Leave It To The Guys

"Do you guys really have to follow me everywhere?" Eun Ri pouted as she closed her locker. Chen and Xiumin nodded widely.

"Don't worry, it's almost the maknaes turns anyways." Chen chuckled nudging her arm. She rolled her eyes and threw her bag over her shoulder before walking to her next class.

She loved the guys dearly but the fact they had been following her around everywhere made her a bit worried, wondering how dangerous these guys were that EXO was protecting her like her tears were the cure for cancer.

"Okay, I think Sehun and Kai should be inside. Stick with them." Xiumin said ruffling her hair. Eun Ri rolled her eyes and peeked her eyes into her art class which she decided to take as a fine arts class. She peered in and saw Sehun and Kai smiling.

"Noona!" Kai chirped, leaving his spot on the floor to run to her. He grabbed her hand and pulled her towards their table. Sehun smiled and waved to the girl before making room for her to sit between them.

Kai pulled out her chair as she sat down. She glanced around and noticed a few girls almost glaring at her. She knew EXO was quite popular among girls in their school and don't think she hasn't noticed the death glares she's been recieving. It was her choice to ignore them.

Sehun noticed the girls almost shooting daggers at Eun Ri and glared at them. Their faces went stoic and then a bright red color after getting caught. Eun Ri watched as they coughed and looked away, flustered.

"Ignore them noona." Sehun said softly. Eun Ri laughed lightly and nodded. "I think I have bigger things to worry about Sehunnie." She mumbled referring to the whole gang dilemma.

Kai frowned and punched her arm lightly. "But we got your back noona. Don't worry, we won't let them hurt you."

Eun Ri smiled softly. "Kai, what's so dangerous about them?" She wanted to know as to why they were so afraid to let her be alone. If she knew their ways, she was positive she could beat them.

Sehun rubbed the back of his nape nervously and looked at Kai who didnt know how to really answer. Eun Ri could tell they didnt want to talk about it anymore so she decided to drop it. She became more curious when their expressions lifted, as if a burden was lift off of them.

As the teacher walked in, the class began to take out their class projects. Eun Ri reached for a paint brush to finish her painting. As everyone else was focusing on what colors to use, Eun Ri had other things in mind. Who is Infinite...

After art class, Eun Ri had gym. After an intense run around the track, she was beat. Sitting on the grass, a water bottle appeared in front of her face. Kai handed her a bottle of water which she took gladly. Drinking down the contents, she tossed the bottle into the trash.

She stood up and wiped off her thighs which were covered in grass. She began to walk to the locker rooms when she noticed someone was behind her. She turned around and raised her brow. "Kai?"

The male stopped following her and smiled. "Yes noona?" She pressed her lips into a thin line and kept walking.

As she reached the door, a hand opened the door before her. She turned around to find him giving her a wide grin. She stepped in and when she noticed he was following her, she turned around and put her hands on his chest.

"YAH! WHAT DO YOU THINK YOURE DOING KIM JONGIN?!" She shouted. Kai blushed immediately and backed away, "I–I have to be with you at all times. Kris hyung's orders..."

She put her hands on her hips and peered up at the male whose cheeks where now a bright pink color, realizing what he was doing.

"I'll be fine Kai. We can meet at lunch, I highly doubt they can get me here." She said softly. Kai nodded and backed away. "I'll see you at lunch then noona." Eun Ri nodded and shook her head before laughing softly.

She changed out of her gym shorts and tshirt back into her uniform. Stuffing her things into her locker and tying up her hair into a loose ponytail, she grabbed her bag before going out.

She pushed the doors open and found herself surrounded by guys. She recognized the guys from some of her classes. Thinking they were just waiting for someone else, she tried to brush past them when one of them grabbed her shoulder.

She flinched but turned around to come face to face with one of the guys she recognized as Hyun Woo.

"Eun Ri right?" He asked cooly, eyeing her. She felt uncomfortable and nodded. "Hyun Woo." He said extending his hand. She took it cautiously and pulled away before anything.

Hyun Woo chuckled and eyed her in her uniform, liking what he was seeing. "So you new? I've never seen you around here before."

She coughed not liking the way he was looking at her, as well as his friends. She scrunched her nose and smirked, "I guess."

Hyun Woo was getting closer to her, close enough that she could smell his cologne on him. She tried to back away but only had him step closer. "Listen, a few of the guys and I were going out for a drink after school, so you coming?"

