Fragile Heart
Jung Kook entered Sohee's apartment as she went to the kitchen to get water for him. Jung Kook sat in the living room, waiting for her. When Sohee came back, she gave him the glass and sat next to him. She fiddled with her fingers.
Well this is a little awkward...
The two thought. They both felt the awkward atmosphere, and the both hated it.
"So, uh, what do you do when you're at home?"
Jung Kook asked. Sohee looked at him.
"Well... I, uh, I-I don't d-do-AH!"
Sohee screamed when loud thunder roared again. Luckily, Jung Kook already put his glass down before it fell out of his hands because Sohee was once again in the boy's arms. Jung Kook secretly smirked. He loved it when Sohee went crashing into his arms. His heart rate went sky high when she did. And the best part was that it seemed to happen a lot now.
"S-sorry."
Sohee composed herself back together. She felt sheepish for always falling into his warm embrace. Sohee's heart would race faster, and Sohee knew very well why. But she still refused to like him. She couldn't trust him. She still didn't want to.
Sohee knew that there would be a day when he broke her heart, when he will leave her.
Sohee sighed and Jung Kook turned to look at her.
"Sohee, what's wrong?"
Jung Kook asked with worried eyes. Sohee looked at him.
"T-there's n-noth-thing wr-wrong. You sh-shouldn't wor-worry abo-out me."
Sohee looked at Jung Kook with no expression. He really shouldn't worry about me. I don't even know why he does so much.. Jung Kook turned away and stared into the wall ahead of him. Sohee cocked her head to the side and looked at him. He's so handsome.. But why does he talk to me? Jung Kook turned and looked at her. Sohee grew panicked, embarrassed that he had caught her looking. She looked away to the opposite side. Jung Kook smiled. He liked everything Sohee did. He liked to see expressions finally taking over her.
Thunder roared and lightening shined throughout the outside walls of Sohee's apartment. She was really scared of this, she truly hated it. I hate myself for being so weak..
"Sohee, are you scared of thunder and lightening?"
Jung Kook smirked at Sohee, but she looked really afraid. Jung Kook's expression softened, and he felt bad for the poor girl. How could he leave her here throughout the night?
"It doesn't look like it will go away anytime soon..."
Jung Kook couldn't help but feel really bad. He hated to see Sohee so weak and fragile. Her heart was fragile enough, but now her mind was too. Sohee was just too innocent.
"Will you be okay tonight, Sohee?"
"I-I don't kn-know.."
Sohee was really scared. She couldn't help but feel bad that she had kept Jung Kook here with her. She didn't know what to do. He couldn't leave, the rain was pouring down. It was pretty late at night now as well.
It was really awkward for the two. Jung Kook tried to start a conversation, but it would be short because Sohee didn't talk a lot.
Thunder roared. Sohee grew more afraid everytime she heard thunder and saw lightening. It just wouldn't stop! Sohee hated it so much. But she hated herself for being scared as well. Thunder isn't even that scary.. Why am I so scared? Aish, Kang Sohee..
It was now 10:00 at night, and Jung Kook still hadn't left the apartment.
"I-I'm so so-sorry for ke-keeping you h-here, Jung Kook.."
"It's okay. I can see that you're scared.."
"B-but how wi-will you g-get home?"
"I don't know about that.."
Sohee didn't know what to do. One part of her said to let him sleep over. Another part of her said that would be a really bad idea. Sohee was torn. If she asked Jung Kook to stay, he might get the wrong idea. But if she told him to leave, it would be really mean of her. And Sohee really wasn't the type to be mean.
Sohee struggled on what to do. In the end, she had made a decision.
"W-would you l-like... To st-stay over for-for the ni-night, Jung Kook?"
Jung Kook turned to look at Sohee with wide eyes. He was shocked that he had asked her to stay the night. Oh my god.. She asked me to stay over? Am I finally gaining her friendship?! Jung Kook was actually really happy that she had asked. He didn't want to go home in the rain, and he liked Sohee a lot, so staying over would make him really happy.
"S-sorry... Th-that was a ri-ri--"
"Yeah, I would like to stay over actually. The rain isn't stopping soon so.."
Sohee looked at Jung Kook. One half of her was happy that he didn't think she was weird. Another part of her was worried because what would people think once they see the two enter school together? What if people saw them leave the building together? Sohee didn't want to be more hurt than she already was. She just wanted all of this to stop.
But wait.
Jung Kook is with her.
If Jung Kook is with her, then no one can hurt her...
So the solution to Sohee's problem is to stick with Jung Kook at all times...
But wouldn't Jung Kook feel weird? Awkward? Uncomfortable? He probably wouldn't like it, Sohee thought. But I think we all know that Jung Kook would love it. Our poor, innocent, little Sohee just doesn't know.
"I-it's pr-pretty la-late no-ow. I'm go-going to go s-sleep.. I-I don't ha-have ano-another be-bed.. You c-can sl-sleep on m-my bed if-if you want.. I-I will ju-just sl-sleep on the fl-floor."
Sohee spoke to Jung Kook. Jung Kook frowned. He didn't want Sohee sleeping on the floor, it was too hard and cold. Sohee was too sensitive, the floor wouldn't be a nice area for her to sleep. But, a great idea popped into Jung Kook's mind. He smiled evilly on the inside.
"Let's sleep in your bed together!"
Jung Kook shouted excitedly. Sohee dropped a glass she was holding and it fell a few inches away from her. Sohee screamed, but luckily, it didn't hit her leg or foot.
"Sohee, gwenchana?! Sorry, that was wrong of me to say."
Jung Kook helped picked up the glass that Sohee had dropped, but he accidentally cut his finger.
"Ah! Shoot!"
Jung Kook waved his hand rapidly as blood spilled from his finger. It wasn't much, but it was still falling out from his system. Sohee ran to a closet and took out a mini first aid kit.
"Th-this might h-hurt."
Sohee rubbed a but of alcohol on a cotton pad over Jung Kook's bleeding finger and he hissed, but tried to stay still. Sohee took out a band aid and wrapped it around his finger carefully.
"S-sorry, th-that was my fault.."
Sohee whispered. Jung Kook shook his head.
"It was my fault, I shouldn't have said what I said.."
"N-no it's o-okay.. I-I mean, my bed is bi-big enough.. I wouldn't w-want you sl-sleeping on th-the floor or the c-couch.. It's v-very uncomfortable.."
"Great! Then let's head to it!"
Hellos~ LOL. YES. YOU ALL READ RIGHT OTL. I wanted something to happen XDD I didn't know what to put and I thought this would be really funny actually.. So I split this whole thing into three parts, as you , erm, can see LOL. Next chapter will have more. Sorry this chapter is so short. I hope you all don't die of anxiety from my story OTL. Oky..
