Worlds Collide
Jungah stepped back and bit her lip. Kris smiled, he could tell it took a lot of effort for her to say that.
“Thank you, Jungah.”
She smiled.
“I just had to say that before they call me ice princess or stone hearted again.” She shook her head. Kris stepped towards her and kissed her forehead.
“Still not telling me why you haven’t been acting yourself lately?”
“I just gave you an answer to your confession and now you want to interview me?”
Kris chuckled.
“Maybe later then.” He nodded.
Jungah smiled and walked around the conference room.
“Let’s go. It’s time for lunch anyway.”
“Why?” Jungah winced. Luhan chuckled from the other line. Kris was eating in front of her.
“You have a guest mei, be here after lunch.”
Jungah made a face.
“You’re not eating alone, right? I can come over and join-”
“It’s fine, I’m with Li Jiaheng.” She replied.
“H—Hao le, see you later.”
Jungah put her phone down.
“Needed at the office?”
“I don’t think so, he just told me I have a guest or something.” She shrugged. Kris smiled as Jungah continued to eat.
“You know….Luhan ge he told me the truth about you and Haera. Looking back, I feel guilty, I practically dragged you everywhere when I knew she would be there.” She frowned.
“It doesn’t matter. You provided much distraction. From fighting with ahjummas at the store and to insulting waitresses.”
“Ya, she was showing her chest blatantly.”
Kris chuckled and picked up a napkin, and leaned forward to wipe her lip.
“I know.”
“Yes, and there’s you who’s always judging people.”
“I kind of plan to go back to the track this weekend.” Jungah said as they stepped out of the restaurant. Kris nodded.
“What about your legs?”
“I’m fine, I get fidgety if I don’t race.” She nodded. Kris smiled and walked beside her.
“And, you have to come with me.” Jungah smiled and nudged his shoulder playfully, he chuckled and briefly wrapped one arm around her neck, then Kris gently kissed the side of her head.
“I cant say no to that.” He grinned as he let go.
“Yup. Anyway, I need to get to the office-”
“I’ll drive you there.”
“Of course, you made me leave the car at your company, tower.”
“Exactly.”
Luhan looked up as Jungah stepped in the office.
“Where were you?” He asked, Kris appeared behind her.
Luhan smiled.
“Anyway, mei,”
“Oh my god. You’re here!” Jungah grinned at the man who was sitting on the leather couch.
“I know. Did you miss me that much?”
Kris glanced at the other male.
“It’s you!” Jungah grinned and the man stood up and opened his arms for her.
“Now, give me a hug.”
Jungah chuckled and walked to him.
“It’s been a while, babe.”
She laughed and hugged him back.