She shook her head. "No thanks, I have somewhere to go." The look on his face dropped and she knew she had only a few seconds to turn around and leave immediately before trouble brewed. She promised her Abeoji she wouldn't screw up in this school.

"Ah–Ah, where are you going Eun Ri?" Hyun Woo said grabbing onto her wrist. His grip was hard and she could feel his nails poking at her skin. He turned her around harshly, and made her face him.

"I'm going to ask again." He smiled sweetly. "You're coming right?" Eun Ri blew a rasberry before kicking him in the shin and making a dash for it. "I said no."

She was running down the halls when one of them grabbed her hair and pulled her back, making her back collide onto his chest.

Hyun Woo's friend wrapped one of his arms around her waist and another right under her chest, making her nervous. Hyun Woo appeared in front of her and scowled. "Listen here Eun Ri, I—" Hyun Woo wasn't able to finish what he wanted to say because a fist had collided with his face.

Eun Ri looked at the guy who punched him and found Lay panting as he held his fist. The male released her and began to go after Lay.

She was shoved to the side by Lay as he fought off Hyun Woo and his friends in the hall. Eun Ri whimpered as one of them punched Lay so hard she could see a bruise forming almost instantly on his cheek. She scowled and threw her bag down before going after the males.

She wasn't going to let them hurt Lay, especially after he tried to protect her. She could feel them clawing at her hair and she could taste iron in when one of them successfully punched her. It didnt take her too long to send the guys tumbling down.

She ran to get her bag and grabbed Lay's arm, helping him run away from the hall. They were lucky, the fight was located in a more secluded wing of the school or they would've gotten in trouble.

Once they got into a more busier wing, Eun Ri pulled Lay to the side. She leaned him against a wall and noticed his pained expression. Her eyes softened as she saw the bruises forming on his skin and his eyes shut tight as he tried to get rid of the pain.

From what she saw, she realized he wasn't a good fighter, which lead her to wonder what he doing in a gang but that question could be answered another time.

"Lay..." She said softly. "Are you okay?"

Her voice sent shivers down his body and he seemed to forget his pain for the brief moment. He gazed into her eyes and he suddenly felt like a failure. He failed to protect her and in the end, she had to get hurt because he was weak.

Lay pushed her hands off of himself and pushed himself up, wincing in pain. "Let's just go to lunch." He said softly. He didnt want to seem weak to her. Gathering his strength, he grabbed her hand and pulled her towards the lunch room.

Eun Ri bit her lip and followed behind him. Once they got to the lunch room, she saw Chanyeol and Kyungsoo talking to Kai asking where she was. Eun Ri waved her hands and she could see the instant wave of relief wash over everyone's faces but it was soon replaced with worry for their friend who was limping terribly.

"Lay?!" Luhan shouted running towards his friend. The male took Lay from Eun Ri's hold and helped him down.

"Lay, what happened?" Luhan said. Since Lay could hardly answered, the male glared at Eun Ri. He shouldn't have let his anger for whoever beat up Lay transfer over to Eun Ri but he needed to release his emotions. "You. What did you do."

Eun Ri frowned and looked at Luhan in shock. "M–me?! I–I..Lay was trying to help me cause a bunch of guys tried to attack me."

She swore she could see the wave of concern over Luhan's face but it instantly disappeared, getting replaced by anger over Lay getting hurt.

She looked over at Kai who held a guilty face for leaving her when he shouldve been watching her. She bit her lip and shook her head as the other members sent Kai, menacing glares. "It wasn't Dongwoo or anything. It was Hyun Woo so please don't be mad at Kai."

Everyone's expressions softened but she could tell they were still all concerned for Lay and herself. Seeing how Lay could hardly keep his head up without it bobbing around showed her, he was hurt badly. She began to back away and shook her head.

"I'll just leave you guys for a bit okay?" She said softly.

"Noona, don't—" Tao pouted. She shook her head, it'd be easier to give everyone a bit of space, especially before Luhan blew up in her face.

She slowed down once she was outside of the cafe and made her way towards her next class earlier than needed. As she made her way down the hallway, she heard someone calling her name. She turned around to find Lay running after her. The moment he looked like he was going to collapse, she caught him.

Lay pushed her away slightly making her heart drop. She averted her gaze away from him and bit her lip, not wanting to see him in the condition she caused him.

"Ri..." She heard him say softly. She looked up to find Lay frowning. "I forgot to ask if you were okay."

