guys goofing around.

She smiled at Lay who was having a dance battle with Chen. She was a bit surprised with herself that she hadn't spent the whole night with Lay instead. She had literally spent a couple of hours just with Luhan, talking about the most randomest things and Lay had never even crossed her mind. It made her wonder a bit.

The night soon ended with the cruise stopped at the dock. Everyone began to file off and by the end of the night, the guys had their jackets off and their ties and bows loosened.

Eun Ri walked between Chanyeol and Sehun, their arms around her as they walked back into the lodges.

Luhan watched as she waved goodnight before disappearing into her room. As he and Lay made their way to their room, he noticed the male looked a bit quiet.

In fact, the whole night, Lay seemed down. He knew his best friend well enough that Lay was not as happy as he should be.

With the dance ending, it meant the end of the trip and that they would be going home tomorrow around noon.

Lay went over to his drawers and opened it up, throwing out his clothes onto his bed. Luhan watched as he threw everything into his luggage.

"Yixing...?" Luhan said as Lay sighed and sat on the ground. Lay bit his lip and curled up, hugging his knees. Maybe that kiss he tried to have with Eun Ri really did freak her out.

While they were dancing, Lay had tried to talk to her all night but she was off somewhere else in her mind. He just felt, like something was wrong.

Lay hummed in a montoned sound and picked at his clothes.

Luhan sat down next to his best friend and nudged his shoulder. "Hey, I know something is bothering you."

Lay sighed and threw the shirt he was holding into his suitcase. "I thought everything was fine between me and Eun Ri but apparently not. This vacation isn't going the way I thought it would Lu." Lay murmered.

Luhan tilted his head, feeling a little broken inside seeing his friend so hurt over her. "I thought she was fine with you yesterday? And I saw you dancing with her earlier."

When he was dancing with the junior, he kept his eyes on Lay and Eun Ri, occasionally looking away to speak to the girl he was dancing with. It hurt him but Lay looked so happy. He couldn't help but feel happy for him.

"I thought we were too but when we were dancing.." Lay trailed off, sighing. "I was talking to her, trying to do the things like you said, compliment her and small talk but she completely ignored me. I don't think it was on purpose but..." Lay frowned.

"It's hard for me to put myself out there only to not be heard you know?" Lay sighed.

Luhan bit his lip. Eun Ri definitely wasn't zoning out because she was worrying over something. No. Luhan would know. She wasnt thinking about worries but more like something else.m

"She'll come around Yixing. Be yourself." Luhan said trying to be supportive even though in reality, he was fighting his best friend for the same girl.

Lay nodded sadly and began to fold his clothes properly. "You're probably right Luhan."

That afternoon, everyone was packed and ready to head home. Since Luhan did not go with them on the bus before and instead brought his bike, he waved to everyone before strapping his luggage and driving off first.

Eun Ri sat on the bus in her own aisle as she sprawled her legs out and leaning against the window of the bus.

The trip was a lot more fun than she thought it would have ever been. She and Luhan were now friends, she made great new memories but she was glad to be heading home. She missed Kris and her own room and bed.

Every time they had a rest stop, Luhan would be waiting outside for them, wanting to get home with them at the same time.

Eun Ri noticed how tried Luhan looked but he tried not to show it when he would laugh loudly and act lively.

Riding a motorcycle for a couple of hours would definitely drain anyone and Eun Ri was amazed he made the trip the first time.

Especially at the bus's pace and schedule, Luhan was probably exhausted.

"Luhan?" Eun Ri said pulling him to the side. Luhan hummed, excusing himself from Chanyeol and Xiumin.

"Yeah? What's up?" Luhan said.

Eun Ri frowned. "If you're tired why dont you ask to switch places with someone Luhan?"

Did she really know him that well? His back was aching as well as his arms and he was tired from staying up with Lay watching movies. "I don't want to burden anyone."

Eun Ri frowned. "If you're tired, tell us Luhan." She said squeezing his arm. She knew he was probably going to be stubborn but she wanted him to be safe. It was dangerous to ride around tired.

Luhan blushed at her sudden care. "Thanks." He said quietly.

The rest of the trip, they'd make a few more stops and soon Seoul came into view. It was a few more minutes before they ended back at school.

All the students' cars were parked in the lot or the had their parents come and pick them up. Eun Ri helped the rest of the guys get their bags and haul them to the Hummer.

As everyone began packing up, the principal stood at the doors with a megaphone. "Enjoy your vacations and study hard! We will see you all when you come back."

Eun Ri smiled in relief as she remembered their vacation to study for midyears.

She hardly knew any of the subjects so taking a break to brush up on her subjects was well needed.

She and the guys climbed into the Hummer and drove home with Luhan driving by.

Eun Ri was excited to get home, greet Kris and take a well needed nap in her comfortable bed before dinner and starting vacation.

As they pulled onto their drive way, they drove to the front yard and parked their bikes and cars. Eun Ri hopped out first, smiling widely.

They all grabbed their luggages and began to run towards the front door, ready to tackle Kris to the ground.

Suho had called him last night saying they were coming home and he said he would be ready to greet them and that he missed them.

Eun Ri got to the door and waited for Suho to come with the keys when she realized it was open. Kris would never leave the door open, especially when Sunggyu and friends were back.

She turned around and looked at the guys with worry. They sensed her concern and suddenly stiffened.

"The door's open." She said trying to be quiet.

The guys even knew it was strange since Kris would never do so, even if he was inside the house.

"Let me go in first." Luhan said pushing his way to the front. He gripped the handle and pushed it open slowly, looking around the room.

He dropped his bags and ran inside and when he did so, everyone knew something bad had happened.

Eun Ri threw her luggage to the ground and ran inside to find Luhan holding an unconcious Kris in his arms, rage written all over his face.

The living room was ransacked, shelves toppled to the ground, couches flipped over, their things knocked down and it was a total scene of chaos.
