Fragile Heart
One day. It has been one day since the agreement between Sohee and Jung Kook's parents. Sohee was lying down on her bed, thinking of ideas. But none had come to mind. She truly hadn't known what to do.

Sohee sighed. Her phone suddenly rang and she checked ther caller ID, only to see it was Jung Kook. Sohee sat up and smiled and picked up.

"Sohee?"

"H-hey.."

"So, uh,  Friday night, let's go on a date. Well.. Not really a date, but a dinner.. With.. My.. Parents.."

Sohee didn't speak for a while. She thought about if she could go or not. Should she accept so she could be with Jung Kook? Or should she refuse because of his mother? Sohee thought about the benefits and the loses, and she realized there was more reasons as to why she should go.

"Sohee?"

"Y-yeah? S-sorry. I was th-thinking. Uhm, y-yeah, sure. I'd l-love to."

Jung Kook smiled, even though Sohee couldn't see him.

"Okay. Well, I'll see you at school."

"O-okay. Bye."

Sohee hung up. She layed back down on the bed and took a deep breath.

I'm not going to regret it, right? I mean, I have to show Mrs. Jeon that I can be the right girlfriend for Jung Kook... I can't mess up, and I can't be afraid. Cowardice only shows that I am not worthy of Jung Kook. Sohee sighed and closed her eyes. She unknowingly fell asleep soon after.

The next day had come about, and strangely, Sohee was ignoring Jung Kook more than usual. In the hallways, they would make eye contact for merely a second, and then, Sohee would turn away as soon as their eyes met. Confused, Jung Kook decided to question Sohee during lunch.

But Sohee just ignored Jung Kook completely. She paid no attention to the table Jung Kook sat at and proceeded to the lonesome table she used to sit in. Bangtan was also highly confused with Sohee's strange behavior. Sohee hadn't ignored them at all after they all became friends, so why was she ignoring them now?

Sohee had her reasons, and they were definitely not because she was mad at Jung Kook or Bangtan. She liked them dearly, it's just that she was feeling a bit... Under the weather.

She was too pre-occupied. She had upcoming tests as well as the problem with Jung Kook's mother. Sohee was just so confused on how to think and how to act.

She became scared again.

Sighing, Sohee hid her head in her arms. It isn't even hard; I don't even need to stop talking to Jung Kook. He's my boyfriend. So why am I so scared? Sohee continued to think until a soft thud was heard beside her. Lifting her head up, Sohee turned to her right to look at the person who sat beside her. She saw Jung Kook with a sad face and immediately, she grew guilty.

"I-I'm sorry. I-I just--"

A soft smile formed over Jung Kook's lips and he cut Sohee off.

"What are you sorry for?"

Jung Kook smiled fully and his eyes turned into small cresents as he laughed a little. Sohee stopped frowning and smiled as well.

"Don't worry, Sohee. My mom will like you once she gets to know the real you."

Sohee nodded and sighed. She turned away from him. Sohee, though she should trust Jung Kook's words, really didn't know if she truly believed them. She wasn't one to really 'wow' people, seeing how only seven out of the hundreds of people in school like her. And even with six of those seven, didn't like her at first.

Truly, Sohee was always beyond confused. Why does Jung Kook even like her? She didn't know; perhaps she may never. But she was happy at least one out of the billions of people loves her.

Jung Kook took Sohee's chin in his fingers and made her face his way, softly. She looked at him, no longer a smile on her face. But the smile remained on Jung Kook's.

"I promise, okay?"

Sohee nodded and Jung Kook let go of her. He smiled warmly at her.

Losing him was going to kill her.

Ande the days went on. Everyday, Sohee would become more nervous. Friday was approaching fast, and Sohee was not ready at all. It was already Wednesday, and though the dinner was two days away, Sohee couldn't help but get scared.

School had already ended for the day and she was now at home. Sohee had already finished her homework, did all the needed cleaning, and now was stuck with nothing to do.

Perhaps... More studying? Ugh, no. Possibly... Find more cleaning to do? Ew, definitely no. Ugh what is there to d--

Sohee's thoughts were cut off when she heard the ring of her cell phone. When she saw the called ID, her eyes lit up with happiness.

"Oppa?"

"Hey, Sohee. I just wanted to check up on you."

"Awh, that's so sweet of you. But aren't you busy? Don't you have work?"

"No, not at the moment. I'm taking a small break."

"Ohhhh. Well, okay. That's good, since you're not tiring yourself out. I loved your new song, by the way. Voodoo Doll is amazing. But can you do a cute theme next? The scary thing is... Well, scary..."

Hakyeon chuckled.

"We'll see. I can't make the decisions."

"Oh, okay."