She coughed and nodded. "I–I'm fine." She rolled down her sleeves to hide her bruises but Lay noticed and frowned. "You're the one who needs help, pabo." She muttered helping him up.

"I'm sorry I couldn't protect you." She heard him say in a quiet voice. She instantly looked up and stared at him with a confused face. She should be the one to say sorry for causing trouble.

"Lay..." She began but the male shook his head.

"I'm the guy and we all promised to protect you and I failed Ri. I'm sorry." She could see the pain in his eyes. She sighed and stepped closer, confusing the male. Wrapping her arms around his waist, she hugged him but not too tightly to hurt him.

She felt his arms wrap around her. She could feel her heart beating quickly as well as Lay's. She had never felt this way but she liked the feeling of it. It made her feel protected. "Lay, you don't need to apologize."

She didnt feel awkward in the position and couldn't help but grin as his grip became tighter. She didn't know how she deserved such a caring person in her life. Lay was the one who helped her get through all her hardships. If anything, she would've guessed Lay was a gift from her Abeoji to protect her.

Somehow everytime Eun Ri felt down, he'd come to the rescue.

He pulled away but kept his arms around her. She could still see he was in pain but it seemed like it all disappeared. She blushed and smiled sheepishly as he gazed down at her. His pouting face made her want to squeal and pinch his cheeks. "But..."

She smiled and tilted her head, noticing he was still upset about him not being able to protect her. "If you're still upset, how about I help you train?"

Lay smiled and nodded, liking the idea he'd get a chance to redeem himself. "I'd like that."

She pulled away completely and laughed softly. "We start tomorrow afterschool."

And Eun Ri kept her promise. Eun Ri stood outside of the warehouse dressed in a pair of sweatpants and a tank top with her hair tied up. She rested her hands on her waist as Lay came out in unintentional matching sweatpants and wife beater.

She coughed seeing him in a wife beater and tried to hide her flustered face as she waved to him. "Ready to go for a run first?"

He nodded and began to run in pace with her as they ran a dirt trail going around the perimeter of the forest.

After the long run, Eun Ri and Lay returned to the warehouse and stood in the front on two mats, Kris had provided. Eun Ri stood facing him and tied her hair away once again. "Okay, Lay, just come at me."

Lay stared at her bewildered. "What?! N-No, I-I can't!" He said cutely. Eun Ri chuckled and smiled. "No seriously I'll be fine. Come at me." Seeing her confident smile, Lay sighed and came running at her.

Next thing he knew, he was lying on the mat with Eun Ri sitting on his stomache. She pouted, "I said come at me Lay. You're not going to hurt me."

Lay panted and couldn't help but have his cheeks grow red. He could hardly remember what had happened but all he knew was that he was lying on the ground with Eun Ri staring at him with a cute eye smile on her face.

He shoved her off and watched her tumble towards the grass. He instantly became guilty, thinking he pushed her a bit too hard. "Ri!" He said getting up and running towards the girl.

He found her lying on the ground. Bending down to get her, Eun Ri grabbed his hand and pulled him down. Eun Ri planned to throw him to the side but the male ended up falling right on top of her. He put his hands out so he wouldn't crush her and suddenly they both found themselves face to face.

Eun Ri could feel his hot breath on her lips as she realized her plan backfired. She gazed into his eyes and felt her heart racing rapidly. His chest was on hers and she wondered if he could feel her heart beating against her rib cage.

She noticed the healing bruises on his skin and he small cuts that had been created from the fight yesterday. She was glad to know Suho had helped heal him the night before after she got home.

She felt like her heart was going to give out so she pushed him off sending him to the other side of the mat. When she pushed herself off the ground and found Lay holding his cheeks. She decided to make it less awkward by laughing. "What? Can't beat me yet?"

She watched as Lay's expression changed and now his face wore a smirk. "Oh, you're going to get it now." He teased getting off the ground.

"LUHAN HYUNG! Can you call those two inside to wash up for dinner?" Baekhyun called. Luhan got off the couch and buried his hands in his pockets and nodded before making his way towards the door. Once he opened it, he could only hear laughter and see two shadows tackling each other.

Luhan watched as the shadows tumbled around. He knew it was Lay and Eun Ri and something in him made him guilty seeing Eun Ri. He knew he shouldn't have gotten angry with her and even though she seemed to have brushed it off, it was eating him away.

He was going to go tell Lay to go inside first so he could apologize but when he saw Eun Ri and Lay at each other's throats laughing, his stomach clenched. He didnt like how close Lay was getting and he was mad at Eun Ri for not pushing him away.

He bit his lip. He didnt know why he was getting so worked up but he didnt like it, not one bit. He didnt like the feeling he was getting, seeing Eun Ri's arms wrapped around Lay's neck as she tried to tackle him down.

He swore he could've bit through his lip when Lay caught her before she fell. He began to laugh softly when Eun Ri pushed the male away sending him to the ground. That's right. Don't let him near you.

He suddenly realized his thoughts and shook his head. He was going to push that thought away until he saw Lay hovering over her as Eun Ri was on the floor, scooting away. Luhan clenched his fists and the security lights, illuminating the whole field putting a stop to everything.

"YAH! BOTH OF YOU COME INSIDE FOR DINNER." He shouted. Lay stopped what he was doing and have Luhan a thumbs up before helping up Eun Ri. As they ran inside, Lay pat Luhan's shoulder. As Eun Ri tried to brush past him, Luhan pushed her outside the door and closed the front door behind him.

"Luhan?" She asked when he closed the door.

Even though it was dark, she could see he was not happy.

Luhan felt angry, angry that Eun Ri would let any guy so close to her even if he was her friend. He thought she knew better and that guys sometimes couldn't control themselves especially when they were with a girl like Eun Ri.

Any guy would give to be close to her. She was a perfect height, long hair, pretty round eyes, pink lips. She was a perfect target for guys like Hyun Woo. Not saying Lay would ever abuse her like that, but Luhan didn't like how she wasn't thinking.

"Yah! Do you realize you were holding up dinner." He scolded using dinner as an excuse. "What were you and Lay doing anyways?"

Eun Ri crossed her arms and raised her brow. "I was helping him train. Why do you care?"

Luhan bit his lip. Why did he care? He didn't like Eun Ri but for some reason he didnt want her so close to anyone. "I-I don't!"

Eun R rolled her eyes and scoffed at his stupid response. "If you don't then can we go inside. It's getting cold and I'm hungry." She mumbled rubbing her cold arms. Suddenly she felt a warm sweatshirt wrap around her arms.

She looked up to find a scowling Luhan. "We're not going inside until you...until you promise me you'll help me train too." He knew he didn't need any help fighting but he couldn't stand Lay being the only one to get so close to her.

Eun Ri dropped her jaw but then closed quickly. "Uhh...sure...I guess?" She said confused. She knew Luhan was a good fighter so she had no idea why he would want any help. She didn't fully trust him but from the angered voice and frustrated look on his face, she assumed he was being serious.

"We do the same things you do with Lay." He demanded. Eun Ri pressed her lips into a in line, "Of course."

"Okay."

"Okay."

"Fine."

"Fine."

"Then let's go inside for dinner then." Luhan grumbled opening the door. Eun Ri brushed past him and placed his sweatshirt on the couch as she ran towards the kitchen after she smelled samgyeopsal.

Luhan snatched his sweatshirt and gripped it tightly. "YAH! DONT JUST THROW MY STUFF ANYWHERE KITTEN!" He saw her head poke out from the kitchen with a lettuce wrap in . "Sorry Luhan!" She mumbled between her food.

Luhan sighed and held his sweatshirt, bringing it to his face noticing a light sweet fragrance to it. He smiled and put on the sweatshirt.

He decided he was losing his mind.

Eun Ri sat in her room and stared her walls which she had managed to fill with Polaroids of her an her Abeoji. She clutched Lay's blanket which she still failed to return and hugged it tightly.

Thinking about him made her heart flutter. It made her heart beat like in 2PM's song. She knew if you liked someone, you felt happy and cheery and that was exactly what she felt.

She couldn't believe it, but she knew she had feelings for Lay. The way he protected her, made her smile, and the way he was always there for her toughest times made her heart flutter.

But with the price of liking someone, came the worry if they liked you back. Eun Ri pressed her face into Lay's blanket and pouted. Did he like her? She wasn't too experienced with guys but if a guy is willing to protect you when he's in danger and make you smile when you're sad, it had to mean something right?

She lifted her head and threw her head onto her pillow. It was getting late but she couldn't help but stay up. Her mind filled with endless fantasies of her and Lay and she swore she was going crazy.

She decided she was losing her mind.