Though Sohee didn't sound sad or troubled at all, Hakyeon still noticed that something was wrong. Whenever Sohee was upset, she would always talk about random things and ask questions that she already knew the answer to.

"Okay, Sohee. Give it up. What's wrong?"

Sohee immediately started to get nervous again and fidgeted in her seat. She shifted uncomfortably on her bed and bit down on her lip. She didn't want to talk about the situation.

"Kang Sohee. Tell me."

Sohee closed her eyes, sighing. She opened her eyes and spoke,

"I met Jung Kook's mom. She hates me. And not only that, but she's making Jung Kook marry some other girl that hates me guts. Plus, I have to go to dinner with her Friday night. She said that if I don't prove myself to Jung Kook, then we'll have to break up and Jung Kook is going to marry that girl."

It took some time for Hakyeon to take in Sohee's words. When he finally understood, he tsked.

"Tsk, tsk, Kang Sohee. This is your big problem?"

Hakyeon asked, unpleased. Sohee frowned, confused and slightly offended. Why would she not call this a big problem? It was clearly very large, considering that she was going to lose Jung Kook.

"Excuse me? I'm about to lose Jung Kook, Hakeyon."

"Sohee, look, I'm not saying that this isn't something you shouldn't worry about, but come on. That attitude you have is what's wrong. The dinner hasn't even come up yet, and here you are, already knowing the outcome."

Hakyeon spoke, not happy with Sohee at all.

"Well I'm sorry for being realistic."

Hakyeon sighed again. This had been the first time in years since they've argued, and Hakyeon greatly dislikes the fact that they are arguing over a relationship 'problem.'

"Sohee, everything is going to be fine and you won't lose Jung Kook. What makes you think you are? You know what, don't even answer the question. I have to go now, Sohee. I don't have time to argue and talk about your terribly low self-esteem. Goodbye."

Hakyeon ended the call, annoyed. This was the only imperfection of Sohee in his eyes. And to him, it was the worse type of imperfection anyone could ever receive: low self-esteem.

Sohee sighed, annoyed as well. What's his problem? God, I'm just trying to be truthful, Sohee thought. Though deep down inside, so very deep where she didn't even realize it, she knew Hakyeon was right.

~

Friday had came by quickly. Sohee had picked out an elegant dress that didn't show too much, nor too little. It was higher than the knee, but lower than her thigh. Sohee liked the outfit she wore and was happy she was going to see Jung Kook. Though, she was sad as well.

But what hurt the most is that she'll have to lose Jung Kook.

There's no way, no possible way, I could get Jung Kook's mom to like me. I didn't come up with anything at all. And now, I'll have to lose Jung Kook. Sohee didn't know how to feel anymore, and she just let her face droop in sadness.

Sohee heard the ring of her doorbell and sighed. She got up and plastered a fake, happy smile on her face. Walking towards the door, she grabbed a blazer and her handbag. She opened her door and saw Jung Kook there with a bouquet of flowers. He was in a suit as well.

"Ready to go?"

Sohee nodded, her stomach becoming queasy. She walked out the door and locked it, then proceeded to walk with Jung Kook until they reached a limo. Jung Kook opened the door for her, and Sohee got in. Though, she couldn't help but let gape in awe. Jung Kook saw and chuckled.

"Sorry, my parents just really like to do things the fancy way. Or rather, my mother does."

Sohee nodded, understanding. After all, Jung Kook's parents were rich, so of course they could afford such a vehicle. But Sohee was still nervous. She fidgeted in her seat and played with her hands. Jung Kook reached over and intertwined their hands so Sohee would stop fidgeting.

"Don't worry, okay? I promise, everything will be fine."

It was that cute smile that got Sohee to relax. She nodded slowly and turned the other way to look out the window.

Tonight was sure to be interesting.

Sorry the chapter is pretty bad and probably rushed. If you know me, then you know I hate filler type stuff. That's just ; so I get right to the point. Or at least, I try. But anyways, did you guys enjoy it anyway? I hope it isn't so terrible. I know that what's happening right now is super unoriginal, but tbh, I like writing stuff like that XD I hope you don't mind. Next chapter will be the dinner, and it will most likely be short, just a heads up. Other than the story, I just want to say I love you all a lot <3 Thanks for taking the time to read my stories, really. <33

I have a huge favor to ask of all of you.

It's my birthday next Wednesday (February 19 <3) And I was wondering...

Will you guys be kind enough to lend me some karma?

I know its a pretty huge favor, but theres a story of mine that I would really like to advertise.

I want to advertise one of my stories for my birthday... It would be nice, since I don't think I'm getting any presents this year.

An advertisement for my story would make me happy, and I really want to advertise my newest Kris story.

I hope you'll all be kind enough to do so? But I'm so sorry for asking.

I just really want to advertise that story...

So please help me out?
